In this review, we look at the Pure Research Fat Burner in more detail to see whether it works and more importantly, whether it is safe. Read on to find out what we thought of it.
Pure Research Fat Burner is fat burning and energy boosting supplement by Pure Research. It is a supplement in capsule form which is designed to help keep you motivated and energised with its ‘energy and focus blend’ of ingredients, whilst burning excess fat with its thermogenic and lipogenic blends.
There have been no side effects linked directly to Pure Research Fat Burner However, some of the ingredients may cause some quite serious ones. Please see the ‘side effects’ tab for more information on these.
For a 60-day supply of the capsules, Pure Research Fat Burner costs $21.99 from Amazon, which is relatively cheap compared to similar supplements. If you buy directly from the Pure Research website, it costs $31.99 for the same amount, which is a huge difference.
We know so very little – nothing, in fact, about Pure Research, the company behind Fat Burner. We assume it’s American, but actually, other than knowing it is made in FDA certified facilities, we have no idea where they are based. If we wanted to get in touch with them, it is through an online form. These make us slightly nervous as if they choose not to reply, you have no other way to contact them. For this reason alone (not to mention the huge price difference!), if you do choose to buy this supplement, make sure you get it from Amazon as you have their protection. Pure Research claims to have a 60-day money-back guarantee, but there is little information on how to obtain this.
Looking at the ingredients – nothing jumps out at us as being particularly effective or proven to help with fat burning or weight loss. Instead, it is stuffed with stimulants – some with some quite dangerous side effects. This would make us very wary about taking it. It’s also a proprietary blend – we always wonder why companies are so keen to hide the exact quantities. If they were that sure it would work, and it was effectively dosed, wouldn’t they want to be completely transparent about it? We suspect the quantities of the ingredients are pretty low, rendering them useless.
Overall, we do not recommend Pure Research Fat Burner to our readers.

Pure Research Fat Burner is a supplement made by Pure Research and is designed to help consumers burn fat. This is down to their three blends of ingredients, called energy and focus, thermogenic, and lipogenic blends.
Pure Research are a company based in the US. We know very little about them, and their website is sparse on information about who they are, what they are about and where they are based. They stock a wide range of supplements, from fat burners to testosterone boosters.
As a dietary supplement, take one capsule in the morning. Do not exceed two in any 24 hour period. Do not take past 4pm. Use for no longer than eight weeks straight, followed by an off period of at least two weeks before resuming use.
The manufacturer of Pure Research Fat Burner claims the product:
We can’t say for sure whether it works or not, because the manufacturer has decided not to be transparent and tell us exactly how much of each ingredient is in there, hiding it under proprietary blends. Quite often, this is because the ingredients are not dosed high enough to be effective.
There are plenty of stimulants in here, which may have a slight thermogenic effect. However, to be truly thermogenic, it could do with something like cayenne pepper which will have a much better effect.
There aren’t any other ingredients in there that are particularly known for their brilliance in burning fat, so we don’t think that, other than potentially keeping you awake all night, it will work particularly well.
Many of the ingredients in the Pure Research Fat Burner have some quite serious side effects. Phenylethylamine HCL is a fairly strong stimulant, similar to amphetamine. It can cause headaches, anxiety, dizziness, and discomfort. Yohimbe bark is another stimulant, which is linked to irregular heart rate, kidney failure, seizures, heart attacks, stomach upsets, and blood pressure, amongst others.
There are an awful lot of stimulants in this supplement As well as the two listed above, there is caffeine, kola nut, and green tea extract. If someone is particularly sensitive to caffeine, this can have a whole lot of side effects in itself – from sleep problems to anxiety and jitteriness.
Caution:
Not for use for people under the age of 18. Consult a doctor before use if you have a medical condition including, but not limited to: strokes, high blood pressure, heart, liver, kidney or thyroid disease, diabetes, anaemia, depression, anxiety, other psychological condition, a family history of these or other medical conditions, or if you are taking any prescription, over the counter and/or herbal medications.
There are 25 reviews for the product on Amazon. There are a few that we are suspicious of, but most of them appear to be genuine.
One customer, Chris, claims he is suffering some side effects after taking it for a couple of days:
Only been taking this product for 2 days and my stomach is in extreme pain, I wouldnt of bought this if I knew it was gonna cause this much pain
Another claims his heart rate has increased:
Okay, 1hour after working out my heart is 116bpm. I feel like my heart is gonna jump out of my chest. I thought this was gonna be a great source of energy because all the great reviews guess I was wrong,I wont be taking the risk with my health returning them back.
The majority are positive however, claiming the product works well.
Yes – if you are unhappy with the product, you can return it and have a refund of the purchase price for up to 60 days after your order date.
Pure Research Fat Burner can be bought directly from the Pure Research website, costing $31.99 for 60 capsules. It can also be bought from Amazon, for a much lower price of $21.99.
