SuperBeets is a health supplement derived from beetroot that is said to help boost your nitric oxide levels, and so improve cardiovascular health as well as increase endurance levels. It comes from a company called HumanN, and is in the form of a crystallised powder that can be added to food or is more usually mixed with water to make a drink. The company claims that you just need one teaspoon of SuperBeets, and it will provide the Nitric Oxide equivalent of three whole beets.
Pros
Cons
Below we take an in-depth look at SuperBeets to see how this health drink can benefit the consumer, and whether it is worth the cost.
SuperBeets is a nitric oxide supplement that can be mixed with water, or even added into recipes, some of which are provided on the official product website. Nitric oxide can improve endurance and reduce fatigue, as well as improve cardiovascular health, but it should not take the place of prescribed medications, and it can lower blood pressure significantly. Consult your doctor if you are unsure if it is a suitable supplement for you.
The main side effect of SuperBeets is that it can lower blood pressure levels significantly, making it unsuitable for anyone who already has low blood pressure, or for anyone who is taking blood pressure medication. It can also cause some stomach discomfort. The full list of potential side effects and health restrictions of whom cannot take this supplement are detailed below in the Side Effects section.
The price of SuperBeets varies hugely depending upon the size of each purchase. There are significant discounts available for purchasing in bulk or for ordering on an auto-ship programme, where consumers receive a new delivery either monthly, or every three months. We do not recommend auto-ship programmes, as they are easy to forget about, and can cost the consumer far more in the long run. A single canister of SuperBeets, with no discounts, costs $39.95 plus delivery charges, and contains 30 servings, enough for a month of continuous use.
SuperBeets is a Nitric Oxide supplement that is thought to help promote Nitric Oxide production, healthy circulation, healthy blood pressure levels, and improved energy and stamina. A single serving contains the same amount of Nitric Oxide found in three whole beetroots, according to the manufacturers.
SuperBeets is manufactured by a company called HumanN (previously known as Neogenis Laboratories). The company focuses solely on Nitric Oxide related supplements and Dr. Nathan Bryan, the company’s Chief Science Officer and co-founder, “has committed his life’s work to the field of N-O research”. The ‘Why HumanN’ section of the website briefly refers to the Nobel Prize that was awarded to researchers who linked N-O with cardiovascular health; we feel that it is not made clear enough that Dr. Bryan was not a part of the research team that won the Nobel Prize.
Mix one teaspoon with four ounces of water and enjoy it as a quick, refreshing drink. Each canister contains a one-month supply, or thirty servings. Make sure to store the canister in a cool, dry place and use within 45 days of opening.
HumanN can be contacted using the information provided on their official website. We have also included their address and phone number below, in the Money Back Guarantee section.
SuperBeets comes in two flavours, original (with natural apple flavouring) and natural black cherry. According to the manufacturers, one of the biggest advantages to SuperBeets is that you can get all the benefits of beetroots, without having to eat them regularly, or drinking beetroot juice, which makes it ideal for anyone who dislikes the taste of beetroot.
According to the official website:
One teaspoon, or the recommended serving, has the nitric oxide equivalent of three whole beets, helping promote:
A single serving of SuperBeets apparently contains the same Nitrate content as three beetroots. However, this is a very vague quantity, and it is difficult to tell how much this is in reality, especially comparing it to the recommended Nitrate serving. Examine.com suggests that 500 grams of beetroot would provide enough nitrate for a daily serving for a 150 lb person. 500 grams appears to be about three average sized beetroots; therefore, in theory, a serving of SuperBeets does provide enough Nitrates for a 150 lb person.
There is clinical evidence that strongly suggests that Nitrates from Beetroot are used by the body for Nitric Oxide production, and there is significant evidence that nitric oxide plays numerous positive roles in the body, including combating fatigue and enhancing endurance.
In general, it does appear that SuperBeets will work to increase Nitric Oxide levels in the body, which has numerous health benefits. For heavier consumers, a single serving may be insufficient, as the dosage is established using the consumer’s weight. Stick within the recommended daily serving unless your doctor instructs you to take a higher dose.

The potential side effects of SuperBeets appear to be minimal, at least in healthy individuals. We found no mention of side effects developing in the customer reviews we found.
Because nitric oxide affects blood vessels, a decrease in blood pressure is a potential side effect. Symptoms associated with low blood pressure include headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, nausea, vomiting, and loss of balance. If you already have low blood pressure, consult your doctor before purchase.
Nitric Oxide supplements can also cause stomach discomfort, including nausea, stomach cramps and an increase in bowel movements. Again, we found no reports of these side effects in the customer reviews for SuperBeets, but that does not necessarily mean that these side effects won’t occur at all.
There are numerous customer reviews for this product on the official Superbeets website. The majority of customer reviews are positive.
We noticed a change right away. No more sluggish days. We are much more alert and energetic. The taste isn’t too bad (black cherry) but we don’t like the smell.
I’ve not been satisfied with how this blends after your formula changed earlier this year (2016), just about the time you changed to HumanN. From what I can tell you added the fermented beet powder where the previous product version didn’t have it. Whatever changed, now I can’t fully dissolve the current blend and constantly get clumps of beet powder with each drink I make in plain water. I had just got the 3 pack because I really enjoyed how easy the previous version of product blended. Please tell me, has this clumping been realised by any other athletes who use Superbeets?
I have been drinking it every day, twice a day, since I purchased it and would definitely recommend it to anyone. I can totally feel the difference of taking it vs. not taking it.
After hearing Dana Loesch speak often of SUPER BEETS, I reached the decision to try it. Today, I enjoy a daily energy lift – ALL DAY LONG. Frankly, I was sceptical but was PROVEN wrong. I enjoy the taste and so easy to use with NO side effects; I truly recommend super bees to anyone who’s looking for a natural daily energiser that is healthy and delicious to drink.
On my second container and starting to feel the benefits!!! More energy!
I have been taking Super Beets for a short time, and it has made a big improvement to my health. I have been searching for a long time for a product that would actually deliver what it promises. There is no other product that has made such a great difference in my life. I would like to see my friends and family share the benefits of this amazing product. I especially like the black cherry flavour.
My husband and I have been taking Superbeets for a couple of months now. YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT EVERY DAY! We BOTH feel the difference. I have got my mother and stepmom to take Superbeets as well. More energy and just overall feeling better. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone.

SuperBeets can be purchased from Humann.com. There are numerous different purchasing options.
A single canister costs $39.95, plus delivery charges. There is also a buy 2, get one free option, which costs $79.90 for a total of 3 canisters. Finally, there is a buy 4 get 2 free option, which costs $149.90 for a total of 6 canisters. Delivery charges may apply.
There is also an auto-replenish scheme, which is just another term for an auto-ship programme. Customers can opt-in to receive either a one-month supply at a time, or a three-month supply at a time. The one-month supply is a single canister, which is sent out every 30 days and costs $34.95. The three-month supply consists of three canisters, which are sent out for delivery every 90 days, and costs $69.90, which is also charged every 90 days. Both auto-ship programmes have free delivery and are significantly discounted compared to the one-time order options. However, in general, we dislike auto-ship programmes. They can be easy to forget about, especially if choosing the three-month supply option, and, depending upon the individual company, they can be very difficult to cancel. HumanN, the company who manufacture SuperBeets, state that their auto-ship programme is “free to join and you can cancel at any time by contacting us at 1.855.636.4040”.
Overall, we have a mixed opinion about SuperBeets. We like that this beetroot supplement comes in both apple flavour (labelled as ‘original’) and black cherry flavour, making it ideal for people who dislike the taste of beetroot. The convenience of only having to take a single teaspoon of the powder, mixed into water, is also undeniable – it is definitely more convenient than eating 500 grams of beetroot every single day!
However, we dislike that the exact amount of Nitrates per serving is not revealed. The manufacturers just suggest that the level is enough to make a positive difference to Nitric Oxide levels and general health. The product is vegan.
The product does come with a 90-day satisfaction guarantee, which covers both opened and unopened canisters but it is unclear how this applies to the auto-ship programme.
Nitric oxide does play a role in combating fatigue; however, if you are feeling fatigued without any clear explanation, a visit to your doctor could be beneficial, as fatigue is often a symptom of nutritional deficits or even an underlying health condition.
Overall, if you want to take a nitric oxide supplement, SuperBeets does seem to be a good supplement, but it will not solve every problem and should not be used in the place of medical advice.
SuperBeets come from a US company called HumanN (previously known as Neogenis Laboratories).
The company focuses solely on Nitric Oxide related supplements with other products including Heartgreens, Neo 40, Beet Elite, and Protein 40.
According to the company information, the company’s Chief Science Officer and co-founder Dr Nathan Brown, “has committed his life’s work to the field of N-O research”. This sounds impressive; however, he was not part of the research team who discovered the benefits of Nitric Oxide on cardiovascular health that won the Nobel Prize in 1998.
Nitric oxide helps with improving blood flow around the body, and according to medical experts has numerous benefits. Beets can increase stamina and help reduce fatigue. Some evidence suggests it can improve athletic performance, promote heart health, and lower blood pressure.
SuperBeets contains the equivalent nitrate content of three whole beetroots per serving, so it may work as advertised.
Nitric oxide is nothing to do with nitrous oxide or laughing gas, although the names are very similar. Nitric oxide is a molecular chemical compound produced by the body that helps our cells (all 50 trillion of them) communicate. Nitric oxide is produced by the endothelial (tissue) cells that line the arteries and also acts as a vasodilator, so relaxes the arteries playing a critical role in blood pressure and overall circulation.
There have been numerous clinical studies into nitric oxide. The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 1998 was awarded jointly to scientists, Robert F. Furchgott, Louis J. Ignarro and Ferid Murad “for their discoveries concerning nitric oxide as a signalling molecule in the cardiovascular system”.
It might. A study into drinking beet juice found that it may have an immediate effect on blood pressure. Results indicated that healthy men on average experienced a drop in systolic blood pressure of around 4-5 points following ingestion. Women did not fare as well in this small test possibly because the test candidates were older and /or on prescription medication but still noticed a significant difference.
SuperBeets may provide the same effects.
People take SuperBeets for a variety of health reasons such as reducing blood pressure levels, combating fatigue, and improving general health, in short, all the claims that are being made about nitrates and beetroot for health.
Some customers want the health benefits of beetroot but do not like the taste of beetroot in its natural form or as juice. SuperBeets seem to offer a safe and easy-to-take alternative.
SuperBeets looks safe for most people, but because nitric oxide affects blood vessels it may cause a drop in blood pressure. Symptoms associated with low blood pressure include headache, dizziness, light-headedness, nausea, vomiting, and loss of balance.
Customers have not mentioned side effects but some nitric oxide supplements can cause stomach cramps, nausea, and increased bowel movements.
You can take SuperBeets in a variety of ways. The easiest way to take it is as a quick refreshing drink, by mixing one teaspoon with 4 ounces of water. The SuperBeets website also offers some alternative tips such as adding a teaspoon to healthy recipes provided by the advertising.
Each canister contains a one-month supply, or thirty servings. Make sure to store the canister in a cool, dry place and use within 45 days of opening.
SuperBeets is a branded supplement from a company called HumanN. This company also sells other beet and Nitric Oxide boosting supplements, including Neo 40 and Beet Elite.
There are other beetroot supplements on the market from other companies that seem to do much the same as SuperBeets.
If you buy SuperBeets direct from the official HumanN website, you are encouraged to sign up to Replenishment Program Subscription, also known as auto-ship. This is where fresh supplies are delivered to your home each month, and your bank or credit card billed automatically.
Although signing up to this gives you a discount on products as well as free shipping, we do not advise you to subscribe. These types of agreements can be hard to cancel, and the fact that the terms of the Replenishment Program Subscription are not outlined in the terms and conditions is a matter for concern.
Prices vary depending on where you buy it and how. If you buy from Amazon it costs $39.95 for a 5 oz tub containing 30 servings.
If you buy from the HumanN website, there is a choice of pricing options. As a straightforward one-off purchase SuperBeets costs $39.55 for a 5oz tub of 30 servings. US shipping is an additional $8.95. Buy 2 tubs and you get 1 free for $79.90 so $26.63 per 5 oz tub. Shipping is free with this option. Buy 4 tubs and get an additional 2 tubs free for $149.90 making each tub $24.98 including free shipping.
The monthly subscription costs $34.95 for one tub every 30 days. Alternatively, you can sign up for 3 tubs every 3 months for $69.90. Both auto-ship options include free shipping.
You can contact SuperBeets by phone on 1.855.636.4040. Alternatively, you can reach them by email or live chat via the website.
You can also contact SuperBeets by mail. The company address is;

What got me about the Superbeets “infomercial” was it made sense. Look I’m 54 and work a manual labor 3rd Shift job. I eat healthier than most, DON’T need to lose weight, and I’m NOT ON ANY prescription meds. What I am getting tired of is my coffee / caffeine intake. When I’m off work and up, sometimes I swear I drink more coffee than frat boys at an all night keg-er. Just looking for more energy. There has to be something out there that isn’t either a scam, or requires a drastic lifestyle change (No Senator, I am not now nor have I ever been a vegan :-))
Think I will just not try the product.
Just don’t think it is for me.
I keep pickled beets on hand as well as reg canned beets.
I am disappointed with myself that I did not do more research on powdered ‘super beets’ before buying a jar. I followed the instructions of mixing ‘a rounded spoonful’ into a glass of juice or water everyday. I can honestly say – save your money. This powdered beets supplement is all hype and very expensive. You would be better off buying a case of canned beets or pickled beets and drinking a glass of V8 juice everyday.
There is no research that proves this stuff actually works and they are just hyping the benefits of beets and powdering them into a Kool Aid form.
I left this same review with Health 1 2 3 and it did not get posted – just another website for HumanN who makes the powdered beets.
