Lypodryl Facts

  • Manufactured by Boditronics
  • 90 capsules per bottle
  • Thermogenic fat burner and metabolism booster

Boditrinics Lypodryl Ultra Lean System is a thermogenic metabolism boosting diet pill designed to aid weight loss. It does not seem to be targeted at any particular age group more specific than adult customers, but should be used by healthy dieters.

Customers who are uncertain if they should avoid this product for medical reasons should take a look at the company provided caution notice, listed in the side effects section below.

How to Take Boditronics Lypodryl

Take 1-2 capsules 3 times a day, 30 minutes before food.

Do not take this product for prolonged periods.

Take for a maximum of 10 weeks and abstain for a full 2 weeks before supplementing with this product further.

Based on this recommended dose, a bottle of 90 capsules would last between 15 and 30 days.

It seems that Boditronics, the manufacturers of Lypodryl, do not have an official website, or any available contact information. It does appear that the company is based in the UK. Customers should contact the third party retailer they want to purchase from with any questions they have about the product or any queries about the individual returns policy or money back guarantee.

Boditronics Lypodryl Concerns:

  • Wide range of potential side effects
  • No manufacturer information available
  • Minimal customer reviews

What Does Boditronics Lypodryl Claim To Do?

According to the sellers of Boditronics Lypodryl:

Lypodryl Ultra Lean System is the latest, ultra-potent version of Boditronics’ popular Lypodryl metabolic enhancer. It could aid weight management goals when used a part of an effective diet and training regime. Lypodryl Ultra Lean System is an effective aid when used as part of a body fat reduction regime. Its highly efficient phyto-nutrients appear to be used by the body to stimulate the utilisation of fat more efficiently. Combining phyto-nutrients such as bitter orange, green tea, guarana, L-tyrosine and caffeine, works synergistically to take your metabolism into overdrive. Green Tea Extract contains an active ingredient called epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) which helps prevent the breakdown of norepinephrine, which is postulated to be a fat burning hormone. Bioperine may work to enhance the bio-availability of the formula. Lypodryl Ultra Lean System is a highly advanced and effective product, which can be used to good effect as part of a calorie controlled diet that includes a proper exercise regime. Following this regime could greatly enhance your ability to attain your fat loss goals.

Essentially, Lypodryl boosts the metabolism, increasing weight loss by increasing the number of calories burnt by the body each day. The manufacturers correctly point out that it works best when combined with a calorie controlled diet.

So What Is Boditronics Lypodryl and What Are The Ingredients?

The full ingredients list is below, with the quantities of each ingredient listed per two capsule serving:

  • Bitter Orange Peel (Citrus Aurantium) (325 mg): Also known as citrus aurantium, this ingredient contains synephrine. A review of numerous studies concluded that use of synephrine resulted in an increase to the participants resting metabolic rate and energy expenditure, and moderate weight loss was seen in studies lasting over 6 weeks. However, there are some concerns about its safety being under-researched and the numerous side effects that have been associated with it.

  • L-Tyrosine (300 mg): An amino acid that is a building block of protein, this ingredient is found naturally in many foods including meat and dairy products. Some people use it as an appetite suppressant, but there is little evidence that it is effective for this use. Large doses of tyrosine may be useful for increasing alertness, especially in people who are sleep deprived.

  • Caffeine (153 mg): Numerous studies have shown that caffeine boosts energy levels and alertness, as well as mildly boosting the metabolism, causing a small increase in the number of calories used by the body. The effects shown in studies are small, and some studies are inconclusive.

  • Green Tea Extract (90% Polyphenols) (100 mg): Green tea is high in a group of antioxidants called catechins. Studies have suggested that catechins and caffeine both increase energy expenditure by boosting the metabolism temporarily. However, the metabolic increase caused by green tea is limited. One study found that the use of green tea was not enough to counteract weight gain following a very low calorie diet.

  • Guarana Seed Powder (12 mg): A berry that is naturally high in caffeine, it is often an ingredient in energy drinks and diet pills.
  • Bioperine (Black Pepper Extract) (5 mg): This patented Black pepper extract is used for increasing the bioavailability of nutritional compounds. In other words, it increases the amounts of nutrients that are absorbed into the body in the digestive tract. It may also increase the absorption of various drugs, which may lead to potential side effects.
    Source:http://bioperine.com/
  • Vitamin B12-Cyanocobalamin (200 µg): Vitamin B12 is naturally present in many foods, primarily meat, fish and dairy products. It has several roles, including aiding in releasing energy from consumed food, and keeping the nervous system healthy. It may be that a deficiency hinders weight loss, but taking excess amounts could be, according to the NHS, potentially harmful.
    Source:http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/vitamins-minerals/Pages/Vitamin-B.aspx
  • D-Biotin (180 µg)
  • Capsaicin Extract From Hot Cayenne Pepper (120 µg): Capsaicin, found in Cayenne pepper, is thought by some to play a role in weight loss. Some studies suggest it could suppress the appetite mildly, whilst others suggest that the heat causes a thermogenic reaction in the body, burning more calories for a period of time. However, there are also studies that show cayenne has little or no effect upon weight loss attempts.
    Source:https://umm.edu/health/medical/altmed/herb/cayenne
  • Chromium (From Chromium Picolinate) (83 µg): This is used primarily to lower fasting blood sugar levels and to lower insulin levels in people who have type 2 diabetes. In terms of its potential effect upon weight loss, it is possible that taking chromium picolinate by mouth for 2 to 3 months might produce a small weight loss of about 1.1 kg. Obviously this is an incredibly small amount of weight loss, but studies are still inconclusive.

  • Vitamin B5 (D-Calcium Pantothenate) (30 mg)
  • Vitamin B1 (Thiamin HCl) (25 mg): The NHS states that thiamine is important for helping to break down and release energy from food. This may be relevant for maintaining a healthy metabolic rate, but in the majority of cases people can obtain all the thiamine they require from their daily diet.

So What Does All This Mean?

There are several different ingredients used in Lypodryl that have been clinically proven to aid weight loss. Caffeine is known to boost the metabolism, but the incredibly large amount present in the recommended 6 capsules per day is also likely to cause side effects, detailed below.

Bitter orange extract is known to increase the metabolism, but is also a powerful stimulant that has caused a variety of serious side effects in the past, leading to concerns over its safety. Cayenne and Chromium have both been associated with minimal amounts of weight loss over longer periods of time.

Tyrosine is typically used more by regular gym-goers and bodybuilders in the building of muscle and reducing fatigue, rather than to directly affect weight loss. Whilst having a deficiency of B vitamins could hinder weight loss efforts, these deficiencies are rare, and over-supplementing these vitamins is unlikely to increase the speed of weight loss.

Does Boditronics Lypodryl Have Any Side Effects?

Side effects associated with caffeine include headaches, increased urination, jitteriness, dehydration, increased blood pressure, heart palpitations and problems sleeping. Caffeine in turn enhances the effects of citrus aurantium, which carries its own set of side effects, including increased heart rate and increased blood pressure, heart palpitations, fainting, and even heart attack and stroke in healthy patients.

The Mayo Clinic has stated that, in their professional opinion, dieters should not use bitter orange extract to aid weight loss, because the risks of serious side effects (that are entirely unpredictable) outweigh the benefits of increasing the speed of weight loss. Potential customers who already have cardiac-related health problems should never use bitter orange extract, as it can exacerbate pre-existing heart conditions.

Bioperine is known to increase the absorption of numerous medications, which can lead to accidental overdose when taking normally safe doses. It may also increase the effects, both good and bad, of the other ingredients in this diet pill.

Chromium can lower blood sugar levels. Whilst in many cases this can aid weight loss by regulating hunger cravings, diabetics should avoid using chromium supplements, as it can interfere with their medication. Diabetics who want to control their blood sugar levels whilst dieting and using a diet pill should consult their doctor before buying any product, and monitor their blood sugar levels.

Cayenne can cause various symptoms which can include stomach irritation and upset, sweating, flushing, and runny nose.

This product is not suitable for those under the age of 18. The following caution message is listed on some sites selling Boditronics Lypodryl:

Caution:

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose of 6 capsules in any 24 hours.

Do not take this product for prolonged periods.

DO NOT USE LYPODRYL IF:

You are pregnant or nursing, suffer from high blood pressure, liver, thyroid or psychiatric disorder, diabetes, anaemia, nervousness, anxiety, depression, seizure disorder, stroke, or prostate problems.

If you are taking prescribed medicines, please consult a qualified physician before using Lypodryl.

Any Boditronics Lypodryl Reviews From Customers?

There is only one customer review for this product that we could locate:

Definitely helps aid in losing weight and gives u a boost before your workout would buy again 🙂

Considering the sheer number of sites that sell this product, all of which have facilities to leave a review, the lack of reviews is definitely disappointing, as it makes it harder to establish whether any side effects are common, and how happy customers are in general with the product.

So Does Boditronics Lypodryl Work?

The ingredients of Lypodryl in general are considered to be clinically proven to aid weight loss, even though the inclusion of B vitamins is fairly unnecessary.

Some of the ingredients, such as bitter orange extract and caffeine, and indeed the large doses they are provided in, could cause side effects alongside the desired effects of an increased metabolic rate and weight loss. But, without knowing what percentage of the Bitter Orange Extract is Synephrine, it is difficult to establish just how strong this ingredient is. Based on the ingredient quantities used, this pill is likely to aid weight loss and provide a significant energy boost.

Customers should start with a smaller dose than is suggested on the bottle, and only increase the daily dose if they do not experience any side effects. Obviously, those experiencing side effects should stop the use of the diet pill; choosing a diet pill that has a wide range of side effects associated with its use is potentially a waste of time and money, as serious side effects make the pill unusable.

Where Can I Buy Boditronics Lypodryl?

Boditronics Lypodryl is available from numerous online retailers, including amazon.co.uk, at a price of £16.26 per bottle of 90 capsules, with free UK delivery.

There are multiple sellers of this product on amazon, and so the listed price may vary depending upon the seller and the availability of the product. Dolphinfitness.co.uk also sell a 90 capsule bottle, priced at £14.35 per bottle, with discounts for purchases of multiple bottles.

Echosupplements.com sell Boditronics Lypodryl Ultra Lean for £13.99 per bottle plus delivery. Again, this site also offers multibuy discounts, with purchases of five or more bottles costing only £12.49 per bottle.

What About A Guarantee

There is no money back guarantee from the manufacturer. Customers should refer to the returns policies of the third party retailer they intend to purchase products from, before they place an order.

Watchdog Verdict

Overall, the product does seem to be promising in terms of potentially aiding weight loss, but the huge list of side effects and the warning from the Mayo Clinic to avoid Bitter Orange Extract, the main ingredient in this diet pill, is incredibly off-putting.

The total lack of information about the manufacturer is also worrying, as all we have is a name, Boditronics. We have been able to establish that they have a wide range of products, and seem to be based in the UK, but they do not even have a website or any contact details available.

Whilst the product does initially appear to be good value for money, retailing well under £20 for 90 capsules, because of the large number of servings consumed per day, a single bottle could last as little as 15 days.

Whilst this still works out as cheap compared to many diet pills, consumers should be aware of how long a bottle of any diet aid will last them. The large number of capsules to take throughout the day could also be off-putting to some customers.

Overall, despite the promising ingredients list, there are too many other problems with Boditronics Lypodryl Ultra Lean System to recommend it to our readers. The side effects alone should put off most people, especially considering the warning the Mayo Clinic has published about Bitter Orange Extract.

We reject Boditronics Lypodryl.

  1. Warren says:

I have used these many times when getting my “beach body” and they have been great. If used correctly then no side affects at all. Like all these things if used correctly and not abused then the do what there designed to do. I got down to 9.6% Body fat at the end of 2016 whilst using these, along with a good diet and exercise program. Would recommend them to anyone, but obviously not to anyone who is in the “caution” section.

  2. Ross McManus says:

You indicate that this product has no web site but please see boditronics .co.uk. It cannot have been that hard to find.
They are made to highest quality standards but one of the UK’s largest Sports Supplement Manufacturers.
