Burnitex contains just one ingredient: garcinia cambogia. This is very commonly found in diet supplements, and attracted a lot of attention after Dr. Oz popularised it on his show. However, since then its reputation has been somewhat diminished, as it doesn’t really appear to aid in weight loss. The company is a bit of a mystery, with very little information available, and the official website is poorly written and just generally confusing.
Pros
Cons
Below, we take an in-depth look at Burnitex Garcinia Cambogia, to see whether this supplement can aid weight loss as claimed by the manufacturers.
Burnitex Garcinia Cambogia is a weight loss product that claims to help you burn fat and suppress your appetite. It uses an ingredient that was once popularised by TV celebrity, Dr Oz, although its usage has attracted more controversy in recent years. With 30 capsules per bottle, this product contains a 30-day supply of garcinia cambogia.
We have found it very difficult to find out any information about the company at all, not even the company name which is very worrying. The address they give on their contact page is for a virtual office in Los Angeles, so it is hard to know whether it is genuine. There is also no email address to contact them which is very concerning. Is this product even real or is it just a scam?
Side effects of Garcinia cambogia may include nausea, heartburn, abdominal pain, digestive discomfort, headaches, and skin rash.
Its long-term safety is unknown, as clinical studies typically focus upon short-term use of up to 12 weeks.
Burnitex is incredibly expensive, it costs $59.99 for 1 bottle (30 day supply), $119.99 for 2 bottles, and $149.99 for 5 bottles.
Burnitex Garcinia Cambogia is a straightforward looking supplement that contains just garcinia cambogia extract as the sole ingredient.
Garcinia Cambogia is a South Asian fruit, sometimes called a Malabar Tamarind, which is used in cooking for its sour taste. However, in recent years it has come to the attention of the wider world, because it may be effective at helping weight loss.
There are no directions on how to take this supplement.
Garcinia cambogia contains high levels of hydroxycitric acid (HCA) and some research has suggested that this may help prevent the body from storing fat. It does this by inhibiting an enzyme in the body called Citrate Lyase, which helps break down the carbs you eat into fat; preventing this from happening means that it seems to work like a natural carb blocker.
In addition, HCA may help increase serotonin (the brain’s feel-good chemical) and, because low serotonin is linked to depression and over-eating, this action may improve mood and reduce appetite.
There are thousands of garcinia cambogia supplements on the market. If Burnitex Garcinia Cambogia is a real product, then it looks like a reasonably good one compared to most due to the 80% HCA. However, we are not told how much Garcinia Cambogia is in the product and therefore we cannot be sure; either way it is too expensive.
Burnitex claims to help to increase metabolism, slow the absorption of fat, and stop weight gain. However, all of the information on the website is very generic and mostly talks generally about garcinia cambogia.
Although garcinia cambogia is well known as a supposed weight loss ingredient, the evidence that proves that it works as described is not very reliable.
Some have suggested that HCA causes weight loss by inhibiting the enzyme adenosine triphosphatase-citrate-lyase. HCA has also been reported to increase the release or availability of serotonin in the brain, thereby leading to appetite suppression.
Other suggestions include mechanisms such as the inhibition of pancreatic alpha amylase and intestinal alpha glucosidase, thereby leading to a reduction in carbohydrate metabolism. Animal studies have suggested that HCA causes weight loss, and human trials involving the use of HCA as a weight loss supplement have been carried out.
A study commissioned by pharmaceutical giant Smith Glaxo Kline concluded that the effect is so small it is not statistically significant and the clinical relevance is questionable. They advised that future trials should be more rigorous, longer in duration, and better reported.
Overall, the evidence from randomised controlled trials suggests that Garcinia extracts/HCA will generate some weight loss short term but that the effect is likely to be very small. Source

It is unclear whether they offer a money-back guarantee. On the sales page for Burnitex, it states:
Do You Offer a 100% Money Back Guarantee? A: Yes. Although our customers repeatedly buy our products without ever having to make a return, we ensure a simple money back return policy. Which is unclear in itself, but in their Terms of Service they say:
WE WILL NOT HONOR EMPTY BOTTLE RETURNS!
We think it is safe to assume that getting your money-back if you are unhappy with the product is not going to happen.
You can buy it from the official website for $59.99 for 1 bottle (30 day supply), $119.99 for 2 bottles, and $149.99 for 5 bottles.
The only active ingredient Burnitex is Garcinia Cambogia with Hydroxycric Acid (HCA) content of 80%, which is high compared to the majority of other similar products on the market. It contains no fillers or other ingredients.
However, despite there being clinical evidence that Garcinia Cambogia causes weight loss in rats, the evidence in humans suggests that in the majority of cases, it does not aid weight loss, does not suppress the appetite nor burn fat, and does not increase the consumer’s metabolic rate.
At best, it may sporadically aid some weight loss in some people, but the mechanisms are not understood, and it is not worth paying money to find out whether you are one of the minorities who could benefit from this supplement, especially as the benefits could just be the placebo effect. Particularly as this product is incredibly expensive, especially compared to other very similar products on the market.
There is also a huge concern over the lack of information available about the company behind Burnitex. There is no way to say whether the company or product are in fact real, and there are lots of errors and poor English on the product website, which doesn’t help reassure us at all.
Added to that, the confusing and contradictory descriptions of how their money-back guarantee works or even if they have one at all.
Overall, we have no choice but to reject this supplement, as we do not recommend Burnitex Garcinia Cambogia to our readers.
