A lot of the Watchdog readers have been discussing Energize Greens so we thought it was about time to take an in depth look at this supplement to find out more.
We are not very impressed by Energize Greens. It is marketed as a health supplement yet it contains ingredients which are not actually that healthy at all, such as Soy Lecithin, a filler ingredient and the principle component of the powder and known for containing GM Soy.
We have concerns about the origins of many of the ingredients used in the powder. Where does the sea kelp come from? Are the probiotics actually safe? Has the Spirulina been contaminated? We are not exaggerating the risks here. These ingredients are all known to contain contaminants and may cause side effects, especially if you have a weakened immune system.
This supplement is expensive so you would expect this to reflect good quality. Don’t be fooled. There is nothing good quality about this supplement.
Side effects include stomach discomfort, nausea, vomiting, increased heart rate and blood pressure, increase in urination, diarrhoea, allergic reaction, and changes to oestrogen levels.
One bottle (one month’s supply) of energize Greens costs $67.00 plus $6.95 shipping to US addresses.
Two bottles of Energize Greens costs $119.90 plus $13.90 shipping.
Four bottles of energize Greens costs $199.80 plus $19.95 shipping.
Holistic Labs is obviously relying on an attractive name and some dodgy looking fake testimonials to sell this product without providing any real information to the customer.
In addition, there are no terms and conditions available so you don’t really know what you are agreeing to when you buy. In our opinion, it is highly likely that you may sign up for auto shipping without realising. Do that and you may have a fight on your hands to cancel it.
Overall, we are pretty appalled by Energize Greens. This is not a good quality supplement and it is certainly not worth the expense. In our opinion, you are more likely to find it a risk to health than a benefit. It is an easy decision. We reject Energize Greens.

Energize Greens is a powder which you add to water in order to make a Superfood energy drink and drink each morning. This supplement is not specifically aimed at weight loss but general health and is promoted for heart health, energy, immunity and a healthy body.
So what does it contain? Minerals such as calcium and iron essential vitamins and 35 Superfood ingredients in one serving. However balanced your diet already is, you are unlikely to get such a powerhouse of ingredients in one hit from a meal!
Energize Greens contains green superfoods, so there is wheatgrass, barley grass and Spirulina – a natural algae that grows in the world’s oceans and lakes and considered by some to be the most nutritous foodstuff in the world.
Energize Greens also contains Green tea Catechins – the antioxidants in green tea. It contains barley malt, bee pollen, spinach and grape seed extract.
Although most of the ingredients contained in Energize Greens look safe and healthy, there are a couple of concerns.
The principle concern is that the principle ingredient is the filler soy lecithin, which will be derived from genetically modified soy. It also contains Eleuthero for example, known as Siberian Ginseng, which can cause adverse effects such as increased heart rate and palpitations. (See more information in the ingredients section of the review)
With such a high number of ingredients contained in this supplement, you should read the list before taking, especially if you have any history of food sensitivities, allergies or a weakened immune system.
Take one tablespoon daily in the morning with 6-8oz of water or mix to taste. Only use as directed.
Energize Greens looks to be the all-American supplement. The label states it is made in the USA and the glossy website is very current and on trend.
We carried out our usual security searches and found that the business, Holistic Labs is actually owned by a company in Singapore but is based in Chicago and registered in Tortola. Does any of this matter? Maybe. The company do not seem very transparent and we have been unable to locate an address on the product website.
It seems unlikely that you will get any refunds if things go wrong, making the advertised 30 day money back guarantee look suspicious.
Another matter for concern is that the terms and conditions page of the website is unavailable, yet reading through the refund policy we were told that refunds also apply to items bought under auto shipping.
Auto shipping is where you sign up for a continuous supply of fresh product to be delivered each month and are billed accordingly. These agreements are notoriously difficult to cancel and many people have been tricked into signing up for them. There is no mention of auto ship elsewhere on the website.
Auto fill or auto shipping can be a perfectly legitimate sales policy but it does tend to raise alarm bells especially when it is mentioned on a product website yet the full details are not disclosed.

According to the product advertising, Energize Greens is:
Packed with green superfoods like Spirulina, Chlorella, Barley Grass, Wheatgrass, Alfalfa, Nova Scotia Dulse and many more…
And will:
Alkalize your body to optimal level of pH 7.35 – 7.45
There has been a lot of discussion just recently about the body’s pH balance and a popular theory for health at the moment is the practice of alkalizing your blood i.e. making it less acidic.
In truth, the pH level of your blood is tightly regulated by a complex system of buffers that are continuously at work to maintain a range of 7.35 to 7.45, which is slightly more alkaline than pure water.
According to medical professionals, you cannot cause your blood to become more alkaline or acidic by the food that you eat in any more than a minimal effect.
Other claims include:
None of these claims come with any explanation, proof or clinical evidence.

We are concerned about Energize Greens. We do not think it is a safe or effective way of boosting your health and we are finding it extremely hard to believe the testimonials on the product website.
The supplement is touted as a safe and natural but there is really no evidence that it will deliver the advertised benefits or is actually safe. There are serious concerns about some of the ingredients including Spirulina and the principle ingredient soy lecithin.
Energize Greens is a general health supplement that you take with the idea of feeling generally better and healthier.
Serving size is equal to one tablespoon.
With 35 ingredients, it is hard to gauge the effects of this supplement but we are not impressed with the high quantity of soy lecithin.
This won’t really be noticeable in any immediate way but many people are deeply concerned about the long-term health effects of taking genetically modified soy and its links with cancer.
Some of the other ingredients may cause effects that are more noticeable, including:
Caution:
Not suitable for individuals under 18. Avoid if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Consult your doctor first if you suffer from a pre existing medical condition or are taking prescription medication in case of interactions. Not suitable if you have or have had a hormonally related medical condition. Not suitable if you have a weakened immune system because of the risk of introducing infection via the probiotics and so called health bacteria and algae.
Because Energize Greens is sold principally (if not exclusively) via the official product website, there is no place for independent customer reviews.
There are plenty of so-called testimonials on the Holistic Labs website and most of these are lengthy and with ridiculous claims that the supplement will cure all types of medical issues and even ageing!
One customer reported:
Ever Since I Have Been Taking The Greens I Have Been Feeling Great! No more gas and bloating after I eat, and I can eat again!! completely life changing
This lady reported:
I’ve always weighed 145 and wanted to get into Skinny Jeans, have more energy, up early and at the gym. Also wanted to lose weight and look younger when visiting my cousins in Florida last month. Well, here I am 136 lbs. in my Skinny Jeans and I’m 66 years old. I love Energize Greens…and they love me!!!
This supplement apparently helps our skin look younger too:
I have noticed my skin has improved where age bumps had been appearing they are now disappearing!
There are what seem to be pages of this stuff. According to these so-called reviewers, this supplement improves gastric health, makes you feel more vital and energetic and makes you look younger.
One customer comment is interesting:
Hi I ordered Energize Greens on the Autoship plan and have not received my next shipment. Could you check and see if I am indeed subscribed for the monthly delivery. I am really doing well on it and today I used the last in the container. Thank you
It is important to note that there is an Auto ship plan. We can find no reference to this on the product website.
According to the advertising, there is a 30 days guarantee. Here’s what the company have to say about it.
You may return any auto ship or non-auto ship items sold in Energize Greens within 30 days from the date of purchase for a refund of the product price only (shipping fees are non-refundable), less the processing and handling fees, accompanied by a copy of your original invoice. Refund request must be sent in writing by email to customer support.
If you have bought a bulk order (more than one bottle), you are only covered for one opened bottle with the remaining bottles intact. You need to return all bottles to qualify for your refund.
You need to contact the company for the return address.
You can only buy Energize Greens via the official website. Although some of the Watchdog comments mention it is for sale via Amazon, we have been unable to find it on sale via any other third party website. It is not in the shops or stores either.
Payment is via PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal account, you can still pay via PayPal by using a credit card.
We have some concerns about Auto shipping. When you come to pay for your bottles, you are instantly taken to your PayPal account so it is incredibly easy and quick to do. There is nowhere on the page that mentions auto shipping yet, this is mentioned in the terms and conditions about refunds and in one of the so called customer testimonials, so Holistic Labs are obviously doing this but not mentioning it.
There are no terms and conditions regarding sales, which is a shocking omission, and in our opinion Holistic Labs may sign you up to auto ship without you realising.
Prices are as follows:
One bottle (one month’s supply) of energize Greens costs $67.00 plus $6.95 shipping to US addresses.
Two bottles of Energize Greens costs $119.90 plus $13.90 shipping.
Four bottles of energize Greens costs $199.80 plus $19.95 shipping.

I called to see how much the product cost and asked plenty of questions even stating that it doesn’t say whether or not the product is Non GMO. I told the Lady that their pricing was ridiculously high and so was their shipping.I told her I was voting with my pocket book and voted NO on their product. Then I took to the Web and found this site. I figured it was a scam. I asked about their product called “Energize Reds” she said it was no longer available making it sound like it was temporarily out of stock, but when asking further questions she said it isn’t available in the US at all anymore because of not being able to get some ingredient “Red Flag”. Listen to your instincts.
