Rockstar Super Gal Overview

What You Need To Know About Rockstar Super Gal

Manufactured by Rockstar Nutrition in America but shipped worldwide, it is a brand cleverly targeting women with its various supplements and sport nutrition products.

Rockstar Super Gal is one of the newer offerings, with a multi-vitamin and female support supplement they claim will keep your hormone, health, immune system, and weight in check.

Containing the major vitamins we require daily and a host of more exotic sounding ingredients, such as Bilberry, Wild Yam, and Spirulina, it promotes itself as a superfood packed super vitamin.

One pack contains 60 capsules that should be taken once daily for best results. But if you do not experience the results you hoped for, they do not offer a money-back guarantee.

What Are The Side Effects Of Rockstar Super Gal?

There are many potential side effects with taking this supplement, such as stomach upset, headache, sleeplessness, and irregular heartbeat, plus not all the ingredients are suitable for a healthy female population.

How Much Does Rockstar Super Gal Cost?

At $29.95 for one bottle containing 60 pills, it should last a couple of months if used once daily. This does not make it one of the most expensive supplements out there.

Our Verdict On Rockstar Super Gal

Unfortunately, we cannot rate this supplement too highly, because it is containing a variety of proprietary blends of herbal ingredients, which we cannot say are safe or effective to take without knowing the quantities involved.

Even if we did, there are ingredients in Rockstar Super Gal that are likely to interfere with hormone balance, which may not be good for certain women, and may also be dangerous. There are side effects and risks associated with some ingredients, such as its ability to stop your birth control working.

Overall, we do not recommend Rockstar Super Gal to our readers.

Rockstar Super Gal Key Features

We all look for products that talk specifically to us and with a great many vitamins and supplements on the market today, if we can select one based on gender, it makes the choices seem less overwhelming. But is there any basis to this female health supplement?

Rockstar Super Gal Facts

  • One bottle contains 60 pills
  • Rockstar are based in the USA
  • You can now buy products directly from their website

Rockstar Super Gal claims to promote all-round woman wellness, specifically supporting bones, joints, heart, skin, and nails, and boosting your immune system. It reportedly helps provide energy and holistic wellness to keep you feeling your best every day. But some of these claims are difficult to see or quantify, and therein lies the problem.

How to Take Rockstar Super Gal

Multivitamin for women. Take Rockstar Super Gal daily for best results. Complete multivitamin for women to enhance heart health, bone support, and general energy and wellbeing.

Furthermore, they say that it contains support for the female hormone system but many of the ingredients are experimental at best and seem to be targeted more to menopausal women, which the marketing blurb does not warn you about, funnily enough.

Rockstar Super Gal Concerns:

  • There is no money-back guarantee on products and they were offering customers a free bottle of pills for each review
  • Some of the ingredients are known to interfere with birth control
  • There are several proprietary blends in this supplement which may not be safe or effective

Particularly if you are a woman taking birth control, look out, as this supplement could interfere with it!

What Does Rockstar Super Gal Claim To Do?

Claiming to be your everyday female support system, Rockstar Super Gal says it is designed for woman only, as it contains a special blend of herbal ingredients that will look after female health, from bones and joints, to skin and nails. It is a one-stop shop to feeling your glossy best.

Does Rockstar Super Gal Work?

Is this product any more than just a clever, pretty design that catches the eye of overloaded consumers who will do almost anything to make quicker, easier choices for their supplement needs? In our opinion, no. Sure, there are several herbal ingredients purportedly for female health, but many are for women experiencing menopausal symptoms. It does not tell you this anywhere on the packaging.

What Are The Ingredients of Rockstar Super Gal?

As well as a generic list of vitamins, it contains the following:

Female support blend (192mg)

  • Wild Yam Extract: Wild Yam Extract, or Dioscorea villosa, is a species of wild yam that is claimed to be helpful for the menopause because it can help balance hormones. However, currently there is no clinical evidence to support it. There have been reported cases of kidney and liver damage from taking supplements of yam extract, so care should be taken with doses and the amount of time it is consumed for. There does not appear to be any safe dose recommended currently and so it is best avoided. It may also cause vomiting in some people. Source
  • Red Clover: A bioactive isoflavone that is thought to be useful in the treatment of menopausal symptoms like hot flashes, but this is only relative to placebo, which also has good results on similar symptoms. This does not provide us with great confidence in its abilities. It can cause rash-like reactions, muscle ache, headache, nausea, and vaginal bleeding (spotting) in some women, and interact poorly with birth control, so do not take it if you are trying to avoid getting pregnant. Although, some sources say that taking up to 80mg a day is optimal, there is in fact no safe dose known. Source
  • Lutein: Found in green veggies and colorful fruits, is thought to be an effective eye vitamin that protects from glaucoma and cataracts. It may be marketed as a female ingredient because it is believed to have some uses in preventing breast and cervical cancers but does not have any medical evidence to back it up. 15mg daily is thought to be a safe dose. Source
  • Cranberry Extract: Taken from the boggy shrub it grows on, is often used in the treatment of urinary tract infections. Too much cranberry juice can cause some unpleasant side effects such as mild stomach upset and diarrhea. There is also an increased risk of kidney stones. 400-500mg is thought to be the most effective dose of the extract but need only be used when a recurring infection occurs.
  • Alpha Lipoic Acid: Often called the anti-aging compound because it is useful to reducing inflammation and oxidation, which occurs from environmental damage and age-related decline. It is also thought to be useful for regulating energy metabolism which can slow with age. Minimum 100mg daily is thought to be beneficial in treating aging skin but as this whole proprietary blend is only 192mg it is unlikely to be present in doses that will achieve results. It can also skin rash in some individuals who take it as a supplement. Source
  • Lycopene: Believed to be helpful in fighting certain kinds of cancer, especially breast cancer, although little is understood about why or if it does work. It is an anti-oxidant which is responsible for colour pigmentation in bright vegetables and fruits, and so is likely to have some general health benefits. Around 22mg or more is required daily in food but at this time, not much is known about optimal supplemental doses.

Immune blend (115mg)

  • Echinacea: A herb commonly used to fight the common cold and flu virus, and possibly prevent frequent occurrences of illness. Doses of upward of 300mg three times daily are thought to be optimal, so it is very under dosed here. People have experienced side effects when taking Echinacea, such as vomiting, sore throat, bad taste, stomach pain, diarrhea, dry mouth, headache, numbness, difficulty sleeping, dizziness, joint and muscle ache, and sometimes it can cause itchiness and rash on the skin.
  • Goldenseal Root: A herb used in traditional medicine for a host of uses, none of which have been proven medically. Most commonly it may be used to treat colds and menstrual irregularities but there is insufficient evidence for this. Goldenseal has not been proven safe or side effect free for supplementation so is best avoided. It can be particularly dangerous for pregnant or nursing mothers.
  • Spirulina: An algae that is used to treat diabetes, metabolism disorders, stress, and to increase protein. It is thought to be a general health-giving ingredient which boosts the immune system. It is also used to treat menopausal symptoms in women, such as anxiety and depression, but does not seem to influence hot flashes or other issues. However, it comes with risks as not all algae are safe and if contaminated may cause symptoms such as stomach upset, nausea, thirsty, rapid heartbeat, weakness, liver damage, and shock.
  • Garlic: Often added to food for flavor, but also has a variety of medicinal benefits in common culture. Hailed for warding of colds, its pungent scent is also used to prevent insect bites. It is believed to have some uses in treating menstrual problems and warding off breast cancer, but there is no hard-scientific evidence to prove so. There may also be side effects taking garlic long term as a supplement, such as heartburn, gas, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and bad breath. It may also cause more bleeding, so is not suitable for those on medication or about to undergo surgery. 300 to 1500mg of garlic is needed to create results.

Antioxidant blend (187mg)

  • Green Tea: An antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, so is believed to be a general health product. Often consumed in a tea, it is also commonly used in supplements as a fat burner and metabolism booster. It has been linked to protecting against cervical cancers but there is no evidence to support it at present. Doses upwards of 200-400mg daily are needed to experience benefits and may come with side effects such as sleeplessness, irritability, nervousness, stomach upset, constipation, dizziness, headache, vomiting, convulsions, confusion, ringing in the ears, and irregular heartbeat, among others.
  • Hawthorn Berries: Comes from the shrubby plant that grows wild in hedgerows, and its berries and leaves are often used for medicine. It is believed to be good for circulation and conditions of the heart but only for short term use. If used for longer or in higher doses it may cause fatigue, stomach upset, palpitations, nosebleeds, insomnia, agitation, sweating and other problems. As it is only effective for heart conditions at present, doses from 160mg several times daily have been trialed but may not be suitable for healthy individuals.
  • Cinnamon: A warming spice often used in cooking to provide flavor, however, it is also sometimes used as a fat burner, despite there being little evidence of it.
  • Bilberry: Has sometimes been used for painful menstruation, but there is limited evidence that it is effective in treating PMS.
  • Grape Seed Extract: Thought to be useful for treating menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes but must be taken in doses over 200mg daily for over 8 weeks to be effective, so is very underdosed here.

Are There Any Customer Reviews For Rockstar Super Gal?

Rockstar Super Gal currently does not have any reviews, but the other products have. If they are anything to go off, this nutrition brand have had a luke warm response from customers.

A reviewer comments,

I was hoping these would live up to the hype, they didn’t. I won’t be buying them again

And another says,

Not worth the money. Buy something else.

Others say that products have helped curb their appetite or they have noticed energy improvements, but it is not clear if they have achieved weight loss as a result.

Older reviews reference that customers were being offered a free bottle of the product if they had not achieved any results, which may mean reviews are biased and not to be believed.

Does Rockstar Super Gal Offer a Money-Back Guarantee?

The Rockstar Nutrition website explicitly states that they do not offer a money-back guarantee and instead refunds are subject to a 30-day return with the product in the same condition as when it was bought. They say they require time to consider whether a refund may be applicable, so we are doubtful it will be that straight forward.

Amazon does not refer to a money-back guarantee either, although it does on other products, and so we assume it adheres to the Amazon standard returns terms of 30 days, with the packaging unopened.

Where Can I Buy Rockstar Super Gal?

Rockstar Super Gal is available to buy on Amazon for around $29.95, although it says it is at a reduced price for a limited period, so there may be strings attached.

It is also available from the merchant’s website for the same price, (not discounted) and can be purchased using PayPal.
