Flexatarian Flex Keto

Ketogenic diets have become increasingly popular in recent years, with the rise of the Atkins diet. It is, basically, a low-carb diet, which forces your body into a state of ketosis. When this happens, our body produces ketones, which are produced from the breakdown of fats in the liver. Instead of using glucose to fuel your body, it uses excess fat stored within the body, which leads to weight loss. Flexatarian Flex Keto claims that it will give users clean, long-lasting energy, whilst supporting them on their ketogenic diet.

In this review, we look at the Flexatarian Flex Keto in more detail to see whether it is worth spending your hard earned cash on, or if there are better supplements out there for you. Let’s take a look!

Flexatarian Flex Keto Overview

What You Need To Know About Flexatarian Flex Keto

Flexatarian Flex Keto Concentrate is a once-a-day powder supplement which is claimed to provide long-lasting energy and mental clarity, while aiding the weight-loss associated with a ketogenic diet. L-Carnitine has been added to help accelerate fat loss and boost endurance, and there are a range of vitamins to increase immune health, mental function, and to improve mood.

It is made by Flexatarian, a US based company.

What Are The Side Effects Of Flexatarian Flex Keto?

Whilst we don’t think that this supplement will cause any side effects, it may help to deepen the state of ketosis or help you enter it faster, which does have its own side effects. These include loss of salts, keto-flu, bad breath, changes in bowel habits, leg cramps, and loss of energy. Taking this supplement may actually help with some of these symptoms.

How Much Does Flexatarian Flex Keto Cost?

Flexatarian Flex Keto costs $30.31, with free shipping on Amazon if purchased as part of the “subscribe and save” program. If bought as a one-off purchase, Flexatarian Flex Keto costs $31.90. This is for 15 servings, which makes it a relatively expensive weight loss supplement,

Our Verdict On Flexatarian Flex Keto

As far as supplements go, this isn’t bad. The company manufacturing the product, Flexatarian, seem above board and legit, with a 100% satisfaction guarantee through Amazon. Their website is slick and professional, although we don’t really understand why they don’t sell it themselves.

In terms of the product itself – it’s jam-packed with nutrients and vitamins, to replace those that you might be missing if you are following a keto diet. By making sure your body has everything it needs, it’s going to work harder, burn more fat, and give you more energy. The dosages seem pretty good going as well – nothing too weak or underdosed.

However, there are plenty of ingredients in there that just aren’t needed, for example, Vitamin B and Vitamin D6. People following a keto diet generally aren’t lacking in these. Whilst it won’t do them any harm, it’s a little bit pointless and seems like an unnecessary filler. This is even more galling considering the product is on the more expensive side.

Taking this into account, we do not recommend the Flexitarian Flex Keto to our readers.

Flexatarian Flex Keto Concerns:

  • We don’t, at the moment, have any concerns about Flexatarian

What Does Flexatarian Flex Keto Claim To Do?

Flexatarian claim that their product, Flex Keto, “gives you clean, long-lasting energy while supporting you on your ketogenic diet. It contains a patented blend of exogenous ketones (goBHB) that increases endurance, aid in fat loss, and improve mental focus. The beta-hydroxybutyrate blend will help you get, and stay in ketosis”.

Does Flexatarian Flex Keto Work?

If you are following a strict ketogenic diet, then we think that yes, this will probably give you a bit of hand in staying in ketosis, and making sure you have all the important nutrients and electrolytes that you need. There are some ingredients in here that probably aren’t necessary, but they certainly won’t do you any harm.

It is, however, important to note that unless you are following a no carbs or low carb diet, the supplement will do absolutely nothing for you, other than give you an extra dose of (probably not needed!) vitamins.

What Are The Ingredients of Flexatarian Flex Keto?

Please note that the quantities of each ingredient are correct for each individual serving of Flexatarian Flex Keto

  • Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) (600 mg): The best source of Vitamin C is the citrus fruit, which is a big no-no on the ketogenic diet, as well as red peppers, spinach, cauliflower. Vitamin C is not particularly abundant in animal products, so a keto dieter who has a low vegetable intake may be deficient in Vitamin C, making it a good ingredient in the supplement.
  • Vitamin D (cholecalciferol) (125 mcg): The recommended daily allowance of Vitamin D is 15 mcg, but experts believe it should be at least four times that for optimum bone, endocrine and organ health. This supplement contains more than 8 times the RDA. However, it is important to note that people following a Keto diet are not usually lacking in this vitamin, and are actually better off than people not following the diet. This is because plant sources are generally devoid in Vitamin D. We are not really sure why such a high amount of this is in this supplement.
  • Vitamin K (phytonadione) (600 mcg): The highest concentrations of Vitamin K are in vegetables, specifically greens such as kale, spinach, and cabbage. Many people following a keto diet are lacking in this, although beef and chicken do contain it as well.
  • Vitamin B6 (pyridoxal S-phosphate) (5 mg): Vitamin B6 is a water-soluble vitamin, which means the body can’t store it so it needs to be a regular part of your diet. Deficiencies are rare in keto diets as vegetables, fruit, grains, beans and meat all contain B6.
  • Vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin) (100 mcg): This is also a vitamin which is not usually lacking in keto diets to it being found in a variety of foods.
  • Calcium (1080 mg): Whilst calcium is generally not lacking in a keto diet, it may need to be increased, as the diet can flush the body of electrolytes, causing cramping.
  • Magnesium (69 mg): Small amounts of magnesium are found in meat and seafood, so again, a keto follower shouldn’t really be lacking. However, like calcium, it may need to be increased due to the decrease in electrolytes.
  • Selenium (as selenium citrate) (100 mcg): Most foods high in selenium are predominantly animal products, so we are unsure why this ingredient is included.
  • Potassium (as potassium chloride (100 mg): Potassium is found in high concentrations in meats, dairy, many keto-friendly vegetables, avocado, beans, and seafood. However, this nutrient may need to be increased during adaptation to a ketogenic diet, as the diet can flush the body of electrolytes, causing cramping.
  • Sodium (844 mg): Sodium is the main component of salt and is generally not lacking in any diet in the Western world. However, much like the other electrolytes, sodium can be expelled due to the diuretic effect of ketogenic diet adaptation and may need to be increased during this time.
  • Beta-hydroxybutyrate Blend (12 g)
  • Calcium beta-hydroxybutyrate (as goBHB) (6.51 g): Supplementing with CaBHB can rapidly induce ketosis and can be used to accelerate the transition period between a consumer’s “normal” diet and the ketogenic diet or induce a deeper state of ketogenesis for those who have already adapted. It can also reduce ‘keto-flu’ for those new to the diet.
  • Sodium beta-hydroxybutyrate (as goBHB) (4.66 g): As above
  • Magnesium beta-hydroxybutyrate (as goBHB) (0.28 g): As above
  • L-Carnitine L-Tartrate (500 mg): This has the ability to shuttle fatty acids across cell membranes to be oxidized by mitochondria.

Are There Any Customer Reviews For Flexatarian Flex Keto?

There are 24 customer reviews on Amazon for the Flexatarian Flex Keto, with an average rating of 4 stars.

Positive reviews include:

This drink tastes great and has a great mix of ingredients, whether you’re on the Keto diet or not. If you’re expecting this to put you into Ketosis, it’s not going to happen. I don’t think any single product can do that alone. It will, however, give you some of the essentials you need to not feel like you have the flu when you go on the diet. It definitely provides an energy boost before workouts or at the beginning of your day. The taste is really good, especially considering this is a Keto diet drink. Word to the wise, however. If you’ve never taken a supplement like this, start out with half a scoop and work your way up to a full scoop. Otherwise you may get some unpleasant side effects (like being in the bathroom all day and becoming very familiar with the tile and walls). Overall, however, this is a great drink whether you’re on the Keto diet or are just looking for an energy push,

Critical comments tend to mention the taste being too sweet and include ones such as:

I’m a fan of chocolate and vanilla shakes but thought to give this a go. Not for me sadly. Too artificially flavored for me. I’m sure that a lot of people enjoy this but it reminds me of fake sweetener Joyce powders yiu put in water bottles and I can’t stand those either. Just my opinion
