Manufactured by Naturopathica, Reducta Hunger Reduction Tablets is an appetite suppressant, containing just Caralluma Fimbriata to help reduce hunger and sugar cravings. Without any other ingredients contained in this supplement, you should be safe from any too unpleasant side effects.
We investigate whether this is truly an effective ingredient, and what the customer reviews have to say about Reducta Hunger Reduction Tablets.
We look into Reducta Hunger Reduction Tablets to find out more about this interesting supplement.
Reducta Hunger Reduction Tablets are made by Australian company Naturopathica and are just one of their weight loss products in the Reducta range. This supplement is aimed at people who struggle with keeping to a sensible diet and sensible portions and contains Caralluma Fimbriata – a natural cactus plant extract as the active ingredient.
Reducta Hunger Reduction Tablets contain Caralluma Fimbriata as the supplement’s sole ingredient. If you have not heard of it before, this extract comes from a cactus type plant, common in hot climates such as India, the Canary Islands and Africa. In traditional Indian medicine, it is known to work as an appetite suppressant.
Recently it has been clinically investigated for weight loss and there is evidence that suggests that Caralluma Fimbriata can decrease hunger and waist measurement if taken regularly as well as cause some other health benefits. Research is ongoing.
Suppressing your appetite can be an effective method for losing weight and Reducta Hunger Reduction Tablets look good because Caralluma Fimbriata seems promising for weight loss and does not appear to cause side effects.
However, the downside of this is that we feel we have heard it all before and customers should be cautious about getting too enthusiastic about so-called miracle cactus.
Hoodia, also a cactus was once heralded as a natural appetite suppressant, and this turned out to be unfounded. Pharmaceutical companies including Unilever spent time and a vast amount of money on research into Hoodia before it was found to be ineffective (read our Big Hoodia diet pill scam article).
Caralluma Fimbriata requires further research to truly prove the weight loss claims as it is in very early stages of clinical investigation. Reducta Hunger Reduction Tablets contain this single ingredient.
There are other weight loss products in the Reducta range.
This meal replacement drink also contains Caralluma Fimbriata – this time in a patented extract Slimaluma a proprietary brand made by Gencor, plus a range of vitamins and minerals.
The idea of the Shake is that you take it with milk and use as a meal replacement twice a day. We are never sure about the effectiveness of meal replacement shakes because most people simply cannot stick to this regime. However, the appetite suppressant effect may make this easier.
Reducta chewing gum is designed to reduce hunger and snacking. The active ingredient is Satiereal a trademarked supplement which has saffron as its active ingredient.
Saffron is a culinary spice derived from the crocus flower and one of the most highly prized spices in the world.
It does appear to have many health benefits and research is ongoing into its role in medicine. Satiereal was featured on the Dr Oz show as a weight loss aid because it may help increase serotonin levels and consequently reduce the need to snack because of depression.
To use Reducta Hunger Reduction Tablets take one tablet morning and evening 30 minutes before meals. Always use in conjunction with a healthy, energy-controlled diet and exercise program.
All Reducta products use only natural herbal ingredients and the focus is on finding a natural and healthy way to lose weight.
The website includes some dieting advice too with a page on natural ways to reduce your hunger. Tips include eating more fibre, eating apples and drinking water – all easy ways to increase feelings of satiety.
Reducta products are marketed by Naturopathica an Australian company also goes under the name PharmaCare. The address is:
PharmaCare Laboratories Pty Ltd
18 Jubilee Avenue Warriewood NSW 2102
Phone: (02) 9997 1466
The Reducta advertising is low key and the company do not make any wild claims. Instead, they state:
Trying to eat less can be difficult. Everyone has a favourite food or snack, so staying disciplined and achieving your diet can be really hard.
Reducing your hunger can make dieting easier!
We can’t argue with that!
They may work a bit. The active ingredient Caralluma Fimbriata looks promising and without any other ingredients contained in this supplement, you should be safe from any too unpleasant side effects.
Appetite suppressants can help with weight loss but this method of dieting does not take away the risk of giving into temptation. We do not always eat just because we are hungry after all. However, if you are struggling to stick to a calorie controlled diet then avoiding hunger pangs will make life easier – that is if Caralluma Fimbriata really does have this effect. Some customers have said it has helped them stick to their diet.
Its ingredients are scientifically proven to aid weight loss and you are covered by a full 60-day money-back guarantee from a trusted company, making Phentatrim a very popular choice in the diet world.
Phentatrim is the best thing to hit the supplement market in a long time, with thousands of customers already seeing the benefits. That’s why it's our editor's top pick.

Reducta Hunger Reduction Tablets are appetite suppressant tablets that are designed to make dieting easier by reducing hunger pangs.
This supplement contains only one active ingredient so the ingredients list is short and as follows!
This means that the amount contained in the supplement (presumably each tablet) is extracted from the equivalent to taking 6g of the herb in dried form. It sounds as if that should be 600mg but may be much less depending upon the manufacturing process.
Caralluma adscendens var Fimbriata is simply the variety of the plant. There are 120 different variations and this variety is the one that is grown in India and used as a vegetable and appetite suppressant.
Human trials have indicated that Caralluma plays a role in reducing the amount of cholesterol in your blood and improving blood sugar levels, which will help cut cardiovascular and diabetic risks, respectively, as well as the appetite suppressing effect. There is evidence it may reduce waist measurement too.
A clinical test carried out by Victoria University in Australia on 43 overweight subjects found that the experimental group lost on average 5.7cm around the waist compared to just 2.8 cm in the placebo group trying to lose weight alone over a 60 day period.
Caralluma Fimbriata requires further clinical testing but so far, this ingredient does look promising and does not appear to cause side effects. However, everyone does need to be cautious – Hoodia looked equally good at one time until it was disproved by medical evidence and it is still early days for Caralluma Fimbriata.
We covered Caralluma Fimbriata in a previous Watchdog investigation and liked what we saw. There is some evidence that this ingredient may have benefits for health and weight loss.
We don’t really know the dosage of this supplement and even if we did, there is no consensus of opinion around an effective daily intake of this ingredient. According to research;
At this time there is not enough scientific information to determine an appropriate range of doses for Caralluma
Caralluma appears safe for most people when 500 mg of the extract is taken twice daily for up to 60 days.

There may be some mild side effects including gas, constipation and mild stomach pain. The long-term effects of taking a Caralluma Fimbriata supplement are not yet known, and it is not known if this substance interacts with other medication.
There is not a wide amount of independent customer feedback available for this supplement. However, we did find one Australian customer feedback website where people had posted opinions.
Some people were pleased.
I’ve tried Reducta Appetite suppressant and found it to be exactly as it says. It makes you feel full longer and takes away the feeling of wanting to eat more than I should,
This product helped me to stick to my diet by stopping me from feeling hungry
However, there were a lot of negative comments too “Didn’t work” and “Really did nothing for me” were typical comments.
There is no money back guarantee on offer.
You can buy Reducta Hunger Reduction Tablets direct from the product website. The company links to Health365 an Australian health supplement shop and you can find the full Reducta product range on sale.
A pack of 40 tablets (20 days supply) costs AUS$49.99 with free shipping offered on orders over $50.00 (sneaky!) sent to Australian locations. If you live outside Australia, you will need to contact the company to find out international shipping charges.
You can also buy Reducta Hunger Reduction Tablets via amazon.co.uk. A pack of 40 tablets costs £26.34 with the company shipping from Australia. Delivery charges not given.
There does not appear to be a price discount on larger orders. This is a drawback because most of the clinical testing has taken place over a 60-day period. If you wanted to try this out for yourself it would be expensive and work out at AUS$ 149.97 or £79.02 for UK customers.
Reducta products are not on sale directly to US customers.
There is a lot we like about Reducta Hunger Reduction Tablets and this brand with its focus on using only natural ingredients. However, we feel that Reducta Hunger Reduction Chewing gum may be a gimmick and we are never impressed with meal replacement drinks such as Reducta Appetite Control Shake because most people just don’t lose weight successfully with this method.
By contrast, a safe appetite suppressant with no stimulant effects and some positive clinical evidence could be worth a try.
There are a few issues though. There is more negative feedback than positive and although Caralluma Fimbriata may have some positive benefits, nothing is really proven yet. It is important to be cautious. Caralluma Fimbriata has many similarities with Hoodia so we have heard about miraculous cactus ingredients before.
Despite this, if you feel that an appetite suppressant is the way to go, you could do a lot worse than try this supplement.
However, on balance, we cannot approve this supplement until there is further evidence about the active ingredient Caralluma Fimbriata and whether it really works or not.
