Innermost The Fit Plus Overview

What You Need To Know About Innermost The Fit Plus

Innermost The Fit Plus is a pre-workout supplement in powder form that you add to water in order to make a pineapple flavoured drink. Each sachet contains enough for 30 servings so this supplement compares well on price with the average energy drink, although it is highly unlikely to contain as much caffeine as an energy drink so probably will not feel as strong.

The Fit Plus might help increase endurance and energy which will speed up your muscle building, and the inclusion of Maca root is supposed to boost sex drive. That said most of the claims about Maca have been based on animal testing, so it might not work on humans.

As a pre-workout supplement, it looks reasonable enough. The BCAA content is sufficient to work and although the other ingredients are slightly underpowered, the good news is that side effects are unlikely to be an issue.

What Are The Side Effects Of Innermost The Fit Plus?

Potential side effects to the caffeine content may include jitteriness, increased anxiety, insomnia, headaches, and rapid heartbeat.

At high doses, Beta Alanine may cause a tingling sensation and flushing to skin although if you take this supplement as directed this should not be an issue.

Branched Chain Amino Acids can cause stomach upset, nausea, bloating, loss of coordination, and fatigue.

Maca root can have a hormonal effect. It contains plant oestrogens that may act like oestrogen in the body, so you should avoid it if you have or have had a hormonally related medical condition such as breast cancer.

How Much Does Innermost The Fit Plus Cost?

Innermost The Fit Plus is reasonably priced. It is packaged in 300g pouches of powder which is sufficient for 30 servings and if you buy from the Innermost website, it costs £24.95.

Standard UK delivery (excluding Northern Ireland) is £4.95.

US customers can buy for $34.95 but shipping charges are not provided.

If you sign up to the Inner Circle – the company’s newsletter, you receive a 10% reduction off your first order.

You can also buy Innermost The Fit Plus via Amazon UK for £24.95 (free shipping with Prime).

Our Verdict On Innermost The Fit Plus

Innermost The Fit Plus may suit you if you are looking for a pre-workout supplement. It contains a blend of ingredients that may help muscle building and recovery, as well as improve endurance and energy levels. Effects are unlikely to be earth-shattering, but we like that it is not overly strong in stimulants and that the price isn’t bad either.

This supplement could be a good safe choice especially for people new to bodybuilding. The only downsides are that many of the ingredients are on the low side, there is no money-back guarantee and there is zero independent customer feedback.

Overall, Innermost the Fit Plus looks OK but we don’t think it stands out enough to approve it. We do not recommend Innermost The Fit Plus to the Watchdog readers.

Innermost The Fit Plus Key Features

The Fit Plus is a pre-workout supplement in powder form. You simply add it to water in order to make a pineapple flavoured drink, and take before your exercise regime or workout. The idea is that it will enhance your performance, energy levels, and more.

Innermost The Fit Plus Facts

  • Serving size is equal to two teaspoons of powder
  • Only available in pineapple flavour
  • Made in the UK

It contains a blend of caffeine and guarana, a South American bean which also contains caffeine. There are branched chain amino acids (BCAAs), citrulline malate, and beta alanine. All these may have benefits for muscle building, strength, and energy, so it looks to be a fairly effective compound. According to the advertising, the inclusion of the Maca root may boost sex drive too. The Fit Plus also contains a vitamin and mineral blend for added support. Check out the ingredients tab to find out more.

The Fit Plus can be used as a standalone supplement or paired with The Fit One, a protein powder.

How to Take Innermost The Fit Plus

  • Add 10g (two rounded teaspoons) to 300ml of water and shake
  • Take one serving a day either as a pre-workout drink or when you need an energy boost

Innermost is based in London and the address is listed as International House, 64 Nile Street, Shoreditch, London, N1 7SR. This is a block of office addresses, shared by numerous small businesses. There is no customer telephone number provided.

According to research, Innermost is a brand rather than a business name and comes under the company name of XX14 Ltd, founded by Mr Shivraj Singh Bassi. There are no issues associated with the company.

Innermost The Fit Plus Concerns:

  • Why is there no customer feedback available? Does this suggest that Innermost The Fit Plus is unpopular?
  • Does this supplement fall between two stools? It is not quite strong enough in muscle building compounds for a pre-workout supplement, yet not quite high enough in caffeine if you are used to energy drinks
  • Misleading claims that this supplement comes with a money-back guarantee when it is just a standard returns policy

Other Innermost supplements include Innermost The Lean Plus Capsules – a weight loss supplement. There is also a range of protein powders including Innermost the Strong One and Innermost the Fit One.

What Does Innermost The Fit Plus Claim To Do?

According to the advertising, you can drink The Fit Plus before or during your workout and it will help you, “Be Fit. Feel Great.”

It will improve alertness and energy as well as sex drive. Wow!

Pre/intra-workout supplement to improve energy, libido and alertness while reducing fatigue. Supports vitality and endurance. Maximises performance and combats tiredness. Keeps you going on, and on, and on…

According to the product advertising, you can drink it at any time and it is good for you.

To be used morning, day or night, pre-workout, post-workout, or as a healthy snack as part of your daily diet. Supplementing with Innermost products supplies your body with the right micronutrients to help you achieve your goal.

Does Innermost The Fit Plus Work?

Yes, it may have some positive effects although it unlikely to feel as strong as a caffeine and sugar-laden can of energy drink. The BCAA complex and citrulline malate is a well-known combination for bodybuilders, although the citrulline malate content is low.

Maca is touted as an aphrodisiac but whether or not it will work for you is unknown. It has been used for this purpose in its native Peru but research has only been carried out on animals; it did seem effective but it lacks human testing.

Beta alanine may improve athletic performance and endurance but is more usually taken in higher quantities than here. The caffeine content may give you a boost to energy but in unknown quantities, it is impossible to assess the strength of this part of the formula. Finally, the vitamin B complex is always good for general health and energy.

Overall this looks to be a pretty good formula but there are some issues with the strength of the ingredients.

What Are The Ingredients of Innermost The Fit Plus?

One serving size is equal to 2 teaspoons of powder (10mg) added to water.

  • BCAA Complex (5g): Amino acids are not the same as protein. They are components of protein and although all amino acids have a similar structure, they are chemically different. Branched Chain Amino Acids are so called because of the molecular shape. There are three of them; Leucine, Valine, and Isoleucine, and these are especially efficient at creating muscle mass while on a calorie restricted diet. The best ratio of the three is 2: 1:1 with Leucine the principle component as this is the most effective. This is a well known and popular formula which may help supplement diet and benefit a training regime. 5g as here is considered to be the standard serving size.
  • Citrulline Malate (2g): Research suggests that this compound is effective for boosting energy and performance. L Citrulline is an amino acid that is made in the body where it is changed to arginine and also nitric oxide so improves blood flow. Malic acid is an organic compound derived from fruit and helps the body convert food to energy. Citrulline Malate is an effective formula but serving size here is on the low side, because in general it is considered that 6g is optimum.
  • Maca (1.25g): Peruvian plant root extract that is high in amino acids and other nutrients and was used by the Incas as a medicine. It is supposed to boost sex drive, and it may help improve symptoms of the menopause and reduce enlarged prostate as well. However he claims about the aphrodisiac qualities have been based on the results of animal testing rather than humans, and scientists do not yet fully understand how it works. Source
  • Beta Alanine (1.2g): This is a modified version of the amino acid Alanine, which in turn is an amino acid (protein building block) of carnosine. Carnosine is concentrated in the muscles although it is also found in other parts of the body including heart and brain. There is strong evidence that improving carnosine levels via supplement use can help improve athletic performance and endurance. Beta Alanine is often used by bodybuilders but as optimum serving size is between 2- 5 grams daily, one serving of The Fit Plus is probably not enough to be effective. Source
  • Guarana (100mg): According to the product information Guarana is used by people of the Amazon as an elixir of long life, and to improve alertness, mood and performance. This is not surprising because the Guarana bean is a native South American bean which is higher in caffeine than coffee.
  • Caffeine (71mg): The World’s favourite stimulant. Provides a burst of energy that soon wears off but can help weight loss initially. The average cup of coffee contains around 100 mg per serving.
  • Vitamin B Complex: B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9, B12 (all at 100%): B Vitamin Complex (all the B vitamins) and important for general health and energy levels. Amounts not provided, but according to the product information are equal to 100% of the recommended daily allowance.
