Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen is a basic, but overpriced, supplement that contains green tea as the sole ingredient. Due to this, you are unlikely to experience side effects. Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen is a lacklustre and boring supplement, but can we find anything to justify the over inflated price tag?

Pros

  • Green tea has many health benefits
  • Some positive customer feedback comments
  • Unlikely to cause side effects

Cons

  • Expensive for a basic looking supplement
  • May not work as described
  • MLM supplement – may be a hassle to buy
Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen
Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen is a simple looking supplement that contains green tea as the sole ingredient, so offers the customer a way to enjoy all the health benefits of the green brew without actually having to drink the stuff. If you don’t like drinking green tea, is this the next best thing?

We take an in-depth look at Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen to find out.

Nu Skin, sometimes spelt as NuSkin, is a brand from NSE, an American company based in Provo Utah. NSE is a multi-level marketing company (MLM) with a strong international presence across the UK and Europe and possibly beyond. Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen on sale to UK and Europe is actually manufactured in Switzerland exclusively for NSE. The same supplement is also on sale in the USA and manufactured in the USA.

Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen Overview

What you need to know about Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen

Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen is a basic looking supplement that contains green tea as the sole ingredient. Bottles come in two sizes. The US version of this supplement (Tegreen 97) comes in bottles of 120 capsules. Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen on offer to the UK and European customers contains only 30 capsules.

Nu Skin is a multi-level marketing company (MLM), so is on sale via numerous private distributors you can find on Facebook. You may also find it on sale at Amazon, but for a basic looking but overpriced green tea supplement we can’t really see why anyone should want to. There are literally thousands of green tea supplements on the market (as well as green tea), and no real reason why anyone would bother with this one.

What are the side effects of Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen?

Side effects are unlikely but may include caffeine-related symptoms such as jitteriness, anxiety, sleep disturbances, tachycardia, and headaches – that is if the green tea content contains caffeine which is not specified.

Green tea can also cause the worsening of medical conditions such as anaemia and osteoporosis.

How much does Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen cost?

Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen is very expensive, especially when you consider it is nothing more than a fairly low powered green tea supplement.

UK and European customers can buy via the Nu Skin website which targets British and European customers. However, you will need to first sign up for an account or become a distributor yourself.

1 x bottle of 30 capsules costs a whopping £24.02. Postage is not specified.

A slightly different version of Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen, sometimes with the addition of 97 in the title is available to US customers. We found this on sale via Amazon USA.

1 x bottle of 120 capsules costs $56.77 making the US version the much better deal.

Many of the Nu Skin distributors on Facebook seem to be selling Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen 97.

Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen Key Features

Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen is a straightforward supplement that contains only green tea extract as the active ingredient.

Green tea is well known for its health benefits. Some people claim it helps reduce the risk of cancer, can help weight loss, combat cardiovascular disease, and more. In many cases, these benefits have not been strictly proven, but there is no denying that green tea is a superfood that will undoubtedly do you good and help to support good health.

Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen Key Points

  • Each bottle contains 30 capsules (1 month’s supply)
  • Buy in the USA and a practically identical product comes in bottles containing 120 ct
  • Green tea extract is the sole active ingredient

Green tea is derived from Camellia Sinensis as are all teas and the only difference between this and the usual black tea that you drink, is that green tea is left unfermented and has not undergone a lengthy manufacturing process, meaning it retains more of its natural plant antioxidants.

Green tea is high in natural antioxidants and as well as a general boost to health, because antioxidants help protect the body from cell damage and disease caused by rogue cells called free radicals, it can help weight loss. There are many different types of antioxidant but green tea contains the antioxidants ECGC (epigallocatechin-3-gallate) and polyphenols, which some clinical research suggests has anti-obesity and fat burning properties.

How to Take Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen

Take one (1) capsule in the morning with food and drink

Pharmanex is a division of the Nu Skin company (in turn a division of NSE). Nu Skin Pharmanex has a huge range of products including skin care and anti-aging products, hair care, acne treatments, and cosmetics.

If you like the product range, you can sign up as a distributor and sell Nu Skin Pharmanex products yourself. Multi-level Marketing is not for everyone, but some people enjoy this type of challenge and have no qualms in badgering people they know and their own families to buy their products.

Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen Concerns:

  • The cost. This supplement looks like a waste of money
  • Will people join this MLM company believing they will make their fortune? They are likely to be disappointed
  • Are the two versions of the same diet pill really the same? It is hard to tell the difference between them apart from the fact that the UK version is more of a rip-off

We are not fans of MLM, because we have yet to see a supplement from an MLM that wasn’t overpriced or any good. That said, this type of business model is legal and although distributors rarely make much money, some people seem to enjoy it.

We covered Nu Skin Metabotrim in a previous review, and felt it was massively overpriced for a fairly indifferent looking vitamin supplement.

Nu Skin operates in the USA, and across Europe and the UK.

What does Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen claim to do?

The product information simply explains a little about the importance and background of green tea.

“Nowadays green tea and this extract are consumed by many populations around the world; while it has traditionally already been used for centuries in China and India, for its various benefits.”

The product information explains the role of the antioxidants contained in green tea,

“The consumption of this green tea extract helps to protect our body by reinforcing the body’s natural defence against the effects of these free radicals that occur from pollution, stress, smoke and toxins.”

Does Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen work?

Although we all love green tea, we cannot see this green tea supplement having much effect.

For a start, it contains only 250mg of green tea per capsule which makes it look a little underpowered compared to many others on the market. Testing has looked at 500mg a day for example for the reduction of cholesterol, 379mg a day for reducing blood pressure. In general, ingredient quantities are higher than is present here, especially as this is the only ingredient.

Also, green tea seems to be most effective for fat burning and weight loss when combined with additional caffeine, which is not the case here. It is not clear whether the green tea used in this supplement comes with its natural caffeine content. This is not mentioned on the label so we guess it is decaffeinated.

You would do better for health if you were to drink green tea rather than taking this supplement.

Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen Customer Feedback

There was another version of this supplement on sale via Amazon UK. The ingredient profile was identical and only the packaging and design on the supplement bottle looked different. The name is slightly different too and was referred to as Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen 97. It is no longer available on Amazon UK, but it did manage to attract eight customer review comments.

Positive comments include,

These are great would recommend these to everyone

And,

Great love this lost some weight in time for my wedding

However, most comments are not quite as favourable and include,

Load of rubbish! Not worth the money at all!!

And,

Didn’t work for me, tried for 3 weeks no difference at all, and they were not cheap, was hoping they would help with my energy levels along with my appetite – nope nothing

This version of the supplement is on sale via Amazon USA where it has attracted a similar mix of review comments.

Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen Money-Back Guarantee

There is no money back guarantee on offer with this supplement.

Where To Buy Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen

You can buy Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen via the Nu Skin website, but you will have to sign up for an account first.

Alternatively, if you look at Facebook, you can find lots of Nu Skin distributors who will be only too happy to sell you this supplement.

Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen is no longer on sale via Amazon UK, however it is available to US customers via Amazon USA.

Watchdog Verdict

Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen is a very basic looking supplement, that in our opinion is totally overpriced. There is nothing special about it, yet the price tag is way in excess of similar looking supplements on the market. We are not impressed.

In addition, there is some confusion regarding the supplement on sale in the UK and Europe, and the product on sale in the USA. The two supplements look to have the same 250mg of green tea extract per serving, yet with the US version coming in bottles of 120 and the UK customers having to make do with 30 capsules a bottle, this does not seem fair.

The Nu Skin range is on sale via multi-level marketing, so as ever it can be a hassle to buy if you go through a distributor. If you sign up yourself, you may be able to get your products at a slight discount, but it is unlikely that you will be able to earn a proper living doing this.

Let’s cut to the chase. Nu Skin Pharmanex Tegreen is a lacklustre and boring supplement, and we can find nothing here to justify the over inflated price tag. It will not do you much harm, but it is unlikely to really do you any good either.

  1. I was told to take 4 a day and if they are really an equivalent to 7 cups of green tea each capsule, that’s 28 a day. It takes only over 5 cups a day to start causing liver damage. My doctor is going to see these capsules tomorrow so I can explain why my liver has had erratic readings since I started taking them.

    1. @ Talitha what is ur doctor said bout it? Bcoz i just bought some for my Dad,if its gonna cause liver problem i think i wouldnt give it to my dad.

  2. Tegreen is said to have 97% polyphenols of which 65% are catechins. So saying 1 capsule of Tegreen contains only 250mg of green tea extract as opposed to others having 500mg, does this mean that the latter contain more polyphenols and/or catechins? This are the active ingredients that’s supposed to have the beneficial effects of green tea. Just wondering…

  3. The benefits I’ve had while on them are huge…. when I don’t take them my body knows straight away. You don’t need fancy packaging when they work!!
