QuadraLean 2.0

If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. At least, that’s what it looks like as RSP Nutrition brings out yet another version of its QuadraLean weight loss management supplement – QuadraLean 2.0.

Previously we’d noted a great deal of confusion between what RSP and supplement super-seller GNC had to say about a previous version of QuadraLean – in fact there were so many contradictions in their promotional material we had no idea who to believe.

So now RSP has brought out QuadraLean 2.0. We looked a little closer, and this is what we found.

QuadraLean 2.0 Pros

  • Much safer than the previous version of QuadraLean
  • RSP are open about the ingredients – no proprietary blends
  • Non-stimulant formula

QuadraLean 2.0 Cons

  • Low dosages of some ingredients
  • Inconsistency between versions regarding one ingredient’s DV
  • No information about dosage, supplement facts, or caution on website

What You Need To Know About QuadraLean 2.0

The original QuadraLean contained three different types of L-Carnitine, but not an awful lot of each. It also contained what RSP considered 300% of the recommended daily value of chromium in each dose – 120 mcg.

This version contains exactly the same amount of chromium – but this time we’re told it’s just 100% of recommended daily intake.

Confusing? We think so.

On the basis that users have to take one dose twice daily, that’s a lot of chromium. Although it’s good for you, there’s always the possibility of unpleasant side effects.

On the bright side, the body needs niacin (vitamin B3) to help it absorb all that chromium, and there’s none in QuadraLean 2.0, so there’s a good chance a lot of that chromium is just going to pass straight through without being absorbed.

This version of QuadraLean is also different from the previous version in that we’re told it “may help to activate brown adipose tissue for greater energy expenditure”. The function of brown fat is to keep your body warm by burning calories, and is usually found around the neck, while white fat stores energy for later and is located in the waist and thigh area.

What Are The Side Effects Of QuadraLean 2.0?

In general, everything except the chromium in QuadraLean 2.0 has the potential to bring on digestion and urination problems, irregular heartbeat, convulsions, and confusion, and a peculiar fishy odor to skin, breath, and urine.

Chromium can cause all sorts of other problems which we’ll look at in more detail shortly.

How Much Does QuadraLean 2.0 Cost?

From the RSP website, 90 capsules (30 servings) costs $19.97, and 150 capsules, (50 servings) costs $24.97.

However, if you head over to you can have your choice between 30 and 50 servings for a mere $18.99 either way. It seems the confusion is continuing.

Our Verdict On QuadraLean 2.0

We weren’t very impressed by the total lack of dosage instructions, supplement information, and caution notices on the QuadraLean 2.0 sales webpage. All the other supplements we checked on the RSP website told us what we needed to know, but as for QuadraLean 2.0? No. It appears that there should be a supplement information photo, however the image is broken so cannot be viewed.

As for the product packaging, it’s easy to confuse the original QuadraLean with 2.0 if, say, you’re walking through a supplement shop or scrolling through a web page in a hurry. They look very similar, for a start, and there’s no indication on the labelling that this version is actually an update of the original product.

RSP don’t tell us how much weight we can expect to lose with QuadraLean 2.0, or how long it’s going to take. And their decision to inform us that the exact same dosage of chromium – a potentially dangerous ingredient – is both 100% and 300% of a person’s recommended daily intake can’t help but confuse us.

We’re also a little confused by RSP calling this product “stimulant-free” in that it contains green tea extract, and we haven’t yet found anything or anybody to tell us there’s absolutely no caffeine in green tea extract. And isn’t caffeine a stimulant?

Overall, we do not recommend QuadraLean 2.0 to our readers.

QuadraLean 2.0 Review

Between the original QuadraLean and 2.0, there was a much higher-octane version of the product called QuadraLean Thermogenic. This is the stimulant version of QuadraLean and contains both caffeine and bitter orange.

QuadraLean 2.0 Facts

  • RSP sell a range of over 40 different kinds of supplement
  • Some of the ingredients in QuadraLean 2.0 are on the low side
  • QuadraLean 2.0 is also available in flavored powder form

It’s interesting to note this is one of a few weight loss supplement we’re reviewed to even mention brown fat. At least it’s not claiming to reduce it, because brown fat transfers energy from food into heat, which means other fat cells don’t get the calories they need to accumulate around the waist and thigh areas. And if you don’t have enough brown fat to keep you warm in cold weather, that’s why you start shivering.

How to Take QuadraLean 2.0

Take three capsules on an empty stomach twice daily. For best results, take 30-60 minutes before meals with the first serving before breakfast and the second serving before exercise. Do not exceed 6 capsules in a 24 hour period. To be used in conjunction with a reduced calorie diet and exercise program.

Just as a side note, we’re always much happier when we read that a supplement is CGMP-compliant, as in adhering to the FDA’s Current Good Manufacturing Practice. We didn’t read it on the website or any of the packaging.

QuadraLean 2.0 Concerns:

  • There are only 225 Google results for one ingredient: parodoxine
  • An almost total lack of information about the product on its sales page
  • The difference in RSP’s ideas of daily chromium intake

What Does QuadraLean 2.0 Claim To Do?

From the website:

4 Key Factors:

  • Control Appetite
  • Mobilize Fat stores
  • Increase energy
  • Accelerate Metabolism

Does QuadraLean 2.0 Work?

According to some of the more enthusiastic reviewers, yes it does. Then again, who’s to say how genuine those reviews are (there’s an element of doubt here, but we’ll get to that shortly).

There’s a bit of doubt as to whether CLA – conjugated linoleic acid – reduces body fat deposits, while a certain TV doctor who once called L-Carnitine a weight loss “elixir” has taken that statement back.

Green tea extract is an excellent antioxidant, but according to the RSP sales page, “may” support healthy weight management via increased energy expenditure, which to us makes it sound like somewhat of a stimulant.

So if you’re looking for a stimulant-free weight loss supplement, this probably isn’t it.

What Are The Ingredients of QuadraLean 2.0?

  • Innobio® CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) 750 mg: An Omega-6 fatty acid found in dairy and animal fats. Recommended dosages for weight loss vary between 1.8 to 7 grams daily.
  • Acetyl-L-Carnitine Hydrochloride 500 mg: Helps move fatty acids into cells to be burned as fuel. Recommended dosages range between 630 to 2,500 mg daily.
  • Green Tea Extract 50% EGCG (leaf) 250 mg: An antioxidant which can increase energy expenditure. Recommended dosages range between 100 -700 mg daily.
  • Aframomum Melegueta (Paradoxine®) 25 mg: Also known as Grains of Paradise, helps activate brown fat for greater energy expenditure. When sold by itself as a supplement, the suggested daily dosage is 120 mg.
  • Chromium (As Chromium Polynicotinate [ChromeMate®]): Aids in promoting a healthy metabolism. Sold by itself as a supplement, we find recommendations of a dosage of 1,000 mcg a day.
  • Other ingredients: Gelatin, Plant Cellulose, Silicon Dioxide, Magnesium Stearate.

Does QuadraLean 2.0 Have Any Side Effects?

InnoBio CLA can bring on digestion problems and fatigue.

Acetyl-L-Carnitine can cause digestion problems, dry mouth, headache, restlessness, and a fishy odor of urine, breath, and sweat.

Green Tea Extract can cause digestion problems, irritability, irregular heartbeat, heartburn, dizziness, convulsions, confusion, and ringing in the ears.

Parodoxine can cause irritation of the stomach, intestine, and urinary system.

ChromeMate as chromium can cause damage to the liver and kidneys, allergic reactions, sleep problems, lowering on blood sugar levels, changes to brain chemistry, as in making depression, anxiety, or schizophrenia worse than before, worsening of thyroid problems, and interactions if you’re taking anti-inflammatory medications.

If you have any health condition, are pregnant, breast feeding or taking medication, as a physician before use. Keep out of reach of small children.

Are There Any Customer Reviews For QuadraLean 2.0?

Yes, but not on the RSP website. We went to and looked through the reviews for QuadraLean 2.0 there starting in June 2017. There were 382 positive reviews against 30 not-so-positive ones, so we used the analysis engine at to see how genuine those positive reviews really were. It turns out 41.4% of them were deemed “unreliable”.

Some less-than-positive reviewers preferred the “old formula”.

It didn’t work at all for some people, including one reviewer who said,

Haven’t been able to feel or see any difference while using this product and have consistently given it a chance over this past whole month

And one very grumpy reviewer just wrote “Useless” and left it at that.

Does QuadraLean 2.0 Offer a Money-Back Guarantee?

In other words, no. QuadraLean 2.0 does not offer a money-back guarantee.
