iForce Nutrition Thermoxyn MetaPlex™
There are numerous stimulants in this diet pill, including caffeine and bitter orange extract, which will increase the metabolic rate of the body and aid weight loss by burning more calories.
However, there are also some ingredients that are less effective. Green Coffee Bean was once thought to be an effective weight loss aid, and as such is featured in many different diet pills. However the main research to support its use was found to be entirely fabricated.
Raspberry ketone has never been tested in humans, and so its effects are essentially unknown. Garcinia Cambogia is yet another ingredient that has become popular after being featured on the Dr. Oz show, and yet clinical trials are mixed about its effectiveness. Acacia Rigidula has not been well-tested in humans, and its effects are still relatively unknown, although one short term study suggests it could increase the metabolism.
There are a few ingredients that are not directed at weight loss, instead lowering blood pressure and reducing muscle damage from exercise.
Looking at the ingredients list for Thermoxyn, it is clear that some of the ingredients can cause a range of side effects, varying in severity. With no individual ingredient quantities provided, it is not possible to establish just how likely it is that any side effects will occur.
The product contains bitter orange extract. Side effects associated with the use of Bitter Orange extract include increased heart rate and increased blood pressure, heart palpitations, fainting, and even heart attack and stroke in healthy patients.
The Mayo Clinic has recommended avoiding use of Bitter Orange extract because in their opinion, the risk of using the product is not worth the pay-off of any potential weight loss. The effects of bitter orange extract are enhanced when combined with caffeine.
Consuming large quantities of caffeine can lead to headaches, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, heart palpitations, increased urination, dehydration, jitteriness, dizziness and insomnia.
The side effects of Garcinia Cambogia can include dizziness, dry mouth, headache and an upset stomach or diarrhoea. Acacia Rigidula can cause a variety of side effects including energy crashes, jitters, stomach-ache and light-headedness. However, it has never been studied over long term use, and as it contains over 40 different active compounds, it could cause a wide range of side effects that have not been documented in the preliminary research conducted.
Exceeding the recommended servings, not following the directions, or not following the warnings may lead to unwanted effects.

There are numerous reviews for this product at bodybuilding.com, one of the retailers that offers this product.
Awesome product! Good, clean energy. I felt really energized, but without the jitters. I took two as soon as I woke up prior to my workout and I felt great throughout the entire workout(weights/cardio). The energy lasted until about lunch time when I took two more 30 minutes prior to eating. I almost had to force myself to eat due to the appetite suppressant. My body is horrible with caffeine as it keeps me up all night, but as long as I take this supp at least 5 hours before bedtime I’m ok. Would certainly recommend.
I just finished a bottle of iForce Nutrition’s Thermoxyn and had good results. The dosing is easy (two average-sized capsules twice a day). The main effects that I personally noticed were the appetite suppression and the increased energy. The appetite suppression was the biggest effect for me. There were a few times that I had to remind myself to east, because I just wasn’t hungry. The energy level seemed to vary depending on when I took it. This was good, clean energy with no jitters and no crash. I used Thermoxyn a couple of times as a preworkout, and it worked great. The results cant’ be argued with. I was at about 256 lbs. when I started the bottle and at about 249 and some change when I finished it. I will definitely be using Thermoxyn again in the future.
Used 2 caps per day. Could tell strong thermogenic effect right away increased body temp. The thermogenic effect helped me to drop 2.5 pounds because of the calories burned as a result. Focus even with one pill per dose was improved. Would recommend not to have calories to low when taking. My energy levels dropped and felt lathagic due to increased calories burned due to strong thermogenic effect. Could only imagine if took higher doses what results would be in weight lost, focus, and concentration. Kept my dose at two pills due to taking preworkout and wanted to avoid to high of caffeine intake.
Based upon the pictures and statistics of the reviewers, this product is well-received by consumers who are used to taking fat burning products that contain stimulants, who already have a very good body composition and are regular gym-goers and fitness enthusiasts. There are not many reviews from overweight people, and this should be taken into account when considering these reviews.
The customer reviews and ingredients list for Thermoxyn both suggest that this product could aid some weight loss. The product features some ingredients that are considered to be effective at increasing the body’s metabolic rate and aiding weight loss.
However, the product does also include some ingredients that are less effective, or poorly researched at this time, with no clinical evidence in humans. Whilst this does not necessarily mean that they are totally ineffective, it means that the customer is taking a chance when purchasing this product.
The ingredients list does not divulge any ingredient quantities, which makes it much more difficult to establish just how effective this product may be. Without this detailed information, we cannot be more specific than saying the product may aid weight loss, or increase the consumer’s rate of weight loss when combined with an appropriate diet plan and exercise routine.
The product is available from numerous different online retailers.
From the official iforce nutrition website, a bottle of 60 servings, (120 capsules) costs $43.99 plus delivery charges, whilst a packet of 10 servings, (20 capsules) costs $9.99 plus delivery charges.
Best Price Nutrition offer a single bottle of Thermoxyn, containing 120 capsules, for $39.99 plus delivery charges. Bodybuilding.com do sell Thermoxyn, but at the time of writing the product was unavailable. Prices could therefore not be established, but the website offers two sizing options, 120 capsules or 10 2-capsule packets. The smaller option is ideal for trying the product out without making a large financial investment.
No money-back guarantee is offered by the manufacturer, and they have an extremely limited returns policy. They state:
You may return damaged or defective merchandise within 10 days of the original purchase date for a full refund minus shipping charges. We will also be glad to exchange the damaged merchandise for anything on our site of equal or lesser value. We will only issue a refund to the credit card used at the time of checkout. To initiate a refund or exchange please fill out the form on the Contact Us tab.
Overall, it appears that Thermoxyn is a less than ideal product. With no ingredient quantities provided it is impossible to establish just how strong the product really is, or how likely side effects are.
As there is a long list of possible side effects that could occur from using this product, this lack of complete information is problematic. The product is also not covered by a money back guarantee, or even a comprehensive returns policy.
Considering that the product is fairly expensive, this is less than ideal. The way in which the size of the product is marketed can be considered misleading. Some websites state that the bottle contains 120 capsules whilst others state 60 servings.
Stating 60 servings would suggest that each bottle would provide a 2 month supply, but in reality, consumers are instructed to take as many as four capsules per day, i.e. two servings, meaning that a single bottle will last for 30 days.
The ingredients list contains a mixture of clinically proven ingredients and currently popular ingredients that have little clinical evidence. Overall, the ingredients list suggests that the product could aid weight loss, and this is certainly supported by the customer reviews.
However, with the risk of side effects and a long list of limitations on who should and should not use this product, the idea of perhaps losing some weight is not enough for us to recommend Thermoxyn.
