But are Women’s Best Slim Caps everything they claim to be, or are they a bit of a scam? We’ve taken a closer look at sit to see just how well it work in your attempt to lose weight.
Women’s Best Slim Caps is a natural water-soluble dietary fiber capsule, containing just one ingredient: glucomannan. It is manufactured and sold by Women’s Best, who are based in Austria.
If taken as directed, glucomannan, the only ingredient in this supplement, is considered relatively safe. However, there is the risk of choking or blockage of the throat and esophagus if the glucomannan expands before reaching the stomach. Some people may experience some mild side effects such as wind, bloating, soft stools, or diarrhea.
Women’s Best Slim Caps costs £14.99 from the Women’s Best website, with free shipping. This is the ‘birthday offer’ on at the time of writing, with the apparent RRP being £30. They are also available from Boots at £25.00.
This is a strange one. The product will work – there is no denying that, as even the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) states that they will help weight loss if taken as directed with plenty of water. We know they work, but we still do not like these at all.
First of all, we don’t like the way they are targeted at women, as anyone can take these supplements and it will have the same effect. Secondly, we don’t like the lack of information about the company producing and selling these, and their distinct lack of money-back guarantee or returns policy. Thirdly, even though £14.99, which is the price that at the time of writing the product is selling for, seems relatively cheap, we must remember that this product only contains one ingredient – glucomannan. There are other supplements out there for a similar price that have many more ingredients that will help in other ways – such as increase metabolism (which this product will not directly do), give the user more energy or lift their mood. All this will do is artificially fill you up for a short time.
We are also slightly concerned about the dosage. The European Food Safety Authority recommends taking glucomannan three times a day, at a dosage of 1000mg. There appears to be 500mg (although this has not been verified – there is a distinct lack of information both on the bottle and on the website) in each capsule of this supplement, and it is recommended to be taken twice a day, two capsules at a time. This is a lower dosage than recommended. We also noticed that the dosage instructions on the Boots website are completely different, which is confusing – and potentially dangerous – for consumers. There are much better products out there for a similar price point. With all of this in mind, we do not recommend Women’s Best Slim Caps to our readers.
Its ingredients are scientifically proven to aid weight loss and you are covered by a full 60-day money-back guarantee from a trusted company, making Phentatrim a very popular choice in the diet world.
Phentatrim is the best thing to hit the supplement market in a long time, with thousands of customers already seeing the benefits. That’s why it's our editor's top pick.

Women’s Best Slim Caps is a slimming capsule from Austria containing just one ingredient: glucomannan. Glucomannan is a natural water-soluble dietary fiber extracted from the roots of the elephant yam, which is also known as konjac. Four capsules are taken a day – two before lunch and two before dinner, and Women’s Best recommend using it in conjunction with one of their other products, the Slim Body Shake for optimum weight loss.
There is next to no information about the company that manufactures and sells the product on the website. There is some basic contact information, such as an address and email address, but no information about when the company was established or their ethos. They do have a large (200,000+) following on social media, which makes us think they may be a reputable brand. They appear to be based in Austria, but the product is manufactured in the UK.
Take two capsules 30 minutes before your lunch or Slim Body Shake and two capsules before your dinner or Slim Body Shake (4 capsules daily). Please drink a large glass of water with every intake of the capsules.
The manufacturers of Women’s Best Slim Caps make the following claims about the product and how it works to aid weight loss:
A natural, water-soluble dietary fiber extracted from the roots of the elephant yam, also known as konjac. High-quality and all natural blend, this product is one of the most effective weight loss supplements which causes a natural feeling of satiety after intake. This all natural ingredient also contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels and stops your food cravings.
- Diminishs appetite (sic)
- Supports fat metabolism
- Makes you feel full longer
- Glucomannan contributes to weight loss
Yes, the Women’s Best Slim Caps will work. They contain glucomannan, which we know absorbs water and swells up in the stomach to leave the consumer feeling full for longer. This will, as the website claims, diminish the appetite and contribute to weight loss in the longer term. However, the claim of supporting fat metabolism is unsubstantiated and untrue. The experts at the European Food Safety Association examined the results obtained from numerous studies into the ingredient and revealed that whilst it does have value as a safe and natural appetite suppressant, it does not directly influence metabolism. Any fat that is metabolised as a result of consuming this product will be due to a deficit in calories in the body – the supplement will create this deficit but does not actively encourage the process, so this claim is misleading.
The only ingredient in the Women’s Best Slim Caps is glucomannan. This is a natural water-soluble dietary fiber extracted from the roots of the elephant yam, also known as konjac. It gives consumers a natural feeling of fullness, which in turn will lead to them eating less and consuming less calories, allowing them to achieve their weight loss goals. It is not specified how much is in each capsule on the website or the bottle, but we believe that is around the 500mg mark.
When the consumer drinks a large glass of water with the pill, as directed, the glucomannan absorbs much of the water from the stomach, swelling up and creating a soft mass, much like a sponge. This makes the consumer feel full and reduces hunger cravings. It also delays the emptying of the stomach, and reduces the absorption of protein and fat. It also feeds the friendly bacteria in your intestine, which turn it into short-chain fatty acids like butyrate which has been shown to protect against fat gain in some studies of animals. It can also help to reduce and maintain normal levels of blood cholesterol and reduce blood sugar levels.
Serving size is equal to 1 capsule.
Glucomannan is considered relatively safe if taken as directed. However, if glucomannan expands before reaching the stomach, it may cause choking or blockage of the throat and esophagus. It may also, in some people, cause mild side effects, such as bloating, flatulence, soft stools, or diarrhea.
Do not take more than the recommended dosage. Seek advice from a healthcare professional if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have an underlying medical condition. Make sure you consume a large glass of water with each capsule as directed.
There are over 85 pages of reviews on the website, and most of them sing the product’s praises. However, many of the earlier ones, going back to 2015 mention a product called ‘Craving Crusher’, so it is not clear if they are referring to a completely different product or the product was renamed and rebranded as ‘Slim Caps’. We have been unable to find any independent reviews, apart from some bloggers which may have been paid to promote the product.
There is no evidence on the website of any money-back guarantee or any returns policy. If you do purchase this product, you are probably better off buying it from one of the third-party sellers, such as Boots, who will have their own returns policy.
You can purchase these from the official Women’s Best website, or from third party stockists such as Boots. Prices vary from £14.99 to £30, depending on where you buy them from.
