Jacked Factory Lean PM is supposed to help you get a good night’s sleep as well as lose weight. While the ingredients included may well help with the sleep aspects, it doesn’t seem to be as effective as a weight-loss aid. There is a lot of good customer feedback on Amazon for Lean PM, but most of it seems to be fabricated. There is a money-back guarantee advertised, but not may details about it.
Lean PM is a weight loss supplement, a stimulant-free fat loss amplifier, and sleep aid, with the idea that you burn fat while you sleep. In addition, the advertising claims you can avoid night time cravings. So, does this popular looking night time diet pill work as described? We take a look at Lean PM to find out more.
Lean PM is a sleep aid combined with a weight loss supplement, and it seems to be popular with customers. However, it seems that a high proportion of the positive reviews left on Amazon are fake, which is both misleading and fraudulent. The supplement itself contains some well-known sleep and relaxation-inducing ingredients, but you may find that it causes side effects such as bad dreams and restlessness, and this will largely depend upon your own physical makeup.
Lean PM is supposed to help you lose weight, but we are struggling to believe this as there is no real evidence that taking EGCG in this form will work as described.
Many customers have reported side effects, and these are all in line with the ingredients profile.
Side effects may include bad dreams, nightmares, inability to fall asleep, feeling wired, grogginess the next morning, upset stomach, nausea, diarrhoea, headaches, restlessness, weakness, jitteriness, and eye pain.
Lean PM is not overly expensive. Buy from the official Jacked Factory website and it costs $29.99 for 60 capsules. You can get an additional 15% discount if you subscribe to the Jacked Factory Facebook Messenger list. You can only buy via PayPal, and shipping charges are not disclosed.
Lean PM is also on sale via Amazon USA for the same price.
Lean PM is an unusual weight loss supplement in that you are advised to take it 40 minutes before bedtime. According to the product information, it will help you sleep, help you avoid night time food cravings, improve your mood and help your body burn fat while you sleep.
The principle ingredient is ECGC (epigallocatechin-3-gallate), an antioxidant present in green tea. Evidence suggests that ECGC has anti-obesity and fat burning properties because it seems to increase the speed of metabolism. One cup of green tea contains around 50mg, so the serving size of 300mg of EGCG here looks as if it should be effective, that is if it works as claimed.
Lean PM contains amino acid L Theanine, another important compound found in tea and the substance that is the cause of its relaxing, yet mentally energising effect. Other ingredients include Melatonin, a hormone in the body (also made synthetically in the lab), which regulates sleep patterns, and 5HTP (5-Hydroxytryptophan) a chemical made in the body, here in extract form from a type of seed, and a precursor to serotonin, the brain’s feel-good chemical.
Lean PM also contains Magnesium, a mineral that is well known for helping to reduce insomnia and sleep disturbances. The final component is BioPerine – a black pepper extract that can help increase the bioavailability of certain other substances.
Factory Jacked is an internet-based supplements company, probably based somewhere in the USA although the company location is not disclosed. Factory Jacked are fully engaged with social media, with around 13000 followers on Facebook.
Land on the official Factory Jacked website, and eerily your own Facebook messenger profile comes up and you are invited to engage with the company. We didn’t like this – it seems very intrusive, but it does seem to indicate that Factory Jacked is looking to engage with customers.
We have covered Jacked Factory Burn XT in a previous review. This was the complete opposite of Lean PM because it contained a lot of caffeine, so only suitable for daytime use. We felt this supplement had good points, although we did not recommend it.
According to the advertising, Lean PM is a “STIMULANT-FREE FAT LOSS AMPLIFIER & SLEEP AID”.
There are seven key features:
We would have liked to have seen some links to clinical evidence, and an explanation about how this supplement actually works. However, we are impressed to see that it appears to have been made under safe conditions and that a guarantee is on offer.
We think that Lean PM will work in some of the ways as claimed, but not for everyone. This certainly seems to be the case with the many customers who have tried this supplement.
Research has found that taking melatonin (between 2mg and 12mg) before bed can help you fall asleep and stop unhealthy sleep patterns. It also has a calming effect and can be prescribed before surgery.
L Theanine too can help the brain switch on alpha waves, the mental state experienced when we are half asleep and half awake, and the same state achieved by hypnotism and meditation. Evidence shows that L Theanine seems to help the brain’s alpha waves – the state that sees the brain in a relaxed yet active mode.
Magnesium is a mineral that is well known for decreasing insomnia, and is often taken for this reason. It helps activate neurotransmitters in the brain to calm the body and mind. Source
The downside of Melatonin and L Theanine is that they may cause excessive dreaming or an inability to sleep, because of increased alpha waves. This can be pleasant but not quite so enjoyable if your dreams turn into nightmares, or you cannot actually switch off and sleep.
The weight loss claims are not easy to prove. Although green tea has proven to be effective for weight loss, in most cases this has been in combination with caffeine or/and resistance exercise, neither of which are suitable before bedtime.
According to a study carried out on the benefits of green tea, and published in the US National Library of Medicine,
green tea extracts are more stable than pure epigallocatechin gallate, because of the presence of other antioxidant constituents in the extract.
The truth is that although EGCG as the most abundant catechin (a type of antioxidant) in green tea is undoubtedly good for health and is a possible support to obesity, there is really no clinical evidence carried out on humans that can prove that it will help weight loss in this way.
The research seems to suggest that regular consumption of green tea is beneficial for health, but is taking a supplement containing a small component of the tea, as effective? Source
In addition, many of the best results seen with green tea have been reinforced by caffeine because according to research,
taken together, these functional ingredients have the potential to produce significant effects on metabolic targets such as thermogenesis, and fat oxidation. Source

Judging by the ingredients profile, Lean PM may cause side effects and some customers have mentioned the following experiences. All of these are in line with the ingredients profile;
Not suitable for individuals under 18. Avoid if you are pregnant or breast feeding. Seek medical advice before use if you are taking prescription medication or suffer from an underlying medical or mental health condition. This supplement may interact with medication. Cease use if you experience side effects.
There are hundreds of reviews for Lean PM on Amazon USA. However not all the positive comments seem genuine, as there is a pattern of first-time reviewers all leaving positive reviews all within a short time frame – always the sign of fake reviews. Disappointingly, many of the positive reviews look untrustworthy, and this has also been noted by customers who bought the supplement based on what looked like genuine customer experiences.
The featured positive review seems genuine. This customer was very pleased with the supplement,
Product as described. I have been using for three months now and I’m down 16 pounds and I’m not nearly as hungry throughout the day and I have more energy during the day. l can finally sleep at night without waking up a 3am!
We then trawled through the 800 plus comments looking for more genuine reviews. We waded through about 20 fake positive reviews before we found what appeared to be a genuine customer who reported
Sleeping better and longer. Feel an increased weight loss goal
The same pattern continued with a very small percentage of genuine positive reviews scattered among the high proportion of fake reviews, such as this one.
This stuff is awesome it puts me right to sleep and I’ve noticed I’ve lost a couple pounds since using it
We took a look at the negative reviews. Some customers have mentioned side effects. Bad dreams and restlessness at night are common.
This actually kept me awake. There were no results except for bad dreams and loss of sleep. Avoid.
It didn’t help me at all with my sleeping. Waste of money. Also gave me nightmares.
Does not work. I felt like I’m up all night instead of going to sleep. I took it as directed. Don’t buy it.
Some customers have noticed a reduction in appetite, but no change to sleep patterns,
Definitely curbed my appetite. Didn’t make me sleep through the night.
Others, the opposite effect,
Not sure if it helps with any weight loss but has helped me sleep better at night.
There is an advertised guarantee, but there are no details about how to claim it. Here’s what the company says about it,
We stand behind Lean PM and guarantee your satisfaction. If for any reason at all you aren’t completely satisfied with your results from this fat loss & sleep support supplement we will work to resolve your concern or arrange for a full hassle-free refund on your purchase.
You can buy Lean PM via the official Jacked Factory website. It is also on sale via Amazon USA.
Initially, we were impressed with Lean PM. We liked the full ingredients information, and the fact that it contains so many well-known sleep aid ingredients, and although we were sceptical about the weight loss claims we thought it might be a weight loss plans.
What has ruined this good impression is the high amount of fake positive feedback that has been placed on the Amazon site. There is no doubt that this has been carried out to mislead consumers into buying, and to minimise the impact of the negative side effects reported by many customers.
The truth is that this supplement will not be suitable for all. Some people will struggle with side effects such as bad dreams and sleep disturbances, but this is not the case with all customers, many of whom seem happy with this supplement. It was hard to find genuine customers amongst all the fake reviewers, and this actually created a worse impression. Had the company not done this, the consumer could have weighed up the risks and made up his or her own mind about it.
Overall, we cannot recommend Lean PM to our Watchdog readers. We do not trust Jacked Factory to be honest and straightforward with customers, and, of course, those side effects could be a problem for some users.
