Slim 3 uses 3-in-1 weight loss formula to help you burn more fat and maintain a healthy body weight. It is supposed to enhance your body’s thermogenic properties to trigger fat loss. Is it any better than other fat-loss supplements in the market? Here is our review to help you make a decision.
Slim-3 claims to be one of the very best weight loss supplements with proven natural ingredients. By combining green coffee bean extract, raspberry ketones, and Garcia Cambogia, it claims to improve your body’s thermogenic properties, which is supposed to help you lose weight quickly and keep it off as well. It is available in pill form and you have to take it regularly to keep your body from processing sugars and fat. The manufacturer says that you can eat as much as you want without having to worry about gaining weight. In reality, things are different, as the ingredients in Slim-3 do not have sufficient scientific evidence to support all the claims the company makes.
Slim-3 is supposed to deliver great results without causing any side effects, but that is not the case actually. Many customer reviews show that the use of Slim-3 is associated with side effects like nausea, headaches, and irritability. It is not safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women. If you buy Slim-3 directly from Amazon, you can now get it for $9.99. Keep in mind that you only get a 16-day supply.
Slim-3 claims to work because it uses a 3-in-1 formula that is supposed to help your body limit the absorption of fats and sugars. The manufacturers say that their formula is so powerful that you will lose weight even if you continue to eat whatever you want. In reality, this is not how you get to lose weight. The healthy way to lose weight is to exercise more and eat a balanced, low-calorie diet. You cannot find any clinical data that support the claims made by Slim-3, and even if it works a little, it is likely to be harmful for kidneys and liver, as that is what some customer reviews suggest. The FDA has not certified this product, and has actually issued a warning regarding the harmful effects of Slim-3 on your body. Even the individual ingredients are not that impressive and do not work as natural fat burners. So, avoid Slim-3 and opt for something more affordable yet effective!

Slim 3-in-1 is a new weight-loss product that combines three popular ingredients for weight loss – it has Garcinia Cambogia, green coffee extract, and raspberry ketones. The manufacturer makes green coffee beans extract look like the best weight loss ingredient. Similarly, Garcinia Cambogia extract is touted as ‘staggering’, ‘magic’, and ‘unprecedented’. You will hear similar things for raspberry ketones. Does this mean you should believe all the hype and put your money on Slim-3 that combines these three ingredients? We do not think so, especially because there is not enough scientific evidence to confirm that the combination of these three ingredients will produce significant results and help you lose weight quickly.
Garcinia Cambogia is a sweet, purple fruit with an ingredient called hydroxycitric acid (HCA). It is thought that HCA can help block fat and suppress your appetite at the same time. Unfortunately, there is no reliable scientific evidence that HCA offers such benefits in humans. There are certainly some test tube and animal research suggesting that Garcinia Cambogia with its active ingredient may improve metabolism. There are a few studies conducted in humans, but they have shown mixed results. Moreover, most of those studies involved very small samples only.
It is worth mentioning that even some studies have shown that Garcinia Cambogia may help with weight loss, but the effects are not that significant.
A review published in the Journal of Obesity found that people who took Garcinia Cambogia in studies lost about 2 pounds more than people who didn’t take it. The reviewers couldn’t say for sure that the weight loss was because of the supplement. It could have been from the lower-calorie diet and exercise programmes the people in the studies typically followed. Better studies are needed to find out if HCA really helps people lose a lot of weight and keep it off.
In terms of lowering weight, existing evidence to support the effectiveness of Garcinia Cambogia is not enough. For instance:
A 12-week, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled study published in JAMA found that the supplement didn’t help with significant weight loss or decrease in fat mass. Both the control and Garcinia group were placed on high-fibre, low-calorie diets.
In terms of making you feel full, Garcinia Cambogia was not that impressive either. For instance:
An extensive review of the existing research on Garcinia Cambogia determined that there simply wasn’t conclusive evidence to suggest that the supplement or HCA had any effects on appetite and satiety. Despite some rodent studies having such positive results, no human studies could replicate them.
Many randomly controlled trials (RCTs) have also suggested that even when HCA generates weight loss it works only on a short-term basis. In fact, researchers say that the magnitude of this effect is not statistically significant, especially when you consider rigorous RCTs only.
Another issue is that even if Garcinia Cambogia works because of its HCA content, it is hard to determine exactly how much of HCA is present in different supplements. An independent analysis has found that many brands contain far less HCA than claimed. Slim-3 claims to provide you with 60% HCA, but that does not seem to be the case considering how ineffective many customers have found it. Moreover, some studies suggest that you may have to take about 1000 mg of Garcinia Cambogia before each meal to see its good effects, but you should avoid taking this much of if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have diabetes, or are suffering from some forms of dementia.
You have to take 1 serving, which is 3 caplets, about half an hour before breakfast and then another serving about 30 minutes before your afternoon meal with a full glass of water. Never take more than 2 servings in one day.
Green coffee bean extract is another ingredient found in Slim-3. It is supposed to help you lose weight by providing you with chlorogenic acid that acts as an antioxidant. Green coffee extract (GCE) is obtained from unroasted coffee beans, which is the reason why they contain higher levels of chlorogenic acids as compared to extract obtained from roasted coffee beans.
While chlorogenic acid may help improve overall health, there is not enough scientific evidence to support its weight-loss claims. In fact, studies are quite contradictory:
The evidence from RCTs seems to indicate that the intake of GCE can promote weight loss. However, several caveats exist. The size of the effect is small, and the clinical relevance of this effect is uncertain. More rigorous trials with longer duration are needed to assess the efficacy and safety of GCE as a weight-loss supplement.
It is also important to mention that many studies show that the use of GCE may not produce significant changes in your body weight, and this change is only evident in overweight/obese subjects. Many researchers say:
The paucity of data, inconsistent methodology, and low quality of currently available studies limited the conclusiveness of this analysis. Studies are needed to determine a mechanism of action for GCBE, and larger multisite clinical trials of high quality and consistent design are needed to elucidate the long-term effects and safety of GCBE supplementation on weight loss in normal weight, overweight, and obese subjects.
Another problem is that most human studies have shown contradictory results. Moreover, the effect of green coffee extract is not examined on muscle mass maintenance, body composition changes, serum adipocytokins levels, and other obesity-related metabolic parameters. That is the reason why it is not enough to say that a supplement that provides you with green coffee extract is going to result in significant fat loss.
Raspberry ketones are also included in Slim-3. The manufacturer claims that this ingredient can help trigger fat loss, as it disrupts lipid metabolism. You need to know a few things about raspberry ketones first. Even though the manufacturer says Sim-3 includes natural ingredients, it is insanely expensive to extract raspberry ketones from raspberries. You need 2.2 pounds of raspberries to extract only 1–4 mg of raspberry ketones. Because of this process, most manufacturers make it synthetically in a lab. It means that it is quite possible that Slim-3 is not a natural product.
In terms of weight loss, the ingredient has not been scrutinised in many studies. Whatever little research is available is based on mice or conducted in test tubes. In a study, it was found that when mice were fed a high-fat diet along with raspberry ketones, the fat levels did not rise quickly. Unfortunately, you cannot use this study to confirm that the ingredient works in the same way in humans too.
An expert on obesity and nutrition issues, in the Bariatric Medical Institute in Ottawa, highlighted several shortcomings in the mouse study. First, the animals were fed high doses of raspberry ketones – about 2 per cent of their body weight. That would translate to far more than a human would be likely to consume on a daily basis for a prolonged period.
You cannot find a single study about the effects of raspberry ketones in humans. There is one study but that used a combination of raspberry ketones, caffeine, capsaicin, garlic, synephrine, and ginger. It was an 8-week study.
In this 8-week study, the participants lost 7.8% of their fat mass, compared with the placebo group which lost only 2.8% (both groups also cut calories and exercised). However, it is highly possible that the raspberry ketones had nothing to do with it. It could have been the caffeine or any of the other herbs.
It is also found that raspberry ketones work by driving stress hormones, which is never a good thing and can actually lead to several side effects, such as increased heart rate and palpitations.
What it means is that it makes no sense to put your money on Slim-3 to help lose weight. There is no scientific evidence to back the claims it makes. We believe it is always better to lose weight the old way – pay attention to your diet, eat fewer calories and burn more through exercise to lose weight. Or take a supplement that contains scientifically proven ingredients.
Slim-3 uses a 3-in-1 formula and provides you with green coffee bean, Garcinia Cambogia, and Raspberry ketones. By combining these three ingredients, it is supposed to help you in many ways. Here are some of its claimed benefits:
Slim-3 claims to be a natural weight loss supplement, but it seems that they use synthetically made raspberry ketones because it is not possible to sell a supplement that contains natural raspberry ketones at $9.99 only. Other ingredients are green coffee extract and Garcinia Cambogia, both of which have no concrete scientific evidence to support their weight-loss claims. There is no clinical data available to back Slim-3 formula. As there is not enough scientific evidence and customer reviews are not that impressive either, it would not be wrong to suggest that Slim-3 fails to work as claimed.
Slim-3 combines three popular ingredients to help you lose weight. Here is what you find in this weight loss supplement:
The use of Slim-3 may cause side effects because it contains Garcinia Cambogia. Some people have complained about dealing with stomach upsets and headaches, while others have complained about developing a fine skin rash.
It also has green coffee extract that also contains caffeine. Intake of caffeine may lead to certain side effects, such as restlessness, trouble sleeping, frequent urination, increased heart rate, anxiety, and upset stomach.
Consult a physician before use if you have been treated for, diagnosed with, or have a family history of any medical condition. This list includes but not limited to iron deficiency, diabetes, low blood sugar, metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular conditions, gastrointestinal conditions, liver or kidney disorder. Avoid it if you are taking monoamine (MAO) inhibitors, blood thinners such as warfarin, or any other prescription or over-the-counter medication. Discontinue use and immediately inform a physician if you experience abdominal pain, dark urine, jaundice or other comparable symptoms.
Slim-3 is not effective, at least that is what customer reviews say. Here are a few examples:
We didn’t see many side effects, but the supplement didn’t seem to be working either.
Do not waste your money. Another gimmick. These do not work and they are expensive.
It’s all right. I would prefer something else for the price. If you do want to see change, invest money on something better.
Honestly? It does not work. I have tried to lose weight with this thing. I didn’t lose anything.
