There are some diet supplements, sold exclusively through, which use incredibly long product titles to add more keywords, making them more likely to turn up in customer searches. PhenELITE is one of these products, with their title calling it the “highest rated pharmaceutical grade weight loss diet pills” which provide fast weight loss, being a “hyper-metabolising fat burner and appetite suppressor”.

Below we take an in-depth look at PhenElite to see if it is as effective at aiding weight loss as the manufacturers claim.

PhenElite Pros

What You Need To Know About PhenElite

The manufacturers of PhenElite make some incredibly dramatic claims about the potency of this weight loss supplement. However, we are not convinced that the product can actually deliver on many of these promises.

Whilst PhenELITE has a huge number of positive reviews, it is possible that a significant number of them are faked, especially as many of them are not verified purchases. There are also many customers that are incredibly dissatisfied with the product, complaining about its lack of effects and the side effects that it has caused.

The product uses grapefruit extract, which can interact with medications and greatly increase the risk of side effects and overdose, and yet the manufacturers do not warn consumers about this risk at all. There are numerous ingredients used in PhenElite that have little or no clinical support from trials using human participants. Raspberry Ketone has only been tested in rodents and test tubes, whilst African Mango studies have generally been small, biased, and funded directly by manufacturers of African Mango supplements.

What Are The Side Effects Of PhenElite?

These ingredients could potentially cause a wide range of side effects. As the manufacturers have neglected to provide any individual ingredient quantities, it is not possible to establish the likelihood that any of these side effects will develop or to establish the actual potency and effectiveness of the supplement.

How Much Does PhenElite Cost?

A single bottle costs $24.99 plus delivery charges.

Our Verdict On PhenElite

Without an ingredients list that is comprehensive, we cannot confirm how strong this product is, or how effective it will be in reality. We also feel that it is irresponsible of the company to suggest that customers can lose weight with this product with ‘with no diet and no exercise’ when even the instructions on the bottle indicate otherwise.

Overall, we definitely do not recommend PhenElite to our readers!

PhenElite Review

PhenElite is an Amazon-exclusive weight loss supplement that promises to boost the consumer’s metabolic rate, burn fat and suppress the appetite.

PhenElite Facts

  • Manufactured for Boost Marketing Group LLC
  • 60 capsules per bottle
  • Available exclusively on Amazon

The bottle states that it contains all-natural ingredients. However, we are not so sure about this claim. Raspberry Ketone does occur naturally in raspberries and some other fruits, but in such tiny amounts that it is not financially viable to extract it from the fruit. Instead, it is industry standard to use lab-created raspberry ketones, which is definitely not an ‘all-natural’ option.

How to Take PhenElite

Take 1-2 capsules before meals as a dietary supplement.

‘For best results take 30 minutes before meals with 8 ounces of water or as directed by a healthcare professional.’ The manufacturers do not state what the maximum daily dose is, but as the bottle of 60 capsules is supposed to last for 30 days, we would recommend using one capsule before two main meals per day. Because this supplement contains caffeine, consumers should avoid taking the capsules in the evening.

The manufacturers claim that PhenElite is the highest rated weight loss supplement on amazon, but as the product has an average, overall rating of 3.0 stars, we find this unlikely. At the time of writing, the product was the number one seller in the raspberry ketones based weight loss supplement category, but this could obviously vary.

PhenElite Concerns:

  • No ingredient quantities provided
  • Customers report range of side effects
  • Suggestions that many of the positive reviews are fake

What Does PhenElite Claim To Do?

The makers of PhenElite make a lot of claims about what their product can do:

  • Our exclusive and FAST fat burning formula promotes rapid fat loss, boosts your metabolism, and allows you to lose 15 pounds or more – quickly and safely!
  • The industry leading fat burning formula boosts your metabolism, while also breaking away stubborn fat cells – giving you the lean and healthy body you want and deserve.
  • Amazing energy enhancers and appetite suppressants minimize food cravings, helping you achieve your goals MUCH faster.
  • Works FAST – Feel the effects in just DAYS!

Our research suggests that some of the ingredients such as green tea and caffeine could help to boost calorie burn by boosting the metabolism and thermogenesis in the body, but that there are numerous ingredients that are unlikely to contribute to weight loss, or don’t have any strong clinical support.

Does PhenElite Work?

When trying to establish whether a product will actually work, we look at the ingredients used, the quantities that they are used in, and also turn to customer reviews, to see how the product works in practice.

Many of the ingredients used in PhenElite have limited or no clinical support linking them to weight loss, with green tea and caffeine being the exceptions. Green tea and caffeine both have support from numerous clinical trials indicating that they could aid a small amount of additional weight loss when combined with a calorie restricted diet and regular exercise. However, the effect is small, and its effects could easily be counteracted by even a small amount of overeating.

Raspberry Ketone has only ever been tested in rodents and in test tube studies, neither of which are a 100% accurate measure of weight loss capabilities. African Mango has only been tested in small trials funded by diet pill companies, and researchers are not even certain of the mechanism by which it could aid weight loss. Resveratrol is an antioxidant, and so could benefit general health, but again, has never been linked directly with weight loss. Acai berry is yet another ingredient that has been wrongly hyped as a weight loss aid, with no clinical evidence at all suggesting that it is a metabolism boosting ingredient, nor an appetite suppressant.

Studies that found that apple cider vinegar had a suppressant effect upon appetite used actual apple cider vinegar, rather than a processed powdered form in a capsule supplement, and so whilst in theory this ingredient could act as an appetite suppressant, in reality, its effects in capsule form are unknown.

What Are The Ingredients of PhenElite?

The ingredients used in PhenElite are detailed below. No individual ingredient quantities are provided, but a serving of two capsules contains a total of 1200 mg of the proprietary formula. Companies often use proprietary formulas to protect their unique formula from being stolen by competing companies; this is a completely legal thing to do, but we really dislike it- without knowing the individual ingredient quantities used, it is incredibly difficult to work out just how effective and safe the product is in practice. The ingredients used may be effective in theory, but if they are used in too-small quantities then they are ineffective, and excessively large quantities dramatically increases the chances of side effects developing.

Proprietary Formula 1200 mg

  • Raspberry Ketone: Although it can be extracted from raspberries, as the name suggests, the majority of raspberry ketones used in supplements is lab-synthesised, as this is a more cost effective option. Whilst there is a small amount of evidence that raspberry ketone can cause weight loss in rats, there have never been any human trials on the potential weight loss effects of raspberry ketone.
  • African Mango Extract (Irvingia Gabonensis): Whilst many of the studies of African Mango have been funded by supplement manufacturers (which makes them automatically biased), there are promising preliminary results that suggest IGOB131, a substance extracted from African Mango, supresses the appetite and leads to weight loss.
  • Acai Fruit: A berry that has been wrongly hyped up as a weight-loss super-food, Acai berry use in diet pills has rocketed in recent years. Acai berry is high in Anthocyanins, antioxidants which may help to protect the body against cancer, inflammation, aging, neurological diseases, diabetes, and bacterial infections. However, any claims that it aids weight loss are unproven.
  • Green Tea Extract: Green tea is high in a group of antioxidants called catechins. Studies have suggested that catechins increase thermogenesis in the body, whilst caffeine increases energy expenditure by boosting the metabolism slightly for few hours.
  • Resveratrol: Resveratrol is a type of polyphenol, an antioxidant, which is found naturally in the skin of red grapes, as well as some other plant sources. Resveratrol has been found to help prevent insulin resistance, and so indirectly could have implications for weight loss in some patients. However, as yet this has not been confirmed conclusively through clinical trials. It is thought that antioxidants in general promote general health and wellness.
  • Caffeine Anhydrous: Numerous studies have shown that caffeine boosts energy levels and alertness, as well as mildly boosting the metabolism. The effects shown in studies are small, and some studies are inconclusive.
  • Apple Cider Vinegar (powder): One Japanese study has suggested that consumption of apple cider vinegar daily may lead to a very small amount of weight loss, compared to consuming water. However, over the three month study, those who took the apple cider vinegar only lost 1-2 pounds more than their water drinking counterparts. It is unclear how a dried supplement version of this ingredient would affect weight loss and appetite.
  • Kelp: a good source of iodine, which is required by the thyroid for effective function.
  • Grapefruit (powder): May Contain Naringin, which is known to extend the amount of time that caffeine remains in the body. This would make the effects of caffeine also last longer. Research also suggests that Naringin enhances lipid (fat) metabolism in the body, which again could have positive implications for dieters.

Does PhenElite Have Any Side Effects?

These ingredients could potentially cause a wide range of side effects. As the manufacturers have neglected to provide any individual ingredient quantities, it is not possible to establish the likelihood that any of these side effects will develop or to establish the actual potency and effectiveness of the supplement.

Consuming large quantities of caffeine can lead to headaches, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, heart palpitations, increased urination, dehydration, jitteriness, dizziness and insomnia. Green tea can also cause constipation.

Raspberry Ketone is under-researched at this time, especially in the large doses used in supplements, and so there are no known side effects. Some consumers of other raspberry ketone products have noted raspberry flavoured breath and burps, but this seems to be the worst side effect reported.

African mango can cause flatulence, headaches and sleep problems. Grapefruit can interact with medications and can therefore be dangerous, as it increases the chances of accidental overdose, and increases the chances of other side effects from medications developing.

Apple cider vinegar can lower blood sugar levels, which could lead to feeling lightheaded, dizziness, and even fainting (which are all more likely if the consumer hasn’t eaten that day and therefore already has low blood sugar levels).

Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Not suitable for those under the age of 18. Consult a physician before use if you or a family member have been diagnosed with any medical conditions. Discontinue use and contact a physician if you experience any unusual symptoms. Not suitable for anyone who is taking any medications, whether over the counter or prescription. Discontinue use at least two weeks before any scheduled surgery. Not suitable for anyone taking the contraceptive pill.

Are There Any Customer Reviews For PhenElite?

On amazon there are over 7000 customer reviews for PhenElite, with an average rating of 3.6 stars. Of these reviews, around 2000 of them are not from verified purchases- as this product is only sold on amazon, this does raise flags about the authenticity of these reviews, the majority of which are positive. There are also lots of positive reviews that note that they received a free bottle in exchange for a review. Below we have found some reviews of the product, all of which are from verified purchasers of the supplement.

I started using these about a month ago and I feel nothing from them. And I haven’t lost any weight. From the reviews I was expecting to have a change in my appetite, but that didn’t go away at all. I am never hungry in the morning and since being on these, I have actually craved food more in the morning than before. I have also changed my diet so that I wasn’t eating as much as I used to, and I have not lost any weight. This was extremely disappointing since the reviews were so good on it.

This is absolutely nothing like phenermine. It did nothing for energy, if anything I had less energy, and was irritable while taking this. No curved appetite, and no weightloss. You’re better off saving your $ and going to a weightloss clinic for the real thing.

Did nothing and I should’ve known NOT to ingest something with SPELLING ERRORS ON THE LABEL. BEWARE OFNON-AMAZON VERIFIED PURCHASE REVIEWS. Lots of people are leaving ingenuine reviews just to get a free bottle to try. Don’t believe the fluff. It’s amazing the lies people will write knowing full well that they never even bought, or tried, the product. If it’s not a review that’s an Amazon- verified purchase DONT BELIEVE THE REVIEW. Product did not work for me.

Great product so far been using it for 5 days, lost 5 pounds all I did was changed my diet. I love the energy boost that it gives me, I am able to get all my chores done throughout the day. No jitter or crashing with this products, no bad side effects for me so far. Update: I had to stop this pill because it brought my blood pressure up so height 185/141 nearly died , be aware of the side effects of this drug , if you’re sensitive to caffeine stay away from this drug.

I received a free sample of this product and so far it seems to be working great.

This works, but I did not have the results that others had. I did feel a bit more energetic which is great, but my appetite was not changed much. It could just be me as others seem to have had an excellent result. I would say I had apositive result just not an excellent.

First let me say that I did receive a free trial bottle in exchange for my honest review. I started off with 2 pills, 30 minutes before a meal. I felt very nauseous when I took 2 pills. My stomach felt unsettled. After that I used just one pill. I felt fine with just one before a meal. I did loose 1 pound each day while using this product along with normal healthy diet and exercise. I tried taking 2 pills again about 4 days later and the same thing happened. I did not notice any foul smells from the ingredients. Different people, different outcomes. I will continue to use this product from time to time.

I’ve only been taking this for 4 days but I’m already down 5 lbs. Hoping for some great results. Doesn’t make me jittery at all and gives me some great energy!!!

Does PhenElite Offer a Money-Back Guarantee?

Whilst is appears that in the past the seller has offered a money-back guarantee through Amazon, this no longer applies. Instead, customers are covered by the standard Amazon returns policy. This does not appear to cover opened supplement bottles.

Where Can I Buy PhenElite?

The product is available exclusively on Amazon. A single bottle costs $24.99 plus delivery charges. A 3-month supply of three bottles costs $74.99, and a 6-month supply costs $119.99.

Each bottle contains 60 capsules, and is described as a single month’s supply.

  1. I have read completely through this watchdog article and since it promotes another product, I am suspect of every word. If this site was completely unbiased, it would be more credible. Each person has to make their own decisions to use any diet pill because the only thing you can trust is your own intuition and results if you use any diet product. The best and proven way to lose weight is through nutritionally sound and healthy food and calorie intake along with an exercise program appropriate to your current weight, physical condition and health. The best way to do this is through your Dr and a Nutritionist. The people who choose to use diet pills are looking for a quick fix. They didn’t become overweight over nite but have unhealthy expectations to lose it quickly. I have been on a weight loss yo-yo for years. The only way, I lost it permanently was by following what I’ve just outlined above. That way, I learned what proper nutrition and appropriate exercise actually is. I have been at a healthy weight for 10 years and am healthy and happy. I hope anyone who reads this will take not only my advise but the advise of your Dr who only has your personal health interest at heart, not selling you a pill that may harm you.Good luck and best of health to you.

  2. Started taking this about 3 weeks ago. Cuts my appetite down immensely. Took it 3 or 4 days to start noticing this, but it does help. Without changing my diet or exercise, I have lost 7 pounds. Not a lot, but a start. Not having any bad side effects. I will order my second bottle tomorrow and continue with it.

  3. I have taken the PhenElite for about 2 weeks now. I take 2 first thing in the morning and no more during the day. I did purchase them through Amazon at FULL price. In the 2 weeks I have noticed that my appetite has minimized, I have lost 5lbs so far, I’m not craving sweets or carbs like I used to, and I have noticed that my stomach doesn’t feel bloated any more. I have not added daily exercise yet, but I am eating a lot less. I have not had any horrible side effects and I plan on taking the rest of the bottle. If I keep seeing positive results I plan on sticking with this and ordering more, through Amazon, FULL price. Hope this helps.

  4. Do not buy this product!! I am so sick!! My stomach is on fire, I can’t see straight, almost passed out. Very bad side effects. 1st day I took the same thing happened but I thought it was a fluke. Waited 3 days took again and bam!! I am deathly ill. Hope it leaves my system soon. What a joke!

  5. I’ve been taking it for two days so far and I’ve felt nothing but cravings. I use to eat maybe twice a day, now I eat about 4-5 times. On the bright side, it’s making me use the restroom more and more frequently, especially 30 minutes to an hour after I eat.
    Its just strange.

  6. okay, I’m about to be totally honest. There are both pros and cons about this product, maybe by sharing my experience you can decide if the pros out weight the cons. if you just want to skip to my experience with it just go down until you see an asterisk *****

first let me tell you about myself. I am 5ft 6in and before I started taking the pills I was 126lb. I know… some of you might say you don’t need to lose weight, but I wanted to so lets leave it at that.

but it was hard for me to lose weight, because I didn’t have that much to lose in the first place, so my body was holding on to the fat as much as it could. plus I LOVE FOOD!! I cant starve myself. I have really good self discipline, but when it came to food I had no will power. so the longest I’ve ever been on a diet was 1 week ( which I shocked I even made).

one day I was looking on the web for good diet pills that actually worked to suppress my strong erg to eat all the damn time. I came across something called garcinia cambogia (forgive me for spelling). I researched it all day and found great reviews. so I ordered it. it SUCKED, it didn’t suppress my appetite. hell.. it made me hungrier. I stopped taking it in two days. in fact I still have a barely used bottle, and one that hasn’t been opened yet. yeah I ordered two that’s how much faith I had in it, but it was a bust. so I gave up on diet pills.

half year later I revisited the idea of a diet pill. I search on google and came across phenelite. I watch videos on youtube, I read the reviews online, and I decided hell one more thing to the list of my diets fails wont hurt. it is sunday, I started uing this on Monday. and I weigh 115. yeah!! I lost 7lbs in a week. when I weighed myself I couldn’t believe it. I thought that my scale was broken. I probably got on and off about 10x just to be sure. I even used someone else scale and it said the same thing.

as far as the product it does what it says. it suppresses your appetite. a little to good, sometimes I had to force myself to eat even though I felt sick, and that what the con is. the way it suppressed my appetite was by making me feel super sick to my stomach. I wanted to vomit all the time. I’m in college, and sitting through a lecture was torture. I could only take a few bites of anything. even after not eating all day, I sat down to eat a *small* bowl of grapes and grilled chicken salad and I could even finish the grapes. I threw the salad away because the thought of eating it made me ill. it has gradually gotten better, but hasn’t completely gone away. even as I site hear now I have aa huge headache and cant bring myself to eat. I EVEN PASSED UP WHITE CHOCOLATE KISSES today!! all I ate was crackers and a small turkey wrap that took me 30 mins to eat. I drank only water and unsweetened green tea this entire week. that’s hat I normally drank anyway.

so what I’m trying to say is that it works. it does everything that it said it would. it suppresses your appetite and helps you lose weight. But it isn’t easy. I cant even eat when I think its okay to. and the headaches and nausea is no joke but I really just want to get off this weight lose coaster and get passed the hump, so I stuck through it, and now seeing that it actually works I think this it for me.

I know this was super long, but i wish i had something like this that was a bit more detailed than ” it works, buy it” or ” this sucked, don’t waste your money” comments that would have made my decision a little easier. so if you made it to the end i hoped this helped. if you have any specific questions just reply and ill try to answer it through my experience.

p.s. sorry for the typos this headache is not letting me think straight right now lol

  7. Well first off I have been taking these pills 1 month now and lost over 20lbs, but the pills did not do this alone. I have increased my work outs to 2 times a day, running in the morning and weight training in the afternoon and i have changed my diet to more natural foods than processed microvable foods. Stay away from flour it is your enemy. This product did help with increased energy, but my appetite was still there. You have to work out and eat properly to lose any weight. No pill makes you lose weight by sitting around. It took you years of eating to put on, will take a while to come off the proper way. In conclusion, this product will enhance your weight loss if you change your eating and exercise habits. It’s not a miracle drug. okay Ciao!!!!

  8. I started taking this product today. I took one capsule 30 minutes before lunch and had to use the restroom 10 minutes after I finished my meal. About 3 hours later I started feeling nauseous, have a horrible headache, my eyes are twitching, I feel so sick. I’m looking at my amazon order immediately to see how I can return this pills. I feel horrible! I rather do it the hard way then feeling so sick.

  9. I started taking PhenELITE on monday i feel great havent gotten any cravings, have energy so far its working. I have stopped drinking coffee since this pill does contain caffeine.

  10. I started taking these on Sunday 10/11. They do not seem to suppress my appetite whatsoever but they also do not give me the jitters or dry mouth as some others have experienced. Since Sunday I am down 2 lbs but I’m not celebrating just yet because I’m bloated thanks to being a woman and that lovely time nearing so I’m retaining water like a koolaid pitcher. I’ve been exercising but I’ll have to get a better handle on my diet. I hope to check back in with you all at the conclusion of this bottle.

  11. I just recieved this product in the mail today! Took one this morning and haven’t had any side effects. I really hope this works because I really want to lose weight and just diet and exercize haven’t helped at all. I will post again after 2 weeks.

  12. Been taking this product for 4 days, haven’t noticed any weight loss yet; however, It has been suppressing my appetite without any mayor side effects. The first night I had a hard time falling asleep but it hasn’t happened anymore since then, will continue to take and review weight loss changes.

    1. Its been 7 days since taking it. Lost a total of 5lbs, honestly it really suppressed my appetite to the point that I really had to force myself to eat, so I’ve decided to alternate days, where I take them one day on, one day off. It hasn’t make me jittery nor increased my energy which it was I was hoping for, cause when I take the pill I feel like I have to push myself extra hard to work out. I feel like the more I take it the less hungry I feel, but will love more energy with it. I feel like it can easily put me to sleep.

  13. First day I took 1 around 12 before lunch it made me jittery kinda scared I got better after 2 hours. I took second 5 pm big mistake I could not sleep anything. After 2 days I only take 1 so far is working better. I ‘ll take it just for a week to see if really does work.

  14. This is my second day of taking the product and do not notice a decrease in my appetite at all. I will continue to try for about another week.

  15. I have been taking the pills for one week now and I have lost 7lbs and the pills make me urinate a lot I noticed and it does make me jittery that’s the only thing I don’t like also unable to get a good night sleep! my metabolism slowed down a lot after I had my hysterectomy last year and I had been gaining weight ever since I had the surgery so I was looking for something to speed up my metabolism I wasn’t a big eater anyway!

  16. I just received my bottle of PhenELITE yesterday and took two capsules. And didn’t feel bad so far and I will keep taking two a day until I feel funny or something don’t feel right then I will stop.

  17. I started taking this product on Monday, I weighed myself that morning. And I weighed myself this morning, Saturday. I had lost 3 pound. I haven’t changed my eating habits completely yet, so I’m positive it was the pills that helped. I’m not sure about the side effects because I have nausea on a regular basis. I like the product and plan to take it for the full 30 day.
