Pinalim Herbal Tea comes from Mexican company and US Importer Grupo Nutrivida + Vida (GN + N), and is manufactured in Mexico. The product information is primarily in Spanish, but there is an English translation for non-Spanish speakers.
Pinalim Herbal Supplement Bags, also known as Pinalim Pineapple tea, is marketed as a weight loss tea and contains some good ingredients, but the principle effect will be down to the Senna. This supplement is a laxative tea and according to all customers, is very strong and fast working; some customers have actually been caught out on the way to the bathroom so be warned!!
Pinalim is a Mexican supplement and is very inexpensive at 30 tea bags for just over $10.00. However, you should not take Senna for more than 7 consecutive days, so it is worrying that you are advised to take it every day for a month.
Some customers have mentioned side effects. These include stomach pain, diarrhoea, nausea, stomach cramps, constipation, and gas.
Other side effects to long-term use of Senna include severe abdominal pain, bleeding from the rectum, nausea and vomiting, and dependency on laxatives for all bowel movements.
Senna can lead to dehydration. Symptoms of dehydration include thirst, dry mouth, fatigue, dizziness, heart palpitations, confusion, fainting, and the inability to sweat or urinate.
Pinalim Herbal Supplement Bags are not expensive. The easiest place to buy is via Amazon where 1 x box of 30 teabags costs $10.72.
You can also buy a double pack of two boxes (60 teabags) for $18.89.
Pinalim Herbal Supplement Bags are on sale from various sellers so you can shop around for price. It is also on sale via eBay.
We are disappointed by Pinalim Herbal Supplement Bags. Had the company not added the Senna leaf, this tea would have been a great health tea with added fibre and multiple health benefits. Flax and green and white tea are good for health, and this combined with the pineapple, we feel that GN + N would have had a real winner on their hands. We probably would have approved it and certainly fancied trying it ourselves.
However, this tea does contain Senna and this is the overriding effect of the tea. Customers, all say this is a very strong laxative and although some people want this effect, it is not good for health or sustainable weight loss. This means we cannot approve this supplement.
Overall, we do not recommend Pinalim Herbal Supplement Bags to the Watchdog readers.

Pinalim Herbal Supplement Bags, also referred to as Pinalim Pineapple tea, is a Mexican weight loss supplement aimed at the US market. The teabags contain a proprietary blend of all the ingredients which adds up to 3g per serving and includes pineapple extract, flax seed, and three tea varieties; green tea, red tea, and white tea. All of this sounds appealing but worryingly, the final component is Senna leaf so this tea will have a laxative effect.
Losing weight by laxatives is a very basic and old-fashioned idea. You may feel that you are losing weight if you are visiting the bathroom a lot, but it is not healthy and can lead to issues such as dehydration, dependency on laxatives, and more. Some customers have complained of side effects. Check out the ingredients tab and the side effects tab to find out more.
Pinalim Pineapple Tea comes from a company called Grupo Nutrivida + Vida. The company does not have an official website, but GN + V supplements are on sale from various independent websites and there is a Facebo0ok page. GN + V products are mainly related to health and beauty such as skin toning and weight loss, and are based either on artichoke extract or pineapple. Pinalim is also available in capsule form, although the ingredients profile looks different to the Herbal Tea.
Grupo Nutrivida + Vida seems to be aimed at the Spanish speakers within the American market. However, customers outside the USA can buy some of their products via Amazon.
There is not a lot of information about the supplement.
According to the product information, which is provided in Spanish and English:
“Pinalim Pineapple Tea is indicated for healthy adult individuals who are physically active and wish a 100% Natural Aid for Weight Control, keeping regular, as well as antioxidant boost.
Pinalim Pineapple Diet tea is a 30-Day Tea designed to help you with Weight Control efforts.
It has a delicious taste and a Highly-Effective formula now EXTRA Strength with the added Ingredient of Senna leaf.
This is the Original Pinalim Formula just made even stronger and ready for USA Sale.”
Pinalim Herbal Supplement Bags are manufactured in Mexico.
Pinalim Herbal Supplement Bags look to be a pleasant tasting drink that is high in fibre and antioxidants. The problem is that the company has decided to add Senna to the mix and in our opinion; this one ingredient has transformed a healthy drink into something to avoid. Taking Senna long term is dangerous for health. Health authorities recommend that you should not use for any longer than 7 days, and only in the case of constipation. Long-term use can lead to dehydration and even a dependency on laxatives.
However if you do suffer from constipation, you may find that occasional use will get things moving but you should not use this tea as a regular part of your routine.
It is a shame because this tea sounds as if it should be sweet and delicious, but long-term laxative use is just not safe. Customer have mentioned side effects such as severe abdominal pain, as well as explosive diarrhoea that has caught some people out away from the bathroom.
Serving size is equal to one tea bag.
