Can these so called “Lipo-Sculpture capsules” give you 100% natural weight loss they claim? Let’s find out.
The company behind Reduline 36 is Tower Health Ltd, a company based in Nottingham in the UK who has been trading since 1999. They produce a number of natural health products from join care, beauty and weight loss supplements.
There is an official Reduline 36 website that’s been designed using soft pastel pink and purple colours that are easy on the eye. The companies contact details are clearly displayed on the site, so it’s easy to get in touch with them. The supplement is also available directly from the manufacturer’s Tower Health company website.
We did our usual checks and could find no online reports of scams or rip offs from consumers who have purchased Redline 36 from Tower Health Ltd.
According to the manufacturer the supplement has undergone rigorous testing to be classified as a CE certified Medical Device.
Reduline should only be taken by overweight individuals with a body mass index (BMI) of 26 or more (if you are unsure of your BMI use the handy BMI calculator on the right!).
Each box contains 120 capsules in a blister pack, which has been manufactured in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practise) laboratory. You are recommended to take 1 to 2 capsules twice a day with a large glass of water around 30 minutes before you’re main meal. Unlike some other fat binder supplements, this means that each box will be amble supply for 1 month and could even last 6 weeks.
The makers of this supplement claim these natural weight loss fat binding tablets, binds to the fat in your food and stop your body digesting it.
In fact the fat binding power of Reduline is such that when couple with a diet plan can help you lose up to 3kg (6.6lbs) in 6 to 8 weeks.
Not only that, but Reduline 36 claim to help reduce cholesterol up to 25% when used with a low calorie diet!
These diet pills are known as fat binders as they contain a dietary fibre works by soaking up dietary fat from your meals, somewhat like a sponge and making sure it leaves the body without being absorbed.
These types of diet pills are recommended to be effective for individuals who frequently eat fatty meals and suggested to work without any dietary changes.
There is only one ingredient in Reduline, that is Chitosan.
Taking Reduline 36 capsules prior to eating can help to block the absorption of some of the fats in your meal. The excess unabsorbed fat is then excreted from the body in your stools without any side effects.
The claims of fast weight loss with Reduline 36 are overstated as the amount of weight you lose will depend on the fat content of your meals. Eat a reduced fat diet and the effectiveness of this supplement, or indeed any fat binder diet pills, will be significantly reduced!
As long as you‘re not allergic (see below) then Chitosan is most likely to be safe to take for up to 6 months. In some mild side effects such as stomach upset, constipation and excess gas has been reported.
Caution: You should avoid this supplement if you suffer from illnesses of the gastrointestinal tract such as Crohn’s Disease, ulcerative colitis and Diverticulitis, and if you’re pregnant or a nursing mother.
Allergy Warning: The main ingredient is made from the exoskeleton of shellfish so if you are allergic to shell fish you should avoid.
Apart from two “success stories” on the official website, we could find no independent consumer reviews or testimonials for Reduline 36.
As you would expect, the results from customers on the site are impressive with weight lost being 21kg and 19kg. Both show before and after pictures but there is no way for us to verify these results. We also take such testimonials with a pinch of salt.
If Reduline works depends on the effectiveness of Chitosan to block the fat contained in your meals. The clinical data is very mixed, with many studies suggesting there is no significant reduction in weight by taking Chitosan.
The manufacturer’s uses so called “scientific opinion” to support the weight loss claims of Chitosan. There are NO clinical references used but simply states that most of the large number of volunteers had significant weight loss during 12 weeks. Next are a few quotes from doctors to support the claims, such as…
Fourteen trials involving a total of 1071 participants were included in our review of Reduline 36. Analyses involving all trials indicated that chitosan preparations result in a small but statistically significant greater reduction in body weight compared with placebo.

Again, where are these trials? And importantly how much Chitosan was taken per day during these trials? None of this information is revealed.
Let’s take a quick look at the research that refutes such Chitosan claims.
A randomised, double blind study using 34 subjects over 28 days looked at the effects of Chitosan supplementation without any changes to the diet. They found that without dietary alterations no significant reductions in body weight were found.
The study abstract is here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10369493
Looking at the claims that Chitosan reduces cholesterol levels, a study involving 51 healthy overweight subjects found slight decreases in cholesterol after 8 weeks, but the results were not significant!
The study abstract is here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10420392?dopt=Abstract
Lastly, the effectiveness of Chitosan to help weight loss depends very much on the amount of fat actually removed. A study that looked at the amount of stool waste during Chitosan supplementation found fat absorption to be clinically negligible when subjects took 4.5g of Chitosan per day! Reduline 36 recommends taking a maximum of 2g per day of Chitosan, less than half taken in this study.
You can find read the more about the study here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12740459
In summary, the research suggests taking twice the amount of
Chitosan round in Reduline 36 causes little meaningful fat binding. Such that weight loss from Chitosan supplementation could be due to changes to diet and food choices.
Reduline 36 is available without prescription online directly from the official website, manufacturer’s website, and other 3rd party retailers and from Reduline’s Amazon store.

There is a very fair guarantee if purchased directly that gives you 30-days to return the supplement if you’re not satisfied. If it arrives faulty or damaged they will also refund the original delivery charge.
If you wish to purchase from other retailers check their terms and conditions for information on refunds and money-back guarantees.
The manufacturer looks to be a reputable and transparent company who clearly provide contact details and fair money-back guarantee.
Reduline 36 is reasonably priced if the 120 capsules last 6 weeks, if you take the maximum recommended dosage of 4 capsules per day then you could find that you’re paying nearly £50 per month, one of the more expensive diet pills we have reviewed.
The lack of any references to studies supporting the claims and quotes from Doctor’s and growing body of research contradicting Reduline’s weight loss claims, means we doubt this supplement on its own is too effective.
To lose up to 3kg within 6 to 8 weeks as Reduline 36 claim will likely be due to lifestyle factors such as changes in diet and exercise. Considering the number of other fat binder supplements that offer more credible data to support weight loss claims, we are going to reject Reduline 36.
The most potent Superfruit diet pill on the market, includes clinically proven Green Tea, African Mango and Acai Berry.
