Below we take an in-depth look to see how effective Trimtuf Fat Burning Tea is at aiding weight loss and burning fat.
Trimtuf is a blend of three different teas, oolong, green and black tea. It contains no calories, and is marketed as a fat burner drink. There is evidence that green tea and oolong tea can increase thermogenesis in the body, but the effect of this increase upon weight loss is tiny at best, and is easily counteracted by poor diet choices.
Green tea can cause constipation and gas. The manufacturers state that there is only 24 mg of caffeine per cup of Trimtuf, making caffeine-related side effects quite unlikely, unless the drinker is also consuming a lot of caffeine from other sources, such as coffee. Side effects from caffeine include increased urination, jitters and insomnia.
Whilst Trimtuf appears to be incredibly cheap compared to other weight-loss supplements, when considering the ingredients found in the actual product, which are all incredibly cheap and widely available.
At the time of writing, a box of 20 teabags cost $9.99 plus delivery charges.
Overall, we are not very impressed by Trimtuf Fat Burner Tea at all. The ingredients are very basic, and could be replicated at home at a fraction of the price by purchasing loose leaf oolong, black and green tea, before mixing them together. Whilst Trimtuf is cheap compared to other weight-loss supplements, it is also essentially a tea blend that can be purchased from any tea specialty shop.
There is no money back guarantee, despite what the manufacturers claim on the official website. Their returns policy does not cover opened or used products.
The fact that customers are instructed to use each teabag twice is just inconvenient, especially if you are on the go throughout the day.
There is clinical support to show that catechins, a type of polyphenol found in green tea in high levels, and in oolong tea, can increase thermogenesis, which in turn burns more calories. This can lead to weight loss over time, especially if the calorie-free beverage also replaces other, higher-calorie drinks (creating a calorie deficit), but the calorie burn from the teas found in the blend is considered to be ‘small but significant’ by researchers, and it is easily counteracted by poor diet choices.
Overall, we do not recommend Trimtuf to our readers, as it is too expensive for the ingredients found in the tea.

Trimtuf 10 Day Fat Burner is a weight loss tea that, according to the manufacturers, burns fat.
Several different teas have strong clinical evidence to link their consumption with weight loss, increased thermogenesis, an increased metabolism and other health benefits. However, the weight-loss benefits are still subtle. The best way to lose weight using a tea such as this is to replace higher calorie drinks with Trimtuf or a similar product, and to refrain from adding sugar, honey or milk.
For best results, drink 2 cups of tea in the morning 30 minutes before breakfast and then again 2 cups in the evening 30 minutes after dinner. Note that there are 20 teabags and you must drink 1 teabag per 2 cups in the morning and 1 teabag for the evening 2 cups. That’s a total of 2 teabags per day.
STEP 1. Place teabag in 8 oz. cup
STEP 2. Pour hot water in cup and let sit for 5 minutes or until water turns dark gold.
STEP 3. Repeat step 2 for your second cup using the same teabag.
Drink the 2 morning cups back to back and same with the 2 evening cups.
Exercising? Drink 2 cups of tea before a workout but do not drink a pre-workout or any additional energy drinks.
There is very little information available about who manufactures Trimtuf. There is a return address provided on the official website (provided below), which appears to be a residential address in a suburban area of San Jose, in California. We suspect that this is a small company, and that it is literally run out of the owner’s own home.
5498 Judith St apt 3
San Jose Ca
Contact details for the company are limited; on the official website there is a generic contact box, and they also provide an email address ([email protected]), but no phone number. They appear to be very active on their Instagram account, replying to customers frequently in the comments.
The manufacturers of Trimtuf do indicate, through the full product name, that the tea is intended to burn fat. In addition to this, the website also states:
Other than the name of the product, the manufacturers avoid making clear claims about Trimtuf 10 Day Fat Burner Tea on their official website.
The quantity of catechins in tea varies hugely, not just between types of tea, but even individual brands. There are some studies that suggest that in general teabags contain smaller quantities of catechins per weight than loose leaf tea. Green tea and oolong tea could theoretically aid weight loss by increasing thermogenesis in the body. Oolong tea appears to specifically improve lipid metabolism. However, without knowing the quantity or quality of any of these teas, it is not possible to directly compare the ingredients in Trimtuf to relevant clinical trials. Brewing time and product quality would both have a strong impact upon the number of catechins present in a beverage made with Trimtuf. Drinking a weight loss tea is much more unpredictable in terms of its benefits compared to a capsule containing a tea extract.
If Trimtuf is used to replace a higher calorie drink, then it could help to accelerate the consumer’s rate of weight loss, just by helping to create a calorie deficit – people often forget to count the calories in their drinks when dieting, and the calories from coffees, juices and soft drinks can add up fast! The tea could also increase thermogenesis, but the effect is overall considered to be small, and is unlikely to cause huge amounts of weight loss on its own.
The ingredients used in Trimtuf are detailed below. No ingredient quantities are provided, but the website states that each serving of one cup should contain around 24 mg of caffeine.
The ingredients used in Trimtuf 10 Day Fat Burner Tea could cause some side effects.
All of the teas used in this blend are a source of caffeine, which can cause headaches, increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, heart palpitations, increased urination, dehydration, jitteriness, dizziness and insomnia. Having said that the total amount of caffeine per cup of tea is reportedly only 24 mg. This makes side effects unlikely unless you are already consuming a lot of caffeine from other sources; monitor your daily caffeine intake to reduce the chances of side effects developing. Drinking plenty of water throughout the day will also help to reduce the chances of side effects developing.
Green tea can cause constipation and gas.
Not suitable for those under the age of 18. Not suitable for those sensitive to caffeine. Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor if you are unsure about the suitability of this product for you before purchase.
There are a few, all generally short and lacking detail. Whilst three of the four customer reviews were positive, the fourth was negative, suggesting that taking the product had not led to any weight loss.
Upset. Purchased around 20 packets and used them all! But still look like a bubble.
