In this review, we will be looking at ApexXx Espresso in more depth to see if it lives up to its weight loss claims.
ApexXx Espresso is a weight loss instant espresso, which can be consumed either as a shot on its own or with milk as an instant coffee. The manufacturers, ApexXx Nutrition, state that it is a ‘unique blend of Arabian coffee beans that have been binded with fat burning components’. The fat burning components include guarana, conjugated linoleic acid, and green tea.
There is a considerable amount of pure caffeine in just one scoop of the supplement – 160mg. There are also other caffeine based ingredients in the supplement; green tea extract and guarana paullinia cupana. In the warnings, it advises you not to take more than four scoops in a 24 hour period. If a user was to consume this amount, this would take them well over the recommended 400mg of caffeine, which would have side effects such as insomnia and disruption to sleep patterns, jitteriness, increased heart rate and palpitation, high blood pressure, frequent urination, and headaches, amongst others.
Tyrosine can cause nausea, headache, fatigue, and heartburn.
From the ApexXx Nutrition website, the supplement costs £22.94 for fifty servings. How long this will last you depends on how many scoops you have a day. This price includes shipping. On eBay which is the only other place we can find it being sold, it costs £26.99.
Describing this as an espresso is bold and untrue. It is instant coffee powder. There is a huge difference. An espresso is brewed by expressing almost boiling water through finely ground coffee beans with pressure. It’s slightly thicker and has a crema (foam with a creamy consistency) on top.
Instant coffee powder, which, according to the label, is what this product contains, is derived from brewed coffee beans. The caffeine content of instant coffee powder is usually less than that of brewed coffee. Immediately, this supplement got our back up because of it misleading – it is not an espresso! It states on the website it can be consumed either as an espresso shot or with milk as an instant coffee. Again, not true. It is just instant coffee, as you can buy from the supermarket, that can be consumed with or without milk, depending on your preference.
We also had more than a few concerns about the company. We don’t know much about them, and we suspect that they are giving discounts to people who leave positive feedback on their Facebook page (see our reviews section for more details) There is very little interaction from followers on their Instagram account, apart from automated comments.
The Facebook page and Instagram page associated with the company appears to be only a few months old, and they have only recently started accepting credit and debit cards as payment. The website and social media accounts are littered with spelling errors and appalling grammar, which make it all look very unprofessional and not particularly trustworthy.
On top of that, the company do not offer any sort of money-back guarantee for opened products, so if you’re not happy with it – well, it’s tough luck really!
In terms of its ingredients – it’s packed with caffeine, which will give you a boost of energy, and possibly a slight increase of metabolism, but the studies behind this show the effect isn’t all that great. There’s nothing in here that we would say is particularly brilliant for its fat burning qualities, making it a very expensive cup of coffee.
We don’t think we need to spell out that we absolutely do not recommend the ApexXx Espresso to our readers.

ApexXx Espresso is a ‘weight loss instant espresso’, containing a ‘unique blend of Arabian coffee beans that have been binded with fat burning compounds’. It isn’t an espresso; it’s an instant coffee with a few extra ingredients added in. It is manufactured by ApexXx Nutrition, who are a little known UK based brand selling a range of supplements and fitness clothing.
ApexXx Nutrition are based in London, in the UK.
To be consumed 30 minutes before a workout or can be consumed throughout the day as an alternative to your usual coffee brand. Use one 3g scoop to 200ml of hot water.

The only thing we are convinced this will do is keep you awake at night! There are so many ingredients in it that contain caffeine that it will give you a boost of energy. Caffeine also acts as a thermogenic – raising the core temperature of the body, forcing it to work harder to bring it back down, burning more fat as it does so. However, studies have shown that the effects are very small.
The taurine should, theoretically, help to combat the effects of the caffeine, helping to keep the user calm. However, with the sheer amount of caffeine in the supplement, we aren’t sure how well it will work!
These quantities are per each 3g scoop. Users can have up to four scoops in 24 hours.
The quantities of the following ingredients are unknown:
Tyrosine can cause nausea, headache, fatigue, and heartburn. High doses of caffeine can cause jitteriness, anxiety, increased heart rate, and disruption to sleep patterns.
Do not take with any other caffeine based products. Do not exceed 4 scoops in any 24 hour period. Do not exceed maximum daily intake. Food supplements should not replace a varied diet or healthy lifestyle.
We can’t find any reviews online for the ApexXx Espresso. When we had a look at their Facebook page, which has some five-star reviews, we noticed that ApexXx had given at least one of their customers 10% off their next order for leaving a positive review, which potentially makes them unreliable.
This supplement is available to buy from the ApexXx Nutrition website, costing £22.94 for a tub containing fifty servings. The only other place we found it for sale is on eBay, where it is being sold for £26.99.
