FitTeam Fit

FitTeam Fit is a diet supplement, manufactured by FitTeam Global, that comes in the form of a dissolvable powder that is mixed into a drink. It is not clear how effective it is without being paired with an unsustainable very low-calorie diet, and it is expensive for long-term use. Furthermore, as no ingredient quantities are provided, it is not possible to establish just how likely it is that any side effects may occur.

  • May have a stimulant effect
  • May help support weight loss especially if you believe

  • No evidence it will work as described
  • Looks like a novelty product designed to rival the Plexus Pink drink
  • May cause side effects
  • Contains grapefruit, so not suitable for anyone who is taking prescription medication
FitTeam Fit Sticks
FitTeam Fit is a drinkable weight loss supplement. It is packaged in individual serving sticks that you just add to water and drink daily and according to the advertising, it can give you life-changing results in just five days.

This supplement has been updated since we last covered it so is this revamped FitTeam Fit worth a try?

FitTeam Fit Overview

What you need to know about FitTeam Fit

FitTeam Fit is a drink supplement similar to the better known Plexus Pink Drink sold by rival MLM company, Plexus. Although FitTeam Fit has recently undergone changes to packaging and the ingredients profile, there is not much difference to the earlier version of this supplement.

The most noticeable difference is that the 30 sticks are now packaged in a resealable bag rather than a box, and there have been a couple of minor alterations to the ingredients profile. These changes probably will not make too much difference – this drink supplement is not overly strong anyway and the principle effects are likely to be caused by the caffeine.

Be aware that this drink is not suitable for anyone who may be taking prescription medication and has been told to avoid grapefruit.

What are the side effects of FitTeam Fit?

FitTeam Fit contains grapefruit seed extract, so if you are taking prescription medication or have ever been told to avoid grapefruit, this supplement will not be suitable. Grapefruit cause interactions with most prescription medication, so you must check with your pharmacist before use or you could find that your medication is made ineffective.

Other side effects may include itchiness and facial flushing due to taking extra vitamin B3. However, the principle adverse effects are most likely related to the caffeine and the Citrus Aurentium and may include jitteriness, headaches, increase in pulse rate, increase in blood pressure, and difficulty in sleeping.

Other side effects may include abdominal cramps, nausea, dizziness, and diarrhoea.

How much does FitTeam Fit cost?

FitTeam Fit is expensive. You can buy from the Global FitTeam website by paying the company $14.99 to qualify for wholesale prices. We were unable to see these discounts but you can also buy 30 sticks of FitTeam Fit directly from the site as an ordinary customer for a whopping $66.99.

We have seen the same product advertised on eBay from various sellers for $24.50 plus shipping.

It is also on sale via Amazon for $75.95 for 30 sticks.

FitTeam Fit Key Features

Most MLM companies have a flagship product. With Plexus it is the Pink Drink, also known as Plexus Slim, a weight loss drink with supposed miraculous powers and legions of fans.

There is also Shakeology from Beachbody LLC, and countless others on the market too.

FitTeam Fit is the flagship product from Global FitTeam. It comes packaged in individual sticks that you just add to water and drink. According to the product advertising, the drink is a natural energy and wellness beverage that combines the natural fat burning power of Green Tea, Grapefruit Seed, and Garcinia Cambogia, with the benefits of several additional organic ingredients. Check out the ingredients tab to find out more.

FitTeam Fit Key Points

  • 30 sticks packaged in a resealable bag
  • Contains grapefruit seed extract
  • Sign up to the Global FitTeam website and you can sell this supplement yourself!

These days, the sticks are packaged in a bag (containing 30) and displaying a picture of a pink drink on the glossy cover. Previously, the sticks were packaged in a blue and white box which is still available from some sources, however very few changes were made to the ingredients and also the packaging.

How to Take FitTeam Fit

  • Break open the stick; add to water or your liquid of choice and drink.

FitTeam Global LLC is based in Florida. The company was formed in 2014 by Christopher Hummel and the company sponsors local sporting associations, such as the Palm Beaches Marathon and two major league baseball teams (Houston Astros and Washington Nationals).

The company ethos is all about getting fit and healthy combined with an opportunity to make some money via the Brand Partner Program, aka the network marketing program. FitTeam Global has all the usual rewards and compensation levels and at $24.99 Annual Brand Partnership Membership fee, does not seem as costly as similar schemes. You can also sign up as a preferred customer for $14.99 to get what is described as wholesale prices.

FitTeam Fit Concerns:

  • Inadequate ingredients profile
  • The drink may not be suitable for some users, yet there is no health information or directions provided
  • Over-inflated price. People may buy this in the belief it is good for health, yet it looks like an expensive waste of money

Many people enjoy the challenge of MLM and the chance to run a home business. Most of the successful FitTeam Global partners seem to have affiliate websites rather than looking to sell directly to family and friends. This means there are a lot of affiliate websites out there, so it is a very competitive market.

What does FitTeam Fit claim to do?

According to the advertising, “Your first step to weight loss and health doesn’t get any simpler than this.”

It continues,

If you’re tired of starving yourself, using the gym, or dealing with complex systems — you’ve come to the right place. If you’re afraid of having to go through surgery or have some other unnatural procedure performed on you — you’ve come to the right place.

According to the product information,

Using a laboratory tested and perfected formula and produced in an FDA approved facility, FITTEAM FIT, is nothing short of revolutionary.

The advertising claims to be popular with many customers,

Cited by many to be one of the easiest weight loss solutions on the market that actually works — all you have to do is tear open a pouch and poor the FIT powder into water or your choice of drink and drink it. No strenuous exercise, no restricted diets, and no surgeries — the product begins to work almost instantly.

There are numerous before and after pictures of so-called happy customers and of course, these all look impressive. You can also improve your weight loss results by dieting and exercise and the supplement comes with a free diet and exercise plan.

Of course, if you want to achieve results faster, we encourage you to exercise and watch what you eat, that’s why we’ve included an optional meal and exercise plan for free on our site under resources.

Does FitTeam Fit work?

Despite all the hype, FitTeam Fit looks to be a pretty ordinary supplement. It contains unknown quantities of ingredients, which are unlikely to be overly strong or even very effective. That said, the green tea/caffeine combo may help increase energy levels, so you may find that it provides some weight loss support to your own efforts and make you feel more alert.

One thing is for sure. Taking this drink is not going to make you lose weight within 5 days, especially if you do not change your diet or activity levels. Of course, if you like the flavour and believe in it the placebo effect you may find it helps but judging by the contents most of the effects will be imaginary.

You should be extremely cautious about taking FitTeam Fit if you are taking prescription medication because the grapefruit content may cause drug interactions – it reacts with over 85 different medicines, so this is a real risk.

FitTeam Fit Ingredients

Serving size is equal to the contents of one stick added to water.

Fit Proprietary Blend (580mg): Because all the ingredients are combined in this blend, it is impossible to know the full strength of the individual components. However, with 9 ingredients sharing just 580 mg, it seems unlikely to be very strong.

  • Green Tea Powder: Green tea is undoubtedly healthy. This tea undergoes far less processing than the black tea we drink in the West and so retains more antioxidants. According to research, a couple of these (ECGC epigallocatechin-3-gallate and polyphenols) may have anti-obesity and fat burning properties by increasing the speed of the metabolism.
  • Caffeine Anhydrous: Strong type of refined caffeine often used in supplements. It can be much stronger than the caffeine present in coffee, but strength here is unknown. Caffeine pairs well with green tea and improves the metabolism boosting effects than either ingredient used alone.
  • L Theanine: This is an amino acid present in tea, and is probably here as part of the green tea content rather than added to the mix. L Theanine affects the brain waves causing the calming, yet energizing effects of an ordinary cup of tea.
  • Garcinia Cambogia: Test tube and animal research suggest that HCA, the active compound in Garcinia Cambogia, may be helpful in weight loss because of its effects on metabolism. Whilst some studies have found it has no effect upon either appetite or metabolic rate, others showed increased weight loss compared to the use of a placebo. The conclusion was that it requires further clinical testing to prove the claims one way or another. Source
  • Cayenne Pepper extract: Chilli peppers create a hot sensation may help the body burn off additional calories for around half an hour after taking. However, it does not seem to work as well in supplement form and can cause side effects such as heartburn.
  • 5 HTP (Griffonia Simplicifolia seeds): This compound is present in the body where it is converted from an amino acid called tryptophan into serotonin, the brain’s feel-good chemical. 5 HTP is derived from a plant extract called Griffonia and may have an effect upon mood if taken in sufficient quantities. A typical dose is between 300mg and 500mg, so amounts here are probably inadequate. Source
  • Grapefruit Seed Extract: This is made from grinding the seeds, pulp, and white membranes of grapefruit together, and then mixing it with glycerin. Supplement manufacturers claim the GSE is effective for a range of health effects, but there is zero evidence that it is. Grapefruit contains phytochemicals that react with many prescription drugs, so you should not take this supplement if you are on medication or have ever been told to avoid grapefruit. Source
  • Citrus Aurantium: Also known as bitter orange peel, Citrus Aurantium contains a chemical called synephrine which has been proven to increase the metabolism and so may aid weight loss. However, there are numerous concerns about its safety, especially as it increases heart rate and blood pressure if taken in high amounts. Source
  • Blueberry: As with all berries, blueberries are high in antioxidants and are very good for health, especially when eaten as part of a regular diet.

Other Ingredients:

  • Niacin (20mg): Vitamin B3 is important for energy and the nervous system, and is easily obtainable by diet as it is present in meat, fish, eggs, wheat, and milk. The RDA is 16.5 mg for men and 13.2mg for women. Too much Niacin can cause skin redness and facial flushing. Source
  • Vitamin B12 (300 mcg): Vitamin B12 is naturally present in many foods, primarily meat, fish, and dairy products. It has several roles, including aiding the release of energy from consumed food and keeping the nervous system healthy. B12 deficiency may hinder weight loss, but taking excess amounts could be potentially harmful too. According to the NHS, healthy adults need only around 1.5mcg per day, but up to 2000mcg is unlikely to be harmful. Source
  • Sodium (30mg): The body needs sodium, but most of us have far too much in our diet from overdoing the table salt or consuming too many processed meals. Most people are looking to reduce sodium levels rather than raise them, so this is here probably to add to flavour rather than any perceived health benefits.

FitTeam Fit Side Effects

The most worrying aspect of this supplement is the grapefruit seed extract because this will cause interactions with most ordinary prescription medication, up to 85 different drugs at the last count. This means that you must check with your pharmacist before use, or you could find that your medication is made ineffective.

Other side effects may include itchiness and facial flushing due to taking extra vitamin B3. However, the principle adverse effects are most likely related to the caffeine and the citrus Aurentium, and may include:

  • Jitteriness
  • Headaches
  • Increased pulse
  • Increase in blood pressure
  • Difficulty in sleeping

Some people have found that garcinia cambogia can cause:

  • Abdominal cramps
  • Nausea
  • Dizziness
  • Diarrhoea

Not suitable for individuals under 18. Avoid if you are pregnant or breast feeding. Check with your physician or pharmacist before use if you are taking prescription medication or have an underlying medical condition.

FitTeam Fit Customer Feedback

There are customer reviews for FitTeam Fit, but it is hard to gauge real effects because some reviews were left for the earlier product.

This review seems to originate from someone who has a close link to the drink.

I love my FIT! I lost 35 pounds and many inches using this product, I love the extra energy. Taste delicious and the meal plan is simple and base on real food.

There are countless positive reviews for the drink on social media such as Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest, but most of these are left by people who are trying to sell it!

I recommend that other people try this amazing product and see how it helps them with everything, especially energy and weight loss. Honestly, I feel so much better and have so much more energy after drinking it twice a day.

This product has been my life saver!! I can’t recommend it enough. I want all my friends and family on it so that they too can benefit from it. Thankful for fitteam global coming into my life when it did.

FitTeam Fit Money-Back Guarantee

You may find you can claim a guarantee, but it will depend upon where you buy it. However, as a general rule, no. You are not covered by a money-back guarantee.

Where To Buy FitTeam Fit

Customers can purchase the product direct from the FitTeam Global website. There are numerous purchase options available. A preferred customer membership is available, costing $14.99 per year, which gives customers access to wholesale prices. For one-time buyers, we recommend looking around, as there are many offers available, with a variety of pricing options.

There are countless affiliate websites operated by people operating under the FitTeam Brand Partner Program where you can buy the supplement. It is also on sale via eBay and Amazon, so you can shop around for the price.

Watchdog Verdict

FitTeam Fit looks like an overpriced gimmick which is unlikely to do much for your health, your weight loss, or your pocket. The only reason it is well known online is because it is sold via Network Marketing from a variety of affiliate websites, all run by people who have signed up to FitTeam Global Brand Partner Program. Despite changes to the packaging and the ingredients profile, there seems to be very little difference between the newer version and the earlier product.

In our opinion, this supplement is not really worth trying but if you do want to see what all the fuss is about, eBay is probably your best bet. Who knows? Sometimes a placebo combined with caffeine can actually help weight loss, but we would not recommend that you spend good money on finding out.

We do not recommend FitTeam Fit to the Watchdog readers.
