Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster

Arbonne is a huge multi-level marketing company that sells lots of cosmetic and nutrition products. Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster is a fat burner from the range. Whilst it contains some good ingredients, they are in such small quantities that they probably won’t be very effective – although this does make it quite a safe product. Thermobooster is also quite expensive, and distributors may well try to recruit you to sell products yourself.

  • Some ingredients used are clinically proven

  • Difficult to locate ingredients list
  • Very expensive product
  • Some ingredients present in small quantities
Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster
Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster is a weight-loss aid manufactured by Arbonne, a multi-level marketing company that mainly focuses upon cosmetic products.

With Arbonne consultants all stating that they use and love this product, we thought we would take a more objective look at just how effective the Thermobooster really is.

Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster Overview

What you need to know about Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster

The fact that this ingredients list was so difficult to find does suggest to us that the company wants to limit the amount customers actually know about the product.

One thing that we have noticed from this ingredients list is that many of the ingredients are present in extremely small quantities, meaning that even if they were all effective ingredients at aiding weight loss, their small quantities would make them less effective than other products containing greater doses of similar ingredients.

The main ingredient is a patented form of green coffee bean extract. Seeing as the main clinical trial to support this ingredient has recently been exposed as fraudulent, the use of this ingredient is now largely unsupported by clinical trials.

What are the side effects of Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster?

There may be some side effects, such as dehydration, jitters, increased heart, etc. However, the ingredient quantities seem to be so small that any risk is somewhat minimised.

How much does Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster cost?

A 30-day supply of Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster costs £49.00 (around $65).

Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster Key Features

Arbonne are a Direct Marketing Company that originated in the USA, but who have expanded internationally. The company sells a range of skin care, bath and body products, hair care, cosmetics, and most recently, a range of nutrition products, including Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster.

Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster Key Points

  • Manufactured by Arbonne
  • 60 capsules per bottle
  • Multi-level marketing company

The website has an ‘opportunity’ section which promotes the company itself, encouraging customers to sign up as consultants themselves. As this costs around £1500, this is obviously incredibly expensive, and it is likely that many consultants do not make this money back.

Consultants make money in two ways; by selling the products to friends, family, and anyone else they come into contact with, and by recruiting more consultants and receiving a cut of their sales. This is the standard method of operation for Multi-level marketing companies, which are often compared to pyramid schemes.

Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster Concerns:

  • Difficult to locate ingredients list
  • Very expensive product
  • Many problems associated with multi-level marketing company

Whenever our readers are considering purchasing from a company that operates in a multi-level marketing type format, they should remember that the consultant they are talking to most likely has had no in-depth training, and certainly has no qualifications to recommend any products or supplements to customers. That same consultant is also going to push for a sale, as they do not receive any pay other than commission. Finally, they will most likely inform you that their job is both profitable and incredibly fun or easy, and then encourage you to join up yourself, promising easy money- again, in an effort to increase their own income.

What does Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster claim to do?

The following statements are taken from a ‘Meet the product’ PDF found on the official website, that appears to be aimed at informing consultants about the product, along with talking points about what to mention to help sell the product:

ThermoBooster was developed for those embarking on a weight management program. It provides 400 mg per day of Svetol® (green coffee bean extract), which in a clinical trial was shown to help study participants manage their weight. Additional ingredients such as green tea extract, an Arbonne Proprietary Herbal Blend, caffeine, quercetin and chromium help support metabolism and thermogenesis.

In summary, Arbonne claims that Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster has the following properties:

  • Helps support metabolism and thermogenesis
  • When taken twice a day with a meal, helps support weight management goals

Does Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster work?

Given the small quantities of each ingredient in the proprietary mix, it is unlikely that Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster will have a noticeable effect upon weight loss. Whilst green coffee bean extract was generally considered to be a good weight loss aid, but as the main clinical study promoting it was entirely fraudulent, there is now no real evidence to suggest it aids weight loss or increases thermogenesis.

Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster Ingredients

The ingredients list provided below was incredibly well hidden on the official Arbonne website, and was at the bottom of a pdf file that seems to be directed more towards consultants than customers. On the actual sales page of the website, there is no ingredients list and only a brief description indicating that the product contains Svetol (green coffee bean extract) and ‘a blend of targeted botanicals’.

  • Chromium (as chromium chloride) (100 mcg) 83% RDA: This is used primarily to lower fasting blood sugar levels and to lower insulin levels in people who have type 2 diabetes. In terms of its potential effect upon weight loss, it is possible that taking chromium picolinate by mouth for 2 to 3 months might produce a small weight loss of about 1.1 kg. Obviously this is an incredibly small amount of weight loss, but studies are still inconclusive.
  • Green tea (Camellia sinensis) (leaf) extract (317 mg) (standardized to 45% EGCG) (standardized to 80% Catechins): Green tea is high in a group of antioxidants called catechins. Studies have suggested that catechins and caffeine both increase energy expenditure by boosting the metabolism temporarily. However, the metabolic increase caused by green tea is limited. One study found that the use of green tea was not enough to counteract weight gain following a high calorie diet.
  • Svetol® Green coffee (Coffea canephora) (bean) extract (200 mg): An extract from unroasted coffee beans. Whilst trials have shown that it could aid weight loss, the results of some of these have been retracted, as it was revealed that some results had been falsified. Read more about this scandal here:

Arbonne Proprietary Herbal Blend (50 mg)

  • Cocoa (Theobroma cacao) powder: Typically used to make chocolate because of its cacao content, there is little evidence explicitly this ingredient with weight loss. Studies in rats suggest it can lower cholesterol levels.
  • Ginger (Zingiber officinale) (root) extract powder (standardized to 6% gingerols): Some studies suggest that ginger root is an appetite suppressant. One study used dried ginger powder to make a tea that participants drank with breakfast. Researchers found that satiety levels were much higher when the tea was consumed with breakfast, rather than just the breakfast on its own.
  • Cayenne (Capsicum annuum) powder: Capsaicin, which is found in Cayenne pepper, is thought by some to play a role in weight loss. Some studies suggest it could suppress the appetite mildly, whilst others suggest that the heat causes a thermogenic reaction in the body, burning more calories for a period of time. However, there are also studies that show cayenne has little or no effect upon weight loss attempts.
  • Black pepper (Piper nigrum) (fruit) extract powder: Black pepper extract, sometimes known as bioperine, is used for increasing the bioavailability of nutritional compounds. In other words, it increases the amounts of nutrients that are absorbed into the body in the digestive tract. It may also increase the absorption of various drugs, which may lead to potential side effects.
  • Natural caffeine (38 mg): Numerous studies have shown that caffeine boosts energy levels and alertness, as well as mildly boosting the metabolism, causing a small increase in the number of calories used by the body. The effects shown in studies are small, and some studies are inconclusive.
  • Quercetin (1.5 mg): This flavonoid is used to treat a range of ailments, because of its anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. It used by some to improve athletic performance and endurance, but this is usually in much higher doses than are used here.

Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster Side Effects

Whilst some of the ingredients could cause side effects in some cases, the small doses of most of the ingredients does minimise the chances of these side effects occurring.

Caffeine can cause headaches, increased urination, dehydration, jitteriness, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, heart palpitations and problems sleeping. Cayenne pepper can cause digestive upset and stomach aches. Chromium can lower blood sugar levels and so diabetics should consult their doctor before purchasing this product.

Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Not suitable for those under the age of 18.

Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster Customer Feedback

Whilst there are some testimonials on the website, they appear to all be from Independent Consultants who earn a commission from selling Arbonne products. The reviews generally mention numerous Arbonne products, promoting that supposedly the nutrition products can be used in conjunction with each other.

Not only are the reviews all written by people who work for the company and who are fairly high up in the consultant rankings, but the before and after pictures provided are highly questionable. Whilst some do show significant weight loss, others look staged.

These staged pictures feature high ranking independent consultants posing in identical outfits, haircuts and locations, with very little, if any visual weight loss between the two pictures. With these pictures being staged, we also suspect that the reviews are incredibly biased- after all, it is in these women’s best interests to promote this product to increase their own sales and commission.

I finally like the person I see in the mirror. I am in LOVE with the ThermoBooster! It’s made a huge difference in my energy level and in my metabolism. And the Full Control helps to eliminate cravings and night-time snacking…big wins for me!

I love ThermoBooster ? and Full Control! Full Control helps me feel full to help support my weight management so I don’t crave the junky foods I used to desire, and I now eat healthier. I feel so good! I have more vitality and energy; it completely motivates me to be a better mom, wife, Consultant and leader!

Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster Money-Back Guarantee

There is no money-back guarantee. Customers may have trouble getting a refund, as with multi-level marketing companies it is often unclear who is responsible for the refund- the independent consultant or the company directly.

Where To Buy Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster

Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster can be purchased directly from the Arbonne website, or from a Arbonne Independent Consultant. With a 30-day supply of 60 capsules costing $65.00 or £49.00, this is an expensive product.

Add to this that consultants are trained to encourage customers to purchase a range of ‘complementary’ products that supposedly work well together, and customers are likely to be left with a large bill for a range of expensive supplements.

Watchdog Verdict

Overall, there is little to recommend Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster. Arbonne, the manufacturers are a MLM company that specialises in cosmetics rather than weight loss, whilst the product is not very strong, but is very expensive.

Looking at the testimonials, we suspect that many are fake, or at best heavily biased. The before and after photos honestly look staged, with high ranking independent consultants posing in identical outfits, haircuts and locations, with very little, if any visual weight loss.

Ultimately, Arbonne Evolution Thermobooster is not anywhere near good enough to recommend to our readers – whilst it is probably not strong enough to cause any side effects, it also is unlikely to cause a significant change to weight loss efforts.

  1. This works for me way too good. I was taking only one pill a day and it worked more like a colon cleaneser. I was inegized when taking it. Will continue to take it but only a few days on and few days off.

  2. I just completed a 4 week Arbonne program. I am not a consultant and I have no financial interest in the company. I also don’t know if the products have a lot of weight loss or nutritional benefits. I think for people like myself, it is more of a state of mind. When I got to the point where I was determined to lose some weight, perhaps it would have made no difference if I had chosen Arbonne or some other system. I lost 18 pounds in the 4 weeks and I feel great, so I am very happy with the results, whether due to the benefits of the Arbonne system or simply due to sticking to it and avoiding the foods that prevent weight loss. I should also mention that I did not incorporate any sort of exercise regiment into my 4 week program. Here are my comments on the actual products; The shakes actually taste pretty good, especially if you add some frozen berries, so that makes it easier to stick to the program. I have no idea if the thermobooster does anything. I’m not a tea or coffee drinker, so I found the herbal tea didn’t taste good. I only drank a few cups of this. The 7 day cleanse, I didn’t really find this had much of a “cleanse” effect beyond the first day or so, but it tasted absolutely horrible. The only real benefit I found during those 7 days is that the taste was so horrible I didn’t have much appetite for snacks afterward 🙂 So overall, I don’t know if Arbonne did it or if my determination did it, but I stuck to it and I lost 18 pounds, so I’m happy with the results and I would use it again. Actually I may.

  3. Apparently your company needs a watchdog. The information above inaccurate to say the least. Its unfortunate that your writer states “opinion” rather than because fact. Arbonne is a health and wellness based company, not a “cosmetics” company. A complete list of Ingredients for all products are always easily available. While it is virtually impossible in any industry to train people to be experts, the Arbonne consultants are well versed, trained and educated. I could go on, but I don’t feel this site is worth the effort.

  4. I found the full ingredients list very easily on the website. You actually need to click on “ingredients” to get to the list. Also, Arbonne has a 30-day return policy so your information on there not being money back guarantee is also incorrect.

    1. he return policy is a 45 day money back guarantee. (opened and partially used products included). Your consultant just needs to get an RMA number from home office and then it gets sent in. It may take up to a few weeks for the return at most but it can also be done within a week).
Also- it is a $95 start up which gets new consultants samples, catalogues and all the training they choose to access. Some consultants may choose not to educate themselves and that is unfortunate. I personally choose to educate myself on all of the nutrition line so I can accurately educate clients or potential clients of the benefits.

  5. I used this product and love it. However, I will say that your background information on Arbonne is incorrect. It is a health and wellness company. Not a cosmetic company. It began in Switzerland and then made its way to the U.S. in the early 80’s. Everything is now made in the U.S.

  6. The first thing that’s wrong is that Arbonne did not originate in the U.S. it was originated in Norway.
