Green Tea TX100

Green Tea TX100 makes a long list of diet and health claims, but only one of the ingredients will really be effective. For what is essentially a green tea supplement, Green Tea TX100 is very expensive, and there is no money-back guarantee to protect you if it doesn’t work for you or if you don’t like the product. This makes Green Tea TX100 a bit of a risk in our opinion.

Pros

  • Green tea clinically proven to aid weight loss

Cons

  • Only one ingredient aids weight loss
  • No money-back guarantee
  • No returns accepted
Green Tea TX100
Green Tea is an incredibly popular product to use in weight loss aids, thanks to the huge amount of clinical support that shows it can aid weight loss and benefit general health. Green Tea TX100 combines green tea with vitamin C and Lactobacillus acidophilus, claiming that it can benefit weight loss and general health in many ways.

We take an in-depth look to see just how effective Green Tea TX100 is as a weight loss aid.

Green Tea TX100 Overview

What you need to know about Green Tea TX100

The only ingredient used in this diet pill that will have any effect upon weight loss is green tea. The catechins naturally present in green tea increase thermogenesis in the body, which burns more calories as the body creates heat. The caffeine that is also naturally occurring in green tea stimulates the central nervous system, increasing the metabolism mildly for a few hours after consumption.

Higher doses of catechins have a greater impact upon weight loss. One study found that participants who drank beverages high in catechins extracted from green tea (690 mg/d) lost significantly more weight and body fat than those who drank beverages low in catechins (22 mg/d).

Caffeine will also increase energy levels and will act as a mild diuretic, increasing the consumer’s urine output.

What are the side effects of Green Tea TX100?

Green Tea TX100 Ingredients

The ingredients used in Green Tea TX100 are listed below. The ingredient quantities provided are per 3g sachet serving. Consumers are instructed to take two sachets per day.

  • Camellia Sinensis (green tea) leaf extract equivalent to dry weight: 12.5g: Green tea is high in a group of antioxidants called catechins. Studies have suggested that catechins and caffeine both increase energy expenditure by boosting the metabolism slightly for a few hours.

  • Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) 300 mg: The RDA for vitamin C is 90 mg for men, and 75 mg for women. Whilst it is a very useful vitamin for general health, there is no link between vitamin c and weight loss.
    Source:https://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/002404.htm
  • Lactobacillus acidophilus (3 billion cfu’s): This is a bacteria that is naturally present in the upper gastrointestinal tract. When used orally, it is thought to treat irritable bowel syndrome and diarrhoea, although there is little evidence for either use.Lactobacillus acidophilus may work by helping the body maintain normal consistency of bacteria in the stomach and intestines.

Green Tea TX100 Side Effects

The recommended daily dose of Green Tea TX100 (2 x 3 gram sachets) contains 100 mg of caffeine. The side effects of caffeine can include headaches, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, heart palpitations, increased urination, dehydration, jitteriness, dizziness and insomnia. Green tea can also cause constipation.

Lactobacillus acidophilus can cause side effects such as gas and bloating. Whilst these side effects are mild, they can be embarrassing.

Whilst consumers can develop side effects from having a vitamin C deficiency, taking large doses can also cause some side effects. Consumers using this product should take care, especially if they are already taking a vitamin C supplement or multivitamin. Side effects from taking large doses of vitamin C include nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach cramps, headache, although these are very rare when taking doses lower than 2000 mg per day. Two sachets (the daily serving of Green Tea TX100) contains 600 mg of vitamin C. Vitamin C may also increase blood sugar levels, and so diabetics should consult their doctor before taking large doses in supplements.

Caution:

Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Not suitable for those under the age of 18.
Not suitable for anyone who is sensitive to caffeine.
Discontinue use if you experience any unpleasant side effects whilst taking this product.

Green Tea TX100 Customer Feedback

Whilst there are no customer reviews for Green Tea TX100 on the official sales website, there are customer reviews available elsewhere on the internet.

I got the berry flavor, so far so good. Taste like cordial and it doesn’t make you hungry. I’m trying on one week detox. lets see how I go

I am a user of green tea x50 and was quite happy with that until the slick salesman at my local supplement store talked me into buying body sciences ripoff of the x50, aptly called tx100.

If this isn’t the worst tasting product on the market I don’t know what is. The piddly little puff of tea that fell out of the sachet clearly shows that there is not 100 cups of tea in it, merely slick market ing! 100 cups of tea is a joke! it tasted like sugar.

I also noted that there is no nutritional panel and when I called the bsc office to ask what ingredients were in it they wouldn’t tell me as it was their ‘intellectual property’. This is the most misleading product I have come across, so much so that I registered to make this review on product review.

To not tell consumers whats in a product in this day and age is outrageous, what are they hiding. I will be going back to x50 as at least I know what I am getting! And they haven’t tried to hide behind slick marketing. Poor effort BSC. And I wont be going back to my ‘former’ local store!

Highly suspect reviewer above may have an agenda haha 🙂 I don’t think it tastes any worse, although the limit in flavours isn’t great as I really want the X50 Pina Colada flavour. What I like about this one is the probiotics though, that makes a difference.

I love this stuff. My PT recommended and since I have been using I have noticed increased energy, less bloating and my weight has been moving faster than had been previous I am telling everybody about it

Watchdog Verdict

With no returns accepted at all by Body Science, and a very expensive product, customers are taking a huge risk on what is essentially a green tea supplement. Customers who are interested in this product would probably be able to buy the individual ingredients separately at a much better value.

There is no information about the quantity of catechins present in this product; only that each sachet contains the ‘equivalent’ of 12.5 grams of green tea, and 50 mg of caffeine.

Green tea is the only active weight loss ingredient used in Green Tea TX100. The other two ingredients, vitamin C and Lactobacillus acidophilus, could improve general health, but will not aid weight loss at all. Green tea is clinically proven in numerous studies, but it is still considered to have a ‘small but significant’ effect; customers should not expect fast or dramatic weight loss from this product. It is also unlikely to have any benefits over taking a high quality green tea capsule that has a high catechins content.

The huge price tag, as well as the limited ingredients list, featuring only one actual weight loss inducing ingredient, means that we cannot recommend Green Tea TX100 to our readers. Customers are better off either drinking green tea, or taking a green tea supplement.
