LifeVantage is a multi-level marketing company (MLM), so if you like the supplements you can become a distributor and sell the products yourself (something we would never advise). LifeVantage operates globally and provides supplements for anti-aging, general health, and more. The PhysIQ range is aimed at weight loss. This looks to be a standard, but overpriced, probiotic product. It also seems relatively safe and side-effect free.
Pros
Cons
We take a look to find out whether this expensive supplement is worth a try.
PhysIQ Probio is a pretty standard looking probiotic supplement that may help mild digestive issues and if you have recently been taking antibiotics, it may aid in recovery. However the research into probiotics is in early stages and although it seems that some probiotics may help boost the immune system, it is far too early to say whether any probiotic supplement is going to have this effect, and there is no evidence this one will help weight loss as claimed. PhysIQ Probio is expensive and it is hard to see why. In our opinion, it looks like a waste of money when supplements that look pretty much identical to this are available to buy for so much cheaper and are more easily available.
Potential side effects are likely to be mild and may include bloating, gas, and abdominal discomfort. It is important not to take any probiotic if you have a weakened immune system because you run the risk of introducing infection into the body.
PhysIQ Probio is very expensive and in our opinion, is massively overpriced for a probiotic supplement.
The retail price is $50.99 for a bottle of 90 capsules (30 servings).
If you sign up for auto ship, this is reduced to $40.99 per month.
You can only buy PhysIQ Probio via an official LifeVantage distributor. You can find one of these via the LifeVantage website or alternatively on social media such as Facebook.
Be aware that your distributor will probably encourage you to sign up to the monthly order. You need to know that entering into auto ship agreements can be extremely difficult to cancel.
PhysIQ Probio is a probiotic supplement in capsule form. It contains a blend of probiotic strains, a whole 6 billion CFUs of them, plus Baker’s Yeast and the idea is that taking this blend will improve health, weight loss, and the digestion.
Probiotic supplements have become increasingly popular in recent years. Probiotics are the good bacteria that inhabit our gut and the digestive system and play numerous roles in helping the digestive process, as well as countering the effects of bad bacteria (pathogens) that cause disease.
The research into probiotics is ongoing, and it could be that in the future probiotics hold the key to combating disease such as cancer. However, this time is still a long way off. The gut is home to billions of good bacteria and to make things even more complex, everyone’s microbiome is different depending on diet, environmental issues, and more. There are an estimated 500 different strains of good bacteria living in the average body, mainly in the digestive system.
PhysIQ Probio contains the mindboggling 6 billion CFUs per serving. CFUs, or colony forming units, is the unit used to estimate the number of viable bacteria or fungal cells in a sample that has the capabilities to go on and form new colonies of their own. Source
The most common bacteria groups in the gut are Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. In turn, these groups contain many species and many strains.
PhysIQ Probio contains a blend of probiotic strains derived from these two groups. It also contains Baker’s Yeast in the form of a trademarked product called Wellmune. Check out the ingredients tab to find out more.
The LifeVantage PhysIQ range of supplements consists of four items: Cleanse, Probio, Fat Burn, and Protein Shake. All of these supplements are designed to aid in weight management and can be used in combination or as standalone products.
We also covered LifeVantage Protandim in a previous Watchdog review.
LifeVantage is a MLM company. It operates globally but is based in Sandy in Utah. And as with all MLMs it has had its share of controversy. Back in 2017, it was cautioned by the FDA for claiming that Protandim cured cancer amongst other unproven claims.
In addition, there is always a suspicion that multi-level marketing companies may stray into the territory of illegal pyramid selling. This is where most of the profits come from signing up new people as distributors rather than actually selling the products. Check out our guide to MLM and pyramid selling to find out more.
However, MLM does suit some people and is a perfectly legal business model. Many people enjoy the challenge of this type of home business.
One downside for people looking to buy a MLM supplement is that it can be complicated. The products can only be purchased by a distributor or through a distributor’s referral, which can make the items hard to find. Most people will simply give up and look elsewhere.
The product information explains:
With over 6 Billion CFUs of healthy bacteria, BIO-tract® controlled-release technology, and Wellmune®, PhysIQ ProBio provides complete support for your weight management goals, your immune system, and what your body needs. And that’s just the start.
When it comes to weight management and digestive health, sometimes your gut is wrong. Science, on the other hand, is usually spot on. And according to research, a healthy digestive system needs the right amount of healthy bacteria to help you feel better and break through dieting plateaus.
With proven ingredients, BIO-tract® controlled-release technology and Wellmune®, PhysIQ ProBio is science answer to gastrointestinal problems, giving you the right balance of the right probiotics and immune system support to get your body back on track.
PhysIQ Probio looks like a reasonably effective supplement. It contains a range of probiotics that are often included in other supplements, so it is no better or no worse than many others on the market. You will probably find it useful if you are getting over antibiotics or have digestive issues.
The addition of Beta Glucan is unusual but it seems unlikely that the serving size is optimum. You can buy Wellmune from stores such as Amazon where it comes in a serving size of 500mg – unlike here where the combined serving size of the supplement only adds up to 370mg.
Will PhysIQ Probio really work in the way as described and support weight management goals? We think this is unlikely but it may help your digestion in the way as described. Remember LifeVantage has run into trouble for making false claims about the immunity boosting capabilities of their supplements. This supplement may help immunity but you cannot rely on it.

Serving size is equal to 3 capsules.
The probiotics included in this supplement are all commonly included in dietary products and food, so should be safe for most people. Any side effects are likely to be mild but may include:
You should not take probiotics if your immune system is compromised, because you do run the risk of introducing infection into a weakened immune system.
Caution:
Not suitable for individuals under 18. Avoid if you are pregnant or breast feeding or if you suffer from an underlying medical condition. Take advice from your doctor first.
There are no independent customer reviews for PhysIQ Probio.
There is no money-back guarantee available for PhysIQ Probio.
You can only buy LifeVantage PhysIQ Probio direct from a LifeVantage distributor. You can find a distributor via the LifeVantage website or alternatively, search on social media such as Facebook.
We are unimpressed with PhysIQ Probio. Although this supplement looks relatively safe, it is extremely expensive compared to similar products on the market. We have seen superior products on sale for around $20.00 for a month’s supply, so it is hard to see why this one is so pricey.
One reason for this is because LifeVantage is a MLM and, in our experience, supplements sold through this type of business model are always overpriced. We guess this is because so many people get a piece of the pie when somebody actually buys. In truth, we have yet to review a decent supplement on sale from any MLM, and PhysIQ Probio is no exception.
Overall, the supplement looks ok but there is no way we would ever approve such an overpriced supplement. We do not recommend LifeVantage PhysIQ Probio to the Watchdog readers.
