Customers may also want to start with a lower dosage to assess personal tolerance levels.

What Does Phentaslim Claim To Do?

The manufacturer of Phentaslim describes the following benefits for the product:

    • Boost metabolism – Ramp up your metabolism so that you burn more calories and increase your fat loss.
    • Longer lasting energy – Boosts energy levels without that crash and burn feeling, so you’re ready for anything!
    • Suppress appetite – Suppresses your appetite so that you stop snacking between meals.
    • Support mental performance – Supports good mental balance, good concentration and co-ordination.

So What Is Phentaslim and What Are The Ingredients For Phentaslim?

The ingredients used in Phentaslim are listed below. Each daily serving of three capsules contains a total of 1800 mg of the Phentaslim formula. The individual ingredient quantities provided below are per three-capsule serving.

    • Green Tea (375 mg): Green tea is high in a group of antioxidants called catechins. Studies have suggested that catechins increase thermogenesis in the body, whilst caffeine increases energy expenditure by boosting the metabolism slightly for a few hours.
      Source: http://ajcn.nutrition.org/content/70/6/1040.full
    • Caffeine (270 mg): Numerous studies have shown that caffeine boosts energy levels and alertness, as well as mildly boosting the metabolism. The effects shown in studies are small, and some studies are inconclusive.
      Source: http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-living/weight-loss/expert-answers/caffeine/faq-20058459
    • L-Theanine (225 mg): This amino acid may play a small role in weight loss, as well as increasing feelings of relaxation. It may also reduce the negative side effects of caffeine, although there is seemingly no strong clinical evidence to support this claim.
      Source: http://healthyliving.azcentral.com/ltheanine-weight-loss-6800.html
    • L-Carnitine (200 mg): There is some evidence that supplementation of acetyl-l-carnitine can reduce body fat, although the strongest results were seen in the elderly. The ingredient also boosts energy levels and is used to treat fatigue.
      Source: http://examine.com/supplements/L-Carnitine/
    • L-Tyrosine (200 mg): Some people use Tyrosine as an appetite suppressant, but there is little clinical evidence that it is effective for this use. Large doses of tyrosine may be useful for increasing alertness, especially in people who are sleep deprived.
      Source: http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-1037-TYROSINE.aspx?activeIngredientId=1037&activeIngredientName=TYROSINE
    • Panax Ginseng (120 mg): Panax Ginseng is associated with improved cognition in fatigued subjects and slight decreases in muscle damage after exercise. It also appears to reduce fatigue, and consumers report feeling calmer after consumption.
      Source: http://examine.com/supplements/panax-ginseng/
    • Guarana Seed (100 mg): A berry that is naturally high in caffeine, it is often an ingredient in energy drinks and diet pills.
      Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guarana#Other_uses_and_side_effects
    • Magnesium (80 mg)
    • Cayenne Pepper (50 mg): Capsaicin, which is found in Cayenne pepper, is thought by some to play a role in weight loss. Some studies suggest it could suppress the appetite mildly, whilst others suggest that the heat causes a thermogenic reaction in the body, burning more calories for a period of time. However, there are also studies that show cayenne has little or no effect upon weight loss attempts.
      Source: https://umm.edu/health/medical/altmed/herb/cayenne
    • Niacin (20 mg): Vitamin B3, or Niacin, is responsible for helping to produce energy from consumed food, as well as helping keep the nervous and digestive systems healthy. Niacin can be easily sourced in adequate amounts from a balanced diet. Persistent excessive consumption of niacin has been linked with increased rates of obesity in American Children.
      Source: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2874142/
    • Zinc (15 mg)
    • Black Pepper Extract (6 mg): Black pepper extract (piperine) is used for increasing the bioavailability of nutritional compounds. In other words, it increases the amounts of nutrients that are absorbed into the body in the digestive tract. It may also increase the absorption of various drugs, which may lead to potential side effects.
      Source: http://bioperine.com
    • Vitamin B6 (1.8 mg): Vitamin B6 has several important functions in the body, including ‘allowing the body to use and store energy from protein and carbohydrates in food’. Whilst taking excess amounts of vitamin B6 will not infinitely improve this ability, a deficiency could make it more difficult to lose weight.
      Source: http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/vitamins-minerals/Pages/Vitamin-B.aspx
    • Vitamin B2 (1.7 mg): This vitamin is used for keeping the eyes, skin and nervous system healthy, as well as helping the body to release energy from carbohydrates. It is naturally present in milk, eggs, rice, and fortified breakfast cereals, so people should be able to get their daily guideline amounts from a healthy balanced diet.
      Source: http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/vitamins-minerals/Pages/Vitamin-B.aspx
    • Thiamin (Vitamin B1) (1.3 mg): The NHS states that thiamine is important for helping to break down and release energy from food. This may be relevant for maintaining a healthy metabolic rate, but in the majority of cases people can obtain all the thiamine they require from their daily diet.
      Source: http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/vitamins-minerals/Pages/Vitamin-B.aspx
    • Vitamin B12 (10 mcg): Vitamin B12 is naturally present in many foods, primarily meat, fish and dairy products. It has several roles, including aiding in releasing energy from consumed food and keeping the nervous system healthy. It may be that a deficiency hinders weight loss, but taking excess amounts could be, according to the NHS, potentially harmful.

So What Does All This Mean?

Whilst many diet pill manufacturers offer statements and make dramatic claims about how their product works to aid weight loss, very few offer evidence for their claims. The manufacturers of Phentaslim have included numerous links to the clinical trials they have referenced.

phentaslim holding bottleCaffeine will increase the body’s metabolism for a period of a few hours after consumption. The content for each capsule is about the same as a cup of coffee, so spacing out the doses, taking two with breakfast and one with lunch or before exercise will maximize the energy and metabolism boost throughout the day. Theanine will help to counteract some of the “jitters” a few people experience. The inclusion of black pepper extract will likely increase the absorption of caffeine, enhancing its effects.

Green tea and cayenne pepper will both increase thermogenesis in the body, burning more calories in the process. Cayenne pepper may also have a small appetite suppressing effect, although studies suggest that this is small.

Acetyl-L-Carnitine and Tyrosine are both amino acids, so can be used by the body to create muscle mass when the consumer is undertaking muscle building exercises.

The vitamins provided in this supplement are of an appropriate level compared to the recommended daily intake. Consumers should ideally not combine this product with other sources of caffeine or other B vitamin supplements.

Does Phentaslim Have Any Side Effects?

Whilst some of the ingredients used in Phentaslim can cause side effects in a very few consumers who are very sensitive to caffeine, the dosages are well-balanced to be effective whilst making side effects uncommon.

As with anyone who is taking prescription medication, you should consult your doctor before taking a product of this type. Theanine claims to help counteract some of the potential side effects of caffeine, including any jitters.

    Caution:

Always swallow the capsules with water. Do not take if pregnant or nursing. If you have any medical conditions or are taking any medication, consult your doctor before use. Not suitable for anyone suffering from any heart-related health issues, including, but not limited to, high blood pressure. Not suitable for those under the age of 18.

    Any Phentaslim Reviews From Customers?

Numerous customers have left their feedback for Phentaslim here at Diet Pills Watchdog. A selection of these comments are below:

Started taking 1 of these each morning on Wed this week and am down 2 pounds already! Has given me the ability to get out of recliner and be the wife and grandmother Ive always wanted to be! Spotlessly clean house and flowerbeds are weeded. Been to the gym every day since starting these! Has really helped with my hunger and curbed appetite. I pray they continue to help like this!

I received my order in the mail super fast which was awesome. Best of luck to everyone who takes these, they’re great!

So after a full two month course on these pills, I am very happy to announce that I have lost two and a half stone in two months! I would recommend these to anyone hoping to get a head start on their weight loss as the extended energy, fuller feeling of stomach and ease of use make these HIGHLY commendable.

I ordered this product mid-April and am really liking it so far! Have lost noticeable weight (that people comment on). I do exercise regularly anyway so haven’t changed anything there, it’s just given me a much needed boost. The only thing I will say is that – as a big caffeine drinker myself – do not drink coffee while taking this product, at first I couldn’t sleep/was feeling a bit jittery. However when I cut the coffee down that all stopped! Good product if taken correctly!

Two weeks ago I was 20st 11.4lbs. Weighing this morning I am 19 st 11.6lbs. 0.2 pounds away from losing a stone in two weeks.
I have drank only water and eaten clean over the two weeks. The pills are amazing for helping to suppress your appetite but I recommend you have a small amount to eat after the 20 min recommendation of taking them or you will experience a weird stomach until some food is digested. The energy I am experiencing from these pills has really helped me down the gym and has finally kicked me into gear for losing weight. I highly recommend these pills for helping towards your overall diet and exercise plan but that’s all it is. A booster for your diet and exercise. You put in the effort and these pills will help you get the most out of what you do. 9.9/10.

    So Does Phentaslim Work?

Both the ingredients list and the customer reviews we have located suggest that Phentaslim aids in weight loss without the side effects seen in other supplements.

Appetite suppression seems to be very effective for many consumers too, meaning this could help you to stick to a lower calorie diet plan that you may be following.

    Where Can I Buy Phentaslim?

Customers can order Phentaslim from the official Phentaslim website, and have a choice of several multi-buy purchase options that can make massive savings.

    • A single bottle of Phentaslim costs £39 ($69)
    • Two bottles cost £77 ($109)
    • and a “super value package” of four bottles costs £117 ($159).

In general, Phentaslim is a very cost-effective product.

Delivery is FREE on all orders (including international delivery).

Customers can securely pay either through Paypal, or on a Visa, Mastercard or American Express credit card. There is no auto-ship program or automatic repeat ordering, which we particularly like.

    What About A Guarantee?

The manufacturers offer a 60-day money-back guarantee on this supplement, which starts from the order date. This is valid for one opened bottle, and any additional bottles returned should be unopened.

Customers should obtain an RMA number from the company’s customer service department before sending the package, and should mark the RMA number clearly on the outside of the package.

    Watchdog Verdict

Overall, we are very impressed with both Phentaslim and its manufacturer, Optimum Nutra Inc. The company clearly associate themselves with their own products on their official website, provide a company address, and follow high manufacturing standards for diet pills. They offer a 60-day money-back guarantee, the returns policy is clear and easy to follow, and all the information is available on the website. The claims the manufacturers make about the product are supported by references to clinical trials and are not outrageous or ridiculous.

As for Phentaslim itself, it appears to have a solid ingredients profile, using appropriate dosages of the active ingredients. Numerous ingredients used in the product have strong clinical support, such as caffeine and green tea. The ingredients used also have a strong safety record.

The product has been around for quite a while, and the number of positive reviews from happy customers that we found are very encouraging. The customer reviews also support the idea that if used properly and alongside a healthy diet and regular exercise, Phentaslim can help to accelerate the consumer’s rate of weight loss.

We have no hesitation in making Phentaslim the number one choice for consumers, and the editors top selection.

Is there an upper limit to the length of time one can take this (or any other of your approved supplements)? As in, assuming I meet my weight goal, is it okay to keep taking it to keep my appetite in check?

      Thanks very much, in advance,
      Aliza

      1. Watchdog Staff says:

        Hi Aliza,
You should be able to take this supplement for a number of months without any problems. We would recommend having breaks now and then though just to ensure you don’t get used to them.
It’s worth remembering that such supplements are tools to encourage a reduced appetite that after awhile should have you eating less. We certainly wouldn’t recommend taking diet pills year after year.
        Kind regards,
        Diet Pills Watchdog Team

        1. Aliza says:

Thank you – I’ve been on the Mangodrin SF (Stimulant Free) with some decent results – mostly in the form of not overeating. But your review, and the ingredients that are unfamiliar to me are worrisome, so I was looking for a replacement. I’ll try this in the hopes that the added caffeine is tolerable. Thank you again, for your quick response, and for the work you do!

I know over christmas I tend ot put on 4-5 lbs so went on the offensive and so have lost 4 lbs in the last 7 days. Well pleased. Will let you know how I get on over the new year. Cheers. H

    4. Rochelle says:

Will PhentaSlim affect (increase) blood pressure?

      1. Watchdog Staff says:

        Hi Rochelle,
There are some stimulant ingredients in Phentaslim (in the form of caffeine and green tea extract) that could increase heart rate and boost metabolism. So if you are suffering from hypertension or taking any prescription medication we would suggest to speak to your doctor first prior to taking any supplements.

      Hi
Is shipping to New Zealand on their list?

      1. Watchdog Staff says:

        Hi Jane,
Looking at the list of shipping countries on the checkout does show New Zealand so you should be able to order from there without problems.

    6. Bus Driver says:

Hi I am a bus driver and have to have drug test regularly. Is there anything in this pill that will make me fail my drug test?

      1. Watchdog Staff says:

        Hi Bus Driver,
Its good you are doing your due diligence prior to making a purchase. The ingredients in this supplement should be fine though as none of them will trigger a failure in your or any drug test if sticking to the recommended servings.
You may wish to contact the manufacturer directly if you have concerns about any particular ingredients.
        Kind regards,

    8. taisha says:

Is there an energy back lash after you stop taking the pills? I took diet pills that were very similar that gave me a dose of caffeine. When I stopped taking them I was more drained then normal. Do these pills have the same effect?

Also, say you are maintaining a healthy eating habit and exercise, are you prone to easily gain weight when off the pills?

      1. Watchdog Staff says:

        Hi Taisha,
Many diet pills contain high amounts of stimulants, most often caffeine, to give you the energy high and this inevitably results in a low. Phentaslim isn’t crammed with stimulants but carefully selected ingredients that have shown results. Unless you’re particularly sensitive to caffeine, as in 1-2 cups of coffee per day gets you buzzing, then this supplement shouldn’t cause side effects.
One of the reasons we like Phentaslim is the push towards healthy living and realistic weight loss goals. Used alongside a healthy diet and exercise then this supplement can certainly help. It’s worth keeping in mind that no supplement can combat overeating and lack of exercise after finishing the course of capsules.
        Kind regards,
        Diet Pills Watchdog Team

    9. Brittany says:

In the beginning of the review you mentioned the drug phentermine, however it’s not mentioned again. Did you find that this product does or does not contain phentermine? If it does not, then why is “phen” in the name?

      1. Watchdog Staff says:

        Hi Brittany,
This supplement doesn’t contain Phentermine as this is a controlled substance and no over the counter supplement can (or should) contain this ingredient. We will commenting on the trend with some diet pills to include “phen” in the title of the product.
That aside we regard this supplement as one of the better ones on the market not just from the ingredients but the company customer service and money-back guarantee they offer.
        Kind regards,
        Diet Pills Watchdog Team

    10. josh says:

These pills work. I would not recommend purchasing any diet pill if you’re struggling with weight due to a poor diet and /or lack of exercise. Just because you’re taking a pill, doesnt mean you deserve to lose weight. Thats not how it works.. Eat right and EXERCISE if you want to lose serious weight. Pills help but can only do so much.

    11. Elaine says:

I have been reading all the reviews. I have a couple questions. First are these big horse pills or are they the size of say an Alli? Second I take some scrips Lipitor and atenolol for high blood pressure and Xanax for panic attacks. would either of these 3 pills be ok for me to take? thanks for your help. I look forward to your reply.

      1. Watchdog Staff says:

        Hi Elaine,
In terms of capsules size these are your regular capsules seen in most dietary supplements. Regarding taking this supplement alongside prescription medication, as we advised Kitty above, the advice for ALL over the counter supplements is to check with your doctor first. They know your full medical history and contraindications of the prescription drugs you’re taking, as such they are in the best position to know.
        Kind regards,
        Diet Pills Watchdog Team

    12. Kitty says:

Can you use Phentaslim if you are hypothyroid and on thyroxine? I need to lose about 20lbs. Thx

      1. Watchdog Staff says:

        Hi Kitty,
If you’re on any prescription medication then you would need to consult your doctor before taking any over the counter diet pills.
        Kind regards,
        Diet Pills Watchdog Team

    13. Chloe says:

      Hi watch dog team

I’ve only just read about your great company and think that’s just fantastic that you guys can go through all the diet pills around (because my gosh there have been so many phonies and ive wasted so much money over the years!) and work through the scams and tell us the ones that will really benefit us. I’m not overweight, maybe only slightly, just need more control with my eating and a bit more energy for that cardio. I do weights twice a week with my PT which helps, but need to get energy for more cardio to shred the fat. My wedding is in four months you see and I am 5.3ft and weigh 60kgs which isn’t awful and alot of it is muscle but I really want to shed that squishy fat over the top of it all. And I’m a sucker for sugar. (I’m 22 by the way)

So yeah I’m very mindful of food and really try to eat right but it’s a struggle and sugar wins alot. I’m sort of toned but you can see puffiness over my belly etc from the sugar. And I’m pretty good at exercising, getting better, just feel like I need that extra boost.

I tried Phentermine K25 37.5mg which helped me but it was a friend who gave a few to me and didn’t want to be taking something that want prescribed to me. But this sounds like the next best thing? Will it really help my hunger, cravings, mood (I get cranky when hungry and tired plus have had a death in the close family so out came the sugar and doughnuts…) and boost energy? I’ve put on 4kgs since starting personal training just due to the muscle but not eating well enough or doing enough cardio to shred the fat over the muscle. I’m hoping to lose around 5kgs for my wedding in four months. I just need more motivation and discipline and I think something that helps my hunger and cravings and gives me an energy boost will be the perfect ticket.

Do you think that’s achievable in four months? I want to be toned and slim and perfect for my wedding 🙂

You guys have encouraged me to order these pills so we’ll see how we go! Ill keep you updated.

Thanks for your anticipated response and support. 🙂

(Question, I’m new to these comments on pages etc. when you reply to my comment, will I also get an email with your response? Just I might not check this site all the time.)

Thanks heaps! Thinking thin and strong!

    14. ashma says:

Hi, I’m 19 years old and i want to take these pills..can I use this product?
      Thanks 🙂

      1. Watchdog Staff says:

        Hi Ashma,
This supplement, like most (if not all), can be taken by over 18 year olds. There are certainly recommendations though, for instance if you’re taking prescription medication or have any clinical weight issues you should speak to your doctor/physician first.
        Kind regards,

    15. Donna says:

Hi, Is it safe to take this diet pill with antidepressants Prozac in particular?

      1. Watchdog Staff says:

        Hi Donna,
Thanks for your comment. We suggest speaking to your medical doctor about taking any dietary supplements alongside prescription drugs.

    16. sofia says:

So I bought phentaslim and I’ve been taking it for 4 days. During the first two days all I got was bloating and gas. On the third day I got a looooot of bloating, like my stomach was puffed up- I don’t know if this was becasue I also had coffee?- I tried sitting in the bathroom but all that came out was gas! Today I woke up with a mild headache and so far thats all…I don’t expect magic to happen in just four days so I will continue to take the pills for one more week- however if things get worse I’ll def stop. I’ll keep updating my progress.

      1. Watchdog Staff says:

        Hi Sofia,
We would suggest laying off the coffee whilst you initially take this supplement as it may be you’re not used to this amount of caffeine. Certainly the mild headache would explain this.
Let us know how you get on.
        Regards,
        Diet Pills Watchdog Team

      2. Anu says:

Dear sofia, can you please inform your experience so far?

    17. Adam says:

Is it safe to use Phentaslim as well as a antioxidant pill such as Superfruit Slim or Acai Plus Extreme at the same time? If so, would it be wise to alternate days or time of day, weeks, or maybe months?

      1. Watchdog Staff says:

        Hi Adam,
We would suggest taking one fat burning supplement at a time as combining a few at a time may bean your consuming too much caffeine. As you point out Superfruit Slim takes advantage of the antioxidant properties of the superfruits included whilst being a fat burner too. If you’re looking for a stronger product and aren’t sensitive to caffeine then Phentaslim could be a good choice.
        Regards,

    18. Beatrice says:

It is so hard to determine what types of product works verses what will not and is considered to be a rip off so how do I know that this is not another paid advertisement when I haven’t found a link online that will give me reviews from anyone that reside in the united states so how will I know this product work or is just another scam. I have tried so many diets and pills and may have shed the weight but it always comes back multiple and some diets I’ve tried there was no results and that including spending hundreds of dollars from GNC…

    19. sofia says:

also, should I take something else, like whey protein or something along with phentaslim to make it work better/faster?

      1. Watchdog Staff says:

Hi again Sofia. We would suggest trying supplements on their own to ensure you can cope well with them. Their can be the concern (although not with the case of whey protein) of taking multiple supplements that contain too much caffeine and then experiencing side effects.
Feel free to send us an email if you would like more information.

Hi, I want to lose 15 pounds soon- none of my clothes fit me anymore and I can’t afford to buy all new! In the years before it had always been easy for me to lose weight but lately I haven’t been able to shed a single pound. I tried clenbuterol and it didn;t work ( I suspect it was a fake) then started with Ballerina tea and have been taking it for the last 2 months, all it has made me is go to the bathroom all the time but still no help with the weight. I finally stopped taking it yesterday and I will probably stay off of any pills/supplements for a week, just to clean my body. But I was thinking about starting with phentaslim next week. Do you think it will work? If it doesn;t will I get my money back? I work out twice a day every day, and eat mostly healthy and vegetarian.

        Hi Sofia,
Apologises it’s taken us a few days to get back to you, we get hundreds of emails/comments each day.
We have received good feedback about this supplement and others in our approved list, hence why they remain there. It sounds like you’re taking the correct approach and looking at your diet and exercising. If you’re not sensitive to caffeine then this could be a good choice. There is a 30-day money-back guarantee on every order and their support staff are more than happy to help.
        Kind regards,

I have fibromyalgia and take cymbalta, klonopin and a muscle relaxer at night. Can I take this pill with out causing myself harm?

I am interested in trying Phentaslim. My mother is also needing to lose weight. She is over 65 years old and has no health problems. Possibility for her to try Phentaslim? I know she can ask her doctor but wanted to see if anyone over 65 has tried this. Thanks.

I’m 62 yrsv old, male, 5ft 7in. Jan 1 2016 I weighed 200. It’s now Mar. 20, 2016 and I weigh 170 lbs. That’s 3 lbs/week the last 10 weeks. I still need to drop another 30 lbs. I purchased a Spa membership on Jan 1 and workout 60 min/day in the evening and 60 min in the morning every other day. I take PhenTaSlim 3/day, 2 scoops of Golds Whey/day, and Lactopherrin 1/day (300mg). It’s been extremely hard to lose those 30lbs at my age but it can be done. Get committed and God luck! Ps, the only thing that makes me sick are people who say they have lost no weight when they have done next to nothing other than take a pill.

      Hey watchdog team,

There have been 3+ comments directly to your guys about what happens when you STOP TAKING THE PILLS? Any answers? Because you have ignored everybody who asks and that is a real concern for a lot of customers. PLEASE don’t ignore this comment too. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU STOP TAKING THE PILL? (i.e. do you gain the weight back?)

      1. Watchdog Staff says:

        Hi Jin,
Please see our response to question above in comment #67 by Tamara dated 12th July.

      Hey watchdog team,
Just wondering if once desired weight has been reached, can you go off of the supplement without gaining weight?

      Thanks

      1. Watchdog Staff says:

        Hi Tamara,
As with any diet or dietary supplement it does somewhat depend on diet and to a degree exercise after you finish. So if you finished your supplement and then began over indulging in your diet and led a sedentary lifestyle then you could put weight on again. Where supplements such as these can help is by getting you used to eating less and having more energy to be more active.

Can I order from South Africa?

      1. Watchdog Staff says:

        Hi JT,
Apologises for taking a day or two to reply. We contacted the manufacturer directly and they said they used to ship to Ship Africa, but due to issues with local postal services charging customers extra for shipping they have removed this option for the time being whilst investigating other alternatives. They didn’t wish for customers to be charged for shipping by local companies when most of their products are sent free of charge.

      Hi,
I have a 13 year old daughter who weighs 150 pounds and cannot top eating. I was wondering will this pill help her lose weight because no matter what I do hide food, tell her to exercise she still gains weight. I f this pill does not work I am wondering do you recommend anything else.

      1. Watchdog Staff says:

        Hi Samantha,
As with all dietary supplements, that we’re aware of, you have to be over 18 years of age to take them. so unfortunately this or another other supplement is not appropriate.
We would suggest you speak to your local physician who can best advise the course of action to take.

I was interested in knowing if anyone on here is over 45 and having success with this product? Since turning 45 it has been a struggle, even with exercise and a moderate diet. I had a partial hysterectomy a few years ago and showing little signs of hot flashes. I’m interested in any feedback.
