So will this supplement help you to lose weight by making saying no to sweets easier? We take an in depth look at Pharmapure Sugar Blocker to find out more.
We all have our different issues with weight gain. For some people it’s portion sizes, for others it is carbs and processed food, for others it is a generally unhealthy diet without exercise.
One thing that derails many people is sweet food such as candy bars and sweets, ice cream, donuts, cakes and pastries. These types of sweet food are everywhere and can be hard to resist.
Pharmapure Sugar Blocker proposes a way to help you do just that and looks to be an easy way to manage your cravings. It is suitable for diabetics too. Each caplet contains a herbal extract called Gymnema Sylvestre which studies have shown, changes the taste of sugar and sweet foods into something bland and tasteless. This means that if you take the supplement you should find that you cannot taste your usual sweet treats so they become very easy to avoid.
Gymnema Sylvestre is a herb which is found in Asia. It contains natural chemicals called Saponins which suppress the taste of sweetness. According to the advertising these natural chemicals simply blocks the taste of sugar on your tongue.
Other ingredients in the caplets are chromium extract – believed to help the body regulate sugar levels and Vanadyl sulfate a compound derived from Vanadium, a chemical element found in marine biology. Vanadyl sulfate is being investigated as a treatment for diabetes as a means for increasing insulin sensitivity.
Pharmapure is a brand which comes from PureTek, a US company based in California and a premier manufacturer of supplements. This major company produces and manufactures pharmaceuticals for some of the largest, most recognized national retail chains. It also produces own label brands such as Pharmapure.
You cannot buy supplements direct from PureTek. Instead their products can be found in shops and stores across the USA. Pharmapure Sugar Blocker is available from numerous retail outlets including Wal Mart.
Take 1 capsule 3 times daily.
There are 10 key features about Pharmapure Sugar Blocker:
Pharmapure Sugar Blocker works in three ways:
The product information also mentions the importance of exercise and diet and provides healthy tips and information in the packaging.
Pharmapure Sugar Blocker is a supplement designed to help you cut down on sugar.
Each capsule is equal to one serving.
Nothing is strictly proven about the ingredients. They all need further evidence and testing but that said the results look promising. You may find that Pharmapure Sugar Blocker helps you avoid giving into sugar cravings and if this supplement does only this one thing, for many people that will be money well spent.
Of course you will have to employ some will power to take the supplement. If you really know that sweets will not taste as sweet any more, it may be hard to willingly take this pleasure away from yourself.
Pharmapure Sugar Blocker looks safe for most people. However we are slightly concerned about the Vanadyl Sulfate content which can cause.
These may include:
Caution:
Not suitable for individuals under 18. Avoid if you are pregnant or breast feeding. Speak to your physician first if you are taking prescription medication or if you have an underlying medical condition in case of possible interactions. Speak to your doctor and cease taking if you experience side effects.
Gymnema will affect blood sugar levels so if you are diabetic you should speak to your practice nurse or your doctor for advice.
Pharmapure Sugar Blocker is available from a wide choice of outlets so there are plenty of customer reviews to see.
The overwhelming opinion is positive and not one customer has mentioned side effects.
This customer has only been taking it for a week but is satisfied:
This product does what it says it will – it reduces the cravings for sweets and blocks the taste of sugar. The sweet taste is eliminated from the foods, and I find it to be an unappealing taste instead, which keeps me from wanting more. I have been taking it for about a week, and I definitely recommend this product for someone who has a brutal sweet tooth like I do.
This customer felt it has helped his diabetes. Please note that you should consult with your doctor before taking if you have ANY medical condition:
This really works for me to lower my blood glucose levels. Within 48 hours, my fasting readings without diet change went from around 150 to 115. I had tried it for a month several months prior and lost 13 pounds during the month. Not sure it will work for everyone the same way. My doctor had never heard of it. But it’s worth a try for one month. I had never heard of it prior to walking in a store and looking for diabetic supplements…
Many customers are less certain:
I am not sure on this product yet. I have not gained weight and I have not lost any…… The one thing that I notice is that I don’t crave sweets like before…
This customer felt it was more of a taste blocker than a sugar blocker:
The purpose of this pill is to block your cravings through your tongue. You are supposed to take 1 pill prior to meal time, but before swallowing leave on your tongue for 15 seconds. I noticed immediately that my tongue had a dry blah feeling to it. I then ate a CHOBANI yogurt. There was basically NO TASTE to the yogurt. So, essentially you are blocking taste buds so you will not taste that oh so delicious flavor of sweetness…
The most negative review we could find was this:
I just don’t see it working? If you let it melt on your tongue a few minutes…you don’t taste sweet as much? But I don’t see it stopping my cravings. I’m hopeful so two stars. It’s only been a few weeks. If it starts working I will change my feedback. But right now? This pill just dulls my taste buds a little. Doesn’t do much else, sorry.
We think that it does probably work for some people. Many people have tried this supplement and everybody mentions the effect on the tongue in relation to blocking sweet flavours. Not everyone has lost a lot of weight and in some people the effect was not very noticeable but even negative reviewers have mentioned positive attributes which is very unusual.
Gymnema Sylvestre is generating an increasing amount of scientific evidence. It seems to improve glycaemic control in diabetes and it appears to have an immediate effect of reducing the cravings for sugar. Although research is in fairly early stages, Gymnema Sylvestre looks extremely promising.
If sweet foods are your problem, you may find that this supplement helps you. Some people who suffer from diabetes have also found that it helps reduce blood sugar levels. That said it is important that you should speak to your doctor if you have any medical concerns or questions about managing your condition.

We are impressed with Pharmapure Sugar Blocker. This inexpensive supplement (especially if you buy it from Wal Mart) looks to be both safe and effective. If a sweet tooth is your particular weight loss demon you may find that this supplement helps you resist temptation. Many people report that this weight loss strategy has helped. Many people have felt that this supplement has helped them manage diabetes too.
All this positive genuine feedback and satisfied customers gives a great impression that Pharmapure Sugar Blocker is worth a try. You might feel the same.
However we must stay on the side of caution. The clinical evidence into Gymnema Sylvestre is still in early stages and it is important to remember that we have been through various “miracle” ingredients many times before.
If you remember a few years back, everyone was raving about Hoodia for example but now all these claims have been discredited. Other so called miracle ingredients have been down the same road. It ALWAYS sounds convincing but in many cases, there turn out to be hidden problems or issues with the testing. The evidence for Gymnema Sylvestre certainly looks convincing but it does require further testing.
This means that we cannot recommend Pharmapure Sugar Blocker. Although there are lots that we like about this supplement, we cannot really recommend Pharmapure Sugar Blocker until the proof about Gymnema Sylvestre is established.
Thousands of customers have cut the fat with this fast and powerful thermogenic fat burner. Can suppress appetite, boost energy levels and elevate mood without the jitters.

Is the Phentaslim safe if you have diabetes?
I have been on these pills forsix months now. I take psychotropic meds for my mental health and some for my phsyical health. I have type 2 and thats being monitored. First i was told and read online that some of the antidepressants that are also antipsychotics raise blood sugar. Idk how that occurs. I have a terrible sweet tooth and started noticing i was easing up more ans more on sweets. But the last couple of days i have taken in more sweets along with these pills and noticed an almoat instant very red flush to my face and elsewhere along with heat. Not exactly the sweaty hot flashes wither. I have loat over 30 pounds and have laid off snacks to a good extent. I can only figure my unique health and situation along with an sudden increase in sweets caused it. BP was within good range. I havent actually been monitoring blood sugar at home but i had enough of the extremwmly high blood sugar over the summer that i got a bad yeast infection and is still driving me crazy. I would have thought my body would have rid of the extra sugar by now and dont understand. I just flat out quit one med pscy had me on after i read up on it. And gradually decreased my sweets. Any advice?
