Ripped Freak, manufactured by PharmaFreak, is a fat burner containing several ingredients including green tea and caffeine. It supports fat loss and increases thermogenesis, and supposedly, you only need to take one capsule to get you started!
We uncover the truth behind Ripped Freak, and reveal the side effects you might encounter, including a couple of honest customer reviews. We would recommend reading this review for your own safety before purchasing.
Pros
Cons
Below we take an in-depth look to see how effective Ripped Freak really is.
The huge list of side effects that have been reported by consumers is a huge cause for concern here, especially as one customer had to be admitted to hospital after Ripped Freak made him so violently ill. The product contains a high dose of caffeine, although the manufacturers have not released the exact quantity.
This product has divided reviewers, as many people have noticed huge increases in energy levels, and have lost more weight whilst using Ripped Freak than they were losing without using diet pills. The product is not available directly from the manufacturers, and so the product comes with no money-back guarantee. However, it is available from numerous reputable online supplement retailers, including Dolphin Fitness and bodybuilding.com.
Despite the manufacturer’s claim that this diet pill contains unique ingredients, it appears that the majority of the ingredients used in this diet pill are commonly used in other diet pills too. It may be that the specific extracts taken from the raw ingredients are more unusual.
Customers have reported numerous side effects that have occurred whilst they were taking Ripped Freak. These include increased sweating, feeling ‘spaced out’, hearing their own heartbeat, severe crash in energy, jitters, intense and noticeable elevation in heart rate, vomiting, diarrhoea, shaking, acid reflux, tingling extremities and numbness, sensitivity to light, feeling sleepy, headaches, mood swings, stomach cramps, raspberry-scented burps, restlessness, heart palpitations, bloating and nausea.
Bodybuilding.com offer a few different sizes of bottle. 10 capsules will cost $9.99. A bottle containing 60 capsules costs $41.68. A bottle of 90 capsules costs $59.99.
Ripped Freak is manufactured by PharmaFreak, who were founded in 2008. They describe themselves as ‘a dedicated industry leader in researching, developing and creating the world’s strongest supplements – made with premium, clinically-validated ingredients and the highest level GMP quality control standards.’
Ripped Freak appears to be quite strong and whilst all the ingredients are legal in the USA (the country of manufacture), individual ingredients could be restricted in some circumstances; the company warns customers that:
This product may contain ingredients restricted by certain sporting organisations. User must read the label clearly and assume all risks, liabilites or consequences through use of the product. Not intended for use by individuals under 18.
Customers can contact PharmaFreak using social media, or the contact information provided on their website.
This product appears to be high in caffeine, and although the exact dose is not provided, the manufacturers state that a single capsule contains the same amount of caffeine as found in three cups of coffee. This will increase energy levels and may also boost metabolism. Green tea is another ingredient used in this product; the catechin EGCG found in this ingredient will increase thermogenesis in the body, burning calories by creating heat in the body. Cayenne works in a similar way; these ingredients explain why consumers report increased body heat and sweating whilst using the product.
Raspberry ketone has shown promise in vitro (test tube studies) and in rats as a fat burner, but has never been studied for weight loss in humans when taken orally in high doses.
Green coffee bean was thought to be an effective weight loss aid, but the main supporting study was revealed to be fraudulent. Currently, there is no strong evidence to suggest it is a strong weight loss aid, but as a source of caffeine, it could help to boost the metabolism for a few hours after consumption.
Gallic acid is an antioxidant but has no link at all with weight loss. Olive leaf extract may reduce cholesterol levels and lower blood pressure.
The manufacturers of Ripped Freak state that it ‘is a hybrid fat burner. It combines multiple mechanisms of action thanks to one unique formula that addresses key fat-loss mechanisms in the body.’
Ripped Freak supports fat loss and increases thermogenesis, and ‘One capsule is all you need.’
Ripped Freak customers have reported a huge range of side effects that have been caused by the product. This reduces the effectiveness of the product, as consumers should stop taking any product that causes serious side effects.
However, the product also has a high rating of 8.6 out of 10 on bodybuilding.com, and there are customers who are huge fans of the product, stating that they have lost weight faster whilst using the product than without, and that the product gives the consumer a huge boost in energy. Based on the feedback, we would say that this product is strong, and only be consumed by those who are used to taking metabolism-boosting supplements.
Consumers who are taking this product for appetite suppression will also be disappointed- consumers report a huge drop-off in appetite suppression after the first week or two.

There are numerous customer reviews available for this product that have been left through independent review systems (such as Amazon and bodybuilding.com).
First off, I have used a few thermogenics before, primarily OxyElite Pro. Compared to OEP, Ripped Freak seems more stable and consistent and I feel like there’s less of a drop off after a week or so. I don’t feel as “hot” while taking Ripped Freak (as compared to OEP, and I don’t think that the appetite suppression is quite as extreme but it’s very steady overall. I can tell a difference in energy but I have not felt jittery or uncomfortable at all since I started taking it. I’ve almost gone through one whole bottle of RF right now and I’m down about 12 lbs. I will buy another container and keep it up for another few months. I also have not had any issues at all with digestion or stomach problems. Side note: this was a little too strong for my wife. She did feel jittery and uncomfortable.
First I would like to say I did not take this product to lose weight. instead I took it for the crazy energy it gives. I’m 180lb and eat 3 times a day and I did not lose weight while taking this product. While taking this product I felt no need to take a preworkout supplement because the energy this product gives is enough. I do not recommend taking more than 1 capsules or taking it on days you don’t workout. its best to take it early in the morning so by the time night comes you’ll be able to sleep. Every time I took this product my heart rate increased and made me feel hot all day. with little effort I could sweat easily. When I take this product It makes me feel impatient and desperate. After I get a workout in the gym the energy calms dowm and the energy stays stable for the rest of the day. I did feel dehydrated all day so I had to drink extra water
Doesn’t give me the jitters, I can get through my heavy leg days, it gives me a boost during my cardio & I have lost 10 pounds! I’ve only been taking for about a month, so I’ll update my review, if anything changes.
I took just one capsule and within an hour I was collapsed on the floor nauseous, jittery and weak for over 12 hours. I couldn’t move, eat, sleep, talk or open my eyes. Needless to say, I would NOT recommend this product to anyone- unless you enjoy feeling like you’re going to vomit, pass out and die. I will be sending this product back.
I did purchase this product a while ago and tried it continuously. But each time i would feel extremely sick to my stomach, nauseous and dizzy as well. Even felt this way when i took a single capsule as well. Could be caused by caffeine overdose and i would advise caution when it comes to this product.
‘What a great product, my only mistake I made the first i used it, I drank it at 11 AM I had a huge amount of energy, I did a 1 hour gym session and a 2 hour cardio session and 3 AM the next morning I was still awake. Now I drink it at 5AM and it works perfect, lost 5kg in a week with a controlled diet. I love this stuff.
The manufacturers do not sell the product directly and so they do not offer a money-back guarantee.
Bodybuilding.com have a fairly comprehensive returns and exchange policy, and often offer store credit or an exchange if a return is not possible.
PharmaFreak Ripped Freak is not available directly from the manufacturers. Numerous online retailers sell this product, supplying it to a range of countries.
Shotgun, a New Zealand based company, sell a single bottle of Ripped Freak (60 capsules) for NZ $50.00 plus delivery charges.
Chromeshop, a South African based online retailer, sell a single bottle of Ripped Freak for 599 Rand, plus delivery.
Amazon offers a single bottle of Ripped Freak containing 60 capsules for US$29.00 plus delivery.
Bodybuilding.com offer a few different sizes of bottle. 10 capsules will cost $9.99. A bottle containing 60 capsules costs $41.68. A bottle of 90 capsules costs $59.99.
Bodybuilding.com also periodically have bonus offers for this product. At the time of writing, consumers could purchase two bottles of 60 capsules, and get a third bottle of 60 capsules for free.
Dolphin Fitness, who are based in the UK, sell a single bottle of 60 capsules for £24.95. They also have progressive discounts for larger purchases, with two bottles costing £24.33 each, and purchases of four bottles or more bottles costing £23.95 each. They also sell packets of 10 capsules for £6.97 each, and packets of 15 capsules for £7.95 each.
Overall, we are not convinced that this diet pill is ideal for everyone; the reviews on bodybuilding.com are often written by consumers who are bodybuilders and who use fat burners and pre-workout supplements regularly, and yet they still report a high number of side effects. This product may aid weight loss, but the risk of side effects means that consumers are taking a huge risk when ordering the product. Ripped Freak is also fairly expensive, depending upon where it is ordered from – numerous reviews state that they would only buy the product again if it was on sale.
We do not recommend this product to our readers.

Do u need to do cardio or exercise if u use this pill
Hi all,
I have been taking ripfreak in combination with apple cider vinegar, good diet and lots of water for around 3-4 months now, I have lost around 16kg and feel the steady weight loss, suppression of appetite and extra energy is great, I do however get some side effects the jitters, sweats and also slight increase of anxiety and heart rate but this all only lasts round an hour. I would like to know if anyone else has taken them for this amount of time or longer, what side effects they have experienced and for how long when they have stopped completely? If I forget to take a RF for one day I seem to get severe headaches and mood swings.
