Kangmei Slimming Capsules

With a low budget website and next to zero product information, Sheng Fu Kangmei Slimming Capsules do not inspire confidence, despite being popular with customers in South Africa. Sheng Fu Kangmei does not come with any clinical evidence, product details or even an ingredients list. It appears to be simply a cheap product that looks like a diet pill for selling on market stalls and similar. Genuinely one of the most outrageous products we have seen.

We had never heard of Sheng Fu Kangmei Slimming Capsules before, so when this supplement came to our attention we leapt at the chance to find out more. We are glad we did. Kangmei Slimming Capsules Overview

What you need to know about Kangmei Slimming Capsules

Your really have no idea what exactly is contained in this supplement. There is no full ingredients list or ingredient quantities provided. Even the ingredients that are mentioned in the advertising lack clinical proof and testing for safety apart from green tea and Garcinia Cambogia.

This product looks like a colossal scam. The ingredients list is unavailable and it is unclear whether this information is even printed on the box.

What are the side effects of Kangmei Slimming Capsules?

As we don’t actually know what is in Kangmei Slimming Capsules, we can’t really say. However, there are some customer reviews that mention headaches, chest pains, sweating, swollen glands, and more.

How much does Kangmei Slimming Capsules cost?

This supplement appears to be sold primarily in South Africa for around 70 Rand (which works out to be roughly $6.50 or £3.90).

Kangmei Slimming Capsules Key Features

Sheng Fu Kangmei Slimming Capsules are on sale in South Africa where they seem to be causing a stir. This Chinese made slimming pill comes with the promise of weight loss but there are a lot of warnings about similar looking so called fake products on the market that may have dangerous side effects.

We find it hard to believe that anyone has bothered faking this little known diet pill so is there any truth behind these rumours?

The principle product website was our first stop on our investigation and looked the most credible. (This does not say much for the other South African online retailers attempting to sell this supplement.)

This company is situated at:

Hebron Crescent, Cape Town 7560, South Africa
Phone:+27 76 811 8924

This is not a big business. We did a quick investigation and saw an obviously residential street with neat gardens and bungalows.

Kangmei Slimming Capsules Key Points

  • This supplement is made in China
  • May come in packaging variations
  • No standardised ingredient profile

The person behind this diet pill offers you a chance to become a Kangmei distributor yourself by contacting him or her via a G mail address.

According to the information, Kangmei Slimming Capsules will give you a:

complete detox, break down fat and dirt in your system and enhance your metabolism.

So at first glance, we already know that whoever is behind marketing this product does not understand basic biology. “Dirt in the system” is not a medical condition that anyone has ever heard of.

Moving on, this supplement apparently contains plant extracts including Green Tea, Chinese Hawthorne and Chrysanthemum and promises a quick solution to weight gain. Apart from a few general descriptions of weight loss, the product information does not go any further.

What does look strange is that at the foot of the product website, there is a warning about Fake Kangmei accompanying a picture of one of the capsules broken open.

It reads;

Warning Not All Brown Powder Capsules Are Original. Fakes Also Have Brown Powder

According to the information on this most official looking website,

fakes are hard to spot and can only be detected by the colour of the powder contained in the capsules.

How to Take Kangmei Slimming Capsules

Who knows ? All we can say is : DON’T!

It turns out that Sheng Fu brands are just generic weight loss pills manufactured in China. There is no official company presence in South Africa with regards agents or sole area distributors.

When it comes to fakes, it seems likely that these can be explained by small differences to packaging and formula carried out in the factory or factories of manufacture in China.

There is a lot of discussion about Kangmei on South African weight loss forums and this question of whether the product is fake or genuine is the major preoccupation. Some discussions put this question of fakes down to the packaging.

This comes in two brand types and either has an embossed red seal marked on the packaging or a gold one. Others say the colour of the powder contained in the capsules is the key. According to one person selling Gold label Sheng Fu Kangmei, the red seal means that the product is a fake.

To the untrained eye, the packaging of both products looks identical apart from the seal colour. Both packages feature Chinese writing and many places sell both red and gold label Kangmei.

Kangmei Slimming Capsules Concerns:

  • Potentially dangerous
  • Product not consistent
  • No conclusive information about manufacture

There are some alarming stories doing the rounds about this product. There is actually a Facebook campaign called;

Kangmei diet pills-dangerous truth; illegally contains Sibutramine.

Source: https://www.facebook.com/KangmeiDietPills

There is no evidence that Kangmei does contain Sibutramine. In addition, there are stories of Kangmei fakes containing ground baby foetus and arsenic.

We are finding it hard to believe any of this. Although we can believe that this supplement may contain dangerous or ineffective ingredients these claims seem sensationalist and grisly.

As for fakes – we simply do not believe there are any fakes. If a company were really going to sell fakes, one would expect that they would chose something people actually wanted or heard of – not a cheap second-rate diet pill in some dodgy looking packaging like this.

What does Kangmei Slimming Capsules claim to do?

According to the website information,

Kangmei has been proven to have remarkable weight reducing effects.

It:

reduces the weight and fat content by slowing down the fat composition and accelerating the decomposition

Sounds alarming and unpleasant!

You will lose weight in the hips, waist, stomach, thighs and buttocks without any harm or chemicals in your system

There is no proof that any of this is true. Kangmei has not been proven to do anything. It has never been tested.

Does Kangmei Slimming Capsules work?

This question almost seems irrelevant when you look at all the issues surrounding this supplement. It may help some people lose weight but it does appear to cause side effects and with the lack of ingredients information, we do not recommend you try finding out.

Kangmei Slimming Capsules Ingredients

Sheng Fu Kangmei is a diet pill that you can buy in bulk from China. There appear to be some differences in packaging and the formulation of the pills, which has led to confusion. The manufacturers do not provide contact details or any product information.

There is an address on the packaging:

2, ZHENGFU ROAD, LUOLIAN, CHANGLE CITY, FUJIAN PROVINCE, CHINA.

We researched this and found a website that we hoped belonged to the manufacturer. Disappointingly, it was yet another link to another South African business trying to sell Sheng Fu Kangmei.

We have provided a general overview of the ingredients but it is important to note there is no ingredients list for this supplement.

We cannot say for sure if Sheng Fu really contains any of this. Or if there are additional ingredients too. According to most sellers, this supplement contains 400mg of active ingredients.

  • Green Tea: Well-known and safe ingredient that is familiar to most people and may help promote weight loss. Possibly the principle ingredient because some consumers have mentioned a strong smell of tea after breaking open the capsules.
  • Chinese Hawthorn: Is untested for safety and has not been approved by the FDA as a supplement. This fruit extract has an effect upon blood vessels and may open up blood vessels in the heart. Improving blood flow may be a positive benefit but it also may be dangerous. Side effects include vomiting, dizziness and nausea and you should not take this substance without proper medical supervision. Source: http://www.livestrong.com/article/408201-side-effects-chinese-hawthorn-fruit/
  • Chrysanthemum: Not much is known about this commonplace flower as a supplement ingredient although the flowers are used as tea in Southern China. May cause sun sensitivity but lack of clinical testing means that the effects and possible side effects are unknown.
  • Poris Cocos: A mushroom variety that requires further testing around safety and health benefits.
  • Lotus Leaf: No clinical evidence surrounding uses, safety and interactions
  • Garcinia Cambogia (HCA) extracts: South Asian fruit, which may have benefits to weight loss and may have an appetite suppressing effect but requires further clinical testing. Source: http://www.hindawi.com/journals/jobes/2011/509038/
  • Cacciatore seed: The only reference we can find to this ingredient is linked to this supplement so it is a mystery ingredient.

Some sellers make this simpler by describing the formula as:

  • 100% Natural fruits and vegetable extracts!

Kangmei Slimming Capsules Side Effects

Who knows what it will do when nobody knows for sure what is contained in the capsules? It appears that Kangmei is not even made to a standardized formula.

However, according to the principle website, you should avoid if you suffer from heart disease or bipolar disorder.

We did find some customer feedback hosted on a health site where people reported the following symptoms.

  • Headaches
  • Chest pains
  • Sweating
  • Swollen glands
  • Dry mouth
  • Mood swings
  • Shaking
  • A “buzz” – although some customers enjoyed this. Others found it addictive
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Elevated heart rate

Caution:

Do not take this supplement. It is potentially dangerous for everyone and nobody appears to know for sure what is even in it. Definitely avoid if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, suffer from any kind of heart condition or have issues around substance abuse or mental health.

Kangmei Slimming Capsules Customer Feedback

Yes, there are plenty of customer reviews but as ever, there is confusion about the exact version that they have taken.

One customer felt he had bought the genuine article. He reported weight loss but felt it was addictive.

Get it and try it. Lost 10 kg and got off it… too easy to get addicted if you not working out for fitness

Another customer was not sure whether Kangmei was genuine or not but was disappointed

I have just recently tried it and it does nothing for me. I still eat and sleep normal I cannot see any difference in my weight I thought this capsule will take away my hunger but I actually feel more hungry with the tablets so I think I’ll jus stop coz it does nothing

And,

I used Kangmei almost a year after having my 3rd child. In the first month I literally lost 8kgs, I was amazed. I started to reduce my calories. By the second month, I lost in total 12kgs.
Unfortunately my side effects were: a. Dry mouth; b. I was very shaky / dizzy c. Mood swings. It really did give me a buzz. After month 2, I quit it, and I have of course put all the weight back on. Quick fix methods always have side effects.

Kangmei Slimming Capsules Money-Back Guarantee

There is no money-back guarantee offered by anyone selling this supplement.

Where To Buy Kangmei Slimming Capsules

If you live in South Africa, you can probably pick up a version of this supplement in a local store or pharmacy. It seems shocking to us that so-called health professionals would stock this product but it appears this is the case.

You can also buy online from one of the many South African retail outlets having a go at selling this product. Expect to pay around 70 Rand ($6.50 or £3.90) for a box of 24 capsules.

You cannot buy direct from what appears to be the main South African Kangmei site.

To our surprise, you can also buy via eBay.co.uk from a seller who claims to be the first UK source for these pills. One packet of 24 capsules costs £12.00 plus postage charges.

It is not available at the time of writing to US consumers via eBay.com.

Watchdog Verdict

We would not touch Sheng Fu Kangmei Slimming Capsules with the proverbial bargepole. We have never seen such an unconvincing product or so much rubbish talked about how the body works when you are trying to lose weight. You have no way of knowing what the capsules contain. Some of the listed ingredients may cause side effects and there are probably unlisted ingredients too. This supplement is potentially very dangerous.

The confusion around the “real” versions and the “genuine” versions is probably no conspiracy. We believe this originates in the factory and can be explained by changes to formula and packaging. After all, if a company were going to sell fakes you would expect them to choose something people actually wanted or heard of. Not a copy of an already cheap diet pill that retails for around $6 a packet. It just doesn’t make sense.

We find it disgraceful that this supplement is apparently on sale in pharmacies and that the people selling it have no concern about how it even works or the likely side effects it may cause.

No question. We reject Sheng Fu Kangmei Slimming Capsules.

  1. Hi,
my first Kangmei capsule came from unknown source in South Africa,
heard a lot about its awesome slimming effect so I decided to try!
one month and nothing…as I live in UK I had to find another supplier.
Took capsule for eight months and dropped two dress sizes!
in one stage I felt heart discomfort but not sure if capsule was causing this or stress I was going through that time…Im more then sure it was stress, as I had that feeling before taking capsule and had this recently as well…mouth dryness made me drink more and little headaches reminded me to drink, only was happening when I wasn’t drinking water at all, or not enough … as result until today I keep my weight, drink more water, eat light and small portions!
and when my weight started shifting away I become active again! its easier when you don’t carry to much weight!

  2. Hi, I have been using Kangmei for almost 9 months now , I have had no bad side affects, I have had dry mouth which made me drink more water, I have lost almost 13 KG and feel healthier than ever before, I truly believe their ingredients are all natural as I have always been sensitive when it comes to diet pills most of the diet pills give you heart palpitations and gave me headaches and made me feel nausea , Kangmei was the first pill I have used that made it seem that I am losing weight in healthy way It is not good to lose more than 2 kg per month, It took me 2 years to gain the weight so it makes sense to me that this should be the amount of time you should give your body to get rid of it.
