Kylea Total Living comes in two flavors – Green (vegetable) and Berry (fruit). They’re a “whole-food super-food formula with almost 9 grams of protein and the equivalent of 9 servings of either vegetables or fruits and berries.
Kylea claim Total Living drinks are the perfect tool you need to experience higher levels of health and energy, so we investigated this perfect tool to see if that claim is justified.
Each full scoop of Total Living Drink powder provides 38 grams of nutrition. One full scoop costs approximately $2.50 -$3.30. Many people struggle with the taste.
Then again, you can get a much better discount with Kylea’s auto-ship program – a whole $15.00 off each pack, as long as you remember to cancel, skip or change your order more than 24 hours before the scheduled shipment. But whether they’ll let you know exactly what time they’re going to ship, we’re not too sure.
We’re also just a little concerned that National TV Personalities Jerry and Shirley Rose are quick to endorse Kylea’s Total Living Drinks, but we’re not all that surprised since Jerry’s the President of the Total Living Network. Coincidence? Maybe.
And maybe it’s just us, but what concerns us most is that we’re being asked to hand over our $99.00 for something that claims – among other things – to “make us look years younger with smooth supple skin” and “achieve clockwork bowel regularity” without being given much of a clue about the ingredients of what we’re buying until we buy it. So that’s why we’re going to have to reject both of Kylea Total Living.
Kylea Total Living Review
Well, even though we’re looking at this supplement more for its benefits than its taste, we keep seeing comments from people who just don’t like it. Now, whether those comments mean those people aren’t prepared to man up and drink it ever again, or they’re just happy to find something to complain about, it’s hard to say, but the Kylea website does admit the taste isn’t exactly brilliant and offers suggestions to sweeten things up a little.
And talking of sweetening, there’s quite a lot of sugar in each scoop, which, if you’re looking to lose weight with either of these Total Living Drinks, is just going to make any weight-loss process just that little bit harder.
How to Take Kylea Total Living
If you’ve never had any superfood drinks before, you’re advised to take a half dose in 12 ounces of water or juice together with a meal for the first few days until your body gets used to the formula.
After that, you can use a full measuring scoop of Total Living Drink Greens and mix it with fruit or vegetable juice, blend it with ice cubes to make a smoothie to blend it with fruit or add yogurt to make yourself a health shake.
And you can do all of that for the Total Living Drink Berry, but instead of vegetable juice, you could try cow, goat or almond milk – organic, of course.
Kylea Total Living Concerns:
- There’s a somewhat suspicious-looking “quiz” on the website – looks like an attempt to get your email address so they can send out marketing emails
- What? They can’t spell Alfalfa on their ingredients list. Hey – it’s not that difficult
- Their ingredient list includes “Proprietary Bioflavanoid Blend”. Blend of what? And in what proportions?
What Does Kylea Total Living Claim To Do?
This is not just another supplement. This, they say, is “engineered food that will feed your cells a high-level of life-giving nutrients that will vastly improve your overall health and energy levels”, providing extraordinary energy without stimulants to help you:
- Stay focused and gain mental clarity
- Look years younger with smooth supple skin
- Supercharge your immune system
- *Achieve clockwork bowel regularity*
- Lose weight naturally and maintain weight
Does Kylea Total Living Work?
That depends on how you want it to work for you, really. If you’re looking to lose a few extra pounds, there’s the problem of the sugar in each serving – it’s going to add up over time.
Then again, if you’re looking for a little more spring in your step then we have to say yes, from all the evidence, it works in that respect.

Does Kylea Total Living Have Any Side Effects?
In general, yes, your stomach might become a tad vocal while it’s still getting used to the combination of ingredients in this product.
In particular, though, individual ingredients can also present problems by themselves, and here’s what we’ve found:
Rice protein can cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and more visits to the bathroom.
Spirulina has to be absolutely pure to be worthwhile. If it’s contaminated there’s the chance of liver damage, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, weakness, thirst, rapid heartbeat, shock and even death. It would come as some comfort to know the spirulina – and any other ingredient – had been tested for toxins, but we haven’t found any confirmation of that anywhere yet.
Fenugreek can cause swelling of the face, rashes, bloating, diarrhea and other digestive problems, allergies, congestion and seriously low blood sugar levels.
Chlorella can cause side effects including gas, stool discoloration, cramps, diarrhea, nausea, allergic reactions, asthma and sensitivity to sunlight.
Dulse can be possibly unsafe when taken by mouth because it contains high enough levels of iodine to cause harm to the thyroid.
Marigold can increase drowsiness if you’re taking sedative medications for anxiety or sleeplessness. And if you’ve got any kind of allergy to ragweed, daisies, chrysanthemums, chamomile, echinacea or any other plant in the marigold family it’s best to avoid any kind of product containing marigold – just in case.
There’s also the industry-standard “If you’re already taking medications consult your health professional” hidden in the FAQs.
Are There Any Customer Reviews For Kylea Total Living?
Yes, there are. The ones on Kylea’s website are, of course, all positive, and who are we to expect anything different?
Elsewhere on the internet we found reviews that would never make it onto Kylea’s website, such as:
I also am a stickler for taste. The product does not taste bad. At first it tasted different, but now I have gotten accustomed to it and it is not bad at all.
cannot abide the taste. I sure wish this could be my g0-to but no, not even close
TLD also has the most artificially sweetened taste of anything I’ve ever tried (imagine a berry flavored coke)… generally cringe when I drink this
I do not like the Greens taste
And on Amazon:
I DON’T SEE ANYWHERE ON THIS PRODUCT THAT’S IT’S ORGANIC and to be fare its dose not state that it’s organic ,would be a 5 star if it was organic, taste ok.
Taste was not too bad but chalky. No obvious improvement in energy level or general health. Too expensive for no results.
Does Kylea Total Living Offer a Money-Back Guarantee?
Apparently they have an iron-clad, no questions asked 30-day money back guarantee, but we couldn’t find much in the way of details about it on their website.
They do have a return policy, but not for empty containers, so you have to have some left over if you’re sending any back. And there’s a “one refund only” rule, to prevent people from buying the product, using it, sending it back for a refund and repeating the process.
At least, that’s what Kylea say. We’ve never seen anything like that in any terms and conditions before.
And that’s about all they say about refunds and returns on their website, but if you want more details, they say you’re welcome to email them to find out more. Whether that’s just a way of hoping people are too lazy to look further into the company and their products, it’s not for us to say.
But they are quite happy to tell us about their auto-ship 30 / 45 / 60 / 90-day program, though, as well as the wide variety of payment options available to buyers.
Where Can I Buy Kylea Total Living?
There’s a shopping cart on the Kylea website, and you’ve also got the option to phone your order through to the company direct.
Can you buy Total Living Drinks on eBay? No, but Kylea do sell through Amazon, and they also have an affiliate link under “Customer Support”. We tried clicking on it a few times to see what kind of commission structure they offered, but we couldn’t connect to that page at all.
