We take a look at HCG Nano Drops to find out more.
Healthy HCG Nano diet Drops are designed for use with the HCG protocol. If you have not heard of this before, it is a weight loss method that was devised by British endocrinologist (hormone specialist) Albert T Simeons back in the 1950s.
Simeons believed that taking Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) a hormone that kicks in during pregnancy and found in the urine of pregnant women, would cure obesity. He stated that when HCG was taken as drops and combined with a very low calorie diet, it would cause weight loss.
In 1954, he published a book about this called Pounds and Inches where he advocated the use of the hormone in combination with an ultra low calorie diet. It became very popular and remains so.
Despite the blindingly obvious fact that if you take a very low calorie diet (VLCD) of around 500 calories a day for a period of time, you will probably lose weight, the HCG Protocol has attracted a lot of supporters.
Dr Simeons’s Protocol has been resurrected from time to time over the years and still remains popular. Key to the protocol is the practice of supporting your VLCD with diet drops containing the vital HCG hormone.
See our previous investigation about diet drops and low calorie diets.
Healthy HCG Nano Drops looks to be a typical Diet Drops supplement. It does not contain hormones extracted from the urine of pregnant women (none of so-called HCG diet drops actually contain this). Instead, it is a homeopathic product, which has apparently undergone strict ‘provings for effectiveness.’
The ingredients list is not provided. However, HCG Nano Drops comes with a full kit of products to help your weight loss:
None of this looks very impressive. Much of the information is repeated in various formats – the fridge magnet, the wallet card for example and it all seems slightly out of date and old fashioned, although it will appeal to some. However, there is not a provided app for your iphone or tablet for example and describing a tape measure as a measuring device does not make a fabric tape measure seem more exciting.
According to the company information, Healthy HCG is a family owned company that was founded in 2009 by registered nurse Milt Rose in an attempt to help people combat obesity.
A self-proclaimed homeopathy sceptic, apparently he changed his opinion when he saw the HCG Protocol working to help people lose weight. This led him to found his own business based on diet drops and this weight loss plan.
What the advertising does not provide are any clues about the contents of the drops!
There are no directions about how and when to take HGC Nano Drops. The idea is that you buy and follow the Protocol outlined in the guide.
HCG Nano Drops comes with some suitably scientific sounding explanations.
The drops are “Formulated Using Nanopharmacological Science” and according to the advertising, HCG Nano Drops are,
The Only OTC (Non-Prescription) Product Designed Specifically to Follow Dr. Simeons “Signs and Symptoms” Approach to Weight Loss (the Symptomatic Theory).
Most diet drop companies claim the same thing. The explanation continues.
100% HPUS Compliant and Processed According to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in an FDA-Registered Lab
HPUS is the Homeopathic Pharmacopeia of the United States – the official directory of ingredients. This claim would have made more sense had Healthy HCG included the names of the ingredients contained in the Nano Drops.
HCG Nano Drops are diet drops that are supposed to support Dr Simeons’s Protocol – an intensive weight loss method. The advertising does not state what the ingredients are, but in truth, it probably does not matter too much. In many cases so called homeopathic cures are no more than sugared water, plus some strong belief.
Homeopathy requires that you take tiny amounts of a heavily diluted substance so that the body can heal itself. The medical opinion is that homeopathic remedies perform no better than placebos and that the practice is ‘scientifically implausible’.
Although it has its supporters, the evidence for homeopathy is flimsy. Back in 2010, there was a protest staged by campaign group 10.23, which saw hundreds of people gather together to “overdose” on homeopathic cures. Protesters drank entire bottle of homeopathic cures without suffering any effects at all.
In addition, the key to Dr Simeons’s Protocol is the Human hormone HCG, an ingredient that is lacking from this supplement.
Do not expect HCG Nano Diet Drops to do anything at all. However if you follow the Simeons Protocol you will probably lose weight. This plan requires you to stick to a very low calorie diet – usually in the region of 500 calories a day, so you cannot really fail.
Obviously if you do follow a calorie-controlled diet, you will lose weight but we cannot see why should need this supplement to support it.
HCG Nano Diet Drops will not help you lose weight. However, you may enjoy the fridge magnet and the tape measure and in all honesty, these trinkets will probably be more effective than the supplement.
No. HCG Nano Diet Drops will not have any effect at all. However if you keep to the very low calorie diet, you will probably experience side effects.
Ask your doctor for advice before you decide to go on a very low calorie diet.
Do not undertake if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or suffering from an underlying medical condition.
We were unable to find any independent customer reviews, but the HCG Nano Diet Drops website has numerous positive customer testimonials.
One customer reported,
I am sleeping better at night, have more energy during the day … I lost 13 inches and my friends have noticed.
We were pleased to see that the free tape measure came in handy for this reviewer.
Another customer apparently did not even go on a diet and still lost weight,
Couldn’t be happier…and just so you know, I don’t count the calories…I eat what I want…I just take the drops…they make me eat a lot less and I walk an hour a day…hey …it works for me…best diet product ever!
I would recommend this program because it works! I have been on other diets, with this program you see results in the first few days — incredible. Using Nano Diet Drops, I lost the first 9 lbs in a week!
These customer testimonials are positive and heart warming but we have been unable to find similar comments away from the HCG Nano Diet Drops website.
No. We don’t think it works. There is just no evidence that this supplement will do anything to support your weight loss. In addition, it will be hard work because following the very low calorie diet is not going to be easy.
The FDA has warned customers against buying so-called HCG products for weight loss. They explain,
Many HCG products are marketed to be taken in connection with a very low calorie diet — it’s the decrease in calories that accounts for any weight loss.
There are currently no FDA-approved HCG products designed to help you lose weight. FDA and the Federal Trade Commission have jointly issued warning letters to companies illegally marketing over-the-counter HCG products labelled for weight loss.

Despite the fact that we do not support Homeopathy or believe in the Simeons’s Protocol, Healthy HCG seems unlikely to trick you into auto billing or scams.
The founder seems sincere – we always like a family business and the company is offering a good guarantee that looks as if it may protect you. If it really is a genuine as it appears, it is one of the best we have ever seen.
The downside is that we cannot find anyone who has actually used the guarantee so we cannot say for sure whether it will be as easy at it sounds to get your money back.
Away from the product website, it is impossible to find any customer feedback, which is also a matter for concern. In addition, what is actually contained in these diet drops?
The lack of ingredients information is not impressive. Even homeopathic remedies should explain about the contents and this information is sadly lacking. It is possible like so many other diet drops; it contains nothing other than sugared water.
The Simeon Protocol may help you lose weight but it will not be easy. You really cannot count on support from the Nano drops, especially given the real lack of product information.
We cannot recommend Healthy HCG Nano Drops. There is zero evidence to prove that homeopathy works and losing vast amounts of weight by following a very low calorie diet is hardly rocket science or likely to lead to long term weight loss. It is an easy decision. We have no other option but to reject HCG Nano Drops.
