However, this supplement will not help weight loss and side effects may be an issue, so make sure you read through our side effects information before you buy.

The supplement contains Alfalfa. This acts like oestrogen in the body so you should not take it if you have or have had a hormonally related medical condition. In addition, Alfalfa increases sun sensitivity.
A further problem with Alfalfa in supplements is that it interacts with medication including Warfarin and the contraceptive pill, so you will need to check with your doctor before using this supplement.
Other side effects to Cliniks Dandelion + may include stomach upset, allergic reaction, changes to blood sugar levels, changes to blood pressure levels, headaches, and tingling sensation.
Cliniks Dandelion + may cause dehydration. Symptoms of dehydration include thirst, dry mouth, fatigue, dizziness, heart palpitations, confusion, fainting, inability to sweat or urinate, weight loss, and fever.

Water retention is a common issue for many people. It happens when fluids build up in the body causing swelling, especially around the feet ankles hands and legs. For many women, this is a mild occasional problem that may be caused by a variety of reasons including their monthly period or pregnancy. It can also be caused by diet, poor circulation, inactivity, or other reasons such as taking some types of medication.
If you suffer from water retention, it is important to have it checked out by your doctor because it can be a symptom of more serious conditions such as kidney disease or a heart problem, but in most cases, there is nothing too much to worry about and you can improve the condition yourself.
There are some lifestyle changes you can make to improve this common issue. Increasing exercise, drinking more water, and cutting back on salt may all help. Eating foods that are high in potassium, magnesium, and vitamin B6 may also help, as will certain raw ingredients.
Cliniks Dandelion + contains a blend of ingredients that look to be effective for removing water retention. The principle ingredient is dandelion extract which is a powerful diuretic, so will make you urinate more. It also contains vitamin B6 and magnesium (although not potassium), as well as herbal extracts including celery, parsley, juniper berries, kelp, and watercress. Cliniks is a British herbal supplements company based in Braintree Essex. All supplements are manufactured in the UK in compliance with good manufacturing practice (GMP), and full ingredients information is provided.
Despite a professional looking label and Amazon sales page, we have been unable to find out much background information. The Cliniks website seems unobtainable and if it is online, it is impossible to find. We tried to check the company out on Facebook and even when we searched for the company in Braintree Essex, we just got a list of various clinics in the area.
The only place you can find Cliniks + Dandelion on sale is via Amazon UK. According to the product information, the supplement used to be called Water Lite, but has since been renamed and repackaged.
The listed address for Cliniks is Winghams House, 9 Freeport Office Village, Century Drive, Braintree Essex CM77. As you can expect, this is a business address for many companies including accountants, financial advisers, food importers, and a wedding planner!
The advertising for Cliniks Dandelion + does not explain how this supplement works or even what it is supposed to do!
“HIGH QUALITY INGREDIENTS – contains Dandelion and 7 specially selected natural yet powerful herbs.
NUTRIENT PACKED and easy to absorb.
SUITABLE FOR VEGETARIANS AND VEGANS and free from gluten, wheat, lactose, added sugar, additives, artificial colourings or yeast.
GREAT BOTTLE DESIGN – Our bottles are designed to FIT THROUGH THE LETTER BOX so there is no waiting in for deliveries!
QUALITY ASSURED – Our tablets are also manufactured in the UK to GMP Code of Practice, ensuring consistent high quality.”
These are all great points, but what is this supplement for exactly?
If you suffer from water retention, you may find that taking Cliniks Dandelion + helps, but we would not recommend that you take this supplement for weight loss.
Taking diuretics to make you pee does not make you lose fat and although you may look temporarily thinner, it is not a lasting effect.
We have concerns that taking this supplement may lead to side effects, especially dehydration. The herbal extracts may lead to other adverse effects too. This supplement is strong if you take it as advised, and although the herbal ingredients are taken for water retention, combining them all into one supplement and taking every day seems too extreme to us.
If you do suffer from water retention, there are some easy lifestyle changes you can try in order to reduce the problem. Cutting out or reducing salt, improving your circulation by doing some exercise or activity, and avoiding refined carbs can all lead to improvements. That said, we do think this supplement will probably work, but we would not recommend it for anything other than occasional use.

Cliniks Dandelion + may cause side effects and some of these are serious.
First up you should definitely avoid this supplement if you are pregnant or trying to conceive because many of the herbal extracts are known to induce miscarriage or menstrual bleeding.
Alfalfa can cause side effects when taken in supplement form. It acts like oestrogen in the body, so you should not take it if you have or have had a hormonally related medical condition. In addition, it increases sun sensitivity so you may need to wear added sunblock if your skin is pale.
A further problem with Alfalfa in supplements is that it interacts with medication including Warfarin and the contraceptive pill, so you will need to check with your doctor before using this supplement.
Other side effects to Cliniks Dandelion + may include:
Taking B6 may cause a tingling sensation.
This supplement may cause dehydration. Symptoms of dehydration include:
Caution: Not suitable for individuals under 18. Avoid if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive because some of the herbal ingredients are known to cause miscarriage. Speak to your doctor before use if you are taking prescription medication because this supplement may cause drug interactions. Do not take if you suffer from food allergies. If you do experience an allergic reaction such as swelling, itchy skin, or difficulty in breathing, get medical attention as soon as possible. There are only six customer reviews at the time of writing, and none of these seem very convincing. We checked them out on scam software and found there was a very low level of trust.
This reviewer mentioned the handy packaging:
I bought this through my boyfriends account and I’m very pleased with it. I really like the letter box sized bottle for ease of delivery. Thanks.
Another review was very similar:
Bought these for my girlfriend who is so pleased with the results. Compared to other products on the market these are great value, especially as they really do deliver results. So handy to have a product that can fit through the letter box too – will definitely be re-ordering!
Some customers are happy with the results:
I’ve been using these for over a month now and I can honestly say I’ve never felt better. It has relieved water retention and I don’t feel bloated after every meal. It has given me the confidence I need to go out for meals knowing I can eat in comfort. I will not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone looking to regain control of their lives again. Thank you Cliniks!
Take these everyday and will be re ordering, feel less bloated for sure on these!
There is no money-back guarantee.
You can only buy Cliniks Dandelion + via Amazon UK.
We are not impressed by Cliniks Dandelion +. Although we think this supplement will work as a diuretic as claimed, there is no reason to take this for weight loss reasons. Losing water weight is not the same as losing fat, and it can lead to problems of dehydration and more.
We have serious concerns too about the ingredients profile. So many of these herbal ingredients are known to induce miscarriage, yet this is not even mentioned in the product information. If you were trying to become pregnant, taking this supplement could seriously halt your plans. The other side effects may also adversely affect users.
All that said, if you have seen your doctor and tried to reduce water retention by lifestyle methods, you may find that Cliniks Dandelion + does help you. It contains a blend of ingredients often used for this purpose, and it does look pretty effective. Used occasionally, you may find it helps. However, in view of the health risks, the advice to take every day and the fact that people are taking it to lose weight when it is not a weight loss pill, we can only advise the Watchdog readers to avoid this supplement.
We do not recommend Cliniks Dandelion +.
