BmiSmart is a weight loss brand launched in 2016 by InQpharm – a major international company with a strong presence in South Asia, as well as the UK, Canada, and North America. BmiSmart was launched by the North American division of the company based in Salt Lake City, Utah. InQpharm produces Litramine, the active ingredient in this supplement.
BmiSmart I-Remove is a fat binder supplement that will block around 28% of dietary fats you consume from adding to your body weight. This approach may help some people looking for weight loss support but in our opinion, reducing your fat intake may be an easier option. Customer opinion is mixed; some people are extremely favourable, others not so impressed. Good points are that this is a reputable brand and has been clinically tested. The downside is that results may not be as dramatic and as fast acting as many would like.
Potential side effects may include; abdominal discomfort, increased bowel movements, urgent bowel movements, gas, and diarrhoea.
BmiSmart I-Remove is expensive although you can shop around on price.
We found it on sale for $66.49 for 180 tablets (1 month’s supply) from Lucky Vitamin. UK customers can also buy direct from Lucky Vitamin for £53.73. International shipping charges are provided at the point of sale.
BmiSmart I-Remove is not currently available via Amazon.
Customers in Canada can find BmiSmart I-Remove (and the other two supplements in the range) from the Rexall drugstore chain, as well as Canadian health sites. We found it on sale from National Nutrition for $99 for 180 capsules.
BmiSmart I-Remove looks to be a reasonably effective supplement for some people, but it will depend upon your physical make up and specific weight loss issues. This supplement obviously does not work for everyone, judging by the high number of dissatisfied customer comments.
That said if you struggle with restricting fats but are trying to lose weight with diet and exercise, you may feel this supplement helps keep you on track. Litramine the active ingredient has been clinically proven to prevent 28% of dietary fat absorption, so this will help if your usual lifestyle involves a high fat diet. You could also use it occasionally when you have an event or a special meal, so that you can minimise the damage!
However an easier and cheaper option, and BmiSmart I-Remove is overpriced in our opinion, would be to make changes to your lifestyle by reducing your fat intake by a third, and that way you would actually be ahead of this supplement. After all, you really would only have to make small changes in order to achieve the same results that are promised by BmiSmart I-Remove.
We would not recommend this supplement because although it will probably work as described, we feel that it does not do enough for most people and is just not worth the expense.
Its ingredients are scientifically proven to aid weight loss and you are covered by a full 60-day money-back guarantee from a trusted company, making Phentatrim a very popular choice in the diet world.
Phentatrim is the best thing to hit the supplement market in a long time, with thousands of customers already seeing the benefits. That’s why it's our editor's top pick.

BmiSmart I-Remove is a fat binder weight loss supplement. Fat binders, or fat blockers as they are sometimes called, can help weight loss by preventing some of the dietary fats that you eat from being absorbed by your body.
BmiSmart Smart I-Remove contains a branded supplement called Litramine, which is manufactured by the bmiSmart parent company InQpharm.
Litramine is a weight loss formula based on a cactus extract called Opuntia ficus-indica, better known to many people as the Prickly Pear cactus. This cactus fibre is indigestible and when consumed it attaches to dietary fats in the stomach, making the fat molecules too large to be absorbed by the body. Instead these fats pass through the body as waste in the usual way.
Litramine will not block all fat. According to the product information, this supplement should block around 28% of dietary fat. So as long as you don’t feel that fat binders give you a licence to overeat, you should notice some weight loss even without drastically changing your diet and lifestyle. Obviously combining a supplement with a diet and exercise plan will help you achieve the best results.
Fat Binders are a safe method of weight loss, because they do not affect the way the body works. Unlike fat burners, they do not contain stimulants or any other ingredients that change mood energy levels or the metabolism.
BmiSmart Smart I-Remove is a reputable product. It comes from InQpharm, a multinational company that develops supplements for a wide range of health issues. There are three supplements in the bmiSmart range all which target weight loss, and as well as I-Remove, these are I-Control an appetite suppressant, and I-Block, a carbs and sugar blocker based on a proprietary blend called Tanitol.
Litramine has been developed by InQpharm, and is their own trademarked formula that has undergone clinical testing with very positive results.
UK and European customers will be familiar with XLS Medical Direct, an extremely well known and popular fat binder that is available in shops and stores just about everywhere. BmiSmart I-Remove is exactly the same supplement, but comes under a different name for the US market.
We covered XLS Medical Direct in a previous review.
To find out more about fat binders, check out our previous report.
According to the product information, there are five key features about I-Remove,
The advertising claims that cactus extract (Opuntia ficus-indica) in the form of Litramine is significantly more effective that other Nopal cactus extracts on the market, and better than and other fat binder ingredients such as chitosan which is derived from seafood.
You are encouraged to take I-Remove with other bmiSmart products (I-Block and I-Control) for the best weight loss results.
Yes, BmiSmart I-Remove will work for some people. Litramine has undergone clinical testing, and evidence in four clinical trials saw that it displayed efficacy in promoting fat excretion and weight loss. A weight loss clinical study carried out on 123 overweight people showed that Litramine caused significantly greater reduction in body fat composition and weight circumference than the placebo group.
One group was given a daily 3g dose of Litramine, and the other group was given a placebo. They all took 2 tablets, three times a day after meals for 12 weeks, but they didn’t know which group they were in.
The group who took Litramine lost 3x more weight than the dieters in the placebo group, with both groups eating less and keeping active. When they did the test again on 50 people for 24 weeks, it still showed that the group taking Litramine lost the most weight and maintained it.
A follow up study of people who had already lost weight found that Litramine was helpful in maintaining weight loss.
However bmiSmart will only be suitable if you eat a fatty diet. If you are already watching your fat intake, this supplement is unlikely to make much difference. It is also important to point out that the clinical tests were carried out on people who had a lot of weight to lose already. It may not be as effective for everyone.
Blocking 28% of dietary fats from adding to your body weight may make weight loss easier for some people, and although it might not be effective for everyone, this may help support weight loss and make sticking to a calorie control diet a little easier.
Serving size is equal to 2 capsules.
Opuntia Ficus Indica more usually known as Nopal cactus, Pawpaw, or prickly pear, is a large cactus plant that grows wild in hot conditions such as Mexico and India, and is the principle ingredient of Litramine. According to clinical testing on Litramine, it may help reduce bad cholesterol levels and blood sugar levels too. According to clinical testing, it can help reduce fat absorption by 28% so may help weight loss. However it is important to note that cutting down your fat intake by just over a quarter may be an easier option.
Gum Arabic is a natural sap derived from the acacia tree, and is often used as a binder in the food industry.
One concern about fat binders such as Litramine, is that they can deplete the body’s fat soluble vitamins A, D, and E.
Although otherwise Litramine (and so BmiSmart I-Remove) looks pretty safe, you may experience side effects and these may not be pleasant.
Not suitable for individuals under 18. Avoid if you are pregnant or breast feeding. Speak to your doctor before use if you have an underlying medical condition, or are taking prescription medication.
There are customer reviews and there is a range of opinion.
Some customers are pleased with this supplement. This lady is delighted with the extra support of this supplement, and provided a useful and retailed customer review about it,
I am a chubby lady. I have tried many times unsuccessfully to diet via al the advertised programs. What leads to my lack of success was my inability to lose weight. Well, in two weeks, I have lost 10 pounds. I am over the moon. I AM DIETING. However, in the past, that alone has not been enough. This seems to help actually get the weight off.
On the weekend, I take it with all meals. During the week though I only take it with dinner. It gives me the “rumbles” and I’m afraid of the repercussion if I need to run off to the bathroom. That said, I eat light during the day and consume a normal dinner. After dinner I take two pills. I’m telling you- I could not be happier. I am ordering a second batch. Yippee!
Many other customers are equally satisfied,
This pill really helps you stay on track when dieting. It keeps hunger under control and helps you with the cravings!!!!
I feel like this product works as intended. I noticed I did not gain weight during the holidays and I fully expected to.
Not all customers are as satisfied,
This did nothing for me, if anything it slowed down my current progress. Took as directed for 4 days. Gave me gas but no other side effects. I added this to my existing diet and exercise and my progress actually stopped. Save your money for a gym membership.
Did not work – don’t waste your money on this product.
One customer felt that BmiSmart I-Remove (and Litramine) was a scam,
If this is the “favorite” weight loss product in Europe then that makes me feel better because it means there are a lot of gullible people there, too, just as there are in the US. It also means they have a lot of scam products, just like we do. And this is one of them. Totally and completely worthless, no efficacy whatsoever. A scam.
We do not agree with this last comment. Just because this supplement has not worked for this man, doesn’t mean it is an ineffective supplement for everyone.
BmiSmart I-Remove does not come with a money back guarantee.
BmiSmart I-Remove is available from a wide range of outlets across the USA, such as Lucky Vitamin and Walmart. It is also available via Amazon USA and on sale from outlets in Canada.
If you are outside the USA, an easier option would be to buy XLS Medical Direct which is the same supplement under a different name. XLS Medical Direct is sold in the shops and is easy to buy in Europe, the UK, and in Australia.
