Onyx is a thermogenic diet pill that comes from Carbon Fire, a supplements company based in the USA. It contains a proprietary blend called the NeuroSyn Matrix which includes three key ingredients, 1, 3, & Trimethylxanthine – more commonly known as caffeine, chlorogenic acid derived from green coffee extract, and Huperzine. This supplement is expensive, and we feel that you are paying for the classy looking packaging and little else. Furthermore, we are unimpressed with the lack of customer feedback and have concerns about the guarantee.
Pros
Cons
It contains thermogenic ingredients plus a nootropic formula that will enhance mental focus and alertness. You can take this supplement as a standalone product or part as a three-product stack for 24-hour fat burning.
We take an in-depth look at Carbon Fire Onyx.
Onyx is a thermogenic diet pill that comes from Carbon Fire, a supplements company based in the USA.
We had not heard of it before but were immediately attracted by the classy black and orange bottle and the fact that if you buy the three product system for 24-hour fat burning, it comes in a triangular box that looks like an expensive gift set.
Carbon Fire Onyx contains a proprietary blend called the NeuroSyn Matrix. This contains three key ingredients, 1, 3, & Trimethylxanthine – more commonly known as caffeine, chlorogenic acid derived from green coffee extract and Huperzine.
Caffeine needs no explanation, it is the world’s best-loved stimulant and as we all know can provide an energy burst when you need it. It can temporarily increase the speed of the metabolism so may be effective for fat burning.
Chlorogenic acid is believed to lower blood sugar levels and reduce the absorption of carbohydrates and although it lacks firm evidence, this belief has made green coffee extract a popular weight loss ingredient.
Huperzine is more unusual and according to the product information, increases alertness and mental awareness by raising the levels of the brain chemical acetylcholine.
The NeuroSyn Matrix does contain additional ingredients but according to the product information, these three are the key components.
We shall examine the full ingredients profile later in the review.
You can take Onyx on its own or combine it with two other supplements for what is described as 24-hour fat burning or CF24 for an increased effect.
Take one (1) to two (2) Onyx capsules with 18 ounces of water in the morning 30 minutes before a meal, and one (1) to two (2) Onyx capsules with 18 ounces of water five (5) to six (6) hours later.
CF24 is a combination of three products and taking each at the correct doses for you will be key to the product both feeling and functioning exactly as it should.
Take Onyx, Armour T and Reset in a cycle of 5 days on, 2 days off. It is unclear whether you should also take a break if you use Carbon fire Onyx without the two other supplements.
The two other Carbon Fire supplements in the CF24 system are Armour T and Reset.
Armour T contains Iodine and chromium and as the quantities are unknown we would be extremely cautious about taking this supplement. Iodine directly affects the thyroid gland and can be dangerous in high quantities. Chromium is a trace mineral and should not be overused.
Reset is described as the missing key to 24-hour fat loss and contains a hormone called melatonin that plays a critical role in sleep patterns. It also contains Gamma Amino Butyric Acid (GABA) described as the most abundant neurotransmitter in the brain and believed to help support relaxation and sleep.
There is not much background information about Carbon Fire provided by the website. The company is based in Saint Louis MO but only lists a PO Box as its registered address on the website.
We looked into the background and found that this is a fairly new site, which has been running for less than a year.
However, Carbon Fire is part of a larger enterprise called Supplement Superstores, which is an American supplement franchise business, set up and operating in Missouri. There are 14 stores across the state.
The proven ingredients in Onyx have been combined to boost your metabolism, provide you with a powerful focused energy that will last throughout the day, completely control your appetite, and kill cravings for the not so good for you foods.
It will boost your metabolism to burn more fat in and out of the gym, providing you with a powerful, focused, all day energy so you can get the exercise you need.
It continues:
These ingredients have been shown to increase metabolism and raise core body temperature to force your body to burn fat for fuel.
It states:
the NeuroSyn Matrix™ in Onyx is a powerful blend of nootropics that stimulate neurotransmitters in the brain. These neurotransmitters are responsible for incredible mental focus and alertness.
This may sound impressive but there is no explanation about how any of this will work or whether there is any clinical evidence to support the claims.
Finally, the advertising claims, “It’s always a good thing to know exactly what it is that’s in this stuff you’re taking” but then fails to provide this basic information. The ingredient quantities are simply not mentioned. This means the customer has no idea just what he or she is taking.
We don’t think this supplement will be very effective for weight loss.
Most of the ingredients contained in this supplement are mainly associated with so-called nootropic effects so we cannot see why this should help you lose weight. In addition, the ingredients do not look safe and we are very concerned by the long list of side effects mentioned in the product information.
Many people find Beta Phenylethylamine addictive and taking mood-enhancing drugs will not be safe for anyone with mental health issues.
Increasing your adrenaline and stress hormones can decrease appetite and increase energy so many people look to these so-called sympathomimetic agents in order to lose weight. Sympathomimetic agents such as Hordenine mimic the effects of the flight or fight response; however, these types of ingredients have a poor history of long-term success in the treatment of obesity.
There are serious health risks too. According to reports, “strokes and cardiac arrhythmias have been the major concern about supplements containing sympathomimetic drugs.”
With a combination of proven ingredients, superb customer service and a 60-day money-back guarantee, Phentaslim is making big waves in the diet world.

Carbon Fire Onyx is a fat burner diet pill. The ingredients come under a proprietary blend and amount quantities are not provided.
This means it is impossible to assess just what this diet pill will do and whether there will be side effects.
Without ingredient quantities, it is impossible to gauge the strength of this supplement. Caffeine is probably high though, so you may notice stimulant side effects. The NeuroSyn Matrix contains some unknown and untested ingredients including stimulants that directly affect the central nervous system and increase stress and adrenaline. This can have a weight loss effect by decreasing appetite but comes with some pretty unpleasant side effects that are potentially dangerous.
The bottom line is that you will not know just what you are taking. There is a serious lack of information about the contents of this supplement, which is of concern.
You may experience side effects when you take Carbon Fire Onyx.
The product information comes with a long list of disclaimers and warnings, so this supplement obviously is known for causing side effects. Some of these may include:
We have been unable to find any independent customer reviews for Carbon Fire Onyx.
There is a much publicised 100% guarantee on offer, but it only seems to apply to CF 24 – the 24-hour fat loss system and not to individual products such as Onyx.
In addition, the product information does not tell you how to go about claiming your money back. There are no terms and conditions posted on the site either. We feel it might be a struggle to get your refund.
You can only buy Carbon Fire Onyx direct from the Carbon Fire website. However, it may as also be available from Supplement Superstores – a supplements chain that operates only in Missouri.
1 bottle of 80 capsules (4 weeks supply if used as directed) costs $79.99. Shipping is calculated at the point of sale.
The company does not provide any information regarding shipping and whether you can buy Carbon Fire Onyx from outside the USA.
If you chose to buy CF24 – the three-product system for so-called 24-hour fat loss, it costs $149.99 for one month’s supply.
We have some serious concerns about Carbon Fire Onyx.
It comes in some snazzy high-quality packaging (especially if you buy CF24 and get the triangular box) but the reality is that this supplement looks pretty dangerous.
It contains some so-called nootropic ingredients plus some strong stimulants but lacks to mention just how much of anything is contained in each capsule. This means that you are potentially gambling with your health. Even the company have provided a long list of warnings and disclaimers and make no mistake, they are not exaggerating. This supplement could be super strong. It could be very weak with caffeine as a principle ingredient. Either way, the lack of customer information is not impressive.
We are unimpressed with the lack of customer feedback and have concerns about the guarantee. It is flagged up as a cast iron 100% money-back guarantee, but there are no instructions about how to go about claiming. In addition, there are no terms and conditions so we think it is very unlikely that Carbon Fire will honour the guarantee.
Finally, the price. This supplement is expensive and we feel that you are paying for the classy looking packaging and little else.
Overall, we would not take Carbon Fire Onyx ourselves so would certainly not recommend anyone else to try it. It is an easy decision. We do not recommend Carbon Fire Onyx.

I am a victim of the dangers of CF 24 from Supplement Superstores in St. Louis. It is a horrible product. I took it first day and was awake until 3 am and heart palpitations and anxiety. Was awful. Had to return it and they argued that I should keep trying it. No way. I thought I was going to die. Please report
