BPI Sports Nite Burn Overview

What You Need To Know About BPI Sports Nite Burn

BPI Sports Nite Burn is a weight loss/sleep aid capsule combined that you take before bedtime. However weight loss results are highly unlikely and although Nite Burn has helped some users sleep because it contains a proprietary blend including melatonin, other ingredients may disrupt sleep, causing wakefulness, bad dreams, and gastric issues like heartburn.

You can buy this supplement in either 30 capsules or 60 capsule bottles, which is enough for either one or two months’ supply.

What Are The Side Effects Of BPI Sports Nite Burn?

Many customers have mentioned side effects including insomnia, mind racing, broken sleep patterns, heartburn, vomiting and nausea, drowsiness and fatigue the following day, anxiety, being wide awake in the middle of the night, headaches, and bloating.

Other side effects may include increased bowel movements, increased urination, stomach pains, increased risk of neurological condition eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome (EMS), gas, diarrhoea, light-headedness, and muscle weakness.

BPI Sports Nite Burn contains tryptophan so will not be suitable if you suffer from depression or are taking antidepressant medication including Prozac or Sertraline. Speak to your health provider before use if you have an underlying medical condition or are taking prescription medication.

How Much Does BPI Sports Nite Burn Cost?

BPI Sports Nite Burn is not overly expensive. Buy from the BPI Sports website and it costs $25.99 for a month’s supply of 30 capsules. First-time customers are offered a discount code of 35% off all orders.

BPI Sports ship worldwide, with shipping costs applied at the point of sale.

You can also buy Nite Burn via Amazon where it is cheaper.

  • 1 x bottle of 30 capsules costs $21.95
  • 1 x bottle of 60 capsules costs $34.99

Our Verdict On BPI Sports Nite Burn

We don’t rate Nite Burn at all! The weight loss ingredients seem ineffective both in the quantities and for the purpose required. White kidney bean extract, for example, can be an effective carb blocker and appetite reducer at 2000mg per serving, but here as a named ingredient of a blend that only adds up to 640mg in total, is underpowered. In addition, if you are asleep, why would you need to block carbs and restrict your appetite anyway? It does not make sense.

The other ingredients are also a matter of concern. Although melatonin and lemon balm do help sleep, tryptophan is known for causing numerous side effects including nightmares and heartburn. Even the vitamin D3 content, which is good for health, is known to disrupt sleep so is always best taken in the morning.

In addition, Raspberry ketone and green coffee bean both have a stimulant effect so as well as being unproven for weight loss, are more likely to keep you awake than help you sleep.

This supplement is not going to work in the way as described for most people and with the added risk of side effects, we do not recommend BPI Sports Nite Burn to the Watchdog readers.

BPI Sports Nite Burn Key Features

The idea of BPI Sports Nite Burn is that this capsule will help your body lose fat while sleeping, by raising your body temperature in a process known as thermogenesis. It is also described as an aid to sleep and relaxation. You just take a capsule before bedtime and let the ingredients do the rest!

BPI Sports Nite Burn Concerns:

  • Looks more like a stimulant than a sleep aid
  • Side effects could be an issue
  • You should not take this in combination with common antidepressants but there is no warning about this in the product information, so many customers will not realise.

BPI Sports is a US company based in Florida, with a wide range of supplements on offer. We have covered some BPI Supplements in previous reviews, including super strength fat burner Roxylean, which is so high in dangerous stimulants that some users have had to go to hospital following taking it.

Other BPI Sports supplements include BPI Keto XT and BPI Keto Bomb.

Does BPI Sports Nite Burn Work?

It’s a nice idea that taking a capsule could cause fat loss while you sleep, but there is no evidence Nite Burn will work as described.

Night Burn does contain melatonin. This hormone is made by the pineal gland situated in the brain (as well as being made synthetically) and it regulates your sleep patterns. It is often used by people who work disruptive shift patterns, and is considered safe for short-term use and is effective. Lemon Balm is also known for a soothing sleep inducing effect and had Nite Burn just stopped there, this supplement may have at least helped you sleep and worked for that purpose.

However, tryptophan is known for causing a range of side effects and although this amino acid is supposed to make you feel happy by increasing serotonin, the brain’s feel-good hormone, in many cases it does the exact opposite. It is known to cause bad dreams and gastric issues like heartburn, which will not do much for your sleep patterns. And even vitamin D3 is best taken in the morning because it is known to disrupt sleep.

The weight loss ingredients are all fairly unproven. There is very little evidence for green coffee bean extract or raspberry ketone, and it seems highly unlikely these will help your body burn fat as you sleep. They may have a mild stimulant effect too which is likely to keep you awake.

White kidney bean can be an effective appetite suppressant and carb blocker if taken in the correct serving size (around 2000mg), but there seems to be little point in taking this before you sleep. Why would you need to reduce your appetite while you are sleeping? But at this low serving size, it is unlikely to have any effect whatsoever.

Dandelion is well known as a diuretic so makes you urinate more. You may find this causes you to get up in the night to pee more regularly.

What Are The Ingredients of BPI Sports Nite Burn?

Each serving is equal to one capsule,

  • Vitamin D (as cholecalcerifol) (1200 IU): Vitamin D3 is the vitamin synthesized from sunlight, and is important for ensuring healthy bones. Clinical advice is to take Vitamin D3 in the morning rather than bedtime because it is known to disrupt sleep patterns.

Weight Management Blend (640mg):

  • Raspberry Ketone: Natural chemical derived from the enzymes found in the fragrance of red raspberries, and which may affect a hormone in the body called Adiponectin. This hormone is important for appetite control and fat burning. Animal testing suggests Raspberry ketone increases metabolism, but it has not been tested on humans. The chemical formula for raspberry ketone is similar to the stimulant synephrine, so it may have a stimulant effect.
  • White Kidney Bean Extract: This is a good source of protein and fibre that can help you feel fuller for longer. Clinical testing has looked at supplementing with between 2000mg and 3000mg per day and found that it can help weight loss. Source
  • Green Coffee Bean: Research results indicate that slight weight loss may be caused by chlorogenic acid present in unroasted or green coffee beans, but there is very little real evidence. The safety and the effective dose have not been established and although green coffee seems to contain less caffeine than roasted coffee, it does not seem a good idea to take this before sleep. Scientists report, “More rigorous trials are needed to assess the usefulness of Green Coffee Extract as a weight loss tool”. Source
  • Dandelion Flower extract: Garden herb that is known for its diuretic effect.
  • L Tryptophan: Essential amino acid which means the body needs it, but it can only be obtained through diet from proteins such as turkey, salmon, meat, nuts, pulses, and eggs. Once ingested, L Tryptophan is changed in the body to 5HTP (5-Hydroxytryptophan), a chemical in the body that helps make serotonin, the brains feel-good chemical. There are serious concerns about the safety of taking Tryptophan in supplement form. It is linked with causing a neurological condition called eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome (EMS), and it can cause a range of other side effects including heartburn and stomach pain. In addition, it should be avoided if you are taking antidepressants such as Sertraline or Prozac.
  • Saffron: Very expensive spice derived from the crocus flower and important in culinary use. When tested on women between 21 and 45, it seemed it might play a role in eliminating snacking. However, results require further testing and unless snacking at night is your problem, we can see little point in it here. Source
  • Melatonin: This hormone is made by the pineal gland situated in the brain and it regulates your sleep patterns. melatonin can be produced synthetically, and it is effective for treating issues such as jet lag and insomnia. It is often used by people who work disruptive shift patterns and is considered safe for short-term use. Serving sizes range between 0.2 mg to 20mg, so this supplement may provide an adequate serving. Source
  • Lemon Balm: Lemon balm is a type of mint. It is often drunk in tea and it is well known for having a calming and sleep-inducing effect. Research also supports these claims.
