In this review, we intend to take a closer look and see if these claims are substantiated with evidence.
Usana Nutrimeal is based on the premise that our body needs nutrition but doesn’t get it easily due to our fast-paced lifestyles. As a result, we often skip meals or opt for fast foods that do nothing to contribute to good health. Even for people who are health conscious and workout regularly, cooking a healthy breakfast may be a time-consuming chore. Yet, this is the most important meal of the day. This is where Usana steps in to try and help.
They have developed the low glycemic Nutrimeal shakes, which are filled with rich Dutch Chocolate and are convenient to make. They do not cause massive fluctuations in blood glucose levels, so they are safe for most people.
Many users have complained about headaches, dizziness and brain fog in the initial days of taking this supplement. But more worrisome than that are the various studies and reviews that show how the ingredients used can lead to severe health conditions. Long-term use of this meal replacement formula may lead to inflammation, hormonal imbalance, severe gastrointestinal issues, and stomach cramps. The abnormally high amounts of sugar present in it could also trigger diabetes and obesity.
Usana Nutrimeal is an expensive product. One bag costs USD $34.05 and has just nine servings in it.
The theory behind Usana Nutrimeal is a good one because it intends to help people get a nutritious meal even when they are too busy to cook. Reviews show that it can help curb hunger and lead to increased energy levels. It is filled with ingredients that promise to deliver a variety of nutrients that a body needs to function properly. Despite these points, we cannot rate it highly or recommend it.
Unfortunately, it has an extremely high sugar content. The use of the various ingredients in this particular formula, such as fructose, raises the risks of many health conditions. These may have a severe impact on the quality of life and longevity. It is also an expensive product with no money-back guarantee, and is quite often sold through a MLM scheme.
With all the above risks, there’s no value for money, so we do not recommend Usana Nutrimeal.

Usana Nutrimeal has been available in the market since 1992. It has built up a reputation as a meal replacement product over the years. It aims to help people get optimum nutrition and to keep them satiated. Along with that it also raises the energy levels so that users can perform well throughout the day.
It contains dietary fiber that helps maintain good circulation and a healthy heart. The formula also contains other proteins with soy and whey. Soy and whey proteins contain essential amino acids, while basic soy helps maintain heart health with low blood pressure and low cholesterol levels. Several flavours are available. These options include 5 packs of shakes in strawberry, vanilla, chocolate flavours. The bag also contains 5 Oatmeal Cookie and 5 Peanut Butter Crunch bars.
The labels says to combine 3 scoops of the shake powder with 10-12 ounces of cold water, then to thoroughly mix in a blender.
It also says that it can replace one to two meals a day, but one should consult a doctor or nutritionist to know more.
Usana is a three-part weight management system designed to be a cleanse and reset program. It aims to curb cravings and adapt to eating healthy food, as well as bring about steady weight loss instead of rapid loss to help maintain that desired weight. The label lists fructose as the secondary ingredient, which immediately disappoints. We cannot speak enough about the detrimental effects of fructose, and this high dosage is definitely not a good option for a meal replacement.
Even if it did provide all the benefits that are listed above and bring about weight loss, the formula can have long term ill-effects on health. The fibers are processed, and other ingredients have a number of side-effects tagged with them. It relies too heavily on soy and fructose, on top of the extra-large serving size to deliver the taste, consistency and benefits. This will be even more detrimental to the user. For all these reasons, we cannot recommend this product.
Usana Nutrimeal claims to be an excellent meal replacement formula that will help people consume essential nutrients easily. The formula is said to touch base on all the important food groups like fibers and proteins to satiate and energize the body. While some users have reported that this method worked for them, several reviews also show how the ingredients can lead to severe health risks. The presence of excess fructose is a serious cause for concern.
Judging by the reviews that the product has received over the years, Usana Nutrimeal has worked for some people. It is definitely filled with enough sugar to charge up the system and keep one energized, and the proteins, carbs and fibers will satisfy the need for a meal. However, numerous reviews have also pointed out side effects from the product as well as long term health risks associated with the various ingredients.

There are some customer reviews available for this product online.
My husband and I have a Nutrimeal smoothie for breakfast every Sunday morning before going to church. I had run out of the Nutrimeal and was using another product – it was okay, but once you’ve tasted the Nutrimeal and enjoyed the good, healthy feeling from using it, it’s just not the same. I plan to order more of the Dutch Chocolate and of the Vanilla soon!
I started using this product a couple of months ago. I LOVE it!! I use it as a meal replacement 2 times a day (breakfast & dinner) I am completely addicted to it. I put it in the blender with ice and water sometimes milk and it is the best milkshake. At first I didnt think it had alot of flavor but I am addicted now. I have lost 15 pounds already and would recommend this to anyone trying to loose weight. I have only tried the Chocolate.
Not impressed at all – First my disclaimer: In the interest of full disclosure, I have to say I joined the Usana team for $20 as an associate because I was looking for vitamins and I thought I could get credit for buying from myself. Also, (in the interest of full disclosure), from my research, I did not feel comfortable with all business practices but I couldn’t find anything negative about the products (except cost).
The taste is adequate and the vitamins and nutrients are also adequate. However the little amount you get for the price makes it a pass for me. I’m taking a sufficient amount of vitamins and nutrients from their product line, so I don’t need to take it for that reason. I was thinking this product would help me with my weight loss goals since it’s a meal replacement but when I weigh the pros and cons, I’m better off finding something at the health food store. You’re supposed to use 3 scoops (it’s now in a pouch rather than the can) and with just one meal being replaced a day, it was gone in about a week.
When we tried this, we didn’t feel at all satisfied. We are active people although not overly active. We eat a wholesome diet and are not obese. The nutritional label looks good, but when you look at the ingredients you do not feel like you are getting a rounded diet as you do with some other companies meal replacements.
There is no information on a money-back guarantee on the official website or anywhere else. Though it is sold through some retail outlets, it is mostly sold via the MLM network, so chances of refunds are even less here.
It can be purchased from the official website, from a wide MLM network, along with retail sites like Amazon and eBay.
