We love the idea of losing weight by drinking coffee, but can Javita Burn + Control really help? We find out.
The major problem with Javita Burn + Control as a weight loss coffee is that it lacks information about how much of these herbal ingredients are actually contained in the blend. The evidence for Garcinia Cambogia is flimsy anyway but will there be even enough of this extract to notice anything?
Without this information, Javita Burn+ Control lacks evidence that it will help promote weight loss and appetite suppression beyond the usual effects of an ordinary cup of coffee.
You may experience the usual stimulant-related side effects, such as headaches, jitteriness, insomnia, dizziness, etc.
In the Single Kit, 24 sticks of Javita Burn + Control costs $31.00.
Javita Burn + Control is an instant coffee with added herbs that the advertising claims will work as a fat burner and appetite suppressant.
We like the idea of a weight loss coffee. After all caffeine is a usual ingredient in many fat burning diet pills so this idea does make sense and may be more pleasurable than taking caffeine in supplement form.
According to the product information, the coffee is a good quality blend of Arabica and Robusta beans from South America. Added to this is Garcinia Cambogia extract and Yerba Mate; two herbs which are believed to be effective for weight loss.
Yerba Mate is a South American herbal extract that contains a lot of caffeine so has a stimulant effect similar to coffee. When added to coffee it seems likely that this will cause a greater stimulant effect.
Javita Burn + Control also contains Garcinia Cambogia – a fruit extract that contains high levels of hydroxycitric acid which is believed to inhibit fat gain and increase serotonin but does lack clinical proof.
However, there is sound evidence that caffeine can cause fat burning and increase the metabolism.
The coffee comes in individual sachets, like many brands of instant coffee, and you just add boiling water and drink in the usual way. However, you will need to avoid adding sugar and cream if you want the weight loss effect! The advice from the supplier is to add Stevia instead of sugar.
To find out more about Stevia check out our previous investigation.
Javita Burn + Control is produced by the Javita Coffee Company a network marketing company based in the USA. Join and you can benefit from a compensation plan complete with bonuses for successful sales performance including a BMW car bonus.
Multi Level Marketing is not always as easy as the advertising claims. You are required to sell to your network of friends and family and actively search for other distributors to sign up to your network of sellers.
However, if you are interested in making some extra cash by becoming a distributor for the Javita Coffee Company you can find out all about it from the Javita website.
As well as Javita Burn + Control, the Javita Coffee Company sell other coffee and tea blends including Four Fusion Cocoa – a “decadent European cocoa “ with added herbs to give your “brain an edge”, Herbal Cleanse Tea a detox tea and Energy + Mind a coffee with herbs to boost energy and mental performance.
According to the Javita Coffee Company,
One cup of Javita coffee costs less and offers more than a cup of coffee from your corner coffee shop or fast food restaurant.
Should we be surprised at this? It does not sound such a great deal. We have rarely found a cup of coffee in a café that costs less than an instant coffee we make at home. Javita explain the benefits of the added ingredients,
Yerba Mate is a central nervous system stimulant containing caffeine, but it also contains a number of other nutrients, including antioxidants, amino acids, polyphenols, vitamins and minerals. The chemical compounds and nutrients in yerba mate tea affect your metabolism to make your body use carbohydrates more efficiently.
The result is that:
Combining yerba mate with a healthy diet and regular exercise can help boost your metabolism to burn more calories, and it can help you eat less by curbing your appetite slightly.
Garcinia Cambogia suppresses your appetite, but it also limits the body’s ability to turn carbohydrates into fat. This factor, combined with increased calorie burning and a suppressed appetite, prohibit the body from converting excess carbohydrates into stored body fat. In fact, instead of increasing your body fat, you’ll increase your energy.
This all sounds great but there are no links to any clinical evidence or proof about these ingredients. Funnily enough, the advertising does not explain the role of coffee in weight loss either.
We don’t think Javita Burn + Control works very well for weight loss. There is a lot of negative feedback and much of it reports the same experiences of jitteriness and headaches. After all, do we really need added caffeine in coffee? Coffee is the world’s most popular beverage and at around 100mg a serving, this works fine for most people.
In addition, the evidence is just not there for Garcinia Cambogia. Dr Oz famously touted this so-called miracle ingredient on his TV show and was later forced to take back his comments and apologise to the Senate for making wildly inflated claims about diet pill ingredients.
That said, even if his claims had been proven, adding an ingredient to a coffee in unknown amounts would not be as effective as taking a supplement where you know the exact serving size.
We are inclined to agree with the reviewer who said you would be better off ‘buying the herbs and instant coffee separately’.

Javita Burn + Control is an instant coffee blend with added herbs. However, there is very little information about the amount quantities contained in each serving.
All we are told is that each 4g serving stick (sachet) contains just 11 calories and 3mg of sodium. There are zero amounts of fat, sugar, and carbs. Here is a general overview of the ingredients:
Javita Burn + Control is a coffee with added caffeine so you may notice stimulant side effects. Some customers have struggled with typical caffeine side effects including:
A typical complaint was left by this customer who reported,
…it caused me chronic tension headaches that I still can’t get rid of and it gave me severe heart palpitations.
This product is terrible. I normally never write reviews but I’m hoping this saves somebody from wasting their money. It gave me heart palpitations and my stomach hurt every time I tried it. I drank it 3 times just to make sure it’s not a fluke. I felt terrible all 3 times.
Not suitable for individuals under 18 years. Avoid if you are pregnant or breast feeding. Do not take if you are sensitive to stimulants.
There are hundreds of customer reviews for Javita Burn + Control and opinion is mixed. Some customers report that it helps control the appetite,
Helps very good with appetite control. Going to order again.
Is a typical positive comment. A customer who does not usually like coffee reported,
I never liked coffee before Javita. I love it! Only coffee I will drink.
The taste is a bone of contention,
Nothing good to say about this. Taste is terrible.
Another customer pointed out,
Expensive and does not taste good. Better off buying the herbs and instant coffee separately. Instant coffee is only a couple of dollars.
This customer highlighted numerous issues,
I really haven’t seen any results… but then again I haven’t finished the whole box. It makes your heart beats fast and you get jittery as you drink it… But I don’t think it suppresses my hunger. It tastes like stale coffee, need a little creamer for sure. I’m not sure if I’ll buy it again.
Some customers report that they have added weight while using,
Tastes like instant coffee and didn’t do anything for me. Instead I got more hungry and gained weight. Went back to my old coffee.
There does not appear to be a money-back guarantee with this coffee supplement.
Javita Burn + Control is sold via network marketing so you can buy it via one the distributors if you can find one. Be warned, distributors receive an incentive for signing clients up to auto shipping agreements so you may need to be firm if you do not want this option.
However, the Javita website does not provide any links to their distributors so you cannot buy via the product page or even access where to find a seller. This does not look very good for people who have become distributors and are trying to sell Javita products. An easier option is to buy via Amazon.com. The boxes come in three sizes.
We liked the idea of an instant coffee with added weight loss ingredients but we are disappointed with this brand. Javita Burn + Control suffers from a lack of information. The amounts of Yerba Mate and Garcinia Cambogia contained in each serving of the coffee is not provided so there is no way of knowing whether this drink will be effective as a weight loss supplement or not. The only way is to buy it and try it and many customers have done this and have been disappointed.
In addition, is there really any need to add extra caffeine to coffee? Many customers have found that it has caused side effects and there seems to be little point with tampering with the basic make up of the world’s favourite stimulant.
We are never keen on Direct Marketing companies. Buying a supplement from this type of business can be unnecessarily complicated for customers who may just want to try the supplement without going through rigmarole of searching for a distributor. Javita does not make this easier because there are no links to their own distributors via the product website. Sign up to this site as a distributor yourself and you may struggle to make sales.
Finally, Javita Burn + Control does not seem a very good deal. This instant coffee is expensive and it really does not look special enough to merit a price tag of over a dollar a cup.
It is an easy decision. Javita Burn + Control is just not good enough to add to our approved list.
