Shred Her is a Fat Burner supplement aimed specifically at women, and according to the advertising is designed to promote rapid weight loss. The idea is that you take Shred Her before your workout in order to achieve your fitness goals. Does it work? And more importantly, is it safe? We find out.

NLA for Her is a brand of weight loss and fitness supplements specifically for women. The company was founded in 2013 by two men called Justin Matoesian and Kevin Gundersen, who spotted this female sized gap in the supplements market. They were later joined by a female fitness pro, Jessie Hilgenberg, who is the face of the company.

What You Need To Know About NLA for Her Shred Her

Shred Her is a fat burning supplement aimed exclusively at women. It contains a proprietary blend of ingredients which means individual ingredient quantities are unknown, but it is likely to be very high in the stimulants it contains, namely caffeine and synephrine. Shred Her may help increase your energy levels before a workout, but may also cause a range of stimulant side effects too. If you do fancy trying this supplement, we advise you take it very cautiously to enable your body to get used to the effects.

What Are The Side Effects Of NLA for Her Shred Her?

Potential side effects may include; jitteriness, insomnia, headaches, vomiting and nausea, loss of appetite, increased heart rate, changes to fertility levels, palpitations, elevated blood pressure, changes to blood sugar levels, and increased risk of stroke or heart attack.

How Much Does NLA for Her Shred Her Cost?

Shred Her is quite expensive but you can shop around for the price.

Buy from the official NLA for Her website and it costs $34.99 for 60 capsules (1 month’s supply).

It is also on sale from Bodybuilding.com where it costs $27.97 for 60 capsules. This company is also running a special offer that enables you to buy Shred Her with an additional NLA supplement called Her CLA for a 50% price reduction. The company seems to change these offers so it is worth keeping an eye on.

Shred Her is on sale via Amazon, but at the time of writing the only option is to buy 3 x 60 bottles of Shred Her for $119.00.

Our Verdict On NLA for Her Shred Her

Shred Her would be much better if we could all see the full ingredients list and that way we could judge for ourselves just what this supplement might do, especially as the listed stimulant ingredients are likely to cause side effects.

In our opinion we think that Shred Her may work for some people and if you are looking for a stimulant buzz, it will probably live up to the claims. However, there is no real reason why taking stimulants will cause long lasting weight loss. In most cases, effects are short term and often the effects wear off as your body builds up tolerance to use.

Had the full ingredients list been available we may have changed this opinion, but we would never recommend any supplement without knowing exactly what it contains and how much of it, so we do not recommend Shred Her to the Watchdog readers.

NLA for Her Shred Her Review

Shred Her is a thermogenic fat burner aimed solely at women and although it is predominantly a body building supplement, it may be suitable if you just want to lose fat and are exercising and working out to achieve this.

As with all fat burners of this type, the aim is that it will raise energy levels and improve mood, increase the speed of the metabolism – making weight loss easier, and suppress the appetite.

All these effects can be achieved by taking stimulants and Shred Her contains caffeine, guarana as an added source of caffeine, plus Citrus Aurentium which is a natural extract derived from Bitter Orange.

Citrus Aurentium contains a powerful stimulant called synephrine which works in a similar way to amphetamines in that it stimulates the nerves in the body’s nervous system, mimicking the effects of the body’s reaction to stress AKA the flight or fight response.

Bearing in mind stimulants can cause a variety of side effects; it would have been helpful had there been some product information regarding the ingredient quantities. However, this is not disclosed because the full ingredients profile apart from a couple of vitamins is not provided.

Instead, all the ingredients are lumped together in a proprietary blend, so it is impossible to know this strong the stimulant effect is likely to be. One thing is for sure. You should not take Shred Her if you have any health issues relating to heart or blood pressure.

NLA for Her Shred Her Facts

  • Each bottle contains 60 capsules
  • Women only brand
  • Contains stimulants

Other ingredients include a variety of herbal extracts including green tea, green coffee bean, and raspberry ketone. There is also Usolic acid derived from Rosemary and amino acid Taurine. To find out more about the ingredients, click on the ingredients tab. You can also find out about side effects on the side effect tab.

How to Take NLA for Her Shred Her

  • Information not provided but we suggest 1 – 2 capsules a day with water
  • Use before a workout
  • Do not take close to bedtime

NLA for Her provides a range of supplements to deal with all aspects of bodybuilding and fitness, including protein powders and specialised supplements. There is also a snack range, including whey protein snack bars and performance enhancing chews.

Because NLA for Her is a female range, the product colours are black and purple, which is fine but here at the Watchdog we are getting a little bored with all sportswear (and packaging) only being available in these colours. What’s wrong with some red? Or blue or even green? But female sports supplements and clothing never seem to come in any other colours than black and purple, or black and pink.

NLA for Her Shred Her Concerns:

  • Why has this company gone to the bother of creating this supplement without giving us the full ingredients list? What is NLA for Her trying to hide?
  • The principle ingredient could be caffeine
  • This supplement will not be suitable for everyone and the product information should have provided a warning

If you buy direct from the NLA for Her website, all purchases come with a free workout eBook. You can also download a free recipe book of chocolate protein treats by signing up to the NLA for Her website.

NLA for Her are fully engaged with social media using Instagram to show inspirational pictures of beautiful women training, presumably to give the rest of us something to aim at!

What Does NLA for Her Shred Her Claim To Do?

According to the product advertising, Shred Her is an

“All Natural Ultra Concentrated Thermogenic Fat Burner”

The three key features;

  • ELEVATES ENERGY
  • INCREASES FAT LOSS
  • SUPPORTS APPETITE CONTROL

The information explains,

“SHRED HER is our all natural fat burner scientifically formulated and dosed for females designed to rapidly promote fat loss.

It helps you achieve your fitness goals by turning up your body’s natural temperature, helping along with burning fat and keeping you lean. It’s all natural and pretty mellow, making it easy to take consistently and for long periods of time safely.”

This does not make much sense. How can a supplement that “elevates energy“ and increases your body temperature be described as “pretty mellow” in any way at all?

All these effects are mainly going to be caused by the caffeine and synephrine content, and nobody would describe taking stimulants as a mellow experience.

Does NLA for Her Shred Her Work?

Shred Her may work, but we cannot say for sure just what it will do.

With all the ingredients combined in a proprietary blend, it is impossible to know how strong it is and if the various components are in sufficient quantities. Or more seriously, if the stimulants are over strong and likely to cause side effects. This is possible with 1,180mg of ingredients per serving.

Sticking our necks out here, we think the stimulant effect will be the major effect. Caffeine can help weight loss because it can increase the speed of the metabolism, and of course energy levels. The downside is that it can cause side effects, and also that the metabolism boost will wear off as your body becomes accustomed to it.

Synephrine (Citrus Aurentium) works in a different way. It is an Andregenic drug also known as a sympathomimetic substance, and this works in the body by mimicking chemical messengers epinephrine and Norepinephrine – the chemicals that kick in when the body is under stress. This reaction causes effects including loss of appetite, agitation, sweating, and increase heart rate and blood pressure. All these may help you slim, but it is not a safe or healthy way to lose weight.

What Are The Ingredients of NLA for Her Shred Her?

Serving size as provided here is equal to two capsules.

  • Vitamin B6 (10mg): Pyroxidine plays many important roles in the body, especially around the metabolism and the nervous system. B6 helps the body to process fats carbs and proteins, and convert them into energy.
  • Pantothenic Acid (20mg): Vitamin B5 which like B6 is important for health and the metabolism.

Fat Incinerating Matrix (1,180mg):

  • Green tea extract: Green tea is high in antioxidants, especially ECGC (epigallocatechin-3-gallate) and polyphenols and may have weight loss benefits. Research suggests that when combined with added caffeine, as here, these functional ingredients have the potential to produce significant effects on metabolic targets such as thermogenesis, and fat oxidation.” It is not strictly proven but it may help support some weight loss. Source
  • Taurine: Taurine is an amino acid with many functions in the body and is often taken in supplement form. It may improve exercise performance, and it supports the general function of the eyes and central nervous system. Source
  • Caffeine Anhydrous: Same as the caffeine you drink in coffee but here in powdered form. The most widely used stimulant in the world, but we all know the effects of too much caffeine in the system! The recommended daily upper limit of caffeine is 400mg. How much is contained in this supplement? This information is not provided.
  • Citrus Aurentium Extract: This herbal extract contains synephrine, a powerful stimulant that works in a similar way to amphetamines. Often used in weight loss supplements because it affects the nervous system by increasing stress hormones, leading to loss of appetite. However scientific advice is that Sympathomimetic agents like this have a poor history of long-term success in the treatment of obesity. In addition, there are health risks. According to reports, “strokes and cardiac arrhythmias have been the major concern about supplements containing the Sympathomimetic drug, synephrine.” Source
  • Green Coffee bean Extract: Green coffee was touted for weight loss because it contains chlorogenic acid, which some people claimed help prevent glucose from entering the blood stream. Despite hundreds of articles about Green Coffee, an investigation found that all random controlled trials were carried out on very small amounts of people for a very limited time. The safety and the effective dose has never been established. Source
  • Raspberry Ketones: Natural chemical derived from the enzymes found in the fragrance of red raspberries, and which may affect a hormone in the body called Adiponectin. This hormone is important for appetite control and fat burning. Animal testing suggests Raspberry ketone increases metabolism, but it has not been tested on humans.
  • Usolic Acid (from rosemary extract): Usolic Acid is a molecule found in many plants, and in this instance it is the herb rosemary. Preliminary scientific investigation suggests it might help reduce fat accumulation and increase muscle mass gain when you have eaten, and to induce fat burning and preserve muscle mass when you are in a state of fasting. It requires further investigation but looks a very promising weight loss/muscle building ingredient. Source
  • Guarana extract: Brazilian bean that is higher in caffeine than the coffee bean.

  • Headaches
  • Vomiting and nausea
  • Loss of appetite
  • Increased heart rate
  • Changes to fertility levels (Usolic acid)
  • Palpitations
  • Elevated blood pressure levels

Are There Any Customer Reviews For NLA for Her Shred Her?

We found some customer reviews on a bodybuilding website (bodybuilding.com). All reviews are positive, but it is important to point out that Bodybuilding.com are pushing this supplement and have voted it their supplement of the month.

In addition, NLA for Her poster girl pro Jessie Hilgenberg is a member of the Bodybuilding Com team, so it is possible that not all these positive reviews are genuine and that there is some bias going on.

Comments include,

Love this product!

This is the most effective fat burner that I have tried. I follow all of the NLA athletes on instagram and they motivated me to start this, years back. I consistently use this for a month at a time then take 2-3 weeks off so I don’t get used to it. Shred Her has been very effective and gives me the perfect energy boost.

I switched over to Shred Her after using many different fat burners. Shred Her was the first one that didn’t make me all jittery! I love the energy feel it gives me and I feel it is helping me achieve my 2018 goal of losing 10 lbs.

Surprisingly out of 397 reviews, nobody has anything bad to say about Shred Her. We would have expected at least one person to have had some kind of adverse reaction to the stimulants contained in this supplement.

Does NLA for Her Shred Her Offer a Money-Back Guarantee?

There is a 30-day money-back guarantee. Here’s what NLA for Her say about it.

“We are willing to offer a 30 day, full money back guarantee once you receive you order from nlaforher.com or an Authorized retailer.

If for some reason you are dissatisfied with your NLA for Her supplements, or the flavor of our Uplift, Her Aminos, and Her Whey supplements, please contact our Customer Service team up to 30 days after receiving your order to request a return or an exchange.

V800 is a weight loss pill, that according to the advertising is an incredible breakthrough in metabolic science that will hit your problem fatty areas like a freight train. This sounds extreme (and possibly painful), so let’s take a look at V800 to find out more about this supplement.

V800 comes from a company called Nutrakind and is sold mainly via Amazon USA. Nutrakind make a lot of claims about the company’s scientists and research team, yet does not have a website or even a Facebook page. It all looks a bit dodgy, but are we being unfair?

Nutrakind V800 Pros

  • We can think of no good reason to take this supplement

Nutrakind V800 Cons

  • Frankly unbelievable product description
  • Inadequate ingredients profile
  • Will not work in the way as described
  • High level of feedback left by customers who have been bribed with a free bottle

What You Need To Know About Nutrakind V800

V800 is described as a fat burner supplement, but apart from the caffeine content we cannot see why. The supplement contains small amounts of some well known ingredients but there is nothing here that makes it a thermogenic supplement as claimed, and it definitely will not work as described. V800 is on sale mainly via Amazon, where customers have left glowing feedback after being bribed with a second free bottle. This means, if you are thinking of buying this supplement based on customer reviews, don’t do it because it is not going to live up to your expectations.

What Are The Side Effects Of Nutrakind V800?

Side effects may include; bloating, insomnia, chest pains, abdominal pains, dizziness, diarrhoea, bad mood, jitteriness, elevated blood pressure, tachycardia, headaches, anxiety, skin rash, fatigue, and allergic reaction.

How Much Does Nutrakind V800 Cost?

V800 is on sale from Amazon USA and is not expensive. However it still looks like a total waste of money, even if you do write a five star review and get a second bottle for free.

1 bottle of 60 capsules (60 days supply) costs $29.98.

You can also find V800 on sale via eBay where it costs around $40.00 from various sellers. Perhaps some of these are the people who got a free bottle for writing a false positive review and are now trying to make some extra cash?

Our Verdict On Nutrakind V800

We find it very disappointing that so many people are prepared to write a false review of a product in the hope of getting a freebie, because creating false impression just tricks others into buying. This is exactly what is going on here with V800, and we wish that Amazon would finally clamp down on incentivized reviews as they have promised.

V800 is a pretty duff looking supplement. It is not a fat burner as claimed and although it contains some well known weight loss ingredients, none of these are in adequate quantities to work. Nutrakind claim to have spent the last 10 years locked in a room with athletes and biochemists creating this nonsense and if this was true, all we can say is that it was a complete waste of time all round.

Overall, we would never recommend such an inferior supplement to the Watchdog readers.

Nutrakind V800 Review

Nutrakind V800 is a weight loss supplement that is marketed as a fat burner and thermogenic (which is the same thing). According to the product advertising it packs a punch, as well as hits your fatty areas like a freight train so the message here is that this supplement is strong, possibly a little bit dangerous but effective.

Nutrakind V800 Facts

  • Each bottle contains 60 capsules
  • Comes from a shadowy company nobody has ever heard of, called Nutrakind
  • According to product information, V800 was 10 years in development
  • No explanation about why this supplement is called V800

Fat burners work in various ways. They often contain stimulants to enhance energy and metabolism, so that you burn off stored fat faster than you would otherwise. Some increase body heat for added calorie loss, some contain antioxidant rich ingredients or herbal extracts. But the basic idea is that your metabolism is increased to make weight loss easier.

How to Take Nutrakind V800

  • Take one capsule every day 30 minutes before a meal
  • Take with a glass of water

V800 contains some well known herbal ingredients such as Hoodia and African Mango Seed, not actually fat burners, but the bulk of the ingredients come under a proprietary blend.

This means that although the ingredients are named such as caffeine, raspberry ketone, CLA, and Turmeric, the individual ingredient quantities are not disclosed so it is impossible to assess just how strong each component is. Our guess is not very strong at all because with this proprietary blend adding up to just 265mg per serving shared out between 11 named ingredients, we can’t see that anything is really going to add up to very much at all.

Despite this, Nutrakind V800 looks popular with customers. Most feedback is positive, although we suspect that some of this may be not quite as genuine and impartial as it first appears.

Nutrakind V800 Concerns:

  • Although ingredient quantities are low, this supplement may cause side effects
  • Why is Amazon still allowing this practice of incentivised reviews to continue?
  • Why haven’t Nutrakind got a product website or even a Facebook page? What is this company really trying to hide?

Nutrakind lacks any real presence online such as a product website, or even a Facebook or Instagram page. V800 appears to be the sole product, and this is sold only via Amazon USA and eBay.

What Does Nutrakind V800 Claim To Do?

Most of the advertising for V800 is farfetched.

According to the product description, V800 has been a long time in development.

“The V800 Thermogenic Diet Pill spent over a decade under lock and key as it was being developed by our elite professional athletes, biochemical engineers, and personal trainers.”

Really? A so-called elite team spend 10 years working on this supplement and this was the best they could come up with? And they couldn’t manage to even design a product website in all this time?

It continues,

“You’ve listened to the marketing hype of other products, now try one that actually works. V800 will hit your fat and problem areas like a freight train.”

How will this work exactly? Surely after 10 years in development with all those athletes biomedical engineers and personal trainers involved, one of them could have explained how it worked.

“You can be fitness professional, trainer, or just an average person to enjoy the benefits. Our product will astonish and exceed the desires of the most discriminating athlete. Our products are pure, and we never use additives or unnecessary junk in our formulas.”

We are pleased to hear that we are all going to enjoy the benefits of this supplement, but we also would have loved to have known more about the other Nutrakind products and formulas. If only there had been a product website… but of course Nutrakind lacks this most basic of information.

Does Nutrakind V800 Work?

No. There is no way that V800 is a quality supplement or that it will work in the way as described. It does not even contain many so-called fat burner ingredients.

V800 contains four named ingredients. All are in low quantities and are unlikely to do anything at all. Of the four, only African Mango seed has any supporting evidence and this is not as a fat burner, but as a way to cause feelings of satiety and to have a positive effect upon blood sugar levels. All the clinical trials looking into African Mango seeds (Irvingia Gabonesis) used fresh seeds, but in general supplements contain at least 150mg per serving, rather than the 40mg contained here.

The other three ingredients are ineffective. Hoodia has been disproven and even worse known to cause side effects although with just 15mg per serving, these may not be an issue. Guarana is a source of caffeine, and at 15mg may give you the equivalent effect of a couple of sips of coffee (there is approximately 100mg of caffeine per average cup) and cayenne pepper at 10mg is equally underpowered. The evidence for cayenne as a fat burner is pretty flimsy anyway, but it certainly will not do anything it all in such low qualities.

This leads us to the proprietary blend of ingredients. Surely that will do something? Sadly this is equally unlikely. With just 265mg shared out between 11 ingredients, many of which need to be in fairly large quantities to work, this formula looks to be totally ineffective.

What Are The Ingredients of Nutrakind V800?

Serving size is equal to one capsule.

  • African Mango (Irvingia Gabonesis) (40mg): African mango seeds may be effective for supporting weight loss and a couple of clinical tests carried out in Senegal displayed positive benefits including a reduction in waist size, hip size, and blood lipid levels. However this fibrous material needs to be in adequate quantities to work, and most supplements contain at least 150mg per serving, in many cases more.
  • Hoodia (15mg): A few years ago Hoodia Gordonii, a cactus extract was touted as a miracle in weight loss. It was supposed to contain a molecule that signalled your brain that you were not hungry. However, it was quickly disproven once it was clinically tested by major research companies like Unilever and Pfizer who were considering using it in products. Can cause side effects. Source
  • Guarana (15mg): South American bean that contains higher levels of caffeine than the coffee bean.
  • Cayenne Pepper (10mg): Chilli peppers create a hot sensation, and may help the body burn off additional calories for around half an hour after taking. However it does not seem to work as well in supplement form, and can cause side effects such as heartburn.

Proprietary Blend (265mg): The individual quantities will be extremely low, so information here does not reflect whether the ingredients will have any effect whatsoever in this supplement.

  • Caffeine Anhydrous: Same as caffeine in coffee, but here in powdered form which is more suitable for supplements. The average cup of coffee contains around 100mg.
  • Garcinia Cambogia: Fruit extract which is high in a substance called hydroxycitric acid, which is supposed to block fat and improve mood.
  • Raspberry Ketones: Another much touted ingredient. Raspberry ketones are derived from the phenol in the fruit that contains the smell. Requires further research.
  • Green Coffee bean extract: Same as the coffee you drink, but here in raw and unroasted form. Green coffee contains chlorogenic acid which is supposed to burn fat, but comes with no evidence at all that it does.
  • Conjugated Linoleic Acid: CLA is the name for linoleic acids found in dairy products. Some evidence shows that CLA is a natural protein based fat burner, in that it can increase the speed of the metabolism without stimulants. Often used by bodybuilders.
  • 5HTP: This compound in present in the body where it is converted from an amino acid called tryptophan into serotonin, the brain’s feel good chemical. 5 HTP is derived from a plant extract called Griffonia, and may work if taken in sufficient quantities.
  • Turmeric: Most supplements contain turmeric these days. This Indian cooking spice may have numerous antioxidant benefits.
  • White Kidney Bean Extract: Bean extract can be very efficient as a way to reduce appetite and hunger pangs if taken in sufficient quantities, because the fibre stays in your stomach making you feel fuller and it keeps blood sugar levels stable to. The usual serving size is around 445mg taken three times a day.
  • Rhodiola Rosea: Many people take Rhodiola rosea because this herbal extract is an Adaptogen, meaning that it can cause feelings of general wellbeing including a rise in serotonin levels and a decrease in stress hormone cortisol. Although it requires further testing, anecdotally it is supposed to work. Most Rhodiola supplements contain around 500mg per serving.
  • Apple Cider Vinegar: Much loved traditional medicinal ingredient, and taken for everything from rheumatism to a sore throat. According to some research apple cider vinegar may help lower blood sugar levels, lower cholesterol, and improve heart disease, but you would definitely get more benefits by adding cider vinegar to your diet rather than taking this supplement
  • Papaya leaf extract: Contains a chemical called Papain which may have some effect upon the digestive system.
  • L Arginine: Amino acid present in the body where it can help relax arteries and improve blood flow.

Does Nutrakind V800 Have Any Side Effects?

Although the individual ingredient quantities are low, V800 may cause side effects in some users and a few customers have mentioned these.

Reported side effects include;

  • Bloating
  • Insomnia
  • Chest pains
  • Abdominal pains
  • Dizziness
  • Diarrhoea
  • Bad mood

Other side effects could include;

  • Jitteriness
  • Elevated blood pressure
  • Tachycardia
  • Headaches
  • Anxiety
  • Skin rash
  • Fatigue
  • Allergic reaction

Caution:
Not suitable for individuals under 18. Avoid if you are pregnant or breast feeding. Speak to your doctor first if you have an underlying medical condition or are taking prescription medication as this supplement could cause interactions.

Are There Any Customer Reviews For Nutrakind V800?

One of the most noticeable points about V800 is the high level of positive feedback and five star reviews it has attracted on Amazon. This looks good at first glance because we do all tend to believe what other people say about a product.

However, things here are not what they seem. This customer reported the reason for the high quantity of five star reviews,

So this is how their marketing works: They ask you to review and give 5 stars for their product in order to get a second bottle for free. I gave them 5 stars and kept taking the pills for about 2 weeks but I didn’t lose any weight I GAINED 4 POUNDS IN 2 WEEKS. The pills make me feel bad. They are just like the caffeine boost pills

Interestingly this customer did give a five star review in order to obtain a free bottle and is now complaining that the feedback is fixed, even though he willingly participated in it.

Most reviews are positive but how can we believe them when the reviewers have been bribed with a freebie? Writing a false review only tricks other people into buying and many only bought this supplement because there were so many positive reviews, such as this reviewer.

I took these to lose weight and give me energy. They did neither. Very disappointed because the product had such positive reviews.

Positive comments include,

The best part about this is the weight loss. I really can’t say anything bad.

Not everyone is as easily bought off,

Not very happy with my results. I have lost 5 lbs in one month but it is definitely not from taking these pills. I have changed my entire diet and have been going to the gym 4 times a week. Plus to receive an extra bottle the company makes you write a positive review (how pathetic).

Many customers have noticed no effects at all, such as this reviewer,

Doesn’t work at all. I took faithfully for 45 days and I didn’t lose a pound. No extra energy, nothing

Many have noticed side effects, such as this user,

Made me feel sick

Does Nutrakind V800 Offer a Money-Back Guarantee?

According to the advertising there is a 30-day money-back guarantee; for any reason. However we think it is more likely that you will be offered a free bottle and told to give the supplement a little more time to work.

Where Can I Buy Nutrakind V800?

V800 is on sale via Amazon USA. We have also seen it advertised on eBay.

So many weight loss supplements are now available in the market and they all claim to have the finest ingredients to melt away fat. Unfortunately, not all of them are going to prove effective; in fact, most of them are not going to help you lose a single pound.

Many supplement manufacturers use a combination of ingredients and promise dramatic weight loss by suppressing appetite, trapping fat, boosting metabolism, or blocking carbs. The problem is that studies do not support the use of those supplements; in fact, it is found that those supplements may work no better than placebo pills.

For instance, the following study was presented in Stockholm at the International Congress on Obesity:

  • Researchers in Germany tested nine such products against placebo pills in one of the most extensive trials of weight loss supplements ever conducted. They found that the supplements were no more effective than the dummy pills for promoting weight loss during the eight-week study. The investigators say the findings show the importance of subjecting supplements marketed for weight loss to rigorous scientific research to determine if they have any benefit.

When there is nothing available to judge the efficacy of certain supplements, it is natural to end up putting your money on something that is ineffective. However, you can save yourself from wasting your hard-earned money by paying attention to the ingredient profile of a supplement. If it contains the following ingredients, you will be better off staying away from it because these ingredients make no difference to your weight.

Beta-Glucans

Found in yeast, bacteria, barley, oats, and fungi, these soluble fibers are found in many top supplements today. Like other dietary fibers, they are supposed to help with weight loss by slowing down the time your body needs to digest food. When it stays longer in your stomach, you experience a feeling of fullness that prevents overeating. Unfortunately, it does not work in reality and has no effect on body weight.

Safety: Beta-glucans are considered safe even when you take up to 10g a day, but you should not continue for more than 12 weeks. The use of beta-glucans may cause flatulence though.

Bitter Orange

It is supposed to help you lose weight because it contains a stimulant called synephrine. Using it regularly is supposed to increase fat breakdown, burn calories, and decrease appetite at the same time. Unfortunately, it offers no results when used in isolation, but it may offer some benefits when used with other ingredients, such as caffeine. No study is there to confirm that supplementing with bitter orange alone will support weight loss.

Safety: A number of safety concerns are associated with the use of bitter orange, and some of the most common side effects include anxiety, chest pain, bone pain, headache, muscle pain, and higher blood pressure.

Calcium

Found in many weight loss supplements, the primary function of calcium is to support muscles, bones, and blood vessels. Some supplement manufacturers claim that calcium decreases fat absorption and also increases fat loss. Unfortunately, there is no scientific evidence suggesting that calcium supports weight loss or prevents weight gain.

Safety: It is usually safe to take up to 1,000mg of calcium a day, but taking too much of it can cause constipation. Regular consumption may also affect your body’s ability to absorb zinc and iron. Calcium supplements are also likely to increase your risk of kidney stones.

Capsaicin

The hot taste of chili peppers comes from capsaicin, and many supplement manufacturers claim that it increases your body temperature and helps burn fat. Unfortunately, it is also among those ingredients in your supplements that make no difference to your weight. Not many studies have been performed to check its beneficial effects, which is another reason why capsaicin is useless.

Safety: You may take up to 33mg of capsaicin a day for 4 weeks without experiencing any side effects, but prolonged use can cause nausea, stomach pain, burning sensations, and bloating.

Chitosan

Obtained from the shells of shrimp, crabs, and lobsters, chitosan claims to help with weight loss by binding fat in your digestive tract. In other words, it reduces the absorption of fat in the body. Studies show that chitosan is mostly ineffective, and even when it works, it binds a little amount of fat, causing no serious weight loss after prolonged use.

Safety: You can take up to 15g a day for 6 months safely, but taking it longer than this can cause bloating, flatulence, constipation, nausea, heartburn, and indigestion. People who are allergic to shellfish may develop an allergic reaction after taking chitosan supplements.

Coleus Forskohlii

Native to Thailand, India, and subtropical areas, the plant extract is supposed to work by suppressing your appetite. It is also supposed to increase the breakdown of fat. Not many studies have observed the positive benefits of coleus forskohlii.

Safety: You can safely take up to 500mg a day for 12 weeks. It may cause loose stools and frequent bowel movements in some people. Because of the lack of studies and evidence, it is not known how safe it is. Therefore, it is better to avoid its use.

Fucoxanthin

Obtained from brown seaweed, fucoxanthin is supposed to help by burning additional calories. The ingredient has not been studied enough, so it is not possible to confirm if it is going to prove effective or not. Even animal studies have not shown promising results.

Safety: It is considered safe when taken up to 2.4mg a day for 16 weeks, but not much is known about its safety because of very little research done on it.

Guar Gum

Often found in weight loss supplements, guar gum is essentially a dietary fiber, known for helping with weight loss by suppressing appetite. It promotes a feeling of fullness and helps you eat less. Studies show that guar gum has no role to play in weight loss.

Safety: You can safely take up to 30g a day for 6 months, but you should not go overboard because too much of it can cause flatulence, abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, and cramps.

Probiotics

Many probiotic strains are available in weight loss supplements that are supposed to improve your immune system and support digestion at the same time. Unfortunately, not much evidence is there to support the use of probiotics for weight loss.

Safety: It is usually safe to take probiotics, but some people may develop bloating, gas, and other gastrointestinal problems.

Raspberry Ketone

Obtained from red raspberries, raspberry ketone is supposed to trigger fat loss and help you lose weight more effectively. Is there enough scientific evidence to support its use? The answer is no.

Safety: The ingredient has not been studied well to tell anything about its safety concerns.

Some Ingredients That May Make Some Difference To Your Weight

Some Ingredients That May Make Some Difference To Your WeightAs you can see, there is a long list of ingredients that are commonly found in weight loss supplements but are not effective at all. Most of them are not going to help you lose a single pound, and these supplements may work no better than placebo pills.

However, some weight loss ingredients may work for some people and promote weight loss to a certain extent.

Here are some ingredients that may prove effective, and might be worth investing in. Keep in mind that these could still have various side effects, so it is best to check with a doctor first if you are already taking other medication.

African Mango

It is supposed to work by inhibiting the formation of fat tissue. Studies have found that even though the use of African mango is not going to make a huge difference to your weight, its regular use may show some effects.

Safety: It is generally considered safe to use African mango on a short-term basis, but some people may develop insomnia, headache, and flatulence.

Caffeine

Known as the most popular stimulant, caffeine is supposed to help with weight loss in many different ways. It stimulates your central nervous system and reduces fatigue, which in turn will make it possible to work with more intensity in the gym. It is supposed to help by promoting thermogenesis – it increases your core body temperature to help you burn additional calories. It is also supposed to increase your metabolism, which helps you burn calories even when you are at rest. Studies show that it might help you lose some weight over time. Even though the effects are not that prominent, it still works better than many other weight loss ingredients.

Safety: Most people can safely take up to 400mg of caffeine a day, but how your body metabolizes caffeine will determine the severity of the side effects. You may develop problems like vomiting, nausea, seizures, insomnia, and rapid heartbeat.

Carnitine

Found in fish, meat, milk, poultry, and dairy products, you do not really need to take a supplement to increase your intake of carnitine. However, some studies have found that supplementing with carnitine may accelerate the breakdown of fats. Again, the effects of carnitine are not that significant, you may still experience some reduction in weight over time.

Safety: Studies show that you can safely take up to 2g of carnitine a day for as long as 12 months. Some people may develop problems like diarrhea, vomiting, fishy body odor, and abdominal cramps.

Green Coffee Bean Extract

Another common ingredient in weight loss supplements is green coffee bean extract, which is obtained from unroasted coffee beans. It is supposed to reduce fat accumulation to promote weight loss. At the same time, it converts blood sugar into energy and makes it possible for you to handle strenuous workouts with more authority and ease. Studies have confirmed that supplementing with green coffee bean extract may help you lose a small amount of fat.

Safety: You can safely take up to 200mg of green coffee bean extract a day. Some people might develop problems like headache, insomnia, urinary tract infection, and increased heart rate.

Glucomannan

Dietary fibers have their special place in the world of weight loss supplements, but if you really want to take a dietary fiber, you should put your money on glucomannan. It is more likely to help with weight loss because it is the most viscous fiber available today. It swells up quickly after reaching your gut, which in turn keeps you from eating additional calories. Studies show that it might help a little with weight loss, but it surely goes a long way in reducing blood cholesterol levels.

Safety: Most people can safely take up to 15.1g of glucomannan a day for many weeks. Some people may develop problems like flatulence, loose stools, constipation, diarrhea, and abdominal discomfort. However studies have shown that 2-4g is the optimum amount for weight loss.

How Harmful Weight Loss Supplements Can Be?

Like all dietary supplements, weight loss supplements can cause several negative effects depending on the ingredients they contain. You need to bear in mind that ingredients like bitter orange, beta-glucans, chitosan, and fucoxanthin may do nothing to help you lose weight but they may interact with other drugs you might be taking. Many other ingredients can interact with OTC and prescription medications. From constipation, diarrhea, heartburn, and dizziness to stomach pain, dry mouth, increased lipase, type-2 diabetes, restlessness, and nervousness, weight loss supplements can cause all sorts of side effects. Long-term use may also lead to withdrawal symptoms. That is why it is important to talk to your doctor if you are taking some medication and want to take some weight loss supplements as well.

You should also bear in mind that there is no magic pill to help you lose pounds overnight. Many fraudulent and adulterated products may make big claims, but you should not fall prey to those marketing gimmicks. Weight loss is a gradual process and a combination of several factors. Taking a single supplement and doing nothing to make changes to your lifestyle is not going to make any difference to your weight no matter how ‘powerful’ your supplement is. Understand that weight loss supplements can cost you a lot and are going to produce little to no results. You should first develop a healthy eating plan and follow it religiously to help limit your intake of calories. Choose a right exercise plan and stay active. Once you have done everything else, you may want to include a weight loss supplement in your routine to support your weight loss efforts.

One of the main fears that smokers have for giving up cigarettes is that quitting will lead to an increase in weight. Nutrovape takes this idea and removes the nicotine and harmful elements, replacing them with weight loss ingredients so you can carry on vaping and lose weight at the same time.

Yes that’s right; you can lose weight by smoking. The company boasts their products are alcohol-free, gluten-free, sugar-free, and contain absolutely NO NICOTINE. We strike a light on this vaping product to see if it is a genuine diet aid, or just a pipe dream likely to go up in a puff of smoke.

Nutrovape Diet Pros

  • Easy to carry around
  • People report liking the taste especially those who already smoke
  • Ingredients may enter the blood stream quickly

Nutrovape Diet Cons

  • Each Vape has a 1 time use only
  • Ingredients have been discredited and/or unproven
  • Might encourage people into cigarette smoking

What You Need To Know About Nutrovape Diet

Nutrovape Diet is an e-cigarette/vaping stick that is a way of inhaling diet and appetite suppressants quickly into the bloodstream. The ingredients are made into essential oils and heated in the e-cigarette to the correct temperature and then inhaled. Nutrovape Diet does not contain nicotine, but it lacks any real evidence that the weight loss ingredients will really be as effective as claimed. If you are a smoker who has managed to quit, you may find this supplement leads you back into the habit.

What Are The Side Effects Of Nutrovape Diet?

Side effects may include; nausea, vomiting, skin disturbances such as itchiness and rashes, digestive tract discomfort, and headaches. There is no information available of the likely effects of inhaling these substances.

How Much Does Nutrovape Diet Cost?

Price-wise there is not much to compare with Nutrovape Diet, because of the lack of competition of vaping supplements on the market.

Buy from the Nutrovape website and a single pack (1 vaping stick) costs $9.99 (£7.11 for UK customers).

A pack of 3 will cost $25.99 (£18.45) and a 6 pack will cost $49.99 (£35.50) giving you 6 Nutrovape sticks for the price of 5.

You are encouraged to join the Nutrovape Auto Ship program for a 10% discount on orders. This is where the company will send you fresh packs every 15, 30, or 60 days, and charge your bank or credit card automatically.

We don’t recommend this option as we have found that auto ship agreements can be extremely easy to sign up to, but very hard to cancel.

Nutrovape ship abroad so is available direct to customers outside the USA. Shipping is calculated at the point of sale.

Nutrovape Diet is also on sale via Amazon USA for the same price but is only available to US customers.

Our Verdict On Nutrovape Diet

Nutrovape Diet is weight loss method that offers a gluten and nicotine free way to inhale diet pill ingredients, rather than taking them in pill form. However we cannot see it really doing much. Two of the ingredients namely Garcinia Cambogia and Hoodia Gordonii are largely unproven for weight loss and although Green tea and its byproduct L-Theanine have dietary benefits, there is no information about whether they are suitable for inhalation.

The process of vaping is supposed to make the ingredients enter the bloodstream fast, but there is little backup evidence to show how this works.

Although it is true that nicotine has appetite suppression qualities so it easy to see how vaping other ingredients could thought to be similar, nicotine is not included in this product and of course for good reason.

We therefore have to conclude that Nutrovape diet is a novelty way of taking a weight loss supplement, and unless you are already a smoker we cannot see the attraction.

All things considered, we do not recommend Nutrovape Diet to the Watchdog readers.

Nutrovape Diet Review

Nutrovape provide a variety of e-cigarette based solutions including Nutrovape Diet which will helps you resist that cheat meal a little bit longer! You just take 5 puffs before a meal and your appetite is controlled, allowing you to resist the food calories placed before you.

Nutrovape Diet Facts

  • Pack contains 1 Nutrovape diet e-cigarette/vaping stick
  • Battery is included
  • Contains NO nicotine and is gluten free and suitable for vegans

The Nutrovape Diet looks just like an e-cigarette when you ignite it using the provided battery. It works by heating the oils contained in it, and a green light on the end of the e-cigarette shows you that it is working and the Vape hasn’t run out. For smokers there is the satisfying glow of the light when you inhale, but Nutrovape are keen to point out that the product is not an e-cigarette because it contains no nicotine.

How to Take Nutrovape Diet

  • Take 5 inhalations with a glass of water 15 minutes before a meal
  • Do not exceed 20 inhalations in a single hour

Nutrovape Diet contains some well known diet pill ingredients in an oil form, designed to work when heated and vaped at a precise temperature. Ingredients are Hoodia Gordonii, Garcinia Cambogia, Green Tea Extract, and L-Theanine that suppresses your appetite and reduces cravings for sugars and carbs. Check out the ingredients tab to find out more.

Nutrovape Diet Concerns:

  • No good evidence that diet vaping works – may be more of a placebo effect likely to appeal to those who already smoke
  • Concerns that vaping might encourage people into cigarette smoking
  • There may also be a problem with disposing of the used Vape sticks as each one contains a lithium battery

How long each Vape stick will last will vary, depending on usage and of course the amount you inhale, but if used accordingly, a Nutrovape should last you 1-3 weeks. However, if you are using your Nutrovape sporadically the manufacturers claim a Nutrovape can last from 40-60 days.

It would seem likely that you are more likely to try this product if you are already a smoker, and are used to the idea that smoking can suppress the appetite for a short time.

What Does Nutrovape Diet Claim To Do?

According to the product advertising, Nutrovape Diet, “Helps you resist that cheat meal a little bit longer.”

It contains a “Natural blend of Hoodia Gordonii, Garcinia Cambogia, Green Tea Extract, and L-Theanine to suppress your appetite and reduces cravings for sugars and carbs.”

According to the product information the liquids are made in the USA and conform to FDA regulations.

The Nutrovape range is based on the idea that vaping enters the bloodstream very quickly and does not have any extra ingredients that the body has to process and remove.

Does Nutrovape Diet Work?

Although effort has been made to market this product, you might still be asking yourself “Why not just take a pill because surely they contain no extra calories and are just as portable?”. Well, we would have to agree and cannot see why this is any better.

If you already like smoking you might like this product. That said, there is no evidence that it will work as described. Hoodia has been found to be ineffective for weight loss and there is not a lot to prove that Garcinia Cambogia works, however you take it.

Green tea and L theanine, an amino acid present in green tea can be useful for weight loss, but there has been no clinical testing to see whether or not it is effective when inhaled.

That said, many people do use e-cigarettes as a method of weight loss. Nicotine is well known as an appetite suppressant after all.

A study carried out in 2017 into vaping habits found that some adult e-cigarette smokers reported vaping helped weight loss control. The participants reported vaping between 21 to 40 minutes per day on average.

These adults were heavier vapers, overweight, and reported restricting calories. They also reported they had little control over impulses, and preferred coffee or vanilla flavored e-cigarettes.

However nicotine is a known appetite suppressant, so herbal ingredients without this vital component may not work in the same way.

What Are The Ingredients of Nutrovape Diet?

  • Hoodia Gordonii: Hoodia was a so called wonder plant a few years back. This cactus extract was supposed to reduce hunger pangs, and at one time there were thousands of Hoodia supplements on the market. Hoodia had an interesting back-story featuring tribesmen of the Kalahari and a secret molecule, but the weight loss claims were quickly disproven. It has since been banned in the UK and Europe. Source
  • Garcinia Cambogia: Although this ingredient has been widely touted for weight loss, there is very little evidence that it will live up to the claims that people make about this fruit extract. The Journal of Obesity Meta overview concluded that it might have some effect upon weight loss by working in the way as described but that the real effect was so small it was hard to prove one way or another.
  • Green Tea: We love green tea! It can be effective for weight and health, thanks to the high levels of antioxidants it contains. Some research has found that green tea can affect the speed of the metabolism causing fat burning.
  • L-Theanine: Is an Amino acid present in tea and the part that causes the energizing yet relaxing effects of tea.

Does Nutrovape Diet Have Any Side Effects?

Garcinia Cambogia and Hoodia Gordonii can cause side effects when used in powdered form. The good news is that customers have not mentioned side effects from using Nutrovape Diet.

However potential side effects may include;

  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Skin disturbances such as itchiness and rashes
  • Digestive tract discomfort
  • Headaches

In addition, if you are an ex-smoker or ex-nicotine vaper you could find that Nutrovape Diet could cause you to restart your old habit.

Caution:
Not suitable for individuals under 18. Avoid if you are pregnant or breast feeding. Not suitable for people with respiratory illnesses. Speak to your doctor before use if you have any underlying medical conditions or are taking prescription medication

Are There Any Customer Reviews For Nutrovape Diet?

There are customer reviews for Nutrovape Diet. We took a look at the feedback posted on Amazon and found that although some customers quite liked this product, nobody was overwhelmingly positive. Many people found that the Nutrovape did not last as long as expected.

It has a vanilla minty taste. It’s very short, not long like other vapes. Your cravings for sweets will go away. I will purchase it again.

Got it on Saturday, today is Monday and it already went out. Did not see a difference as far as the dieting aspect

Loved this… until it died after 36 hours. Curbed my appetite; satisfied my finger-to-mouth need but died after a day and a half. I’m so sad because I just ordered a bunch more from the company.

Stopped working after about 6 puffs. Don’t buy it.

I like the most about Nutrovape diet is it does curb my appetite and the taste is fine. The least about it, it makes your mouth dry.

This customer experienced side effects

Makes my sinuses burn and give me a headache.

Does Nutrovape Diet Offer a Money-Back Guarantee?

No. There is no guarantee on offer, just a returns policy.

Nutrovape will offer returns on unused and unpacked Nutrovape Diet by giving you your money back. But you must return them within 21 days by sending the product back to the company and giving your reasons for the return.

The product page on Amazon states there is a 60-day money-back guarantee, however numerous customer reviews mention they do not abide by their own statement and claim the purchase as “nonrefundable”.

Where Can I Buy Nutrovape Diet?

You can buy Nutrovape direct from the official Nutrovape website which is open to worldwide customers.

US customers can also buy Nutrovape Diet via Amazon USA.

Electrolytes are vitally important for our bodies to function well, yet they can easily be overlooked when rehydrating throughout a hard day’s work or following intense exercise. Whilst the majority of people can easily replenish their electrolyte levels through dietary sources, some people (especially athletes) could benefit from taking an electrolyte-replenishing supplement as well.

Below we take an in-depth look at Vali Electrolyte Salts, to see what benefits this supplement offers consumers.

Vali Electrolyte Salts Pros

  • 100% money back guarantee
  • Capsule means no salty tasting water and added convenience
  • Overwhelmingly positive reviews

Vali Electrolyte Salts Cons

Vali Electrolyte Salts

What You Need To Know About Vali Electrolyte Salts

Vali Electrolyte Salts are intended to help replenish electrolyte levels; electrolytes include sodium, chloride, potassium, and magnesium. These are all washed out of the body through sweat and urine, and are usually replenished through natural dietary intake. Vali Electrolyte Salts are intended to replenish electrolytes when losses are particularly high, typically from increased sweating from intense exercise.

What Are The Side Effects Of Vali Electrolyte Salts?

If taken properly, there should be no side effects from taking Vali Electrolyte Salts. One reviewer noted that when taking the product his sweat was much saltier, to the point where it stung his eyes.

How Much Does Vali Electrolyte Salts Cost?

Vali Electrolyte Salts can be purchased from Amazon, where a single bottle costs $19.99, plus delivery charges. Each bottle contains 120 vegetarian capsules and consumers are instructed to take up to 10 capsules per day, as needed.

Our Verdict On Vali Electrolyte Salts

Vali Electrolyte Salts are an interesting supplement, as they are composed purely of carefully selected minerals and vitamin D3. If taken responsibly then they are unlikely to cause side effects. The real issue is deciding whether or not you actually need to take an electrolyte supplement; most casual exercisers do not need to take electrolyte supplements, but athletes and those with jobs involving lots of heavy labour could benefit from this type of supplement. This product should not be combined with any other electrolyte supplements or rehydration drinks such as Lucozade or Gatorade.

Whilst Vali Electrolyte Salts might be a good alternative to other electrolyte supplements if the consumer does not like the salty taste of other supplements that dissolve in water. However, it is very important to ensure that you are drinking enough water with this supplement, as water is lost through sweating as well as electrolytes.

Vali Electrolyte Salts is covered by a “100% money back guarantee”, according to the Amazon sales page although they do not state how long this is valid for after purchase.

Overall, we do recommend Vali Electrolyte Salts to our readers, but only if they realistically need to take an electrolyte supplement.

Vali Electrolyte Salts Review

Vali Electrolyte Salts are intended to help replenish electrolyte levels; electrolytes include sodium, chloride, potassium, and magnesium. These are all washed out of the body through sweat and urine, and are usually replenished through natural dietary intake. Vali Electrolyte Salts are intended to replenish electrolytes when losses are particularly high, typically from increased sweating from intense exercise. Exercising in hot weather may also increase the need for an electrolyte supplement.

Vali Electrolyte Salts Facts

  • Manufactured by Vali
  • 120 capsules per bottle
  • Suitable for vegetarians

Supplements such as this may also be useful whilst ill with vomiting and diarrhoea, as these also deplete electrolyte levels quickly; they are typically available from pharmacies and supermarkets at very affordable prices.

Generally medical advice states that taking an electrolyte supplement is unnecessary if exercising for less than an hour, especially if it is climate controlled conditions (like an air-conditioned gym). However, if you sweat a lot, or have salty residue on your skin after your sweat dries, it is more likely that you need to replenish your electrolyte levels.

How to Take Vali Electrolyte Salts

Directions for use are as follows: To support electrolyte levels take one (1) capsule with at least eight (8) ounces of water every 30-60 minutes as needed. Do not exceed ten (10) capsules in a 24 hour period.

Vali Electrolyte Salts also appears to be popular with people following the Keto diet, to help to prevent what they call Keto Flu (feeling under the weather due to low potassium levels). Keto Flu appears to be common when following the Keto Diet because many of the most common foods that are good sources of potassium are not allowed on the Keto diet.

Vali Electrolyte Salts Concerns:

  • Some customer complaints about pricing compared with similar products

Vali Electrolyte Salts is manufactured by Vali, a company based in the USA. They can be contacted using the information found on their official website, valiup.com.

What Does Vali Electrolyte Salts Claim To Do?

The manufacturers provide the following description of the product’s benefits:

Replenish and Rehydrate your body:

A critical blend of electrolytes that are lost through sweat including Himalayan Pink Salt – which contains 84 trace minerals and elements found in the human body to aid healing.

Avoid dehydration, minimize heat stress, boost performance, and reduce muscle cramping before, during, and after exercise.

No artificial flavors, additives, or preservatives. Zero calories. Free of banned and questionable substances. Gluten free. No soy, Vegetarian, & Non-GMO ingredients. PROUDLY made in the USA in an eco friendly FDA registered facility under GMP guidelines. Every batch is 3rd party tested to ensure quality.

Does Vali Electrolyte Salts Work?

Vali Electrolyte Salts do appear to work to replenish electrolyte levels. Customers are generally very happy with the supplement, and it is dosed in a way that means that it can be supplemented throughout the day if needed (for situations such as a full day of manual labour outside during the summer), or just once (following focused intense exercise).

It is also important to remember that electrolyte levels can be replenished by eating food as well. A peanut butter and banana smoothie is a good example of a post-exercise snack that contains a wide range of electrolytes.

What Are The Ingredients of Vali Electrolyte Salts?

The ingredients found in Vali Electrolyte Salts are detailed below. Ingredient quantities listed are per single capsule, and consumers can take up to 10 capsules in any 24 hour period; this dosing information explains why the amounts found in each capsule are so low.

  • Electrolytes: Electrolytes including calcium, magnesium, sodium, chloride, and potassium are needed by the body for a myriad of functions, but are water soluble, meaning that they can be flushed out of the body in urine, sweat and even tears. Symptoms of low electrolyte levels include muscle cramps, heart palpitations, headaches, and dizziness.
  • Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) 250 IU (60% RDA)
  • Calcium (Calcium Citrate) 30 mg (4% RDA)
  • Magnesium (Magnesium Citrate) 31 mg (8% RDA)
  • Chloride (Potassium Chloride, Sodium Chloride, Himalayan Pink Salt) 260 mg (8% RDA)
  • Sodium (Sodium Chloride, Himalayan Pink Salt) 112 mg (4% RDA)
  • Potassium (Potassium Chloride) 100 mg (2% RDA)
  • Zinc (Zinc Oxide) 1 mg (6% RDA)

Does Vali Electrolyte Salts Have Any Side Effects?

If taken properly, there should be no side effects from taking Vali Electrolyte Salts. One reviewer noted that when taking the product his sweat was much saltier, to the point where it stung his eyes.

Caution:
Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Not suitable for anyone under the age of 18. Consult your doctor if you are unsure about the suitability of this supplement for you.

Are There Any Customer Reviews For Vali Electrolyte Salts?

There are lots of customer reviews for Vali Electrolyte Salts on the Amazon sales page for the product. The majority of customer reviews are incredibly positive, with only one two-star rating and five three-star ratings at the time of writing this article, with over 80 four or five star reviews.

I cycle 50-70 miles on Saturdays which takes 4-6 hours. I have suffered cramps and dilutional hyponatremia (overly diluted blood sodium levels aka water intoxication) from drinking too much water and diluting the electrolytes in my body. In addition, after my rides I have dried salt all over my face, legs and arms. These pills keep me from cramping and from sweating out all my electrolytes. The best thing about these pills is that they aren’t just sodium and chloride; they also supply calcium, magnesium and potassium.

I was very interested to try this product, especially for when I practice in a heated yoga class. I’ve had some problems with headaches after a hot class, which I thought was due to dehydration. No matter how much water I consumed I would still get a headache. I really don’t care for electrolyte sports drinks and even if I did choke them down, they didn’t really help me out. I’ve had a chance to try these capsules (no taste, no after taste, no effect to my stomach) after two heated classes now….NO headaches!!!!! They give a nice guideline of how many capsules to take and how often based on your workout. They DO advise consuming with water, which I did! They were so easy to use and I’m pleased with the results so far! I’m looking forward to using them with every heated class.

Three stars. Too expensive

So it seems to work, but I don’t like this product as much as other electrolyte pills I’ve had cause it makes your sweat too salty, like burns your eyes. I work outside all day doing physical labor, and I can’t do these cause it makes my sweat burn my eyes. I didn’t not experience the eye burn with a few other pills I’ve tried.

Disclaimer: I received a free product in exchange for an unbiased review.

Please do not be alarmed by the three of five star rating; this is a quality product that is great for rehydration, particularly after intense workouts! As a middle-aged woman who works out and walks, I was pleased to find an easy-to-use product to help with cramping and ensuring my tissues were maintaining fluid. However, I have a few health issues and have to watch water retention. I noticed that when I take these I tend to retain a bit more fluid than usual the next day. Be sure to check with your health practitioner and monitor your water levels when you take it. If you don’t have such issues, give it a try — you will be pleasantly surprised by how good you feel!

I started a keto way of eating and started experiencing serious heart palpitations. Found this product and like magic they are gone! I keep a bottle on my desk at work and one in my purse. I take it about 3 times a day and feel great. Highly recommend.

Pre-workouts are a useful weapon in any athlete’s arsenal. Designed to provide a sharp burst of energy and often packed with performance-boosting amino acids, pre-workouts are a way to ensure that you get the very best out of your workout. Traditionally favoured by larger, male bodybuilders, newer versions of this old formula have recently been coming to the market, including ones that have been specifically designed for women of a smaller build. These female-friendly concoctions tend to be less reliant on extreme stimulants and muscle-building creatine, instead favouring a smoother energy boost and a less-calorific serving size.

Below we take an in-depth look at NLA for Her Uplift, to see whether this female-friendly pre-workout offers the same (or better) benefits than its many male-friendly counterparts.

NLA for Her Uplift Pros

  • Well-liked by customers and appears to work well for most
  • Thorough money-back guarantee covers purchases from 3rd party retailers
  • Product is priced very reasonably

NLA for Her Uplift Cons

  • Some customers complain that the caffeine hit in this product is too weak
  • Ingredient quantities are not listed
  • Long ingredients list means that many side effects are possible

What You Need To Know About NLA for Her Uplift

Uplift is a pre-workout supplement that is manufactured by an American company called NLA for Her. Like all of the products sold by NLA for Her, Uplift is designed to act as a female-friendly version of the traditional pre-workout, cutting back on the usual high dosage of caffeine and creatine. This product comes in a number of flavours, including Guava Passion, Cherry Limeade, and Raspberry Lemonade.

What Are The Side Effects Of NLA for Her Uplift?

As this product uses a relatively large number of ingredients, it has the potential to cause a range of side effects. We’ve only mentioned a few of the most likely here, but please check the Side Effects tab for the full exhaustive list!

Some of the amino acids used in this product (such as the BCAAs, l-arginine, l-carnitine, and others) can cause a range of side effects, including stomach pain, diarrhoea, fatigue, vomiting, heartburn, seizures, blood abnormalities, airway inflammation, and more.

Although the dosage of caffeine used in this product is not thought to be particularly high, those sensitive to it may experience jitters, headaches, insomnia, and other issues.

How Much Does NLA for Her Uplift Cost?

Although Uplist is priced slightly different depending on where you buy it, the price is generally reasonable wherever you go. For a tub containing 40 servings of Uplift, the cheapest prices we found were on Amazon and www.bodybuilding.com ($27.98). Most website (such as Lucky Vitamin, iHerb, and others) sell the same tub for just under $30. The webstore to avoid is the one operated by the official NLA for Her website, which sells a 40-serving tub of Uplift for $34.99.

Our Verdict On NLA for Her Uplift

We feel that Uplift could end up being a great pre-workout choice for many customers. Despite failing to publish necessary ingredient quantity information, we can see that this product uses a generally good list of ingredients that should work well to improve performance, boost energy, and increase focus. Uplift is also relatively cheap and cheerful, and is backed by a generous 30-day money-back guarantee that covers purchases made from any official 3rd party retailer.

Significant efforts appear to have been made to make this product suitable for women, as the caffeine levels have been significantly reduced so as to avoid the dreaded “jitters” associated with many other pre-workouts. However, many customers flag this up as a distinct negative, claiming that this product is too weak to act as an effective pre-workout. We would like to make our own judgement call on it, but the lack of individual ingredient quantities makes this impossible – a major negative.

This product could remain a great choice for women of a more petite build, those sensitive to caffeine, or those looking for a high-quality pre-workout that won’t leave you jittery and riddled with side effects. However, given the lack of published ingredient quantities, we cannot confirm whether this formulation is truly well-balanced, or just the subject of praise rooted in good marketing and the placebo effect. We can’t recommend it due to this major drawback, but still consider trying this one out if you’re looking for a less jittery pre-workout.

Overall, we do not recommend NLA for Her Uplift to our readers.

NLA for Her Uplift Review

Uplift is a pre-workout formula designed especially for women. Unlike other pre-workout supplements on the market, this one attempts to provide a sharp burst of energy without providing too strong a hit of caffeine. As with many other pre-workouts, Uplift comes in the form of a powder designed to be mixed with water and consumed before a hard workout.

NLA for Her Uplift Facts

  • Manufactured by NLA for Her
  • Contains 32oz of powder per pack
  • Pre-workout formula designed for use by women

Uplift is produced and sold by NLA for Her, a Californian workout supplement manufacturer that sells specialist products designed for female athletes. The company claims to strike a balance between the existing “soft” products designed for women and the overly strong products designed for men. Along with selling the supplements themselves, the NLA for Her website has numerous articles and sections dedicated to training, increasing motivation, and healthy recipes. The company can be contacted via the details supplied on their official website.

How to Take NLA for Her Uplift

The directions for use are as follows:

As a dietary supplement, mix 1 scoop (5.25 grams) with 4-8 ounces of cold water and consume 20-30 minutes before beginning activity. This is to be done the first three (3) times using “UPLIFT”. Under no circumstances should any of the warnings be ignored. Beginning with the 3rd time using UPLIFT, dose may be increased by, but not more than, 1/2 of a scoop (2.625 grams). The ideal individual dose may vary between 1-2 scoops.

NLA for Her Uplift Concerns:

  • Ingredient quantities not listed
  • Some customers complain that the formula is not strong enough to be effective
  • May cause several side effects

What Does NLA for Her Uplift Claim To Do?

Uplift is designed to be taken immediately before a workout, and claims to provide a source of “clean and sustained energy” that is less prone to crashes or jitters. Along with providing a simple energy boost, this pre-workout is also intended to improve overall athletic performance, helping customers to push harder and more effectively than normal.

In addition, NLA for Her claim that their product has an anabolic component that help customers to build and maintain muscle. According to the manufacturer, this action is possible due to Uplift’s ability to “increase fast twitch muscle fibre activation” during workouts.

Finally, the official product sales page also mentions that Uplift contains a source of nootropics, which aims to help customers maintain focus and concentration.

Does NLA for Her Uplift Work?

Unfortunately, NLA for Her does not publish the ingredient quantities used in this product, which makes it genuinely hard to know how effective the overall mix is. Most of the ingredients used in this product need to be dosed correctly in order to be effective, and as Uplift uses so many different ingredients, there’s a lot that could go wrong.

On the face of it, the blend of performance-boosting amino acids is relatively well thought out, and they should help athletes to build muscle (if dosed correctly). The formula uses a few different nootropics that should work well together to boost focus and concentration.

Most customer reviews indicate that the energy-boosting potential of this pre-workout is good, and many former customers appear to be satisfied that the dosage of caffeine included in this mix is strong enough to be effective without causing unpleasant jitters. However, most of the few negative reviews felt that the mix was not strong enough for their tastes!

Overall, Uplift appears to be an effective (albeit mild) pre-workout supplement.

What Are The Ingredients of NLA for Her Uplift?

The ingredients used in NLA for Her Uplift are listed below. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has failed to disclose the ingredient quantities used in this product, which can make it difficult or impossible for customers to know whether the product is truly effective. The few ingredient quantities that are listed are correct for 1 scoop (5.25g/0.185oz) of powder.

Readers should note that the ingredients list and quantities provided below is only correct for the Guava Passion and Raspberry Lemonade flavours of Uplift. The Cherry Limeade version is identical, except for the fact that the manufacturers have chosen to remove the glucose polymers, add in vinpocetine, and list all other ingredients as a proprietary formula (5250mg).

  • Niacin (Niacinamide) 12 mg (60% DV): This vitamin is normally only useful in cases of deficiency, although very high doses are known to help lower cholesterol (higher than the dose used in this product). Source
  • Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin) 1.8 mg (30% DV): Vitamin B12 is naturally present in many foods, primarily meat, fish, and dairy products. It has several roles, including aiding in releasing energy from consumed food, and keeping the nervous system healthy. It may be that a deficiency hinders weight loss, but taking excess amounts could be, according to the NHS, potentially harmful. Source
  • Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine HCl) 1.5 mg (75% DV): Vitamin B6 has several important functions in the body, including ‘allowing the body to use and store energy from protein and carbohydrates in food’. Whilst taking excess amounts of vitamin B6 will not infinitely improve this ability, a deficiency could make it more difficult to lose weight. Vitamin B6 is naturally present in a wide variety of foods, including meat, cereals, bread, and vegetables, and is often included in fortified breakfast cereals. Source

Lean Muscle Matrix 1245mg

  • Beta Alanine: Beta alanine has been repeatedly proven to raise the levels of muscle carnosine in the human body, which has the effect of increasing the amount of work athletes can perform in high-intensity workouts. Its use is accompanied by a distinctive “tingling” sensation in the muscles. Source
  • L-Lysine HCl: Some studies suggest that this amino acid could help muscle tissue to recover after workouts. Source
  • L-Carnitine Complex: One study found that supplementation of L-carnitine reduced muscle tissue damage from exercise and sped up recovery time. It is often included within supplements like these to boost muscular performance, increase energy levels and treat fatigue. Source
  • Glycine: Although most people will enjoy sufficient supplies of glycine from their normal diet, this amino acid is still vitally important for the normal functioning of the body. It is mainly involved in the formation of creatine, and in the metabolism and digestive processes in general. Source
  • L-Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate (AKG): This essential amino acid is plentiful in foods and can be made by the body. Important for wound healing and circulation, l-arginine is thought to boost the levels of Nitric Oxide in the body. The use of the Alpha-Ketoglutarate salt is intended to increase intestinal uptake. Source
  • L-Leucine
  • L-Isoleucine
  • L-Valine: Though individually these amino acids are not particularly distinctive, collectively they form the Branched-Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs). BCAAs are sometimes taken during workouts to improve exercise performance, although the scientific evidence seems to suggest that this effect is only observable in inexperienced athletes. Supplementation is also not always useful, as many people will get sufficient stocks of BCAAs from their normal diet. Source
  • L-Threonine: This precursor of l-glycine is often used to treat disorders of the nervous system. Source
  • L-Phenylalanine: Existing research suggests that ADHD-sufferers are deficient in phenylalanine, leading some to believe that supplementing this amino acid could reduce the symptoms of ADHD. More recent studies have shown that taking l-phenylalanine orally unfortunately has no effect on ADHD symptoms. It is not often linked with athletic performance. Source
  • Agmatine Sulfate: Agmatine Sulfate is thought by some to act as a useful form of pain relief, although most sports supplement manufacturers promote it as a way to improve performance and aid exercise recovery. Source

Energy Matrix 2029mg

  • Caffeine Anhydrous: Numerous studies have shown that caffeine boosts energy levels and alertness, as well as mildly boosting the metabolism, causing a small increase in the number of calories used by the body. The effects shown in studies are small, and some studies are inconclusive. This product uses a massive dose of caffeine that is likely to cause side effects. Source
  • Phenylethylamine HCl: More commonly known as PEA, this ingredient is derived from the amino acid phenylalanine. It is thought to increase alertness, improve concentration/focus, and may also enhance mood. Source
  • Inositol: This ingredient is often used to control insulin levels in the body. It also appears to treat anxiety when used in high doses. Source
  • PABA (Para Amino Benzoic Acid): This chemical is found in folic acid, and is most commonly rubbed on the skin and used as sun block. Source
  • L-Tyrosine Alpha Ketoglutarate (AKG): An amino acid that is a building block of protein, this ingredient is found naturally in many foods including meat and dairy products. In existing trials, L-Tyrosine appears to effectively improve cognition and memory during stressful periods. Source
  • Choline Bitartrate: Choline supplementation appears to improve attention, and could improve memory. Choline is required to make increased levels of acetylcholine in the brain, a neurotransmitter which is linked with improved learning, memory retention and recall. Source
  • Schisandra Extract (berry): This berry is used as an ‘adaptogen’, increasing the body’s resistance to disease and stress. It is also used to stimulate the immune system and for improving liver function. Source
  • Norcoclaurine: Also known as Higenamine, this chemical compound can be extracted from various plants. It has only been tested in vitro and in animals, so its effects in humans are totally unknown. However, these studies have indicated that it may aid athletic performance, and works as a stimulant. Source

Noo-Tropic Brain and Body Matrix 922mg

  • Dimethylaminoethanol Bitartrate (DMAE): This ingredient is marketed as a memory and mood enhancer, as it is a major chemical component of choline. There is currently little clinical evidence to support the notion that it contributes to brain cognition to the same extent as choline itself. Source
  • L-Histidine: This amino acid is involved in a number of enzyme-catalysed reactions. Supplementation of histidine is not thought to result in any outcome, positive or negative. Source
  • Vinpocetine (Vinca minor, lesser Periwinkle extract) (whole plant) (only in Cherry Limeade flavour): Because it is an entirely synthetic chemical, that requires significant lab-work to produce, there is some debate as to whether this ingredient actually qualifies as a supplement under US and FDA guidelines. Vinpocetine may increase blood flow to the brain, and so may help to treat fatigue and improve memory; despite claims about research being extensive, most research is outdated and uses biased research methods. Source
  • Glucose Polymers (only in Guava Passion and Raspberry Lemonade flavours): This ingredient is often put into sports drinks as a source of energy. Source

Does NLA for Her Uplift Have Any Side Effects?

As with many other products that use lots of ingredients, Uplift could cause more than a few side effects. However, this product appears to use a far lower dosage of caffeine than many of its competitors, and thus may not be quite as problematic as your average pre-workout.

The use of L-arginine may also lead to some side effects (including abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhoea, blood abnormalities, airway inflammation, worsening of asthma, and low blood pressure), and L-Lysine can sometimes cause stomach pain and diarrhoea.

Branched-Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) can occasionally cause fatigue and a loss of muscular coordination when supplemented. Customers that find themselves susceptible to this effect should avoid driving after taking this product.

L-Carnitine can cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, heartburn, diarrhoea, and seizures. It can also cause the urine, breath, and sweat to have a “fishy” odour.

This product does not appear to use an overly large dosage of caffeine, but those sensitive to it may still experience issues. High doses of caffeine can cause headaches, jitteriness, insomnia, an increased heartrate, heart palpitations, increased urination, dehydration, and increased blood pressure.

The nootropics used in this product could also cause issues. Although Tyrosine is tolerated generally in very high doses, it can cause some side effects including nausea, headache, fatigue, heartburn, and joint pain. Side effects that can be caused by DMAE include constipation, itching, headache, drowsiness, insomnia, excitation, vivid dreams, confusion, depression, increased blood pressure, an increase in schizophrenia symptoms, and unwanted movements of the face and mouth.

Caution:
Do not exceed recommended dose. Pregnant or nursing mothers, children under the age of 18, and the elderly and individuals with a known medical condition should consult a physician before using this or any dietary supplement. Product contains caffeine and naturally occurring caffeine, which may cause restlessness and sleep difficulty in some sensitive people. Keep out of the reach of children.

Are There Any Customer Reviews For NLA for Her Uplift?

Uplift appears to be relatively popular with customers, and has attracted a lot of praise for its flavour, reasonable price and well-balanced energy boost. However, some customers find the relatively mild caffeine boost provided by Uplift insufficient for their demanding workouts.

This stuff has changed my life. I used to be one of those people who worked out on and off. I would be really good for three days and then stop for a week… This stuff has completely changed that. In the last month I have consistently worked out 5-6 times a week. Even when i went on vacation… The best part is that it doesn’t give you jitters or anything! I’ve taken products with a lot of caffeine which have always made me feel horrible. The only side effect I have noticed is that my hands tingle sometimes about a half hour after I take it. The taste isn’t great but not bad enough that you can’t choke down. I swear to you this supplement is a life changer!

I love this pre-workout! It gives me clean, sustainable energy for my workout without the jitters or feelings of anxiety that I get with other pre-workouts. I usually only use it on days when I am not feeling pumped for the gym, and this stuff gets me out of that funk

Love my Uplift!! It gives me just the right amount of energy to perform a little harder on my lifts without making me feel like spiders are crawling out of my skin. You won’t get that “crash” feeling about halfway through or directly after your workout. If you are looking for a steady, clean pre-workout to give you extra punch during your workouts – I highly recommend Uplift!!

I work out regularly in the morning usually after a cup of coffee. I started taking this (recommended serving size) and could not tell any difference. I honestly like a little bit of jitter because at least I know it’s working and it makes me work out till the jitters are gone. However, this didn’t do it for me.

Tried the raspberry lemonade flavor a couple times before my workout and was unimpressed; didn’t get that rush of energy you typically feel with preworkout, even tried to up the dosage of scoops… Super bummed out.

The ketogenic diet is an extremely low-carb eating plan that has garnered significant attention, praise, and criticism in recent years. It relies on a principle of encouraging dieters to consume a high-fat, low-carb diet that forces the body to enter an unusual state called “ketosis”. Whilst in this state, the body is forced to burn fat directly instead of glucose, causing dramatic weight loss at the expense of some notable health risks.

Below we take an in-depth look at Sheer Strength Keto Cheat, to see whether this carb-blocking supplement has what it takes to help ketogenic dieters to succeed.

Sheer Strength Keto Cheat Pros

  • Product could work well for some people
  • Ingredient quantity information clearly listed
  • Most customer reviews are positive

Sheer Strength Keto Cheat Cons

  • Product is not effective or appropriate for those following a ketogenic diet
  • No money-back guarantee
  • Some of the positive reviews left online appear to have been faked

What You Need To Know About Sheer Strength Keto Cheat

Sheer Strength Keto Cheat is a weight loss supplement that claims to act as a carb-blocker and fat-burner. It is advertised as being a handy aid for those choosing to follow an extremely low-carb diet (such as the ketogenic diet), as the carb-blockers within the formula can supposedly block the absorption of any forbidden carbohydrates and help the dieter maintain the “ketosis” state for longer. Although originally sold on the manufacturer’s website, this product is currently only available to buy on Amazon.

What Are The Side Effects Of Sheer Strength Keto Cheat?

Both of the truly active ingredients in Keto Cheat may cause occasional side effects. White kidney bean can sometimes cause stomach pain, bloating, more frequent bathroom visits, and severe flatulence. Dieters must also remain aware that carb-blockers like these may also block the absorption of vitamins and other nutrients, and so may have to compensate for this.

The caffeine found in the green tea included in this product could also cause mild issues, including but not limited to, headaches, an increased heartrate, increased blood pressure, heart palpitations, increased urination, dehydration, jitteriness, dizziness, constipation, and insomnia.

How Much Does Sheer Strength Keto Cheat Cost?

Sheer Strength Keto Cheat is priced very reasonably, costing $28.97 (plus shipping) per pack on Amazon. Each pack contains 60 capsules, which works out to a month’s supply when taken as directed.

Our Verdict On Sheer Strength Keto Cheat

Keto Cheat is a simple yet mostly effective formulation. Two out of its three main ingredients have been dosed effectively, and both should work well together to create the advertised carb-blocking and fat-burning action that has so far pleased most customers.

The main problem with this remain a significant one: the all-important carb-blocking benefit will not work for many of this product’s target customers. The issue is to do with the specificities of how carb-blockers like white kidney bean work; in a nutshell, they can only block a proportion of the carbs that are consumed, making this supplement ineffectual if the customer is on an extremely low-carb diet. Ketogenic dieters are more than welcome to try it, but existing research suggests that this product will do little to nothing for them, and certainly won’t prevent the negative effects associated with “cheat” days.

This is a major drawback, and perhaps explains why so few of the many positive reviews we’ve seen mention actual weight loss, instead simply imagining benefits that may not be there. It’s also worth mentioning that this product’s manufacturer, Sheer Strength Labs, do not offer any kind of money-back guarantee, meaning that dissatisfied customers may have to stick by their unfortunate purchase.

As carb-blocking fat-burners go, this product is not bad at all. However, it does seem to suffer with more than a touch of false advertising, so we can’t recommend it as a true “keto cheat”.

We do not recommend Sheer Strength Keto Cheat to our readers.

Sheer Strength Keto Cheat Review

Sheer Strength Keto Cheat is a carb-blocker and fat-burner that is available to buy on Amazon. As its name suggests, it is designed to be used as part of a ketogenic or low-carb diet, and claims to give dieters an extra edge in the drive to reduce carbohydrate intake. It aims to do this through the use of three simple ingredients: green tea, cinnamon, and white kidney bean.

Sheer Strength Keto Cheat Facts

  • Manufactured by Sheer Strength Labs
  • Contains 60 capsules per pack
  • Carb-blocking and fat-burning supplement

This weight loss product is produced and sold by Sheer Strength Labs, an American supplement manufacturer. Sheer Strength sell the usual line-up of performance-boosting, weight loss, and general health supplements, whilst also providing handy advice videos and articles on how to get the most out of a bodybuilding or general workout session. Their products are promoted by fitness model and “life coach” Thomas DeLauer, who features in many of their advertisements and video blogs. The company can be contacted by email (help@sheerstrengthlabs.com).

How to Take Sheer Strength Keto Cheat

The directions for use are as follows:

  • As a dietary supplement, take 2 capsules daily with a full glass of water. For adults only

Sheer Strength Keto Cheat Concerns:

  • No money-back guarantee
  • Review-checking websites indicate that many of this product’s reviews are fake
  • Despite its name, this product is unlikely to help customers following the keto diet

What Does Sheer Strength Keto Cheat Claim To Do?

On its Amazon product page, Keto Cheat claims to “block carbohydrate absorption into the body, cut down on subcutaneous body fat buildup, and support healthy weight loss”. It claims to be especially useful for customers that are following a ketogenic or other low-carb diet, promising opportunities to “slim down or tone up”.

Although not explicitly suggested, the name of the product suggests that customers that might be looking for opportunities to break their restrictive diets (such as by eating small quantities of carbohydrates) could take this supplement as a way to block those carbs and “cheat” the system.

Does Sheer Strength Keto Cheat Work?

Keto Cheat uses two ingredients (white kidney bean and green tea) that are thought to be effective at blocking the absorption of carbohydrates and burning fat respectively (the third ingredient, cinnamon cassia, has been included in too weak a dosage to be effective).

It should be noted that although white kidney bean is generally effective at blocking the absorption of starch, the size of its effect remains relatively weak. For consumers that regularly eat large quantities of carbohydrates, this shouldn’t matter all that much – even if only 10% of carbs are blocked, the white kidney bean should still block a relatively large quantity of potential calories, inducing weight loss as promised. However, the target audience of this product is specifically described as “those following a ketogenic or low-carb diet”, who likely consume extremely low levels of carbohydrates. Dieters like these can’t expect to eat small amounts of carbs and then have Keto Cheat block them entirely; instead, studies show that the white kidney bean does little to nothing in these circumstances.

In summary? Expect to see good results with this relatively well-designed product if you currently regularly follow a high-carb diet, but don’t expect anything too Earth-shattering if you are one of the keto/low-carb diet followers this product is actually designed for!

What Are The Ingredients of Sheer Strength Keto Cheat?

The ingredients used in Sheer Strength Keto Cheat are listed below. The ingredient quantities listed are correct for 2 capsules.

  • White Kidney (Phaseolus vulgaris) [Bean] 20:1 Extract 500mg: One study in humans showed that participants who consumed white kidney bean extract, in addition to being on a multi-component weight loss programs (diet, exercise, and behavioral intervention), lost more weight when compared to those who just followed the multi-component diet. This is due to the ability of white kidney bean to reduce the absorption of complex carbohydrates, meaning that it can effectively reduce the calorific content of starchy foods. Although this effect has been seen elsewhere, results generally suggest that white kidney bean is only an effective carb-blocker for those that consume proportionately more carbohydrates in their diet, making it likely ineffective as a weight loss aid for those on a low-carb diet. Source; Source
  • Green Tea (Camellia sinensis) [Leaf] (Standardized to 45% EGCG, 95% Polyphenols) 250mg: Green tea is high in a group of antioxidants called catechins. Studies have suggested that catechins increase thermogenesis in the body, whilst caffeine increases energy expenditure by boosting the metabolism slightly for few hours. Source
  • Cinnamon (Cinnamomum cassia) [Bark] Powder 200mg: Several studies have found a link between cinnamon and the regulation of blood glucose levels, and it may play a small role in improving insulin sensitivity. In terms of its effects upon weight, this area has been under researched. In any case, the dosage used in this product is far too low to be effective. Source

A surprising number of dieters have reported side effects from using white kidney bean-based carb blockers. As dieters get used to the effects of the product, they may experience stomach pain, increased bowel movements, and flatulence. Some have reported severe gas and bloating that can occasionally cause significant discomfort in the stomach.

The use of carb blockers may seriously reduce or limit the creation of alpha-amylase, the enzyme that breaks down carbohydrates in the stomach. Whilst this will aid weight loss in the short term, it may become unhealthy to continue this in the long term. The use of carb blockers is also thought to reduce the absorption of vitamins, once again making it important to use them only in the short term.

Green tea is a source of caffeine, which can cause side effects such as headaches, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, heart palpitations, increased urination, dehydration, jitteriness, dizziness, and insomnia. Green tea can also cause constipation.

Caution:
Do not exceed the recommended dosage. Pregnant or nursing mothers, children under the age of 18, and individuals with known medical conditions should consult a physician before using this or any dietary supplement. Do not consume with other medications that may have an effect on blood pressure.

Are There Any Customer Reviews For Sheer Strength Keto Cheat?

Sheer Strength Keto Cheat generally attracts positive reviews online, with many customers apparently satisfied with the supplement’s ability to ease the pain of high-carb “cheat” days for restrictive diets. Although much of this praise is legitimate in its origins, it must be mentioned that more than a few positive comments have been faked (according to the review-checking services on FakeSpot and ReviewMeta). Relatively few happy customers also mention specifically losing weight whilst using this product.

I have been dieting for 2 months but theirs sometimes I just need something a little sweet or have a cheat meal I feel like I can have a cheat meal and not have to feel so bad about it. I don’t get that bloated feeling after eating something I shouldn’t thank you so much!!! I’m down 21 pounds so far

I actually had my first cheat meal in years after taking this and I didn’t feel bad about it! No bloated or icky feeling that a cheat meal would usually cause.

I’m on a ketogenic diet but allow one cheat meal per week. I feel this assists me in preventing issues with getting and maintains Ketosis.

Works great when you have a special occasion. Great to get back into Ketosis quicker.

Doesn’t work

Does Sheer Strength Keto Cheat Offer a Money-Back Guarantee?

“Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.”

What You Need To Know About Bio Schwartz Maximum Strength Garcinia Cambogia

Bio Schwartz Maximum Strength Garcinia Cambogia claims to provide a strong serving of garcinia cambogia with 95% HCA so you would think if this ingredient really does work, this supplement may be a good way of trying it for yourself. However this is in a three capsule serving, so it really is no different from many other products on the market that require you to take just 2 capsules for a 1000mg dose. That said it looks OK. The company look fairly reputable, and the supplements are made in the USA so it should be reasonably safe.

The downside is that so many people have left positive reviews on Amazon in return for a free bottle; it is hard to believe any of the positive experiences. Amazon are attempting to remove incentifized reviews from their site but with Bio Schwartz still offering freebies in return for positive comments, it seems that they have a long way to go before this is achieved.

What Are The Side Effects Of Bio Schwartz Maximum Strength Garcinia Cambogia?

Potential side effects may include; headaches, skin rash, upset stomach, abdominal cramps, gas, loss of appetite, fatigue, chest pains, light headedness, slowed heart beat, constipation, and allergic reaction.

This supplement contains potassium chloride which is known to cause interactions with some medication so speak to your doctor or pharmacist before use, if you are taking prescription drugs.

How Much Does Bio Schwartz Maximum Strength Garcinia Cambogia Cost?

Bio Schwartz Maximum Strength Garcinia Cambogia is not very expensive. Buy from the official Bio Schwartz website and it costs $18.95 for 90 capsules (30 servings).

Shipping is calculated at the point of sale. You are offered a further 10% discount if you give your email address.

You can also find Maximum Strength Garcinia Cambogia on sale at Amazon, where it costs $18.85 for a 90 capsule bottle.

Our Verdict On Bio Schwartz Maximum Strength Garcinia Cambogia

When we first saw this supplement we were surprised because it seemed to be a superior garcinia cambogia product on the market, plus we were impressed by all that great customer feedback. Maybe garcinia does work, we though because although the clinical evidence is not very strong, experts agree that it may do something and maybe the customer reviews somehow proved it?

However we were quickly disappointed. Bio Schwartz have definitely manipulated customer feedback with their promises of freebies, and so it is impossible to judge whether any of the positive customer experiences are actually genuine. In addition, the inclusion of potassium in the formula seems unnecessary, and makes the risk of side effects much higher than if they had just not bothered.

Overall, we are not impressed and we do not recommend Bio Schwartz Maximum Strength Garcinia Cambogia to our readers.

Bio Schwartz Maximum Strength Garcinia Cambogia Review

Maximum Strength Garcinia Cambogia is a straight forward looking weight loss supplement. It contains garcinia cambogia as the prime ingredient, plus added minerals potassium, calcium, and chrome. Each capsule delivers 1500mg of garcinia extract per serving out of which there is 95% of Hydroxycitric Acid – the weight loss component of the extract.

Bio Schwartz Maximum Strength Garcinia Cambogia Facts

  • Each bottle contains 90 capsules
  • Each serving delivers 1500mg of garcinia cambogia
  • You can get an additional free bottle by posting a positive Amazon review about this supplement.

Garcinia Cambogia is a fruit. It grows in Asia where it is known for its sour taste. However it has come to worldwide attention in recent years because of its so called benefits to weight loss. Garcinia is high in Hydroxycitric acid (HCA) and according to research this helps weight loss in a couple of ways.

How to Take Bio Schwartz Maximum Strength Garcinia Cambogia

  • Take three (3) veggie capsules once a day
  • For best results take one (1) capsule 3 times a day, 30 minutes before a meal, always on an empty stomach with a full glass of water

The first is that the chemicals in HCA prevent a natural digestive enzyme called Alpha Amalyse from breaking down the carbs you eat for storing them into fat. Instead, some of these undigested carbs pass through your body in much the same way as the function of a carb blocker.

The second way is that garcinia cambogia is supposed to have a mood boosting effect because it helps build serotonin levels – the brains feel good chemical. The improvement of mood may help reduce comfort eating which is more likely to hit people when they are depressed.

Bio Schwartz Garcinia Cambogia delivers a high serving size of HCA, so if Garcinia Cambogia really works as well as it supposed to, this supplement should be effective.

Bio Schwartz Maximum Strength Garcinia Cambogia Concerns:

  • The formula contains potassium chloride which may cause interactions with prescription medication. This is not mentioned in the product information
  • How can you believe any customer reviews on Amazon when companies like Bio Schwartz are essentially paying for reviews?
  • Although garcinia cambogia is not a dangerous ingredient, this supplement may cause side effects

Bio Schwartz is a US supplements company which sells direct from the official Bio Schwartz website, and also via Amazon where Bio Schwartz supplements including Garcinia Cambogia have attracted thousands of customer reviews. This makes the company and their products look incredibly popular and effective but as ever, things may not be quite as they seem.

One reason for this so called popularity is the Bio Schwartz free bottle offer. Customers are advised that if they post a positive review they will get a free bottle of the same supplement. We looked into the feedback for Garcinia Cambogia and found that Amazon had already “scrubbed” many customer reviews for this supplement.

Amazon is trying to crack down on “incentivised reviews” on the website where customers are given freebies for their so called honest experience. Bio Schwartz are obviously a major offender of this practice, so it is surprising that this company is still so obviously getting away with this major contravention of the rules.

What Does Bio Schwartz Maximum Strength Garcinia Cambogia Claim To Do?

Bio Schwartz makes all the usual claims associated with Garcinia Cambogia supplements;

  • Helps Block Fat & Promote Burn Fat (fat burners for women & men with Chromium)
  • Helps Suppress Appetite and Food Cravings (curb your appetite to lose weight)
  • Helps Increase Energy Levels
  • Boost Metabolism and Concentration
  • Helps to Inhibit Fat Production
  • Promotes Healthy Cholesterol Levels
  • Helps to Avoid Emotional Eating

You can combine it with other Bio Schwartz supplements

“Works well with forskolin and colon detox.”

This supplement has high potency

“#1 EFFECTIVE GARCINIA CAMBOGIA EXTRACT FOR WEIGHT LOSS: Our pure garcinia (garcinia cambogia pills) has the highest concentration of HCA in the market and is infused with potassium and calcium for improved absorption and rapid results.”

Finally,

“NO SIDE EFFECTS – MADE IN USA – 100% NATURAL: Endorsed by doctors on TV, this all natural weight loss supplement (the best fat burners for women & men) is 100% pure garcinia cambogia extract (garcinia cambogia hca) with NO fillers, binders or artificial ingredients.”

This is not strictly true. Some customers have struggled with side effects from garcinia cambogia. In addition the only doctor who endorsed garcinia on TV was Dr Oz and he was criticised by the Senate for making false claims on TV about supplements. One of the worst offenders was Garcinia Cambogia, so this does not really prove anything at all. Source

Does Bio Schwartz Maximum Strength Garcinia Cambogia Work?

Garcinia cambogia has been widely touted for weight loss by the various supplement companies selling products but the evidence is not quite as convincing.

The Journal of Obesity carried out an overview of all the clinical trials carried out on garcinia cambogia, and found that most of these were low quality and did not fulfil the criteria of proper clinical investigation. In many cases it appears that the trials were carried out to prove that HCA worked for weight loss, rather than impartial investigation. Some of the studies were carried out on rats and the results extrapolated for the potential benefits on humans.

However, the conclusion was that Garcinia Cambogia can help generate weight loss in the ways as described. The downside is that the size of the effect is so small, it is practically unnoticeable.

The overview concluded,

“The evidence from RCTs suggests that Garcinia extracts/HCA generate weight loss on the short term. However, the magnitude of this effect is small, is no longer statistically significant when only rigorous RCTs are considered, and its clinical relevance seems questionable. Future trials should be more rigorous, longer in duration, and better reported.” Source

If you combine this supplement with a healthy diet and exercise regime, you may find that you lose weight but it is highly possible that it will not have much real benefit other than as a placebo. The jury is still out on garcinia cambogia.

What Are The Ingredients of Bio Schwartz Maximum Strength Garcinia Cambogia?

Serving size is equal to three capsules. Information here reflects 3 capsule serving size and is not per capsule.

  • Garcinia Cambogia (95% HCA) (1500mg): Garcinia cambogia is a fruit that is high in hydroxycitric acid (HCA) and here with a high serving of this active ingredient at 95% of a 1500mg serving, if it does work as described, then this supplement should work too. In most cases supplements use a serving size of around 1000mg, so Bio Schwartz Maximum Strength is stronger than similar products on the market.
  • Potassium Chloride (75mg): Potassium is a vital mineral that is necessary for many bodily functions including heart beat, and it is available in many foodstuffs including bananas. Low potassium levels are of serious medical concern. However there is no need to take potassium chloride – the form that potassium supplements come in, unless you are instructed by your doctor. It can cause side effects and interactions. Source
  • Calcium Carbonate (75mg): Calcium carbonate is one of the most common substances on the planet and the main component of shells, rocks, and limestone. It is most usually taken as an antacid, so it is possible it is included here as prevention against potential side effects of the HCA.
  • Chromium Nicotinate Gylcinate Chelate (295mcg): Mineral compound containing Chromium, a mineral nutrient needed by humans in very small amounts. Chromium appears to be important in the metabolism of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates, and the regulation of blood sugar. Studies suggest that chromium supplements may help diabetes sufferers regulate blood sugar and insulin.

Does Bio Schwartz Maximum Strength Garcinia Cambogia Have Any Side Effects?

Despite the claims that garcinia cambogia is side effect free, the clinical trials did note adverse effects.

Potential side effects to garcinia cambogia may include;

  • Headaches
  • Skin rash
  • Upset stomach
  • Abdominal cramps
  • Gas
  • Loss of appetite
  • Fatigue

Potassium Chloride can cause reactions including;

  • Chest pains
  • Light headedness
  • Slowed heart beat
  • Constipation
  • Allergic reaction including swelling, hives, skin rash.

Caution:
Not suitable for individuals under 18. Avoid if you are pregnant or breast feeding. Speak to your doctor first if you have an underlying medical condition or are taking prescription medication because this supplement could cause interactions.

Are There Any Customer Reviews For Bio Schwartz Maximum Strength Garcinia Cambogia?

There are thousands of customer reviews for Maximum Strength Garcinia Cambogia and Amazon have already scrubbed some of these because they were so obviously incentivised – where customers write a positive review in return for a freebie.

However with nearly 4000 reviews remaining, it seems as if Amazon has not gone far enough. Bio Schwartz are very open about this strategy. Inside each box you receive details on how to claim your free bottle.

The website explains;

“Getting a FREE Garcinia Cambogia Bottle is very easy! Just follow the instructions inside the box!”

The conditions are provided,

“Offer valid only for customers that bought the product at full price at SchwartzBioresearch.com or our Official Seller on Amazon.com. To qualify participants agree to send us their experience with the previously purchased product that they have been actively taking for at least 15 days or more.

Looking at the reviews, the overriding opinion is positive. Here is a selection of positive comments.

I ordered this after reading the positive reviews. It works! Sitting at a desk all day every day, I was constantly snacking and gaining weight. Garcinia Cambodia keeps my cravings away and with taking it twice a day, I’ve lost 8 pounds in the last 2 weeks. Definitely recommended!

Wow does not do justice to this product!

Love it, lost 5lbs. in 16 days

However, there are also many negative reviews, despite the promise of a free bottle!

Used it for the full month, followed the dosage to the minute! Felt no difference. Like at all. Did nothing to suppress anything! I’m not going to lie to get a free bottle…

A few customers have mentioned side effects,

This did not work for me. In fact, the only thing it did do was give me terrible farts.

Made me super sick light headed

Took me awhile to figure it out but this gave me horrible left side pain, bloating, trapped gas, constipation and headaches. No results other than pain for me. Will not buy ever again

In all cases customers have been contacted by Bio Schwartz with helpful suggestions.

Supplements tend to tackle the problem of weight loss in a variety of ways, from inducing thermogenesis in the body in order to burn fat, to suppressing the appetite, to using ingredients that affect the thyroid gland or blood sugar levels. Each approach can only hope to help a small proportion of dieters, as the root causes of obesity can be slightly different from person to person.

Below we take an in-depth look at SlimBliss Slenderite, to see whether this mixture of fat burners and thyroid stimulators is formulated in a way that benefits dieters.

SlimBliss Slenderite Pros

  • Customer reviews show that it could help some to lose a small amount of weight
  • Relatively inexpensive product

SlimBliss Slenderite Cons

  • This very simplistic formula mainly relies on caffeine for its weight loss action
  • Contains a few ingredients that could cause side effects
  • Some customers have posted negative experiences

What You Need To Know About SlimBliss Slenderite

SlimBliss Slenderite is a UK-made weight loss product that claims to burn fat, regulate the thyroid, and control blood sugar levels. This relatively new product has only been on the market since the autumn of 2017, and is backed by a very new manufacturer that appears to be still working on the company’s social media pages. Each bottle sold contains 90 white capsules that are reportedly safe for vegetarians and vegans.

What Are The Side Effects Of SlimBliss Slenderite?

Many of the ingredients found within SlimBliss Slenderite could cause side effects. For an exhaustive list of potential adverse effects, check the Side Effects tab!

The most likely cause of any and all side effects is this product’s moderately high caffeine content. When overconsumed, caffeine can cause jitters, sleeplessness, thirst, headaches, irritability, frequent urination, and other issues. The use of black pepper could make the above side effects more intense and more likely to occur.

This product also uses high doses of Vitamin B6 and iodine, which can sometimes cause brain and nerve problems, vomiting, headaches, tingling, insomnia, facial swelling, a runny nose, a metallic taste in the mouth, and other unpleasant effects. The high levels of chromium used in this product can also affect blood sugar levels, which could be cause for concern for diabetic customers.

How Much Does SlimBliss Slenderite Cost?

SlimBliss Slenderite is priced relatively cheaply. A one-month supply (containing 90 capsules) costs £19.99 on the official SlimBliss website. It is also available to buy for just £14.99 on Amazon.

Our Verdict On SlimBliss Slenderite

SlimBliss Slenderite is not one of the worst products we’ve seen, and most of the customers that have tried it appear to have found what they’re looking for. It’s also priced very fairly and is backed by a young manufacturer that appears to be eager to please, offering refunds when customers express dissatisfaction or complain of side effects.

However, a detailed dive into the ingredients list reveals a product that is not quite as complex or useful as it seems. Although the ingredients list appears packed, it is far simpler when useless ingredients are stripped out and you realise which ingredients are effectively double-counted. The only reliable weight loss action is supplied by a combination of green tea and green coffee bean, which works by providing little more than a caffeine boost. The use of iodine and chromium could affect the thyroid gland or blood sugar levels, but these effects are so unpredictable and different from customer-to-customer that they can’t be relied upon as an effective weight loss aid.

Most customers could experience the same benefits offered by Slenderite by merely drinking green tea regularly, and this could easily be achieved for far less than £15 per month. Consider this product to be one of the best of a bad bunch when it comes to simple thermogenic weight loss capsules, but its benefits are still far too few to seriously recommend.

Overall, we do not recommend SlimBliss Slenderite to our readers.

SlimBliss Slenderite Review

SlimBliss Slenderite is a weight loss supplement that claims to help customers regulate their thyroid function, whilst also boosting their body’s metabolism. This British-made supplement is a relative newcomer to the scene, and has seemingly only been sold since the autumn of 2017.

SlimBliss Slenderite Facts

  • Manufactured by Protein Bliss Ltd
  • Contains 90 capsules per bottle
  • British-made weight loss supplement

Slenderite is manufactured by SlimBliss, a new weight-loss brand that was created by a UK company called Protein Bliss Ltd. Protein Bliss were only incorporated in 2016, and their product designs appear to be heavily inspired by more established brands such as the UK’s Cute Nutrition. As of time of writing, most social media pages are only semi-active. The company can be contacted via email (sales@slimbliss.co, customerservice@slimbliss.co), snail-mail (Manor House 1 The Crescent, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 8D) or via their social media pages.

How to Take SlimBliss Slenderite

The directions for use are as follows:

  • Take one capsule, three times per day. Ideally to be taken before a meal

SlimBliss Slenderite Concerns:

  • Product has a reasonably high chance of causing side effects
  • Product’s weight loss benefits are mainly provided through high caffeine content
  • Around one-third of the available customer reviews are negative

What Does SlimBliss Slenderite Claim To Do?

SlimBliss Slenderite is a weight loss supplement that claims to break down fat in the body via a caffeine-based, thermogenic effect. It also reportedly helps to optimise thyroid function and manage blood sugar levels, in order to reduce unhelpful peaks and crashes. Although Slenderite is upfront in its use of caffeine as a fat burner, it also claims to use a “carefully managed dose in each capsule”, meaning that customers can avoid the jitters and shakes associated with caffeine overdose.

Does SlimBliss Slenderite Work?

Slenderite is actually a deceivingly simple mixture. Many of the ingredients are actually found naturally in green tea and green coffee bean, but seem to be listed so as to lengthen the ingredients list. In essence, this product contains a small dose of green tea, green coffee bean, black pepper, chromium, and iodine. It also uses a few totally useless ingredients, such as cinnamon and the strangely ubiquitous choline bitartrate.

The green tea and green coffee bean could help to provide the advertised thermogenic effect, but customers should be warned that this effect is largely down to caffeine. Some weight loss is possible, and a decent proportion of customers report experiencing weight loss benefits.

The use of chromium and iodine is intended to regulate blood sugar and activate the thyroid respectively. Both functions are relatively complex and are sensitive to the characteristics of individual customers, so it’s hard to imagine that a generic serving and dosage can correct thyroid/blood sugar problems if customers suffer with these. Both ingredients can actually make serious problems worse if dosed incorrectly, so we do not recommend using dietary supplements like these to manage thyroid or diabetic conditions.

Overall, this product is a fairly unremarkable weight loss pill, but could still provide small weight loss bonuses if customers are prepared to follow a diet and exercise plan.

What Are The Ingredients of SlimBliss Slenderite?

The ingredients used in SlimBliss Slenderite are listed below. The ingredient quantities listed are correct for 3 capsules.

  • Green Coffee Extract (20% Chlorogenic Acid) 300mg: Green Coffee is a natural source of caffeine, but it is unclear how much is found in the extract. Whilst it was thought that this ingredient was a significant aid in weight loss, the relevant research has been discredited as it was fraudulent. Currently there is no evidence that it aids with weight loss more than any other source of caffeine. Source
  • Green Tea Extract (40% Polyphenols) 300mg: Green tea is high in a group of antioxidants called catechins. Studies have suggested that catechins and caffeine both increase energy expenditure by boosting the metabolism temporarily. However, the metabolic increase caused by green tea is limited. One study found that the use of green tea was not enough to counteract weight gain following a high calorie diet. Source
  • L-Tyrosine 300mg: An amino acid that is a building block of protein, Tyrosine is found naturally in many foods including meat and dairy products. Some people use it as an appetite suppressant, but there is little evidence that it is effective for this use. Large doses of tyrosine may be useful for increasing alertness, especially in people who are sleep deprived. Source
  • Choline Bitartrate 247.5mg: Athletes sometimes supplement Choline to delay fatigue and improve endurance. It is also said to improve mental focus. However, the available clinical evidence suggests that Choline Bitartrate does not cause either effect to take place. Source
  • Caffeine Anhydrous 240mg: Numerous studies have shown that caffeine boosts energy levels and alertness, as well as mildly boosting the metabolism, causing a small increase in the number of calories used by the body. The effects shown in studies are small, and some studies are inconclusive. Caffeine is known to slightly increase athletic performance and mental performance. Source
  • L-Theanine 210mg: This amino acid is found in green tea, and may increase feelings of relaxation. It may also reduce the negative side effects of caffeine, although there is seemingly no clinical evidence to support this claim. Source
  • Cinnamon Extract 5:1 (providing 1050mg of Cinnamon) 210mg: Although cinnamon is often used to relieve the symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, it has never been linked with weight loss effects. In fact, some herbal remedies use cinnamon as a way to stimulate the appetite. Source
  • Vitamin B6 7.5mg (535% EU NRV): Vitamin B6 has several important functions in the body, including ‘allowing the body to use and store energy from protein and carbohydrates in food’. Source
  • Black Pepper Extract 5mg: Piperine, extracted from Black pepper, is used for increasing the bioavailability of nutritional compounds. In other words, it increases the amounts of nutrients that are absorbed into the body in the digestive tract. It may also increase the absorption of various drugs, which may lead to potential side effects. Source
  • Iodine 225µg (150% EU NRV): Iodine is used by the body in the synthesis of thyroid hormones in the thyroid gland, which are called triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4). The thyroid plays a significant role in the regulation of the body’s metabolic rate, and a deficiency of iodine can lead to an underproductive thyroid which is associated with weight gain and increased difficulty losing weight. Source
  • Chromium 75µg (188% EU NRV): This is used primarily to lower fasting blood sugar levels and to lower insulin levels in people who have type 2 diabetes. In terms of its potential effect upon weight loss, it is possible that taking chromium picolinate by mouth for 2 to 3 months might produce a small weight loss of about 1.1 kg. Obviously this is an incredibly small amount of weight loss, but studies are still inconclusive. It also helps to reduce insulin resistance. Source
  • Vitamin B12 7.5µg (300% EU NRV): Vitamin B12 is naturally present in many foods, primarily meat, fish, and dairy products. It has several roles, including aiding in releasing energy from consumed food, and keeping the nervous system healthy. It may be that a deficiency hinders weight loss, but taking excessive amounts should not have any appreciable effect. Source

Does SlimBliss Slenderite Have Any Side Effects?

This product could cause a range of side effects due to the caffeine content or the notably high doses of vitamins and iodine.

One initial concern is that the formula uses a needlessly huge dose of Vitamin B6 – although this ingredient is not thought to be harmful in normal circumstances, such a massive quantity can cause brain and nerve problems, vomiting, loss of appetite, headaches, tingling, and sleepiness. The use of iodine can also cause side effects for some people, including stomach pain, a metallic taste in the mouth, a runny nose, diarrhoea, facial swelling, and fevers.

This product contains various sources of caffeine. Overconsumption of caffeine can cause a variety of side effects, including headaches, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, heart palpitations, increased urination, dehydration, jitteriness, dizziness, and insomnia. There is also an amino acid in Green Coffee Bean called homocysteine that is associated with an increased risk of heart disease.

Although Tyrosine is tolerated generally in very high doses, it can cause some side effects including nausea, headache, fatigue, heartburn, and joint pain. Chromium can lower blood sugars levels and as such should not be used by diabetics without first consulting their doctor. Low blood sugar levels can lead to light headedness, dizziness, and even fainting. Customers who have not eaten for several hours are more likely to experience these side effects.

Black Pepper Extract increases the bioavailability of other compounds, including some medications; this could increase the chances of side effects from the other ingredients found in the product, or from caffeine consumed from other sources (tea, coffee, etc). Consumers who are taking medication are also more at risk of accidentally overdosing because of the higher absorption rate associated with Black Pepper Extract, and so should consult with their doctor before taking this product.

Caution:
Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Food supplements are not intended to replace a varied and balanced diet. Do not exceed recommended use. Due to high caffeine content (240mg per daily dose), this product is not suitable for children, pregnant, or breastfeeding women.

Are There Any Customer Reviews For SlimBliss Slenderite?

For such a new and seemingly little-known product, we were able to find a decent number of reviews for this product on Amazon. The majority appear to like the product, citing encouraging weight loss results. However, around one third of customers mentioned negative experiences, ranging from experiencing worrying side effects to experiencing no weight loss benefits.

Fantastic product. I’ve suffered from a thyroid problem for many years & I’ve noticed a diffference using these pills. More energised & less tired.
Highly recommend.

Already seeing a difference thanks to this product. I have more energy and rarely find myself hungry and snacking during the day, which was oh so commonplace previously. The product was swift to arrive so all in all I am really pleased with this purchase.

I don’t tend to write reviews but this product is great, I definitely feel like I’m making progress with reducing my waistline!! I feel more energised and find I can push harder in the gym or when I run.

took for 3 days, got terrible stomach cramps which stopped as soon as i stopped taking them.

I started taking these and continued for 2 weeks all I got was more bloating

Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse offers a combination of botanicals to help cleanse your body in a short time. It contains ingredients like milk thistle, cascara, and senna, that are supposed to cleanse your body in a systematic way. It is supposed to improve the function of your liver and kidneys as well. With its antioxidant content, it eliminates free radicals from your body and prevents inflammation at the same time. Interestingly, its use may help you lose weight as well.

Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse is supposed to help you get rid of toxins and free radicals in a matter of 7 days. It certainly contains some good ingredients, but the question is, is it really possible to detoxify your system in a week or so? Is it really possible to detoxify your body at all? Will you be able to lose weight after you have ‘cleansed’ your system? Here is our review to help you decide.

What You Need To Know About Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse

A buildup of toxins can make you deal with so many health problems. Your liver is responsible for eliminating those toxins from your body, and your kidneys play a role as well. Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse claims to help you get rid of those toxins by supporting the function of your liver and GI tract. Colon cleansing is quite popular among people interested in losing weight and Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse helps you with that as well. It contains ingredients, such as milk thistle, cascara, senna, buckthorn, psyllium, and more that work as laxatives and help you have a cleaner GI tract, which in turn supports your liver and improves your overall health. Unfortunately, there is insufficient scientific evidence to support the use of laxatives or botanicals to detoxify your body.

What Are The Side Effects Of Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse?

Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse is supposed to clean your gastrointestinal tract to help detoxify your body. However, it can make you deal with problems like nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal discomfort. Refer to our “Side Effects” section to find out more.

How Much Does Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse Cost?

Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse costs you $50 per pack. There are 7 servings in each pack.

Our Verdict On Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse

Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse claims to help you enjoy better health by improving the function of your liver. It contains several ingredients that help detoxify your body. All of its benefits rely on the assumption that its ingredient profile boosts liver function, which in turn helps you lose weight, prevent infections, and enjoy better digestive health.

Unfortunately, most of its ingredients are mild laxatives and do nothing to strengthen your liver. Some of its ingredients may actually cause diarrhea and other gastrointestinal problems. You need to understand that your body has a natural mechanism to eliminate toxins from your body, and taking a supplement is not going to help.

Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse does nothing to ‘cleanse’ your system and costs a lot as well. You will be much better off paying attention to your diet and following an active lifestyle to support your liver naturally.

Overall, we do not recommend Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse to our readers.

Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse Review

Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse claims to help you lose weight and enjoy a better overall health through detoxification. It provides you with antioxidants that are supposed to eliminate free radicals from your system. It is supposed to improve your liver function to promote a full body cleanse. Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse contain a number of natural ingredients, but most of those ingredients are mild laxatives. In other words, the product relies on the concept of colon cleansing. However, scientific studies do not support this way of ‘detoxification’ because it can lead to dehydration that can cause several complications.

You will find milk thistle in the blend, which is considered a mild laxative. Moreover, it provides you with antioxidants that are supposed to improve the function of your gallbladder and liver. It also claims to help people suffering from alcoholic cirrhosis, but unfortunately, not many studies are there to support these claims. Many studies have found contradictory results, which is why it is hard to say if milk thistle is going to support your liver and promote detoxification or not.

It is worth mentioning that some experts believe that milk thistle may prevent liver damage because it provides you with compounds called silymarin. Again, you will not find enough scientific evidence to support these claims.

  • In a 2007 review of 13 clinical trials, the independent Cochrane Collaboration questioned the use of milk thistle for alcoholic liver disease and hepatitis B and C because of the poor quality of the research. Moreover, nearly all studies have looked at milk thistle or silymarin in chronic liver disease; there’s little if any evidence the herb can “detoxify” or protect a healthy liver, though this is what these supplements are typically marketed for.

What it suggests is that you are less likely to experience any liver related benefits from milk thistle. Even when it works, it works for people who already have an unhealthy liver.

You will also find astragalus extract powder in the blend, which is supposed to lower inflammation in the body.

  • Though Astragalus membranaceus supplementation has been shown to reduce the metabolic and physical complications of aging, there are currently no studies that show an actual increase in lifespan.

It is worth mentioning that preliminary research suggests that astragalus may offer some cardiovascular benefits, but it is not going to support your liver or promote weight loss in any way.

  • The flavonoid content of Astragalus membranaceus may also contribute to its cardioprotective effects. Its polysaccharide content also protects the heart because it is a potent anti-inflammatory agent, and it is able to reduce cholesterol levels, similar to psyllium husk, which is a fiber supplement.

Another concern regarding the use of astragalus is that your body cannot absorb it properly. It has a very low bioavailability, which makes it quite ineffective, especially in case of Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse because you get no information about how much of it is there in the blend.

  • 144mg rhodiola (SHR-5) with 2.3% salidroside was able to reduce fatigue, but not stressed, in a cohort of otherwise healthy persons after 1 week of supplementation. Source

Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse Facts

  • 7 servings per pack
  • Natural ingredients

Senna extract powder is also an ingredient in Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse. There is some evidence that it may help treat constipation. It contains sennosides that are supposed work as a laxative. However, you need to bear in mind that it may cause side effects and lead to electrolyte imbalance and potassium deficiency in some people. Similarly, it contains cascara sagrada, which is considered a laxative, but the FDA banned it initially because of a lack of supportive evidence.

You will also find slippery elm powder in Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse. Again, it has laxative properties and is quite ineffective for your liver. some evidence suggests that it may help treat coughs, sore throat, diarrhea, and constipation, but do not expect it to help you get rid of toxins. There is also insufficient scientific evidence to support the use of slippery elm for colitis, urinary tract infections, stomach ulcers, and gastrointestinal inflammation.

Spirulina is also there in Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse, which is actually a type of non-toxic algae and offers several health benefits because it contains protein, phycocyanobilin, and vitamin B12. It does nothing to help you lose weight, but some studies show that it might help lower your appetite by improving glucose metabolism. However, whatever little benefits you get from spirulina come from large doses.

  • 2g Spirulina daily for 8 weeks was associated with an increase in power output and mean power output but not with muscular endurance. Source

Unfortunately, there is no information regarding the amount of spirulina present in Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse, which is why it is not possible to confirm whether it is going to offer any benefit or not.

Kelp powder is obtained from sea kelp, which is supposed to provide you with a compound called fucoxanthin. The compound is supposed to promote weight loss, but the problem is that many studies that observed positive effects of kelp included other ingredients as well.

  • A 2010 publication of “Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism” included the findings of a study on obese women and fucoxanthin, derived from brown seaweed (wakame). The compound was taken along with pomegranate seed oil. Scientists conducting the study found that women taking the supplement of kelp and oil showed overall decreases in liver and body fat content, as well as lower triglyceride levels and a smaller waist circumference.

How to Take Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse

Here is what the official site says about taking Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse:

  • DIRECTIONS: Add 1 serving (1 fl. oz.) of concentrate to a quart (32 fl. oz.) of water. Shake to mix. Drink 1 full bottle of concentrate mixed with 1 quart of water throughout the day, every day, for 7 consecutive days. Do not use for more than 14 consecutive days. Natural ingredients may settle at the bottom of the container, so shake before each use. Use 7 Day Body Cleanse Dietary Supplement once every 30 days.

There is rhubarb in the blend as well. It has laxative properties, but it may also provide you with anthraquinones and tannins that are supposed to help treat gastric ulcer, chronic kidney failure, and pregnancy-induced hypertension. It does nothing to improve the health of your liver, and has no role to play in weight loss either. Keep in mind that rhubarb may increase the levels of oxalates in your body, which put you at an increased risk of developing kidney stones. While Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse is supposed to improve the health of your liver, studies show that many compounds in rhubarb may actually make liver function worse. This contradiction also makes people skeptical about trying Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse.

There is inulin in Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse, which is actually a type of dietary fiber. It feeds the healthy bacteria in your gut and helps by reducing constipation and suppressing appetite. With suppressed appetite, you are less likely to worry about overeating, which may help with weight loss. However, it really does nothing to improve liver function or support detoxification. Moreover, there are ingredients adding antioxidants to the blend, but again, you will not find sufficient scientific evidence suggesting that antioxidants from supplements can help improve your health. You will be better off eating whole food to get more fiber, and increasing your intake of antioxidants.

Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse Concerns:

  • Ineffective ingredients
  • Proprietary blend
  • Possible side effects
  • Not effective for weight loss
  • Quite expensive

A supplement like Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse is not going to work a lot, because it does not contain scientifically proven ingredients. In fact, you need to bear in mind that studies do not support the idea of colon cleanse or liver cleanse. Your body has a built-in mechanism to deal with toxins, and you really do not have to do anything other than following a clean diet and maintaining an active lifestyle.

What Does Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse Claim To Do?

Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse claims to rid your body of toxins and improve your overall health. Here are some of its claimed benefits:

  • Improves your immune system
  • Increases your metabolism
  • Boosts liver function
  • Helps you lose weight effectively
  • Protects you from infections
  • Improves your digestive health

Does Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse Work?

Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse helps eliminate toxins from your body and relieve inflammation with the help of antioxidants. While its antioxidant content may help improve your health a little, it is not going to ‘detoxify’ your system. Most of the ingredients in Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse do nothing to promote better liver function. Milk thistle, for instance, has a mild laxative effect on your system and does nothing to support the function of your liver. The same is the case with astragalus, senna, slippery elm, chlorella, and rhubarb. It contains inulin that may improve your digestion a little, but do not expect anything out of the ordinary here. It is better to follow a clean diet to ensure that you do not put much strain on your liver in the first place. Do not rely on Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse, as it is not going to do much in terms of detoxification.

What Are The Ingredients of Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse?

Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse contains a number of ingredients, but the biggest issue is that it contains a proprietary blend. Therefore, it is not possible to tell if you are really going to get enough of each ingredient or not. Moreover, most of the ingredients are mild laxatives, so they are not going to help improve your liver function. Serving size is equal to 1 fl. oz./30 mL (1 packet).

Does Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse Have Any Side Effects?

Arbonne 7 Day Body Cleanse can cause several side effects because it contains a long list of ingredients. Most of the ingredients have laxative effects, so it is possible to develop diarrhea, gas, bloating, and other digestive problems. You need to keep in mind that ingredients like milk thistle and slippery elm can cause diarrhea, and lead to dehydration. You are also at an increased risk of potassium deficiency when trying to detoxify your body with laxatives. Some of its ingredients increase the levels of oxalates in the body, which can directly affect your liver function and kidneys. Since it uses a proprietary blend, nothing much can be said about the safety of other ingredients. You should avoid it if you have any preexisting conditions.
