• Plexus BioCleanse

Plexus BioCleanse is a supplement that oxygenates and energises your body and according to the product advertising helps you feel less sluggish. This is the sort of thing they say about detox supplements but with the mineral Magnesium as the principle ingredient as well as some vitamins and fruit extracts, this supplement looks a little different to the usual detox.

We take an in depth look at Plexus BioCleanse to find out more.

    Plexus BioCleanse Pros

    • Although this supplement sounds like a detox, it looks pretty safe for most people

    Plexus BioCleanse Cons

What You Need To Know About Plexus BioCleanse

Plexus BioCleanse is extremely overpriced. If you want to try a magnesium supplement and / or you want to take bicarbonate of soda, a trip to your local drugstore or pharmacy would be a much cheaper option.

In addition although we like citrus bioflavanoids, the amounts contained in this supplement are too miniscule to work.

We like that Plexus BioCleanse looks pretty safe but in truth there is no good reason to take this supplement.

For more information on Plexus and their other products take a look at our investigation into the company: https://www.dietpillswatchdog.com/plexus-worldwide-diet-investigation

What Are The Side Effects Of Plexus BioCleanse?

The ingredients look reasonably safe but Magnesium hydroxide can interact with some prescription drugs and cause diarrhoea.

The Bioflavonoid Complex is in too inadequate an amount to be effective.

How Much Does Plexus BioCleanse Cost?

    1 x month’s supply of 120 capsules costs $39.95.

    Our Verdict On Plexus BioCleanse

You don’t need to “cleanse” your digestive system with a product and if you suffer from digestive issues try eating more fiber and drinking more fluids. If that does not work, see your doctor.

In our opinion Plexus BioCleanse looks like another MLM rip off so there is no way we would advise anyone to part with their hard earned cash for this supplement.

Among the best products we’ve seen in 2016 is one called Phentaslim. Whilst not just containing clinically proven ingredients that have been shown to shift the fat, Phentaslim is very unlikely to give you unwanted side effects.

The makers of Phentaslim are so confident in their product they offer a no-risk 60-day money back guarantee too. To find out why this is our visitors #1 choice in our review here.

    Plexus BioCleanse Review

Plexus BioCleanse is marketed as a digestive health supplement that will help you if you lead a busy lifestyle without exercise and fiber in your diet. The idea is that this supplement provides a source of magnesium to help you manage when your digestive system is out of balance. We are assuming that this means it will help you open your bowels if you are constipated.

    Plexus BioCleanse Facts

    • This supplement is touted as a treatment for digestive health
    • Comes from MLM Company, Plexus Worldwide
    • Each bottle contains 120 capsules

According to the product information Plexus BioCleanse will help clean the gastro intestinal tract and energize your body.

    How to Take Plexus BioCleanse

Take 2 capsules with 8oz of water, twice daily between meals.

Plexus BioCleanse comes from well-known multi level marketing (MLM) company Plexus Worldwide and is just one in a wide range of products associated with weight loss.

    Plexus BioCleanse Concerns:

    • Looks like a waste of money
    • Is Plexus veering dangerously close to Pyramid selling? Only Plexus Ambassadors appear to use the products
    • This supplement is not going to work as described

MLM is a method of selling whereby ordinary people can set up in business themselves, selling the products and recruiting their own sales forces and benefitting from a structured incentive scheme. People selling Plexus are called ambassadors.

We have covered MLM and its darker side of Pyramid selling in a previous investigation.

What Does Plexus BioCleanse Claim To Do?

    According to the product advertising, the key features of Plexus BioCleanse are that it will;

    • Help cleanse the gastro-intestinal tract
    • Help energize the body
    • Vitamin C provides antioxidant support
    • Relieves occasional constipation (that is not associated with chronic constipation, which may be a symptom of a serious disease)

We would have liked to have seen some explanation about these claims and some clinical proof.

    Does Plexus BioCleanse Work?

This supplement looks like a waste of time and money.

If you suffer from digestive issues, you should consult your doctor rather than buy an OTC supplement. Drinking more liquids and changing your diet to include more fiber may help too.

The advertising claims it will cleanse the gastro intestinal tract but that is complete nonsense. Your system does not need cleansing because it is not dirty. The body does not work like that.

In addition, the health boosting effects of bioflavanoids are in too insufficient quantities to work and if you wanted to try sodium bicarbonate for its many health benefits, it costs cents from any store and is exactly the same stuff as contained in this supplement.

What Are The Ingredients of Plexus BioCleanse?

Although the name Bio Cleanse makes it sound like a detox product, this supplement looks pretty safe for most people.

Each serving is equal to 2 capsules.

    • Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid) (150mg): Vitamin C is a vitamin that the body needs but is only obtainable by diet. It is present in fruit and vegetables but can also be made cheaply in the lab as ascorbic acid. Vitamin C helps protect the body against disease and has numerous health benefits.
      Source: http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/vitaminc
    • Magnesium Hydroxide (380mg): Often taken as a cure for occasional constipation, magnesium hydroxide can also help digestion by reducing stomach acid.
    • Sodium (as sodium bicarbonate) (50mg): Soluble alkaline salt with numerous medical uses including as a cure for indigestion and stomach acid. Some people take it as a method of replacing salts following exercise. Believed to help the body become more alkaline.
    • Bioflavonoid Complex (orange peel, lemon peel quince (whole fruit)) (50mg): Citrus based formula high in plant compounds called bioflavanoids which in turn are high in antioxidants. Bioflavanoids can help circulation and the immune system but here in very low quantities. Some people recommend taking as much as 6000mg of flavanoids a day.

Does Plexus BioCleanse Have Any Side Effects?

The ingredients look reasonably safe but Magnesium hydroxide can interact with some prescription drugs and cause diarrhea.

The Bioflavonoid Complex is in too inadequate an amount to be effective.

Not suitable for individuals under 18. Avoid if pregnant or breast feeding. Speak to your doctor before taking especially if you are using prescription drugs due to risk of interactions.

Are There Any Customer Reviews For Plexus BioCleanse?

There are a lot of customer complaints. Many people have found that it does very little.

    I noticed nothing different

I tried 2 bottles and noticed no benefits. Very expensive for no benefit…

    are just two typical comments.

    One user urged caution,

My friend/ ambassador sold me this product. I was willing to try anything to cure my ongoing “gut” issues. I do not need a weight loss regimen but have has yeast / bacterial gut issues for years. According to them, this is a cure all for chronic gut problems. The only thing this product did was give me explosive diarrhea and flu like symptoms until I ceased its use. Maybe it is just me, but I would caution anyone trying a cleansing product without the advice of a MD.

Unsurprisingly the Plexus ambassadors have added their opinions and claimed all sorts of benefits for the supplement.

This woman actually thanks God for Plexus as she writes,

Awesome product. No more leg cramps, and things move smoothly now, but this isn’t a cleanse like you think of when hearing about a cleanse. it is GENTLE. I had an abdominal surgery and had bathroom issues for the past several years since, until this product. I have been using it now for 3 months, thankful that God had a friend in my life that introduced me to this line.

    1. DeAnna says:

A coworker was boasting of Plexus and I decided to give it a try. She highly recommended BioCleanse and has had great success using Plexus products. I wish I shared her enthusiasm – I truly do, as I was very hopeful. I started off with just one pill (as she recommended), and could never take more than one pill per day. Not only did it give me painful gas – it gave me explosive diarrhea (the kind where you run to the ladies room and pray that it’s not already occupied). Every time I ate, this happened. After about two weeks, I felt as if I was passing razor blades – but she assured me that this would pass (no pun intended) if I just stayed with it. I gave it another week, but was so miserable that I determined it was not worth my time or discomfort. Although I’d suffered from IBS in my younger years, I had not had issues with it (for several years) until I took this product. That’s not to say it doesn’t help or work for others – but for me, personally…it does not even rate a single star. Buyer beware, right?

    2. Ron says:

Most people don’t understand how the FDA works. Plexus uses plant based and natural ingredients. Not chemicals and harmful drugs. The FDA won’t allow companies like Plexus to tell everything they’ve proven to be true, they’d get sued by pharmaceutical company’s.

    3. Tiffany K says:

I have had IBS, chronic gas, and bloating my whole life. I thought that was just part of life; at some point we all developed issues with our bodies and we go to the doctor, get our prescriptions and take them forever. I begrudgingly and skeptically tried bio cleanse (alongside a probiotic and Plexus’ pink drink) and I have never felt better. No IBS. No embarrassing gas or bloating. Not to mention my energy levels. I 100% recommend this to everyone I meet. It’s not a weight loss pill. You may want to rethink your article because it’s here to stay. Just ask any of the tens of thousands of lives it’s helped.

    4. Andrea M. says:

I’ve done my research very thoroughly on the Plexus tri products including Bio Cleanse as I’m not one to take “diet pills”. And although people may take these as “diet pills”, please know that if you have had stomach and poop issues your whole life, this is hands down the best product out there to help with those issues. I don’t take the tri products to help me lose weight, I take them because I’ve tried everything under the sun to help me poop on an every day basis and to help get rid of the nasty bacteria in my gut that was causing multiple issues. I’ve been on this for 3 full months now and have never been healthier in my 43 years when it comes to stomach and bathroom issues! I do not sell this stuff so I am not putting this out there to get business. I’ve read every ingredient and spent quite a bit of time learning about the products before agreeing to try them. I take the Plexus Slim, Plexus Bio Cleanse and the Plexus Pro-Bio and my life had definitely changed for the better when it comes to processing foods and using the bathroom every single day! I would say it can help as an aide to losing weight, but nothing is a magic pill when it comes to losing weight. You have to work hard at it, eat right and exercise. It really is that simple folks.

    5. Rebecca Reimann says:

You say there are no reasons to take this, but after the doctors told me to just avoid dairy, half of fruits, and nuts, because of sever pain from bloating and constipation, I decided to try Plexus. Guess what I have been able to start eating, dairy. Soon I hope to add in other items. The BioCleanse helps remove toxins and keeps bloating down and your system nice and regular. I believe this is much more healthy than going without all sorts of foods.

    6. Sarah kehoe says:

Plexus is the best hands down

    7. Sarah kehoe says:

Sorry but I take plexus my mom sales it and she wouldn’t give me anything that would be bad for me sorry dislike this

      1. Courtney says:

Sarah, I assume you meant to say your mom “sells” it. But you should also do your own research.
